As a child I have been going here for the lunch buffet. It's not a typical Desi food spread. They serve you indian Chinese as well. The food quality is pretty decent. Hot puri and pulkas are served to you on the table

One of the best vegetarian buffet I have ever had. The ambience was very good and the place was very spacious. The staff was very courteous and we'll mannered.
The plan of the buffet goes as follows:
1. They had 4 welcome drinks: Mixed fruit juice, Buttermilk, Jaljeera and Chikoo Banana Milk Shake out of which I liked Chikoo Banana Milk Shake the most since it had the right amout of sweetness, fruits and milk.
2. There were 4 starters out of which I tried Cocktail Samosa, Palak Paneer Roll, White Dhokla. Out of these, White Dhokla was the best since it was extremely soft and had the perfect sponginess. Highly Recommended : White Dhokla
3. For Main Course, I tried puran poli, Nimbu Paneer and Spinach with Corn. I felt something was missing in it. It required more spices and taste. There were other options also like Paneer Biryani, Veg Pulao. You should definitely try it.
3. The desserts had Ras Angoori, Gujiya, Gulab Jamun, Kesar Pista Kulfi and Anjeer Badam Ice Cream out of which Ras Angoori was the best as it was so soft that it melted in your mouth. Highly Recommended: Ras Angoori

New year diwali lunch with family was worth traveling after beautiful darshan of shree krishna...this place is part of the temple....now this place is at iskcon juhu...so don’t expect anything serve with onion and garlic but buffet serve was good and upto the mark family crowed...good management good food option and variety of food served was great and good

Food- Doesn't matter you're vegetarian or not, if you have the special thali, you'd fell in love with them.
Service- Though you have to take your food from the counters, you'll love the prompt and royal service inside.
Would recommend Samrat, Churchgate Thali over the highly priced hyped buffet at Govindas. Samrat has many options for Jain food plus lower priced than Govindas.
We have been to Govindas regularly for lunch/dinner. Went there recently last month - it was disappointing and not value for money
1. Rs 600 per person for cold buffet is expensive.
2. NO CONSIDERATION FOR JAIN FOOD
3. Dahi Vada - Vada stuffed with aloo !!
4. Pasta cold and all stuck to eachother and not at all appealing
4. Thai curry - Bad, the thai fried rice were decent
5. Puris - Way too slow service in making puris. This is one of the fastest things one can make.
6. It was written food is prasad - I completely agree. But keep the price lower if it really is prasad. Plus you’re charging Rs 600 per person for cold food?
7. Loud and noisy crowd with no etiquette. Probably just coming there for show off.

Sunday lunch buffet, the spread was elaborate. Anyone coming here would know that they cook without any onion, garlic or processed oils.
They use only ghee. Since there was a lot of rush, coz seating and the buffet was at a fair distance. One thing, you can't be picky here. Cuz one might just taste the difference of not having onion and garlic in their food. They dabble in different cuisines, that is a feat in itself. Staff is not cooperative. Ambience is calm tho. Would come back for more.

This is definitely a must visit, yes it is a pure veg restaurant and without onion and garlic, but you will never know that. The food here is really good.
They have a huge spread of buffet and quite reasonable.
I was here in May and again in August,
I have given 5 stars, but this time around a few of the dishes(I speak this according to my palette) fell short, including rajma and noodles and even the chat dish!
Having said that, the ambience is good, Saturday's and Sundays are packed.
The spread is absolutely amazing, from good salads including Russian, and dhoklas and even a chat dish, to curry dishes to pastas to noodles to biryani, with rotis and pooris!
And some great desserts.
Left without having breakfast and, and had so much that it was difficult to even have in the evening :)

Govinda’s is famous for its buffet unlimited thali since years. It is placed inside the premises of Iskcon and serves only vegetarian food with no onion or garlic.
The staff here is very courteous here and there are lots of table seating. However, there is at least 30 min waiting here on weekends.
We visited govinda’s for Sunday lunch. After waiting for around 30 minutes for a table we started our meal with jal jeera, guawa sharbat, chandan water and butter milk.
Plenty of salad, farsaan options to try out. I say try out as you need to have some space in stomach by the time you reach the desserts 😂.
The stand out in the whole buffet would be Palak poori, dal panchratna, aamras, Hyderabadi biryani.
The buffet is aptly placed at 600 for one with taxes, considering thali is unlimited along with unlimited sweet dishes and desserts 🍨 🍮.

Authentic Indian cuisine. This restaurant majorly handled by ISKON trust, you do not get onion garlic in any of the dish. But you cannot avoid the food and ambience just for oniin garlic. It's a huge treat for vegeterians and jains. Rs. 500/- for one is a reasonable cost for a buffet dinner. The food is so tasty that you just lick your fingers. The service is good too. You get 4-5 types of welcome drinks which is served on your table. Rest of the meal courses you have to help your self with. The sweet (rasmalai) was so awesome that we could not resist eating 1 or 2 and we do not know how many did we have. Hope my review for the place helps.......

Purpose of visit - This restaurant was on my wishlist for real long time. Recently I heard a feedback from a friend of mine saying the food served here is too good. Finally I wanted to give a try.
Location - This is located in the premises of ISKCON temple, if unable to find a way just ask the security at the gate and they'll tell you the direction.
Restaurant details - It's a place to eat temple food with a benchmark set by these people. The restaurant has a spiritual ambience with chants being played on the speaker. The staff is courteous enough and there are large number of tables for seating.
Order details -
The menu is being pre decided and it's a buffet menu. The dishes are limited in quantity but have superb quality minus garlic and onion and also no spicy at all.
Welcome drinks-
1) Jaljeera - More or less like a Pani Puri Ka paani.
2) Buttermilk- Usually I found it too watery at other places but it wasn't the case here. This was simply good.
3) Fruit punch juice - This was the best among all. It had mango, pineapple mixed in it.
4) Rosemilk - My mother had this but she didn't like it coz it was too sweet in taste.
Soup -
Sweet corn soup - The soup was simply awesome. Simple yet tasty.
Starter - Starters included dhokla, mirchi( chilli) vada, banana seekh kebab and darbari chaat which had fried bread at bottom topped with paneer, cottage cheese and sev. The mirchi vada was more of a bhajiya / fritter. All were good, no doubt about that.
Salad - I had a thing called cocktail salad where apart from regular thing like cabbage, cucumber they also added bit of mango and pineapple to it. Tasted really good.
Main course
1) Naan - It was bit on a chewy side
2) Palak poori- This was wholesome
3) Mix Veg paratha -This was awesome with stuffed veggies in it.
4) Roti - This was a regular stuff.
5) Kaju Channa tendli - It means cashew, chickpeas and small gourd. This was something new I tried out and I liked it.
6) Kadhai Paneer- This was the best among all the vegetables on the menu.Perfectly made.
7)Banana raita - This was something new I tried and must say the quantity was perfect as a result it tastes real well.
8) Aamras- This was amazing. Maybe they put a bit of saffron into it which gave it a orange texture.
9) Dum Biryani - I didn't have much space left,so I took real little of it just for sake of taste and damn! Amazing.
10) Corn Mutter pulao - Corn and green peas pulao too was simply tasty enough.
11) Kulfi - This was a kesar pista Kulfi. Another tasty item on menu.
12) Cocktail ice-cream- Add tutti fruits into vanilla ice cream and you'll get this. This one was above average.
Conclusion - The staff prepares everything by itself in the kitchen with only outsourcing of best quality ingredients from the market. The food is tasty and wholesome and one could feel the love of the staff who prepared it for us which feels like the blessing from Lord Krishna himself.

This place is quite accessible by all means of transport. Located close to Juhu Bus depot and the beach, the restaurant is situated within Bhaktivedanta temple and all food is basically Prasadam or food which is received in form of blessings from the Almighty and prepared by his devotees.
The restaurant is fully air conditioned, elegantly lighted with interiors having portraits of Krishna's pastimes. The unlimited buffet spread is the widest and most authentic vegetarian food one can ever hope to encounter and is cooked in purest and freshest ingredients. The sweets and starters must be tasted to be believed. The devotees who serve you are extremely pleasant and their warmth makes this place a perfect family outing.
Have visited almost half a dozen times since the restaurant opened and each time I simply fall more in love with the restaurant's food.

We went for darshan to Iskcon on Sunday and then for lunch at Govindas.
This place is always packed and they don't take reservations. You must go well in advance for the first seating at 12.30pm.
The food here is amazing. One of the best vegetarian restaurant. They have a lavish buffet right from starters, to number of main courses and desserts. Just tasting all the dishes can stuff you up. This Sunday there was aarmas to top it all.

This was 1st experience for me with no Onion and garlic food. I visited here with my office team and fell in love with the food they serve. The staff was very warm and welcoming. I never knew that food without onion could taste that good too, specially vegetarian. The ambience too is amazing.

Overall this place is amazing and the food is great.
The dishes at this place are made without using garlic and onion; and surprisingly the taste was good. I didn't felt any difference / missing taste like that. The dishes were less cheesy, spicy it's like a home food. The place is spacious. The overall experience and desserts was really awesome.

This restaurant in iskcon temple juhu has one of the best authentic food witb no onion and garlic. They serve various dishes in the form buffet and the taste is really amazing even without no onion and garlic. While everyone is aware of the rich quality of Govinda’s food. Tasty and rich buffet made with pure ghee and no onion and garlic. Very few talk about its sumptuous breakfast. It is magnificent. I ordered Mooli paratha, something we don’t get elsewhere. It was superb. As good as an punjabi restaurant would serve. The masala dosa was great and poha was par.

Amazing place! Adjoining Hare Krishna Temple, the food here is actually Krishna Prasadam. The place has a joyful vibe. Well lit and shiny clean chairs. Buffet is sumptuous with a wide variety of starters, main course and dessert. The Gulab Jamun is among the best I have eaten anywhere!

Nestled in the compound of ISKCON in juhu, everything they serve as a part of elaborate buffet is treated as Lord Krsna's prasadam. And obviously prasadam never has onion and garlic in it. So you wonder if biryani, pasta, noodles and the likes of it will taste good??!!!
Yes they do.And even better so. The food is so yummy. It's a mix of north Indian and continental food. And a plethora of desserts.This is a must visit for everyone.

Being a fan of Higher Taste in Bangalore, we decided to try out Govindas in Isckon in Mumbai. And we were NOT disappointed. The dinner menu was a buffet and we were a bit apprehensive if we would be able to do justice to the same, however, every single item on the spread was a true delight! The buffet was extravagant with some yummy and unique dishes - Rava Dhokla, Soya Potato Salad, Jain Spegatti (too good), Dahi Bhindi, Spinach Pulav and many many more. Every single dish was absolutely outstanding! The beverages were also really good and had a variety. And added plus point is that this restaurant is definitely kid/baby friendly and the staff were very courteous. Worth the price of 500Rs per head! 👍👍
Govinda’s is a family buffet restaurant with limited yet delicious varieties of dishes. The food prepared is supposed to be of pretty good quality and they don’t have any oily stuff like we encounter in other restaurants. The buffet is reasonably priced. The ambiance is good. Starting from the Ambience, the place takes you to another Horizon making a hungry person Calm with its beautiful interior.
We had a breakfast starting with Paneer Pakoda and Ganga Jamuna juice. Masala Dosa was crispy but Puri Bhaji and Aloo Paratha were the hefty ones.

As the name suggests, it is not just food 🥘 it’s PRASAD! So the food is prepared with strict Sanatan vidhi (food cooked in single process, no reheating or refrying) and with non-tamasic (avoids onion garlic) vegetarian products. The food is first offered to Krisna and then served hence the title ‘prasad’
Since I’m trying a Vegan diet i stuck to whatever I could choose, but let me tell you this place can make everything in its unique style, imagine the following:

Very good place to dine-in, you can actually feel good vibes coming from the Temple while having food. The buffet spread is also very elaborate and each dish perfectly made. The sereneity and pureness is preserved in food.. Staff is also very courteous and the interior and decor is also very earthy.. one thing which got a spcl attention was the curtains realy beautiful (sorry lil off beat but can't stop my self to mention in the review) Rajbhog and Trutty Fruity ice creams are the best..

We went for a family get together and celebration. It was a Sunday afternoon and the menu was just superb. All food was very well made and organised. Such a hygienic place and so very friendly staff. A must visit place !!
My personal favourite. Always loved the spread with desert's . Had dinner with my friend s was there from 7.30pm to 10.30pm Enjoyed. Enjoyed.

Amazing restaurant, the taste of vegetarian dishes served is delicious. Unlimited portions for buffet is the best part of dining at this restaurant.
A great place to enjoy your meal. Have been here many times and tried all 3 buffet ...breakfast,lunch and dinner. Quality and taste of food is excellent with good ambience . Situated in Iskcon temple it gets many visitors so most of the time it's crowded.

The restaurant is in the premise of iscon temple. Spacious and beautifully decorated also the food was quite decent. It’s a “Satvik Bhojan” as said by people. Family place and pocket friendly.
Located in the premises of the Iskcon temple at Juhu, the ambience at the restaurant is also just as pure and peaceful and gives such positive vibes. The staff is very courteous and greet everyone with a very sweet Radhekrishna.
We had been here for a Sunday dinner, they have a vast variety of food to offer for the buffet, there's something for everyone here. The food is very healthy, home-like and very tasty as well. The buffet is priced a little on the higher side but still worth every penny.
The place is well worth the money. The food flavors are excellent and they have such a large variety to offer. I visited the place on a Sunday afternoon with 6 other family members and enjoyed the food. The place is very hygienic. The service is very good as well. The only issue I had was with the chaas, which was offered to us as a welcome drink, was too spicy and lacked salt. But besides that all other food items were made well! I would definitely recommend the place.

Visited last night with family n friends. The ambience was good. Very courteous staff greeting with “Hare Krishna “ and addressing ladies as Mataji and Gents as Prabhuji which is unique. The Buffet started with welcome drinks served on the table which included strawberry milkshake, buttermilk, mix fruit juice and jaljeera. Starters had cute lil samosas and vadas, sandwich dhoklas, sev chaat to name a few. The spread had few items compared to other buffet serving restaurants but def worth it. Loved the raita with lil bit sweetness and mint flavour to it. The Paneer dish was excellent, very fresh paneer. Dry Chole was upto the mark with correct amount of masalas. Dahi kadhi pakora and Toor dal can be given a miss. If u like spicy pulao then Gatte ki khichdi is the one for you. They serve regular khichadi and steam rice too. Breads include chapati, puri, thepla and tandoori roti. Pasta is also served in salad form and as one of the main course dishes in red gravy. Desserts included gulab jamun, ras malai, basundi and coconut barfi. Loved the gulab jamuns, they melt in your mouth. Ice creams are served on the table, namely roasted almond, butterscotch and kulfi. Will def viait again!
Great food but it was very badly packed. When it was delivered to me, it was leaking from everywhere. Please focus on packaging.
