So It was a Busy Tuesday Evening & tummy was craving for Some Bengali Cuisine.
I m a Big Fan of Bengali cuisine, especially their Khosha Manghso(Thick Mutton Gravy blended with Bengali spices) & variety of fish preparations.
Peetuk!
Had heard a lot abt this place. The place looked quite small & cozy, whenever I passed though it. So, I never dined over here but definitely decided to order.
Tummy was not craving for non veg, so decided to order something in veg.
Packing & delivery both was perfect.
My order:-
Sukto : - 5/5 . So! Sukto, is a kind of Bengali sambar, mix of a variety of Veggies with Bori, cooked with Bengali mild spices. *** The Dish was cooked perfectly, exceeded my expectation.**** I loved it completely.
The place is also pocket friendly.
A place that serves excellent Sukto is definitely worth to give a try to their other dishes. So definitely looking fwd to Order again.
It is a bengali cusine. Their food qualities are not much good. But you can try their chicken rolls.
Ordered for a double egg Thali. The dal was superb! Just right and also the egg curry was very delicious. The Paratha could have been made of whole wheat and a bit thinner too. Enjoyed the meal a lot.
This is the first Bengali restaurant I have visited in my life which was awesome. And the dishes were so unique for me.. specially the fish dishes were yummy.. service was good. I would like to visit it again
We had ordered in from Peetuk many times for the love of Bengali biriyani or bong street food.We recently had their Dim er devil- it is crispy, well fried & crunchy on the outside. The hard boiled egg inside with mashed potato was quite filling as a starter, in one plate they serve 2 decent size pieces
We also had ordered in mutton meal of theirs , which consist of Mutton biriyani, porota , boti kabab & mutton kosha. The portion size was well enough for 2 hungry bongs waiting eagerly for their lunch. In the biriyani, apart from 2 large pieces of mutton, there was 1 aloo(potato) & 1 boiled egg.Though a part of the meal & it was not a full size biriyani, the portion was quite filling. The aloo was the highlight & the biriyani was the most authetic kolkata biriyani that one can get in Mumbai. Also the rice was not very sticky & the smell was also very subtle , just about good to tantaliase the tastebuds. The boti kabab & the mutton kosha was also tasty, not too spicy. The dim er devil came with kasundi which transformed the taste of this starter completely.
So I have been wanting to try Peetuk for a while now and we decided to go there on Poila baisakh .Peetuk had a special thali on their menu and we called in advance to check if they can reserve a table for us,sadly it's a first come first serve basis. The restaurant has limited seating ,however it doesn't fail to give you the Bengali/Kolkata feels. The servers are polite and were kind enough to let us know that we could share the thali rather than ordering for 2 ( the quantity is more than sufficient). The thali consisted of rice ,doi maach, kosha magsho, dal, luchi, fish fingers ,begun bhaja, tomato chutney ,dab chingri ,aam panna and rosogulla dipped in payesh. The flavors are on point and not too heavy on the palette. The mutton and prawn curry were exceptionally good.I would rate the overall place as follows :
Ambience :3/5
Food : 3.5/5
Service :4/5
Value for money :3.5/5
I order for their Thalis (meals) veg and Non-veg so many times. Proper Bengali and delicious food. I wish peetuk serve wheat paratha and not maida. Nonetheless the food including paratha is brilliant in quality and quantity ! I highly recommend this homely food place !!!
I loved the kosha mangsho and sona moong dal. I had been craving for it for such a long time. I have earnest request to you guys that please open an outlet in Chembur. Please
This has become my go to place for bengali food in Mumbai
Love their food
Love their behavior
Only problem is the apace. It has a seating arrangement of maximum 14-16 people(2 six seater table and 1 two seater), so most of the time you have to wait to get a place to seat, specially during any bengali festivals. Or else it is my fav place to eat bengali food in Mumbai which doesn't even make a hole in pocket
Ordered mutton biryani and katla fish fry. The latter had an authentic Bengali taste. Mutton biryani was average at best. Will definitely try other fish varieties.
I have tried their fried fish at lokhandwala durgotsav. again wanted to taste the same so ordered fish fry. It was little crispy and fried to perfection, good in tase with mustard sauce. Price is also reasonable. Also tried homely chicken kosla, fish kalia, luchi with aloo dum and paratha. Chicken was Very good, fish was just ok, aloo and paratha was good.
The dal tadka was exactly the way we get in kolkata ... I was in tears (of joy) when I tasted the chicken dal tadka and egg dal tadka ... the only place that serves the dal tadka the way it tastes in kol . The phulka chapatis soft thin and well cooked ... I am going to try their other offerings too ... the packing needs to be improved
I'm in love with Luchi and Mutton kosha!! And my mom liked Fish Thali...and I am waiting to try some more dishes like chicken Thali and other items like fish chap
Was introduced to the gentleman by Kalyan aka Finely chopped. But got a chance to try out once he opened close by. First order to try out a Bengali place begins with an egg roll.
Ordered with specific instructions. Received on time but had onions in the roll. The extra trial portion of Aloo was very good and a bonus.
The roll besides retaining the onions also has good amt of oil.
The food is simply out of the world. The mutton of the biryani was very soft & succulent..the biryani had the perfect blend of spices...just like our very own biryani from Kolkata...the mutton duckbunglow was very very tasty...the chicken chaap was ok...egg devil was " darunn"...last but not the least was the quantity...the quantity of every item was more than adequate...to sum it up, Peetuk has touched our soul...thank you so much..
Loved the chicken biryani, chicken chaap & fish fry...after 1yr & half my search for the " Kolkata biryani " here in Mumbai has stopped here...my cravings has been answered...thank you Peetuk..
This time I ordered jhaal chicken and roti. Guess what! I found that it was better than chicken kosha.
Good place and kind of okay bengali food. As we do have very small option for bengali food in Mumbai, this is one of the must going please. Specially the rolls are good.
We ordered lunch from here. I decided to go for a sampling of everything and hence ordered a Special Chicken Thali.
Through Zomato’s awesome delivery service, the food landed at my doorstep in about half an hour. I unpacked a number of small containers that had been entrusted with carrying my Special Chicken Thali. It had rice, a (lachha) paratha, dal, jhoori aloo bhaja, aloo-fulkopi dalna (potato & cauliflower curry), homely chicken kosha, and chutney. The food was hot, fresh, tasty, and extremely Bengali. When I was done about 30 minutes later, I was too full to move (something we Bengalis call “pet aidhai kora”).
I plan to visit the outlet soon. Then, I will be able to give some more details. Kolkata Chicken Biryani, Bhapa Ilish (Hilsa), Fish Kalia, Mutton Moghlai Paratha, and Peetuk Spl. Chicken Roll are on my radar. The prices are extremely reasonable, and I have not had such fulfilling food in Mumbai for a long time.

Heavenly! The Bong in me was crying when I tasted the food. Keep up the amazing work.. :"")
I love petuks authentic taste in food and the decent pricing comapred to thr other contemporaries but i really wish petuk introduces more vegetarian bengali dishes like diff dals mocha .. Thor...lau ghonto panchmmishali sabzi potoler dolma...the list is endless Or even in non veg.like.choices are very limited and they seem to be quite content and not intend to expand
Peetuk you have been my saviour. Been ordering from the restaurant both through Zomato and Uber Eats and the experience has been awesome every single time. Ordered mostly fish items, shukto and luchi. But that's enough for me to gauge their dedication to good food. What stands out is the feeling of having home made Bengali food, and the price point of course. I have ordered almost ten times the past month, and the Bengali foodie in me is delighted. One of the few places that has mastered the art of making shukto. Kudos and please maintain the quantity, quality and price point so I don't have to cook Bengali food at home again. 😁
Pretty good bengali food with good flavour and taste. Had ordered the mutton biryani thali and it came with parathas, kosha and some gravy. The items were fresh but the food was not hot on arrival.
Also, I felt that the price was too steep for the quantity that I received as the mutton pieces were small and had too much bone. Flavour and taste-wise, it was very good.
Too tiny to dine in.. perfect for home delivery. Authentic Bengali food.. reasonably priced. Tried the chicken in laal jhol, very well cooked. The Kolkata mutton biryani, although flavorful, we found the mutton a bit undercooked. Will definitely try other stuffbin future orders
Peetuk is my saviour in Mumbai when it comes to Kolkata style biryani 😁 This little joint is a Haven for Bengali food lovers and should be in your must try list. We tried their egg roll on our first visit and fell in love with the food and price. It tasted exactly like Kolkata egg roll! Next we tried chicken biryani, porota and kosha mangsho and I kind of had tears in my eyes... The Bengali in me was so exhilarated you see. The combo biryani is excellent if you are looking for a sumptuous yet budget meal. I just loved peetuk for it's food. Please keep up the consistency and I am sure you will keep improving with time.
delivey is always before time with no food complaints. thank you peetuk
Home away from home ! Shifted to Mumbai 4 years back from Kolkata but this place kept me hooked with Bengali cuisine! One of the best in the business for authentic Bengali food and tastes homely !
I have ordered multiple variety of dishes from this place and lately have started using Zomato frequently for putting down my thoughts & expression for food reviewing ! Hence, uploading few pictures which I ate very recently from this Restro !

we ordered the chicken biryani and special chicken roll. The biryani was an absolute rockstar, mild but amazing flavours, just how a Bengali biryani is...and the boiled egg and potato add to the flavours. Roll was good but biryani takes the cake!
The devil chops( stuffed with egg and mashed aloo tempered with spices ) were soft and succulent ..
The taste was 'oh so yum' !!
food was good. zomato delivery bad
Kolkata mutton biryani and chicken chaap was super delicious. Among all biryani places closest to the taste of authentic Kolkata shiraz or arsalan biryani and chaap. very good quantity. Chaap is sometimes inconsistent in it's spicy levels. I have been ordering from here frequently sometimes they make it super spicy. Fish fingers were really good yummy crisp from outside and soft and juicy inside.
it's awesome and tasty paneer bajhi..
very well taste. exactly like Bengali food are made at home.
Tried the combo of luchi n kosha mangsho.
Delivery was within time....And food was hot
4 pieces if luchi with 2 pieces of mutton with sufficient gravy for the luchis
Mutton was soft and succulent and the luchis good.
For a single individual vfm as billing of 200 odd well worth it.
Can smell and taste each and every spices used for cooking. You will feel like ur having food at home.
chicken kosha was fabulous:)
biriyani was superb....mutton korma was awesome...boti kabab was too good springy types
Had ordered the Mustard Fish and Mutton Dak Bangla. First of all, generous proportions! The 2 pieces of fish were big "gaantha" cuts, the Mustard curry had the necessary zing, and the mutton was also well cooked in a yummy gravy. Excellent Bengali preparations; will go back for more. Keep it up, Peetuk!
If u want to relish authentic bengali cuisine look no further. Enjoy the street food parathas and rolls. In terms of decor dont expect much its simple tables and chairs . Staff is quite friendly. However some instructions might be missed hence double check. Taste is amazing.
As a Bengali, I was quite satisfied with their double chicken-egg roll. Not too oily either. Looking forward to trying their other items like Kosha Mangsho soon. 😋
Had ordered for luchi and mutton kosha for lunch and it was great. The kosha was too good and the mutton pieces were quite big. Very satisfied. Wil order again.
