The gastropub serves up dishes made with Japanese techniques and herbs, while blending familiar Indian ingredients with them.
Ingredients such as green garlic, winter carrots, Bhavnagri chillies and fresh fennel find their way into a number of dishes, never taking away from the techniques, but enhancing the taste of the dish. The Cold Noodle Salad with handpulled ramen noodles with its creamy sesame miso dressing is refreshing and light. But we want to sample the yakitoris, something the restaurant has an extensive range of. The restaurant also does some lovely sorbets - we kept going back to dig in the Apple Fennel as well as the Strawberry Shiso
Swnaky interiors. Spaced out .massive bar. And good service. They give you a feeling of being in a fine di dining place and thatvworks. We just went for the biwls and boy the ramen was good . It was a nice thick broth..the noodles were giving s good handmade frsh feel. The chicken was perfectly grilled. And was soft enough in the broth
Visited Mizu second time around. Service and food were both excellent! Had small plates followed by the Hakata Chicken Nabemono one-pot meal! Delicious and wholesome with its flavourful and mushroom rich broth.
Visit this place people!
While the food was good the ambience not so good. We were given tables in the centre with dim lighting. The rude manager refused to change it until we were leaving. Then we given a table of 4 for 6 persons, only to realize that the table for 8 which was refused to us, was given to a group of 4.
Quite dinner with family for 31st was the plan but no issues
Mizu has a modern decor, loads of high chairs, loud music and a vibe
Miso soup with seafood was a clear broth, tangy taste non spicy decent
Stuffed mushrooms were nice
Bao chicken karrage was really good, juicy, tender chicken, good flavors 9/10
Yakitori prawns and yakitori chicken on sticks were both good, prawns were nice crispy crunchy ,both had that eastern asian sort of flavour,8/10
Yakitori chicken ramen was pretty fancy, serving was an experience, the broth was nice but a bit bland for my taste, noodles were nicely cooked
The pornstar martini cocktail and orange-basil mojito were nice add ins to keep it going
Strawberry ripple ice cream was decent
Chocolate zen was really chocolatee ,slightly bitter taste nice crispy chocolate balls with mousse inside, chocolate sand, few cut strawberries 8/10
The service is really quick,go slow on your orders, the staff is courteous
Overall a really good and loud way to usher in the new year, will revisit soon
Visited after reading a celebrity review. The cocktails and saki drink we ordered were very refreshing and there were more Japanese drinks which would love to try if we go again. The seafood bowl we tried was nice and so was the dumpling. The two sushi we tried were okay. Have had better in Mumbai. Surely a one time visit
I was impressed with the posh interiors of this place. I found their Kaarage chicken bao to be a tad dry and their pork bao a bit underdone but these are teething troubles for any new establishment. I was mighty impressed with their Chicken thigh yakitori & both the pork & chicken gyozas. Very fine stuff indeed. I’d like to explore more of their food menu & perhaps some of their cocktails menu - the next time I visit this place. I hope to see Japanese favourites like Omurice, Katsu Sando & Katsu Curry!
Loved the food and the martini. The decor was really nice and romantic. Especially the bar, beautiful decor. The dim sums were my favorite. Definitely worth a visit.
They serve authentic Japanese Cuisine. I visited this place for the first time and the food was just amazing. Totally recommended
Mizu is great stuff and serves some sick (not literally) mushrooms. Their dishes are prepared pretty well and have a great taste. Good for social visits.
Mizu means water in Japanese. This place primarily serves Japanese cuisine. Mizu looks so beautiful. Damn those interiors are so classy and eyecatchy. Food is top notch. Some may feel it is overrated place but believe me its just vfm bcoz the experience is lovely.
Misu a fine dining place to go to if you are in love with japanese food, they serve one of the best authentic japense food in the town with details in their work and keeping the authenticity in the plate without compromising the amazing taste for your taste buds. The yakitori over here was amazing. ONe of the must haves when you are here. Also the japenese beers which they servre are savouring. The bao, the udon noodles, the mocktails...Everything here was as authentic as it could be. INcase you wanna have japense food and save the money on your flight ticket to japan go and visit MISU, worth the visit. Last but not the least dont forget to try out the Japanese cheesecake for all the sweet toothers.
I’ve been a fan of Japanese cuisine for the longest time now. Mizu, located in Worli specialises in contemporary Japanese cuisine and certainly is a go to place if you wish to binge onto some Authentic Japanese Style dishes.
Coming to the dishes in their menu, we started off our meal with the Yakitori which basically is a meat based skewers. We opted for their Chicken Supremely Yakitori comprising of Succulent chicken pieces tucked in the form of skewers topped with mayo. Highly recommended.
Besides this we also opted for the yummiest PorkBao I’ve had in the longest time. Piping hot steamed bao stuffed with flavourful pork belly slices was such a treat for the tastebuds. Pork lovers must opt for this one for sure.
Besides this we also tried the Gyoza menu which are pan fried Dimsums. The Prawn Gyoza is my top favourite here.
From the main course menu we called in for StirFriedChickenSobaNoodles which basically comprises of thin buckwheat Noodles tossed with loads of sauces, veggies and chicken. Highly relished every bit of it.
They do serve a wide range of rice bowls too. We called in for their PrawnKatsuCurryrRiceBowl. So filling and so flavourful.
Amongst the desserts their JapaneseStyle Cotton Cheesecake tastes delectable and it’s irresistibly yummy taste is still lingering in my mouth. You cannot leave this place without bingeing onto this unique dessert.
Mizu is a fine dine located at Worli in Atria Mall!
I love Japanese cuisine so was here to try out post my work schedule!
To my surprise the place was quite packed on a weekday
The decor is elegant yet beautiful the small elements are very thoughtfully kept as decor pieces.
The menu has a vast variety of dishes!
Wanted to try the best of all so asked the staff to recommend us
Endamame & Truffle gyoza - The gyoza were with endamame filling when dipped in chilli sauce made it even more amazing
Corn & jalapeno korokke - the corn & the jalapeno korokke were served with a side dip the korokke was stuffed with filling soft for inside & crispy from the outside
This dish was something different but definitely worth the try
Avocado & cream cheese maaki roll - A big fan of sushi I wonder y don't they have it on their menu. But the staff made this for us on our special request that was so nice of them. The sushi were amazing As it is I have had so many sushis till date n I m still not enough.
The server some housemade dezato ie dessert
Autumn lantern - lovely Japanese cheesecake with baked apple, sage jelly & caramel parafait. This combo is a total delight
Chocolate Zen - Madagascar mouse, strawberry & texture of sesame. The chocolate ball has three layers the sweet chocolate, below it is the dark chocolate mousse & last is the strawberry confit the taste insanely good!
The dishes were amazing & made to perfection we usually keep trying Japanese cuisine around but this place serves some really authentic dishes.
The prices are on a higher side but the quality is to the mark!
Will surely visit here again with family and friends!
We had one of the best Ramen here in Mizu, we paired it up with the pomegranate yuzu which went with it. The ambience is classy and aesthetic. Service was super fast. Overall we had an amazing experience here
As you enter Mizu, you will instantly notice an arched roof that sports an elegant Japanese artwork. The cherry blossom motif has been used in varying forms across Mizu's interiors, be it as an embroidery on the bar stools, as artwork on the custom pendants, and as a tabletop print on the communal table. Even the main façade of the restaurant replicates the simplistic yet unique style of Japanese screens done in a modern and abstract form.
The Service provided by our attendant Vijay here at Mizu was one of the best ones that i've ever encountered.
Don’t go expecting sushi and sashimi because traditionally that is not what a Japanese bar will serve you, instead, chop on their chicken and mizuna gyozas, which are juicy with a beautiful glaze on the bottom. Their crab korokke and chicken karrage bao are a must try.
For mains we had the Seafood Ramen which had flavorsome broth and smooth noodles with wide range of topping of eggs, prawns and black garlic oli. We also tried their Katsu Chicken Donburi, the presentation was a treat to the eyes and the dish, a treat to one’s soul.
We ended on a sweet note with the Japanese Cheesecake. 3 words : Enticing, Exquisite and Extravagant. The dessert was definitely the highlight of our drool-worthy platter.
Some of their dishes are really amazing especially pork Pao, Pizza man, Fried prawn and Teriyaki udon.
On the othe hand, I suggest them that Ramen noodles will be better if it's more "Al dente".
Just go and have the Japanese shaved ice dessert in the coffee and tiramisu version. You'll thank me.
Amazing food should not miss the pork belly and pls try the Hamachi it’s a hit!!!
Do try out this place surely.
The chef and the staff, both are dng a commendable job
Must say it's a complete package of great food with great ambience
Surely coming over again
One of the best places in Atria Mall to try out some Japanese cuisine.
They have amazing dishes to try out here along with sparkling cocktails or mocktails.
They have beautiful decor and themed walls.
Amazing place to relish your dinner
Mizu is one of the finest restaurants in Mumbai serving Japanese cuisine located on the ground level of Atria Mall in Worli .
They have a swanky bar right at the entry with luxurious seating arrangement for the esteemed guests .
The ambiance is classy with dim lights to give a cosy & comfortable feel .
We had heard a lot about this place for almost a year & finally visited it last night for a family dinner .
We tried the following items.
Virgin Watermelon Cosmo
Guava Togarashi
Orange & Basil Mojito
Agedashi Tofu
Suffed Mushrooms
Veg Ramen
Donburi Mush & Tofu Don
Hazelnut Cacao
Chocolate Zen
The drinks were refreshing served in fancy glasses . The food was stellar in all respect with top quality ingredients used which elevate the dish notches higher .
The staff is courteous & dressed in crisp uniforms .
Had a lovely evening thanks to Misu for a memorable experience .
Had a wonderful lunch at Mizu. The ambience was a little sombre for my taste but not much to complain about. Being pure vegetarian, we doubted the selection available and it was a little less veg friendly. Starters were stuffed mushroom and the shiitake gyoza. The stuffed mushroom was fantastic! Must have here! Gyoza was bland but ably made up with ponzu and the chilli yuzu condiments. We had the veg Katsu don for mains and were blown away by the delicate flavour and the friend spinach. Were too full to try the desserts but will keep it for next time.
Mizu is a new place in atria mall serving Japanese food
The place has pretty much amazing decor and the overall vibe is too good!
They have amazing food varieties which is curated nicely by the chef.
The desserts are equally good while the bar serves you some great liquor!
Do try this one if you love Japanese food

* REVIEW IS BASED ON PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!
This was my first time trying authentic Japanese food but mizu made it memorable! It has the perfect ambience that flavoured the food more. The service makes you feel more welcomed to the restaurant. They check up on you and even suggest you dishes that will suit your taste.
Appetizers:
For starters we ordered local Portobello. This dish for us stole the show and had us mesmerized with the flavour. Its basically mushroom stuffed with cheese and rolled with zucchini. It had a little bit of sweet but burnt after taste. We had also ordered cold noodle salad which was different for me flavourful.
Main course:
For main course we ordered edamame and truffle gyoza which had a very fresh taste , we were provided with two dips - soy sauce and chilli oil which spiced it up a little bit.
Along with this we ordered veg ramen. We were surprised with its full quantity. It had so many vegetables that were adjusted perfectly to the noodles.
Desserts:
For dessert we ordered chocolate Zen and Japanese cotton cheesecake , it was the perfect ending to the dinner.
Beverages:
No dinner is complete without drinks. The one that stole our heart was appletini and pomegreanate yuzu!
So I was waiting to go to Mizu for a while now and finally got a chance yesterday. Must say it was a perfect meal to end my Birthday.
We ordered the edamame and truffle gyoza along with the pork, naga chilli & fermented cabbage gyoza, oh the flavour! Subtle yet packing a punch.
We then ordered a wasabi and goat cheese spread which came with tapioca chips and it was to die for! A perfect blend of wasabi flavour and cheese with every bite not overpowering at all
Mains were mushroom tofu don, which, on tasting my companion literally slid from their chair! and for the dish that I was eagerly waiting for the Ramen- I ordered the Sapporo ramen and it lived up way better than my expectations. The bone broth was flavourful and light, the pork, oh the pork! soft and melt in your mouth. It even had the Naruto Maki which was the first time I've witnessed it in ramen in Mumbai.
Dessert. The Autumn Lantern and Matcha Aduki Apple. Simply a work of art.
Hats off to Mizu for a wonderful experience
Btw they have a wonderful Garam masala Ponzu that I couldn't get enough of, lucky for me they also sell it. Needless to say, two bottles were purchased!
Cheers
Mizu meaning water in Japanese is the cuisine this restaurant serves. Located inside Atria mall, Worli this place is a surprise package and divine for people who love Japanese cuisine.
DRINKS :
Cocktail and the mocktail menu will leave you out of options with the variety available. We started with the orange basil Mojito ro give our taste buds a tangy start. Watermelon cosmo was another mocktail tried. Both went well with their appetizers.
Guava Tagarashi and Yuzu pomegranate are also decent ones which one can try.
FOOD :
Appetizers menu is expansive. We were intrigued to order their authentic dishes. Called for the Yakitori Prawns and the Chicken karrage Bao. Grilled scallops topped with chilli oil was also one of the appetizers we tried.
Mains also had options for donburis and ramen bowls. We stuck to the basics and ordered Seafood Ramen Bowl. Filled with Mussels, grilled prawns and scallops. Their chicken Katsu curry looked pretty presented along side Katsu chicken, rice topped alongside wasabi and their sumptuous curry.
DESSERTS :
They serve some mind blowing home made ice creams especially their sorbets. We were reluctant to try the Japanese cotton Cheesecake which was served with the honeycomb ice cream. Extremely delicious.
Next up was the chocolate zen which was a dark chocolate dome filled up with Strawberry and presented really well.
Visited this place with a friend as i wanted to taste authentic japanese cuisine . I have never been to japan but the ambience felt like i was in the japan itself
You get different choice of seatings from high to low and all seemed to comfortable
Food was really awesome
I would highly recommend this place to everyone
Grab some mouthwatering Japanese cuisine which surely will tantalize your taste buds.♥️
Fine Dine restaurant serving authentic Japanese cuisine, the service and food was upto the mark. It's a huge place with fantastic interiors. ❣️❣️
Pomegranate Yuzu - It's an amalgamation of pomegranate juice with a dash of Japanese lime ' yuzu' . Topped with foam (egg white), I would definitely recommend this one it's so fresh and refreshing. MUST TRY! ♥️
Guava Togarashi - Blend of guava juice, with a slight hint of chilli that will hit you in the throat. It's kinda regular guava chilli drink.
Orange and basil mojito - Amazingly made mojito with the flavors of orange and basil. It's surely very tasty and refreshing.🤩
The Hojicha tea is a Japanese green tea, served in a porcelain pot. It is a little light to reddish brown in colour, it has low caffeine amount since it is roasted. There are a number of health benefits linked with drinking Hojicha tea such. ☕💖
These vegetarian Gyozas are the perfect appetizer, they taste amazing. The dumpling skins, a bit toothier, taste wonderful, filled with shiitake and peas with the bottom half of the dumpling just a little bit crusty and cruncy. It is served with citrus chilli oil and a smoked ponzu sauce, both of which are pretty good.☺️
Tokyo mousse - Delectable dish made with wasabi, goat cheese, edamame and topped with sweet potato chips. It has a very cheesy and Creamy taste with a slight sour taste to it. 😘
Veg Ramen - Authentic Japanese ramen noodles with lots of sweet corn, edamame, sprouts and tofu coated with sesame seeds. We didn't really enjoyed this dish as compared to the others.
Veg katsu Don and Golden curry - Its a simple dish consisting of a mix of savory curry poured over a bed of rice. It is served with a side of Chips made of spinach leaves. The gravy is absolutely flavorful with carrots and cucumber (not sure about this) and it is actually a very filling dish. Loved the curry and the chips, one of my most recommended dishes from here.
A layer of chocolate ball topped with a baked spongy chocolate topping filled with strawberries, chocolate ganache frosting, small chocolate balls, and fresh strawberries, this piece is a delight to the mouth, bittersweet taste from the ganache and the sweetness of strawberries just melts in the mouth with an after taste of the chocolate.💯🖤
Ambiance - ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Food - ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Service - ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of the classiest restaurants in town. It's a modern take to Japanese cuisine. Really good Japanese menu but they don't have sushi, which is weird.
The ambience is modern and the crowd is fantastic. The service as well is great.
Ambience 5/5
Service 5/5
Food 5/5
I'd highly recommend their Gyozas and and hotpot's
I love this place and would highly recommend it.
Mizu located in the Atria mall in Worli is famous for its Japanese cuisine. The ambiance of the place is great, some long chairs and also some normal chairs n table arrangement they have. Service given by Cled was fantastic, as it's Japanese food so apart from sushi, baos and dimsums other things we ain't aware of. So the food whichever comes on table whether its veg or nonveg was recommended by him. About Mocktails which we tried were Pomegrante Yuzi Appletini, Guava Togarashi which were good in taste, Yazu Appletini is non-vegetarian drink as it contains egg yolk. Rest all the drinks were vegetarians. The Food we had, Yaki leg with YAzu kosho, Gyoza Shitake & Peas, Yakitori Ramen. Ramen noddles in the soupy form with eggs and chicken and corn added to it. In dessert i had Chocolate Zen which was awesome in taste. Overall i had amazing time in Mizu. Recommendations to all.

💥 Yuzu Pomegranate: - It is one of their signature mocktail. It is made using fresh pomegranate juice with some spices and topped with egg white foam. The drink was very good.
💥 Chicken Supreme Yakitori:- Yakitori means skewers grilled over charcoal. The chicken was very soft and perfectly chargrilled and is served with wasabi sauce. This was very delicious.
💥 Pumpkin and sweet potato karokke: - Deep fried ball with stuffing of red cabbage, pumpkins and sweet potato. It was perfectly deep fried and was crisp and very delicious.
💥 Veg Katsu Don and Golden curry: - Japanese sticky rice served with deep fried battered rocket leaves. The golden curry was very good and bit spicy in taste. It is made using Japanese seven spice mix.
💥 Japanese cotton cheesecake: - Soufflé cheesecake served with honey gelato, honey comb and honey miso toffee. The cheesecake was very soft and moist and tasted delicious with honey gelato. It was beautifully presented as well.
💥 Hazelnut cacao: - This dessert was just amazing and sinful. Rich hazelnut mousse served with chocolate ice cream, hazelnut gateau and caramel sauce. This was very good and beautiful presentation.
The service was also very quick and our table incharge Mr. Vijay was perfect host. He guided us with the menu and suggested which drinks and food we should go for. The quality of food served is just amazing.

Mizu is known for their skewers aka Yakitori. We had the Shimeji Mushrooms wrapped in bacon. Now imagine a flavour bomb. That's what exploded in my mouth 😂
We also Shoyu Tare Glazed Pork Belly Bao. Japanese inspired bao was totally new to me. Prawns and Manipuri Bamboo Shoot Gyoza was amazing as well.
Now for the dish that i was eagerly waiting for - Ramen. We had the Sapporo - everything that I had imagined my Ramen bowl to be like. It even had the Naruto Maki which I have been craving to eat since my childhood days watching the anime Naruto.
Now for Dezato - that's dessert. Ohh they are so beautifully made. Autumn Lantern and Matcha Aduki Apple. Simply a work of art.
Hatsoff to the chef and the staff members and thank you for such an amazing evening.

8. Ramen Sapparo-
The dish I have got no words to explain how this dish is a Star at this place !! Bone broth with pork and duck egg , with mushrooms , sea weed , corn and Handpulled inhouse Noodles making the dish a Masterpiece of the place . The best of the dish is it has Narutomaki which is topped on to the ramen which is kind of processed fish cake.

Overall I Had Wonderful Experience Here by Trying Japanese Cuisine, Infact I Think This Was My Best Experience about trying Japanese Cuisine. Highly Recommending This Place For Having Japanese Cuisine
This is an awesome restaurant for Japanese cuisine. Wa here with my dad for some nice Japanese dishes. It’s located in the Atria Mall on the ground floor and has an awesome ambiance. The staff is very friendly and they have got a nice menu. We are vegetarian and they do have dishes for vegetarians too. We tried a couple of starters and they were absolutely awesome. The mains were very delicious too. And the desserts are just awesome. Not just presented well, they taste awesome. All I. All, had a wonderful dining experience.
水 Mizu, meaning "Water", represents the fluid, flowing, and the formless things in the world.
This ultra classy restaurant is located on the ground floor in Atria Mall. You are greeted warmly by their courteous staff and there are choices of seating and tables. We preferred a high table and went through their exhaustive menu. Unlike other Japanese cuisine restaurants, their menu is beyond the most common Japanese dishes available in other restaurants. This is one of their USP. You really need to have an understanding of Japanese food to know what’s on the menu. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and can describe the dish in case you’re confused. Luckily, I had my younger brother along who visits Japan each month and has a fair idea of the dishes. The menu here is not about cold food like Sushis, etc, instead it’s about the other hot food that is really delicious and they cook it to perfection. My brother here really has a taste for the dishes we ordered and he said it’s cooked very well, has a perfect taste, aroma is at its best and presented it the Japanese style. It’s said that Japanese people eat their presentation first and their their food. They are in love with perfectly presented dishes. And so was the case here at Mizu. Each dish very well presented, and tastes delicious too. A Nabemono one pot dish is cooked right in front of you for eight minutes on a gas. You have to really really visit this restaurant for the finest of the Japanese food. Nishant assisted us in choosing our dishes and had a wonderful culinary discussion with him about the dishes. His knowledge about Japanese cuisine is very good and thorough. Had a wonderful time with him. I’d reckon people not to miss their desserts. They are just awesome. They would describe the exact percentage of the Dark Chocolate being used along with the other ingredients. Their description itself is mouth watering, the actual desserts are much much more. Super classy.
We had the following dishes:
S T A R T E R S
Corn and Jalapeño Korokke - this is a dish made with pickled red cabbage and crispy chips
Tokyo Mousse - a delicious dish made with edamame with a tinge of wasabi and goat cheese.
Gyoza made with Edamame and Truffle. This is panseared Japanese dumplings served with yuzu citrus chilli oil and a smoked ponzu sauce. A dish not to be missed.
M O C K T A I L S
Fresh Lima Sofa
Virgin Pomegranate Yuzu
Orange and Basil Mojito

Mizu is a Japanese Fine Dining restaurant at Atria Mall, Worli. The interiors are simple and elegant with beautiful seating arrangements. Each table had a miniature of Zen garden which was too cute. The seating arrangement was very comfortable. The drinks, food and the service were all excellent.
Coming to the Drink, we ordered
🔸 Virgin Bloody Mary Wasabi – A simple mocktail made from tomato juice and some spices. The wasabi powder on the rim was what made this drink different and unique.
🔸 Orange & Basil Mojito – Mojito being my favorite, I had to order this. Very refreshing and a perfect mix of few orange slices, basil, Orange juice, and Soda. The taste was just perfect to start the evening.
🔸 Virgin Appletini –Mocktail made with apple juice and apple cider served in a martini glass.
🔸 Guava Togarashi - Treat yourself to a refreshing blend of Guava juice and spices. The taste was very refreshing.
Coming to the food, we ordered
🔸 Chawanmunshi Seafood – This is a Japanese specialty (Izakaya which means small plates). It was suggested by the manager. Super tasty Egg custard with savory items as topping like Brown Cap Boletus, Prawns, Spring onion greens and Caviar. It was Rich, creamy and packed with flavors. A Must try!
🔸 Gyoza Chicken & Mizuna – Four pieces of very flavorful pan-seared Japanese chicken dumpling served with yuzu citrus chili oil and smoked ponzu sauce. It was simply delicious.
🔸 Yakitori Prawns – Six big Tiger Prawns served on a skewer which was grilled over charcoal. The prawns were soft and fresh with the right taste. Loved the spicy margination which gave a delicious flavor.
🔸 Yakitori Ramen – I can go ga-ga over this one. The chicken broth was simply wow (it had that smoky taste to it). I didn’t leave a single drop in my bowl. A super tasty combination of chicken broth, Boiled Egg, Ramen Noodles and Chicken Yakitori on the top of the bowl. A must-try main. Highly recommended.
🔸 Donburi Mushroom & Tofu – This had a very different taste. A nice and very beautifully presented Japanese rice bowl with Momiji Oroshi (Spicy Grated Daikon Radish), Edamame (soybeans in the pod) and some crispy chips and green leeks.
For Dessert, we ordered
🔸 Matcha Aduki Apple – A gluten-free dessert, incredibly delicious. It is a must-try! The presentation and the taste of this dessert were just perfect. Matcha Panna Cotta serve with apple compote, the Arukri Terrine and the apple fennel Sorbet took this dessert to the next level. A very different and very Japanese style dessert to try.
🔸 Japanese Cheesecake – This was simply awesome, looks simply but the cake simply melts in your mouth. One of the best Japanese cheesecake. You cannot miss this dessert if you are at Mizu. Highly recommended. Try it for yourself and thank me later.
It’s not only about the meal, but It’s the overall experience you have at a restaurant which you remember. My visit was worth remembering. From the time we entered until the time we were done; we had a great time. And the best part is that I had a great company 😊 It's certainly a must-visit place. Highly recommended for those who love authentic Japanese Food.
I really loved the modern vibe and the innovative mocktails. The mushrooms cooked on coal and the Japanese cheesecake were super awesome. Vibe is urban and lively.

Mizu means Water.
Mizu is a Luxury Japanese restaurant which has come up at Ataria Mall, Worli.
Mizu is an Izakaya Japanese bar concept. Offers some great authentic Yakitori and small dishes. I have started eating Japanese food few years ago and my love for it is only increasing.
Yakitori means, Japanese dish of chicken pieces grilled on a skewer and Ikazaya is a type of Japanese bar in which a variety of small dishes and snacks are served to accompany the alcoholic drinks. Mizu’s all the appetizers we had were so amazing and of course I had to try the Yakitori, I suggest you must try it!! It was Yum.
Mizu is a very classy place to enjoy your meal around lovely ambience with perfect lighting , spacious seating and some nice Jazz music playing at the background.
The décor very well matches the Japanese restaurant. We do not have many Japanese restaurants in the city and Mizu is one of the best for Yakitori, Izakaya and lovely Cocktails. They do not serve Sushi yet, if you are particularly looking out for Sushi.
The owner spoke to us and he was so kind enough to check with me just in case I am feeling cold, they can provide the shawl.
The staff is really nice, Trevor gave us some good recommendations and also explained the ingredients used in their dishes in detail, that make your dining experience extra special.

Mizu a great place to have Japanese food with so beautiful vibes serving simple Japanese cuisine with sorted menu.
tried some dishes like stuffed chillis Ramen with slurpy soup tokyo mousse which was so good served with chips.
Also for desserts tried hazelnut icecream and japanese chessecake.
Mizu basically water in Japanese term which represents flowing and formless thing in the world.Japanese food is all about of sip and slurp Mizu introduced by Vedant Malik & Lakhan jethani is definitely a must visit place to try your senses for Japanese cuisine.
Located in Atria Mall, this place is easily found on ground floor, talking about ambience its classy with sorted bar, comfortable seating area for groups and a perfect table for two as well.Interior represents japanese vibes with those small artifacts in wall founded by chef when he visited tokyo.
Menu is simple and sorted one thing is shocking that u wont find sushi here yes Japanese most common dish sushi is not in the menu but Yes Menu has yakitori, donburi baos and Ramennn !!.
Tried few dishes,
1) Yakitori :
Yakitori in Japanese term means serving food grilled on charcoal, we opted for bhavnagari chillis which was stuffed with chesse tossed in roasted garlic and spring onions it was so delectable and delicious.
2)Izakaya :
Izakaya which means small plates, Tokyo Mousse which was thick luscious cream more of tangy flavoured topped with edamame onions served with aubergine chips and some pita chips one of the best dish ever tried highly recommended.
3) Gyozas : Japanese dumpling served with two types of sauce ponzu & yuzu.
Edamame and truffle gyoza which was so good stuffed with mashed edamame in truffle oil served with yuzu made almond kashmiri chilli oil and citrus and ponzu sauce.
For Mains,
Donburi which means Delectable rice bowl served with selective veggies.
Tried katsu don which was rice bowl with all the veggies tofu rich mushrooms and that smoky Japanese gravy which tasted so good tofu was so soft and amazing in taste definitely a good option to go if u r vegetarian.
Ended our meal with so beautiful dezato,
Desserts with japanese yogashi style desserts .
1) Hazelnut Cacao :
If u love dark chocolate based dessert this is right choice.70% of dark chocolate with hazelnut mousse milk chocolate salted caramel it was so so good still have that flavours loved it.
2) Japanese Cotton Chessecake:
Souffle chessecake served with honey gelato honey comb and honey miso toffee most favourite dessert great combination of simple chessecake with honey gelato.
Overall Mizu is fabulous place to experience Japanese cuisine with that perfect vibes.Special thanks to Mr.Vijay for good service.Cheers Team !!!
Really worth every penny if you want a great ambience fantastic Japanese food and super service and cocktails overall a great experience
Excellent ambience wonderful staff and finally a fantastic place to satisfy one's craving for Japanese food. Absolutely authentic Japanese dishes by well renowned chef who's spent 2 years in Japan. A must visit for Japanese food lovers.
Lovely ambience and staff. Incredible food! I loved everything that I tried: veg/non veg and desserts.. I keep going at least once a week...
I am not a big fan of Japanese food, but since the majority in our group wanted to go to Mizu we went for dinner on Sunday night. Instead of the menu we went by the suggestions of our waiter Trevor, which turned out to be a good decision. The virgin Pomogranate Yuzu was very nice, In the starters the Yaki Porto Mushrooms were superb (the best dish i had there) and the Edamame Gyoza with truffle oil was also very good. The smoked pumpkin Bao was just ok, but others liked it. The Mushroom and Tofu Donburi main course was excellent! To finish off, the Hazelnut Cacao and the Strawberry Shisho sorbet completed an excellent meal overall. The non vegetarians in our group liked what they ate (except the scallops which they felt were not fresh), but they liked the veg dishes even more.If you are veg, the prices wont pinch much (almost comparable to other hi-end asian restaurants in the area), but the non veg dished were very expensive, and apparently very authentic as well. Will go there again in a few week.
By the way, the mall was so crowded on a Sunday, the valet took almost 30 mins to get the car. kinda dimmed the mood after a pleasant evening.
Had dinner here last night. An overall wonderful experience. Delicious Japanese food. From the yakitoris we had the oyster, supreme and pork belly. All of which were fantastic. The shiitake and peas and pork gyozas along with the chicken karaoke bao were outstanding too. From the mains we ordered the Teriyaki udon, gyudon donburi & salmon and edamame donburi. All were absolutely delicious. To finish off we had the most delectable desserts including the hazelnut cacao and the strawberry sea salt ice cream. The service and ambience were top notch too. Thank you Mizu for lovely evening.
Phenomenal food! The zucchini tempura Bao is awesome!! Veg ramen, delicious. Loved the gyozas. The chef has done a fabulous job curating the menu. I believe he studied Japanese food in Japan and his choice of flavors prove it! A must try! Also- the desserts were just amazing! Must try the Japanese cheesecake! Definitely one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Bombay!
Had lunch at Mizu at the Atria Mall. Lovely ambience as you walk in and very friendly staff. For starters ordered the Shimeji Mushroom Yakitori which was bacon wrapped mushroom. This was followed by their chicken gyoza. Both starters were well cooked and had a lovely taste. Main course was their two most recommended dishes. The beef gyudon. This was a bowl of rice with a beef curry. Very tender and super taste. Finally fished the meal with their best dish. The Sapporo pork ramen. Overall a very good quality meal. Overpriced a bit but quality counts.
Another Japanese restaurant but this one specializes in Yakitori..They have other stuff such as Izakaya,Gyoza and Main Course items as well.Place is huge but quiet during lunch(I like that!).Started off with Chicken Supreme with Wasabi Kewpie, then Classic Tsukune which is chicken on a skewer served with a side of poached egg and soya for dipping. For the mains, went in for the Gyu-Don..a huge bowl with veggies, buff and a poached egg to top it off!The Japanese Cotton Cake was airy and light and came with some ice-cream.
Service is friendly but the food takes a while to come out,but is worth the wait. Will visit again.
Always hunting for a good bowl of Ramen and Mizu did not disappoint! Had the Yakitori Ramen which was a delicious bowl of comfort! Also must have are the bao (esp the soft shell crab tempura), selection of Yakitori and the Katsu Donburi! ending the meal with the hazelnut cacao was yum!
While the food was good. Portions were abit too small and service a bit slow. The ramen and the chicken donburi were exceptional and worth the wait.
We had a chocolate dessert (hazelnut cocoa) and the Japanese cotton candy both of which were good!

At the start I'm putting it out there that yes this place is expensive but it's worth it!
We had the b**f gyudon & Sapporo ramen and both were delicious. The Sapporo ramen's broth itself was so packed with flavour that we'd pay double the amount for it. For dessert we had the hazelnut cacao which was also very good.
Overall worth visiting this place for some good Japanese food.
The first time I passed this new Japanese restaurant at Atria Mall it was a Monday, and they were closed. However, I made a mental note to check out the menu on Tomato and perhaps return. I’m so glad I did.
The menu is not very extensive, but I think there is something for everyone to love. My wife and I had a quiet lunch there yesterday, while our son was freaking out at a birthday party at Let’s Play. The restaurant was pretty empty when we walked in at around 12:30, and not much fuller when we exited at around 1:40. The ambience is nice, but a bit too dark in terms of the decor colour palette, and not well lit either, which I hate in a restaurant.
Since we were just the 2 of us, we couldn’t try out everything we wanted to, but whatever we did try, was ranging from very good to excellent. The prices were very high though, and for the 2 of us, with no alcohol, the bill came to ₹4,562/-.
Chicken Leg Yakitori with Yuzu Kosho Sauce (₹325++): The chicken meat was tender and very flavourful. However, there were only 2 skewers in the portion.
Cold Noodle Salad with Sesame Miso Dressing (₹325++): Utterly delicious, but once more, very overpriced for the portion size, and the fact that it was just a small bowl full of noodles with a few edamame, some shreds of cabbage & carrot, and a bit of dressing. No expensive ingredients.
Seafood Chawanmushi (₹650++): Excellent bowl of egg custard. The custard was delicate, and the perfect consistency. The seafood was super fresh, and the addition of the Shimeji mushrooms and cod roe made it a delight to eat.
Prawn and Bamboo Shoot Gyoza (₹600++): Superb Gyoza, crispy bottoms and really stuffed with juicy filling. Loved the addition of the tempura batter crumbs on top to give it a nice crunch.
Sapporo Ramen (₹1,300++): Nice bowl of ramen. The bone broth was rich and creamy. The chashu was tender, although a bit too thinly sliced. The boiled egg was done just right, with a golden yellow liquid centre. Portion was a bit too small though. Needed more noodles and more broth.
Donburi Gyudon (₹750++): This was the star dish of the meal. Couldn’t find any fault with it. The buff was tender and super-flavourful. The sauce had seeped into the rice below and given it a fantastic flavour. The pickled ginger gave it a nice fresh mouth-feel after all the richness of the buff. I especially liked the pickled daikon slices used as a garnish. Unlike everything else we ordered, it was a perfect portion size too.
Overall it was an excellent if overpriced lunch, but one that I would probably repeat. Pity they are not yet tied up with Scootsy. I could eat that Donburi bowl once a week.
We visited Mizu on a Saturday night, we had a reservation and were seated promptly. The restaurant wasn’t completely packed but there were a good number of people.
Service: The service was definitely not the best we’ve had, our server had to be reminded by other members of the team to give us the menu, to take our order, etc.
Pricing: I’ve had ramen at a lot of places in Mumbai as well as abroad. This place is definitely overpriced. A bow of the Sapporo ramen was Rs.1300 which is $19 and that is more than a price of a bowl of bigger ramen at a top restaurant in New York. The fresh lime Soda was priced at Rs.200, for it’s taste and quantity this price is not reasonable.
Food: We initially ordered 2 veg ramen and a Sapporo ramen, the chef insisted that we try something else rather than have 2 of the same dish. We then had a veg ramen, the Sapporo ramen and a veg Katsu.
Veg Katsu: We’ve had way better curry than this Mumbai and it was underwhelming. The ratio of rice to curry was off, there was too little rice for the amount of curry. It came with tempura vegetables but there were hardly any vegetables in the curry itself. I wouldn’t recommend this dish.
Veg Ramen: The broth and protein size were good. I only wish there were bigger pieces of tofu instead of small cubes.
Sapporo Ramen: I really enjoyed the broth and the taste of this dish. This is the closest thing I’ve had to authentic ramen in Mumbai. If not for the price I’d be a regular here just to have this ramen. The pork belly and eggs were cooked perfectly and the noodles were at the right consistency.
I enjoyed my time at Mizu, and I look forward to being back here.
Hands down one of the best new restaurants in Mumbai. Authentic Japanese food cooked to perfection with fantastic flavours. Great to see such a wide ranging menu which concentrates on dishes other than sushi and sashimi. The staff are wonderful and the owners make every time we visit very special!
Three cheers for Mizu ! All those involved take a bow. You have created an excellent dining experience. Amazing flavours true to their Japanese origins. Can’t wait to go back 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Mizu, Another Japanese restaurant added to the list but there’s something that makes this Japanese outlet stand out. The ambience is fabulously done up. The Japanese ceiling art is something you just cannot get over. With ingredients sourced directly from Japan, the venue dishes out authentic Japanese dishes.
Some of the dishes you must try:
-Stuffed Chillies: Its definitely one of the best stuffed chillies ever. Cheesy-Flavourful.
-Smoked Pumpkin & Tempura Aubergine Bao: This dish changes my perspective towards aubergine. The spark of Wasabi adds to the flavour.
-Braised Shitake & Buttered Peas Gyozas
-Edamame & Truffle Gyozas
-Tokyo Mousse
-Mushroom, Tofu & Kabocha Hotpot (Nabemono)
-Teriyaki Udon Noodles
For your sweet tooth, Try the Japanese Cotton Cheesecake!
We’re going to be visiting Mizu pretty often, Thanks to our hospitable server- Karan for making our meal so comfortable.
Mizu is an authentic Japanese restaurant located in South Mumbai. There are very few places which serves authentic Japanese food and Mizu is one of them. We loved the service here. Quick and good. Place is spacious, seating is very comfortable. Ambience is more towards Japanese look. They have bar too. I really enjoyed my visit here. There is not much variety in veg food.

Mizu, probably the first Izakaya in mumbai which equates to tapas bar or irish pub type setup in other countries is an informal japanese pub setup . Usually this are casual places for after work dining but the one at atria mall appeals to the crowd with a soothing decor setup and fine dine experience. The place is yet to get bar license : hence at the moment the place serves some serene variations to the japanese styled mocktails which is sure to blow your mind.
The manager , Mr manoj , was their to assist us in knowing how they source their ingredients ( more like their model of working and quality control) . A place which is fine dine is expected to maintain highest quality and hygiene and some amazing curation in food, all of which was evident at this place.
Mr trevor / Mr clyde were their to assist us with choosing the right preparations and complementing it with some concoctions. What's impressive about the place is that even though their would be mix of ingredients ,the flavours of sauce or items retains well and highlights the asian flavours well.
Guava Togarashi :- Tōgarashi is Japanese for genus Capsicum, or specifically the species Capsicum annuum, and commonly translated as chili pepper. When the term is used in English, it refers to any number of chili peppers or chili pepper-related products from Japan, The spice is all together different to the spice mix from india and it mixes up well with the guava portion served. A more sophisticated way of preparing Guava mary with the japanese touch to it.
Yaki porto zuchhini cheese :- Yakitori means food prepared by grilling it over charcoal and served in a skewer. We went for the portobello mushrooms with was chargrilled and had a zuchhini coating as the outer layer dipped in cheese sauce (Wrapped). Mouthwatering. Recommended
Yaki bhavnagari & cheese :- Expectation rises when you have such genius recipe curated out of portobello but then bhavnagari was surely not on par with its peers. This is more of a fusion dish but have had a better version to it. Not disappointed yet not surprised. VFM 4/5.
Bao smoked Pumpkin Tempura :- Bao's till date haven't disappointed me and this one wasn't any different. This japanese flavoured bao had yukari, ( Rice seasoning which is a tangy blend based on shisho leaves) , pickled beet and aubergine deep fried and stuffed along with the rest. The flavours blend with each other and a sour, sweet taste emerge in isolation to each other that is sure to tickle your palate. Recommended .
Veg curry udon :- One from the ramen section which is very different to what i had few months ago from the ramen section. This one had the traditional dashi except for the meat and tuna (funny i know since they are the pivotal ones) . Dashi is a class of soup and cooking stock used in Japanese cuisine. Dashi forms the base for miso soup, clear broth, noodle broth, and many kinds. So as ramen has good amount of broth , this forms as the pivotal ingredient for the same. The experience was enhanced as compared to the last time i had something like this. Just amazing.
Autumn Lantern :- A dessert which is combination of hot and cold with layers of flavours starting from the bottom which is baked apple. above which is smoked jelly, olive oil flavoured cake and parfait on top and the top two layers being the cold ones. Something surely not common to the indian way of preparing desserts. Worth trying it. Recommended.
Damages should be around 3000 for 2 without drinks.
Decor/Ambiance 5/5
Service 5/5
Food 4.5/5

Mizu is Basically a Japanese Cuisine restaurant located in Atria Mall, worli. I don't have much idea about Japanese food. The chef explained all the food items very nicely.
Really liked this place.
Went for lunch, decent crowd was there. They are waiting for liquor license. About food few dishes were ok rest of them good. Asian food crafted for Indian taste buds. The waiters had very good knowledge about the menu.
Food - 9/10
Service - 10/10
Ambiance - 10/10
VFM - 8/10
What stands out - The authentic Japanese cuisine
Came here with a friend on a weeknight for dinner. The place is pretty large and has a lot of varied seating options. Very well made interiors. They have a pretty extensive menu and decent bit of vegetarian options.
The service was excellent. Our server was pretty knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting awesome dishes that we called for. The sushi was especially amazing. Stuffed mushrooms were pretty good too.
We called for the following dishes.
1. Stuffed mushrooms - 9/10
2. Braised schitake and buttered peas - 8/10
3. Edmame and truffle sushi - 10/10
4. Teriyaki Ramen - 9/10
5. Smoked Pumpkin Bao - 7/10
6. Nashi Tart (dessert) - 9/10
All in all a perfect classy place for a wonderful celebration.
In Mumbai, if Yuautcha = Chinese food, Mizu = authentic Japanese food. Period.
I eat there at least twice a week. Food is light & healthy yet tasty & still does not punch a hole in your wallet.
Highly recommend this place. Wish Lakhan Jethani, Vedant Malik, Manoj & team all the very best.
Look forward to many more delicious meals @ this lovely izakaya. Cheers.
Well-wisher of Mizu,
Rohan Karnani
Yesterday I had chance to visit this place, I was bit skeptical about hype of this place. But dear oh dear! Mizu exhaulted my fine dining experience to different level. Already big fan of Pan Asia and especially Japanese cuisine, this place doesn't disappoint at all. Definitely brings epicure out of you.
What we ordered :
MOCKTAILS :
Virgin pomegranate yuzu- Must try. This frothy cocktail has unique taste. Contains egg whites so vegetarians beware.
Guava Togarashi - Spicy as it should be.
Orange and Basil Mohito- Not too sweet, complimented well with our mains.
Virgin watermelon cosmos - Pretty basic.
APPETIZERS :
Yakitori pork belly - ABSOLUTE WINNER OF THE NIGHT, by a country mile. This was one of the finest cuts of meat I have ever had. Glazed in apple sause and pan seared. If you walk away without having this, you rather be in prison.
Yakitori stuffed Mushrooms - Mushrooms filled with cheese and wrapped in zucchini. Absolute super dish. Must try for vegans.
Yakitori stuffed chillies - On similar grounds with mushrooms but I would suggest to with stuffed Mushrooms, unless you don't like mushrooms you can opt for chillies.
Bao Smoked Pumpkin Tempura- Another classic of the night. Fluffy baos stuffed with in house sause, pumpkin and garnished with beetroot cubes.
MAINS:
Curry Udine: Hand rolled noodles, thicker than usual. Light and not so spicy curry with diced carrots and zucchini topped with deep fried spinach leaves.
DESSERTS:
Autumn Latern: Presentation of this dessert is phenomenal so is the taste. Never had anything like this before. Complex taste as it made by layering. Difficult to explain but tastes fantastic.
Japanese cotton cheese cake: Another superb presentation. Not as great as Autumn Latern.
Decor and staff gets A+.
Mizu, the latest addition to the growing list of Japanese restaurants is a modern Izakaya style restaurant. Izakaya is a type of an informal Japanese Pub.
The restaurant has a classy ambiance and the interiors are meticulously done. Mizu has a variety of attractive seating options too. The ceiling art is fascinating and is something you won't miss.
You can expect authentic Japanese flavours as many of their ingredients are sourced directly from Japan. Mizu breaks the stereotype and has focused on Japanese dishes other thank sushi
Our host Karan was at his best. He knew the menu thoroughly and helped us make the right choices.
Coming to the food we had :
Stuffed Chillies - Just the perfect spice levels! Bhavnagri chilli stuffed with Cheese

Dezato -

Japanese Cotton Cheese Cake
Mocktails -
Pomegranate Yuzu
Guava Togarashi
For Mizu is a 10/10! Chef Lakhan Jethani has done a fabulous job with Mizu.
The place is big with nice interiors and good ambience. The food menu is different . I say this coz I am a big sushi fan and went to this place thinking of eating Japanese food. Vegetarian options are quite a few. The gyozas, yakitoris are definitely a must try. Do not miss out on their Ramen !!
Situated on the ground floor of Atria Mall, Mizu serves up some delicious and lipsmacking japanese food. Being new to the Japanese cuisine which needs some time for the taste to develop, Mizu is an excellent option for those looking out to experience a little bit of these modern styled combinations.
Most traditional Japanese restaurants are relatively small but the place is spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The dining room has a small bar adjoining and we were seated with a great view of the bustling kitchen serving up dishes. Everything that comes out of the kitchen has a modern twist added to the authentic cooking style and lots of flavour.
The food and drinks served were both delightful with rare, delicate ingredients to relish your taste buds. In terms of drinks, while they haven't started serving liquor yet, mocktails such as Pomegranate Yuzu and Guava Togarashi stand out and are a must order. There are plenty of starters on offer with the Baos, Gyozas and grilled skewers all leaving their mark incredibly well. Edamame and Truffle Gyoza and the Pork Belly were our picks and left us drolling for more. It is the hot dishes that stand out though with interesting tangs and beautiful to the point presentation. The Lobster and Miso Donburi was one of the most satisfying meals that we've had considering the blend of smoothness and the crisp on top. The desserts are equally heavenly and do the trick in terms of sweet tooth satisfaction. The Hazelnut Cacao is the best option and is surely not be missed provided you love chocolate.
The service was welcoming, quick and everpresnt with delighful recommendations. Hats off to the staff and the head chef for making it a worthwile dining experience for us. The price point is on the higher side and the portion sizes are decent but there's no argument in terms of taste and flavour combinations that the place wins hands down. Mizu is a Japanese masterclass and is highly recommended !

Location/size: This vibrant environment is located at the ground floor of Atria mall in Worli....Size of the outlet is huge and is an eye opener for ambience seekers.... Lots of foreign visitors at this outlet as they serve authentic japanese cuisine...
Staff/services: Met with Mr. Vijay who is the manager here...A very humble personality with charming attitude... Thanks to him and other supporting staff including the chef for this memorable hospitality....It was nice having conversation with him....
Food/desserts/drinks: I had heard about them since the time it was established in February 2019....I wanted to try their authentic Japanese cuisine and just to find how different it is from our food items...Below is the list of items ordered:
MOCKTAIL
1. Virgin pomogranate yuzu - Yuzu is a sour Japanese citrus fruit used in preparing the juice...A very soft and smooth feel of taste with froth on the top....Not so sweet and is one of my favorites now....
STARTERS
2. Yaki thigh and leeks - Chicken thigh sticks with Yaki (kind of japanese onion) was quite perfect in taste....The meat was cooked without any margin of errors....
3. Gyoza prawns and bamboo - A beautiful looking dumpling which was filled with mashed vegetables and cooked meat...The dumplings were pan fried to make the outer surface harder....
GREEN TEA
4 Hojicha tea - This is completely tasteless....If you are looking something for your health, then the taste factor shouldn't bother you....They offer you a whole tea pot which has 3-4 cups serving....
MAIN COURSE
5. Bao chicken karrage - A chinese steamed bread roll with a filling of grilled crispy chicken really made my day.....The spices added to the bread was yummy....
6. Curry udon tempura prawns - This is one of the most popular dishes at Japan streets.. It's worth ordering it as the taste of prawns was fantastic and went really well with the hard formed and broader noodles....
DESSERTS
7. Japanese cheese cake - The smoothest cakes I have ever tried....they offer the cheese cake with separate ingredients like cake, honey, chocolate tar and ice cream....
8. Mango yuzu - One of the best mango icecreams....It is a real frozen mango which I just tried.....with couple of basil leaves on the top to give this dessert full justice as it deserves...
Happy eating....

Awesome place. Good food. Come wit your friends and spend here. Nice place for hangouts foods are next level. I won't think about visiting this place on and on.
Mizu is a fabulous Japanese restaurant that has opened in Atria.
The place serves some authentic Japanese food that is extremely delicious.
I really liked the service and ambiance of the place. Even the price is not so expensive.
Definitely recommend this place
Asian Cuisine especially Japanese is incredibly popular in Mumbai with a number of famous dishes making their way into people's food checklist. Among the amazing selection of incredible restaurants is Mizu, which stands out not only in terms of grandeur and food but also the tradition and contemporary influence in their creative flavours. No wonder it's winning awards and is on everyone's must visit wishbook, it is honestly a top rated Japanese restaurant giving you a truly unique gastronomical experience.
👌
Located on the ground floor of the prime Atria Mall, the restaurant can easily be seen as soon as you enter the premises. We visited on a weekend and the place was almost packed ascertaining its popularity. The place looks very traditional with more than a handful tables and a spacious well arranged and lit dining space. Mizu gives you all the authentic feels in the right way with the ceiling design, lighting, side bar and a clearly viewable open kitchen. The bar is not full functional yet as they haven't started serving liquor but nonetheless adds to the ambiance. The dining room is beautifully decorated and one can find all types of seating to choose from including high chairs, cozy tables, long group tables and tucked in sofa seats. The name Mizu stands for Water and the restobar surely keeps the amazing traditional flavours of Japan flowing in the food and drinks they offer. We were handed out the drinks and food menu which are craftfully curated and need careful deliberation.
We started out with the liquids. As they currently don't serve alcohol, the drinks menu consists of mocktails, refreshers, coolers and teas, all of which are delightfully named and explained. We went with :
Virgin Pomegranate Yuzu : Mouth watering to the core, the drink had heavy sweet pomegranate hints as the name suggests and was topped with frothy egg white foam and an edible flower. Top marks to the presentation and a great drink !
Sencha Green Tea : Specially imported green tea from Japan brewed in house to form a light and healthy drink fit enough to start your meal the traditional way.
Orange and Basil Mojito : Refreshing as it sounds, the cooler was full of zesty orange and basil punches helping us to settle our food for more tummy space.
Guava Togarashi : A guava punch packed with spicy capsicum bits which blended well with each other leaving you with an overwhelming feel in every sip. Must try !
🍹
The food menu has a long list of wonderfully created combinations and give you a premium dining feel as you go through them with ingredients which are original, exclusive and heavenly. The starters feature yakitori which are skewered and grilled dishes, Izakaya plates which are small portioned casual nibbles, Baos which are soft buns stuffed with rich flavours and Gyozas which are tokyo styled pan seared dumplings. They also serve you two sauces on the table namely Naga Chilli and Smoked Ponzu which are drastically different in terms of taste but compliment the dishes superbly well. After some great suggestions from our server we ordered :
Pork Belly : Tender skewers of thin cut and perfectly smoked pork full of soy sauce giving your palette a hint of true Japan topped with creamy apple sauce and some crisps for the texture. Amazing blend !
Chicken Karaage Bao : The baos at the place are much talked about and truly to die for. Although the portion consists of two baos, the ingredients are rare and have a perfect amount of toppings and sauces. This one had a Kasundi Mayo, crunchy chicken, togarashi and rich bao sauce. Eat them along with the naga chilli sauce for the added foodgasms.
Edamame and Truffle Gyozas : Although we are non vegetarians and anything with meat is our go to dish, we highly coveted these gyozas mainly due to what it offered. Simply salted edamame and flavourful truffle forming a soft mixture along with Yuzu Chilli oil inside a crisp pan seared gyoza merging the crispiness and the softness beautifully. The dish lasts with you even after you gulp it down with its lingering aftertaste making you fall in love with it. Simply amazing !
Tsukune : Juicy and light chicken skewers topped with saffron miso sauce and some peppers. Safe and light choice !
🍢
Speaking of the mains menu, the menu is full of hot dishes which keep coming in from the well oiled kitchen and delicious concoctions infusing a lot of flavours but not compromising one bit on the traditional Japanese quality. The mains include Ramen which are smooth noodles with broth topped with choice of ingredients, Donburi which are basically rice bowl meals with special sauces and Nabemono which are a type of on the table pot meals. We were spoiled for choice and once again helped out by excellent recommendations from our server. We settled on :
Tempura Prawns Curry Udon : One of the interesting combination of mild and spicy curry full of udon which are handcrafted thick wheat noodles topped with a crunchy prawn tempura. The portion size for this dish is also good enough while the flavours are incredibly balanced.
Donburi Lobster and Miso : This was a classic Japanese Donburi which is essentially a rice bowl full of garlic chives and arima sansho sauce which was peppery giving out tasty bites. Not to forget the dish was topped with one of the best lobsters we've had being tender and crispy at the same time accompanied by lotus root chips. Go for it !
🍜🍤
For the sweet stuff, the restaurant has a wide array of options. We were told to bet our money on desserts being one of the best in the city and they certainly disappoint in terms of taste and satisfaction. They serve Japanese Yogashi styled desserts and also flavoured ice creams which complete your appetizing meal. We asked our server to get the two best desserts the place has to offer and we were pleasantly surprised with what we got. We tried :
Autumn Lantern : Blowing hot and cold. The concept surely is but the dessert lives up to the hype. Baked apple, soft mint cake, sake jelly topped with cold caramel parfait and served with a fancy lit candle infused in tasty edible wax. Hows that for a combination !!
Hazelnut Cacao : Firstly the presentation of this dish just blows you away. Looking so textured, rich and fancy, the dessert is equally scrumptious and lifts your spirits. Dark chocolate mousse on top of hazelnut gateau topped with milk chocolate chantilly. The side serves of a creamy chocolate ice cream scoop and a swirl of salted caramel sauce complete the dish. Made out of seventy percent single sourced chocolate and a skimmed milk base, the dessert is gluten free and is a treat for sinful chocolate indulgence. Literally melt in the mouth stuff !
🙌
The presentation was elegant throughout and you can see that the place really strives for excellence and patron fulfillment. The service throughout was impeccable and was one of the best hospitality we've had at a restaurant. Our captain Trevor was attentive, courteous, well drilled on the menu and chipped in with a lot of detailed explanations and other details about the dish. We were wonderfully taken care of with amazing recommendations which just had us smiling the whole time while we filled up our tummy with great food. The head chef Lakhan was also at our service at all times nattily helping us with his inventive creations and making us comfortable with agreeable small talk and taking constant feedback on the food. We also had the pastry chef Nikhil come and talk to us about his dessert curations and cooking style. All these minute but important things added to the overall experience and just made it a memorable fine dining time for us. Be warned the price tags are quite high and the portion sizes are not very filling in terms of quantity but the restaurant more than makes up for it with the rich quality and stand out hospitality.
👏
To sum it up, Mizu is an upscale Japanese eatery which will impress any Japanese food connoisseur. It is fit for a special occasion or as a casual treasure hunt for marvelously crafted and flavorful traditional Japanese food. One of the best in the city and will definitely make you fall in love with this cuisine. Will be visiting again soon ! 💯
MIZU - Authentic Japanese Cuisine minus the Sushi ( Yes you read it right ) Basically a Izakaya Kitchen ( Small plates ) Located at Atria Mall , Packed on Friday evening even without Alcohol ( They still not started ) Interiors Chic. One can call it a fine dine. Heard People say it's a tad costly. However many f their Ingredients are sourced from Japan. Few options for Vegetarians, however new menu launching on Monday which has some additional dishes. A couple of Mocktail (i tried the one with Guava with 7 spices) Coming to the food:
Yellowtail Hamachi Sashimi (max 1 cm) not as thin as a Carpaccio. Ponzu Sauce (smoked) makes a difference. Gives you that punch. Gives you that citrus tart tangy flavour very close to vinaigrette. Basically this is made of (citrus juice/Susachi/Yazu/kabosu) this was topped with wild rice crisp and edible flower as a garnish. Loved it.
Gyoza - Basically Pan seared Japanese dumplings which they serve with Yuzu citrus chilli oil and Ponzu sauce. We asked for the Edamame and Truffle. Lovely texture. Balance was perfect. Nice aroma. Go for this.
PRAWNS KAROREE - guess from the new menu. Its deep fried like croquettes. Stuffed diced prawns with annori and béchamel (blends well) this is white sauce from white roux and milk. So these croquettes are gooey from the inside. Served with arugula/cherry tomatoes and crispy chips. This comes under the section of Izakaya.
BAOS - was lucky to try their NAN PIZZA (new menu) Homemade Bao with a stuffing of mozzarella. Also Tried their Smoked Pumpkin & Tempura Aubergine. This was amazing. Flat flitters of Aubergine which gave the crunchiness. This had a bit of wasabi hit some Yukari (popular rice seasoning from Japan - herby/tangy flavour) Also had some equally diced pickled beetroot. Smoked Pumpkin had a lovely texture. Overall the balance was good.
Chicken Thigh - some dishes look simple yet they taste good. This was soft juicy. Presented on a skewer. Comes under the Yakitori section (Japanese term for grilled over charcoal served on a skewer) this was grilled to perfection. Gets a bit of Smokey touch to it. Marinated with Tare (dipping sauce) a tad sweet and gives that glaze. This dish also had Leek which was char grilled well with a bit of green garlic. Overall lovely. Nice glaze.
Stuffed Chillies (here they use Bhavnagari Chillies) they also have similar chilli in Japan. Grilled. Texture good. Simple stuffing of cheese and a bit of spices. Did not lose the colour. Just perfect.
TSUKUNE - the dish of the day. Had Punch/bold flavours/aroma. This is again a Yakitori Chicken minced like a kebab (or meat ball) Simple terms Chicken meatballs on skewers. Had a lovely glaze from outside and rusty texture from inside. Topped with a mix of Saffron and Miso sauce (gave the aroma) Miso had a burst of flavours. Loved this.
Could not resist - Cold Noodle salad (Veg) Lovely subtle sesame dressing. Ramen noodles used are hand pulled. Edamame/red cabbage/carrots.
Mains - difficult to choose from Ramen/Donburi/Nabemono. Went for Donburi (New Menu) this is rice bowls with Japanese flavours. It was Katsu Curry (veg) one has an option to go for chicken. Wow very close to the Japanese. This has the punch/bold flavours. It's all about the sauce. Combination of soy/vinegar/ginger/garlic/spices. Semi thick in texture. Had a curry pata hit. This went well with the Sticky rice along with Gari and crispy spinach. Meal by itself. Go for this dish.
Desserts: Heaven. Autumn Lantern (lovely presentation) warm and cold type. A mix of baked apple sake jelly and caramel parfait. This is in layers.
Hazelnut cacao - their signature dessert which is gluten free. Mousse (sao thome) with ice cream. Hazelnut gateau milk chocolate & salted caramel.
Sorbet (this weather we need it) Strawberry/Mango/Matcha. Texture good. Loved it
Overall - FANTASTIC.

* REVIEW IS BASED ON PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!
Mushroom tofu don Donburi is a simple dish consisting of a mix of savory curry poured over a bed of rice.
Mizu, Worli.
Mizu, A Japanese Fine Dining situated om the Ground Floor of Atria Mall, is a perfect place to visit if you want to try authentic Japanese cuisine. This place opened around few months back and has gained very much popularity and has also won two prestigious awards.
The quality of food served here is just amazing, it is made using freshest ingredient available. The staff is also good and Service is quick. Our table incharge Mr. Vijay was perfect host. He suggested the dishes and drinks we should go for and explained the dishes in brief to us.
Overall, it is an amazing place which leaves no stones unturned in providing you an unbelievable experience in terms of food and service.
Here is a Classic Japanese restaurant which allows you to savor the Japanese Cuisine other than Sushis .
We discovered here for the first time that Japanese Cuisine can be extravagantly delicious and much more innovative than just having different flavours of Sushis all the time .
Let's take you to our food experience out here :
Stuffed Chillies :
Chillies stuffed with variants of cheese and topped with Tõgarashi which is mix of seven japanese spices .
Local Portobello :
Portobello mushrooms stuffed with cheese and wrapped with roasted zucchini . Loved the skewer experience out here .
Braised Shitake and Buttered peas Gyoza:
Loved the mix of above two ingredients to the fullest within this one .
Veg Bao :
This one again had an impeccable mix of all it's ingredients . The pickled beets and the wasabi sauce did great with the tempura aubergine .
In mains we just tried their Veg Ramen as we were too full by then .
This one is an authentic Japanese Delicacy which is definitely a must try for all you japanese cuisine lovers out there .
Mocktails :
Orange Virgin Mojito :
A classic drink which made a perfect accompaniment with those appetizers .
Guava Tõgarashi :
Guava lovers will love this for sure with the Japanese seven spice .
Desserts :
Hazelnut Cacao :
This one has wonderful smooth dark chocolate mousse served with Icecream . Highly recommended .
Autumn Lantern :
The presentation of this one is mind blowing . The taste is even better to compliment such an innovative look to a dessert .
Overall a delightful experience and got to learn a lot about Japanese food Culture .
Thanks for reading my detailed review .

I like the chef’s passion! He went Japan to study Japanese cuisine. The Udon noodle was home made noodles. It was fantastic! Will visit again!
