I ordered from Shanghai Street for the first time last night. The food came in 45mins quite punctually.
We ordered their Shanghai Street Chicken on skewers as it was recommended by others on Zomato. The chicken was tasty and spicy with a pretty fiery marinade of ginger-garlic and red chillies. What I didn't like was that it was very oily.
We also ordered the non veg Korean Clay Pot rice. It looked uninspiring (sent as separate steamed rice and a soya based curry with chicken and black mushrooms in another container). But when put together and heated, it was pretty flavourful and unique. The chicken was tender. I personally would prefer button mushrooms to black mushrooms in it.
The food is pretty reasonable, and with the current discount running on Zomato, worked out very cost effective.
I will order again to try more dishes. Reducing the oil in the food would be a welcome move.

The rating for their restaurant seemed good enough for me to try it out once. So I ordered their value meal for dinner. It comes along with a starter which was veg dumplings, kimchi, Rice topped with a sauce of your choice with mixed veggies and a dessert which was honey noodles.
The Rice and Mixed veggies was really nice and flavoursome. Quantity too was good enough. Kimchi was okay as well.
But the dumplings were tasteless and since it was a home delivery they had turned very soft and soggy. The honey noodles tasted kinda stale and just couldn't have more after the first bite.
Good value for money only if they improve on the starter
Very few restaurants in Mumbai sever good Chinese... I would say this place is one amongst them.. The Fire Roasted Shanghai Street chicken is a must try..
Had been here for dinner with my hubby after a movie and I found this place reasonable and awesome...
The ambience is good .. You can literally see the chef cooking for you so this place is a must try guys
The place is small but we loved the food here. They r famous for this fire roasted street style chicken . Absolutely loved that one. Also tried their special pot rice. Service and ambience is good. Nice place to go in a group.
The order was delivered on time. The chicken fried rice was average however the hunan gravy was tasty. Quality of noodles could have been better.
Lower Parel s power lunch centre - the joint has everything one looks out for. neat decors, dim lights and arrangements. Go all out for the combo platter and one can never miss out on a proper chinese selection.
There is a special shanghai chicken special dish - thats the wow factor. Go for it !
Awesome food - loved it. Must try Steamed Wontons with burnt garlic and Golden garlic fried rice with Iceberg lettuce... will keep visiting..
This place is just opposite to high street pheniox gate. A small and budgetary one, with self service order. As I entered to shanghai street the dime music and decent ambience will just relax your mood, you will feel peaceful and calm. Coming to the food we tried 1 crispy tofu and 1 pan fried noodles with hot garlic, both were nice and delicious. I would just like to suggest you guys to serve the food in the guest dish and not just put the plate on the table.
A nice place for the one who love Chinese.
Had a great time in social in palladium mall..Suddenly decided to try Chinese food..Checked out Asia kitchen but Ashish recommended a place opposite to the mall..Shanghai Street. Small place but wow..Amazing food..Dimsums were mouth watering..Ordered Pan fried Noodles and a barbecue chicken..Trust me noodles were crispy with spicy sauce...Chicken was soft and the morsels melted in our mouth.. Surprisingly bill was very cheap...Great job guys keep it up..Only had a problem with parking...
A fantastic food joint specially for chinese food lovers.. though small but SUPERB FOOD .. just liked it soooo much.. the chicken pot rice and dimsums r too good. A great VFM restaurant..
Ordered chicken pot rice and chicken momos and it turned out to be amazing and VFM. Though this place looks a lil bit isolated and is mostly empty, but only do the public know that it serves amazing Chinese food. It was worth the try and will surely visit again to try out other dishes. Place is well maintained and spacious dining arrangements. Although there is no need of self service, since the place is not that huge or far away from the kitchen.
Had been here a few days ago, the craving for Chinese food during lunch and long waiting time in China Land ended up in finding this newly opened restaurant. I'd ordered Hot Pot Rice and it was steamingly well prepared, authentic oriental flavour, medium spicy, just loved it. Overall I rate it 4/5
Since our favorite Wok Hei is closed, this is the option for Chinese food. A decent restaurant with small menu options. Decent courteous staff, they serve very efficiently. Dimsums and Schezwan noodles are my favorite here.
The food is tasty. Specially the steamed vegetables rice with Mahalak Sauce (a five spice sauce). Great place to visit, and try out the Chinese
Hey guys this place is something to watch for if you are fond of Chinese food. A very compact restaurant but very well done. Bang opposite to phoenix lower parel. Their presentation is similar to a mall setup where food items are displayed on a banner and accordingly you place an order for. Their food tastes awesome. I tried manchow soup and their chicken szh fried rice is mouth watering. It won't taste like a usual Chinese food which you get bored of, but something which is more tasty with their special recipe. There are plenty of other options which you can try and I'm sure you will visit this place again if you are fond of tasty food. One thing I liked about this place is not wasting on unnecessary setup. 5-6 nos of spoon and fork required for a Chinese food and avoiding tissue paper on table which people use it for a sake of it. If you ask for it they will give it to you. I love this place and visit atleast one or twice in a week. Cheerzzzzzzz
Although this is a small place, the food is just too good with a good quantity.. Will definitely visit again and recommed others.. Even the rates are pretty decent :)
Must eat- Crispy potato
Korean chicken starter 😍
I had a non-veg meal here- It was awesome. The deal was awesome too.
The takt time was high though.
The staff was courteous and helpful.
The ambience was good but they can make better use of their space, even though its cramped they can still design the seating well.
If your in a hurry and want a quick meal then uts a good option. Atleast in Lower Parel.

Shanghai Street located bang opposite High street phoenix is a refreshing and good change for people looking for Chinese cuisine at cheap and affordable rates in this area. Exteriors is decent.
Loved the ambience and interiors. Not a very big place, just 3-4 tables. This place has self service rules and orders, bills are to be paid at counter. We tried Fire roasted shanghai street chicken, non veg combo and seafood fried rice!
1) Fire Roasted Shanghai Street Chicken! (4/5)
Loved the presentation with 5 barbequed chicken skewers placed on grill. It had mild spices but smokiness from the dish took it to another level. The dish tasted awesome and was the best we had that day.
2) Non Veg Combo Meal! (3.5/5)
Combo meal had Kimchi salad, 2 spring rolls, Hunan chicken gravy, chicken noodles and honey crisp bites. Loved the kimchi salad and crisp bites. Noodles were decent. Spring rolls were served cold and were a big turn off...!
3) Seafood Fried Rice! (3/5)
This was our least favourite dish of the day. The rice served was bland and there werent enough prawns in it. Sauces were the only saviour to this dish.
Service is good and staff are friendly. Overall there were a few hit and miss but we had a good time here! Cheers...!
Heard great food reviews of this restaurant from a friend of mine and decided to visit the place.. Small cute joint located in the hustle bustle of phoenix.. Ordered Korean pot rice, Fire roasted Chicken, Corn n water chest nut dumplings, Lemon corriander soup.. Amazing food..
Korean pot rice: Subtle flav of 5 spice n port wine..5 out of 5
Fire roasted Chicken: Barbecued in charcoal fire..Spicy n delicious..5 out of 5
Dumplings: Delicious with the 3 dips given..4.5 out of 5
Lemon corriander soup: Very different n delicious.. 4.5 out of 5..
Keep it up guys..Need to see you guys open up in the suburbs..
A small Chinese eatery in the hustle and bustle of lower parel...for a small place it's quite well furnished...
So we had
Prawns in butter garlic sauce
Chicken taipei
Schezwan rice
Loved the prawns the most..
If you are in the area you can check out this place..
It was my first visit to Shanghai Street, and I carried along with me the curiosity of going to a relatively new restaurant opened in my locality. We ordered Fish in butter garlic for starter and Hot Pot chicken noodles for main course.
The place is very clean and with decent music and ambience. Food is cooked and served quite fast. The fish was very delicious, with the edgy flavour of freshly ground pepper. Hot Pot noodle/rice is definitely one of their specialities, with good amount of chicken and vegetables in it, and it's presented beautifully. The staff is friendly, they explain you about the dishes very well as you order at the counter.
The only minus I found was the clumsy seating. However, the available space is optimally used. So that's not really a problem.
A big yes to multiple visits in the future to this lovely little place.
Nice ambience. Services are also good.. We had ordered prawns in butter garlic sauce which was not that good. Later we had ordered schezwan chicken noodles. Quantity was too much for two people.. If you are looking for a nice Chinese food then it is a must try
The crab meat soup is a signature dish I never had anywhere else. Good variety of starters. We had fire roasted Shanghai Street chicken. Smoky firy and tasty chicken sauté in their secret sauce.
You have to order at the counter and taxes charges extra.
Good place for spicy Chinese lovers.
Perfect place to have Chinese is this.. excellent food leaves me licking fingers... quick food nice service place must visit and dumplings are to die for variety in food is excellent.. love for the place❤✌
The best authentic chinese food joint at low price. We ordered crab meat soup to start with, which was great and had different feel to it. In starters, Korean BBQ chicken and fire roasted Shanghai street chicken both tasted awesome and were stomach filling starters. I recommend you guys to try these starters. In the end we ordered Shangai special (SS) pot rice which had a good quantity to it. The chicken were very much tender and juicy. If you want to try authentic chinese at low price, this is the restaurant you should hit as soon as possible.
Excellent place for chinease food.good serviceing .Amazing tasty food.prawns hargoa yummy. Hotpot prawns..so tasty ymmmu yummy .
Best place to have a stomach full meal
Another addition to the little Asian eateries sprouting around Lower Parel is Shanghai street. The decor and seating is interesting, especially the huge wallpapers showing a busy Chinese locality, which intends to give one a feeling of dining on the streets of Shanghai - China's biggest city.
The seating area can be slightly uncomfortable for huge groups but that's pretty manageable. Infact, I quite liked their ambience which was quite different (in a good way) from what is usually expected from such a small places.
I didn't get a chance to try much since I was dining solo. They suggested the Veg Crystal Dimsums which turned out to be a great meal in itself. The presentation could have been better but there sure was no negatives as far as the taste of the food was concerned. The prices are pretty reasonable too. I certainly look forward to a complete meal at Shanghai Street the next time I'm around Phoenix Mills.
Started with soup and veg sauté which was good and different in taste. We tried veg combo after that which was sufficient as a meal and overall we were satisfied . Ambiance wise it's normal and small time restaurant with decent food
Shanghai Street, the new chinese joint in Lower Parel, didn't disappoint us. We ordered Steamed Chicken Wantons with Burnt Garlic Sauce to start with. It was well prepared and tasted good. The Stir Fry Chicken with Pakchoy and Garlic Sauce was also good. It was good enough for 2 persons. The Chicken Fried Rice was also up to the mark. Prices were also reasonable. Looking forward to try other dishes..:)
Amazing food, great ambience and awesome prices. Tried Manchow Soup which is amazing and is one of the best I've tried! Taipei Chicken is lip smacking and so is the Chicken Steamed Wantons with Burnt Garlic. Would love to visit on and off! Great work Team Shanghai Street! Keep the good work going!
A small joint just outside high Street phoenix, lower Parel.
Loved the fire roasted shanghai Street chicken.

Ambiance was great. The service to the food and the drinks, is incredible! I was able to enjoy my food much more because the service was faultless, everything was wonderful! The venue is enchanting, fresh and welcoming. Would highly recommend this place if you have a penchant for Chinese dishes. First time patron and will definitely return.
Good quality food. Authentic Chinese stuff made me order always. Shanghai street is worth visiting in person and ordering online as well. Cuisine is best. Cheers
One place where they let the food do the talking! Went there for lunch with office mates, ordered the N.Veg Combo. Everything from the taste, quantity and service was on point. Nothing fancy, but served the purpose- satiated the taste buds.
Amazing place to eat with great cozy ambience . the shanghai street chicken is a must try...have been here twice.. and would be back again soon..
So we were in Lower Parel looking for some Chinese food and this tiny little restaurant just happened to be there. It's a small, cozy place located right opposite Pheonix, Lower Parel. The staff is nice and warm, the food is brilliant! We ordered the Veg Crystal Dimsums, hot and sour soup and Veg Hot Pot with rice and we were not disappointed with either! Especially the Dimsums were absolutely fabulous ❤
And after eating till we burst, the bill amount was negligible which was the best part! We left with our tummies full and our pockets still considerably heavy 😊 would definitely visit again.
Beautifully designed ..nice ambience..efficient service..a place to visit again and again.Yummy Chinese food. Location ideal for shoppers at the Phoenix mall.

On the food scene, the most popular and must order dish would be their amazing Dimsums both veg. & Non veg. Starters includes variety of options to choose from, my favourite were kung pao potato and crispy potatoes with chillies, chi. manchow soup and chi. hot pot sauce rice were an absolute delight 👌

Shanghai Street
The ‘Shanghai Street’ is a restaurant situated in Lower Parel. It is the favorite hangout place for people like minded for the ambiance and the food served.
(Atmosphere/decor)
As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent setting, a delightful decor and the luxuries of modernity. Sitting in any table you have a wonderful view of the workshop-like kitchen where you can see the chefs working.
(The menu/dishes)
The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. I had the Korean BBQ Chicken accompanied by stir fry Asian greens in white garlic sauce, while my friend tried the Singapore chili prawns. They were exquisite. The main course consisted of stir fry chicken with pakchoy and garlic sauce, which really thrilled us. It all was followed by a delicious steamed coconut dumplings with honey butter sauce for dessert.
(The ingredients/the prices)
All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food. The chefs take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients.
(The owner)
Thankfully the owner a young entrepreneur charming guy, is always around willing to exchange some kind words with all his clients.
(Recommendation)

Awesome taste, awesome food, awesome ambience, awesome people. Had some top-mark oriental food after a long time; made from fresh produce (you can feel the crunch of freshness in many veggies). Looking at the food cost, it's total Value for Money resto. Take some time and visit.
P.S: Launched recently, 19th July :)
Lovely place for oriental cuisine authentic food... Fresh ambiance, dimsum are pretty authentic with lovely dips. Tried peppery lemon soup pretty hot (spicy) and the pot rice was just amazing. Reasonably priced for the quantity given. Must go for quick food
