My first choice for dine out
(To much rush on Saturday and sunday)
It’s almost a no brainer what to order when you enter this place their tandoori chicken is one of the best in entire Mumbai
The fish that we order is always fresh and without any odour
Last but not the least butter chicken and chicken tikka biryanis to finish the meal
Spice level in all good is optimum
The only thing that can be improved in the washrooms very cramped
A cozy place for some drinks n great food varieties available
Their ambience is good with poliet staff. Do try their seafood. They also have biryanis and other north indian cuisine do try them as well. Food/staff/ambience everything is good must visit with family
Lamba is Chembur is our go-to place for some great Punjabi food. A small family owned restaurant, you will be greeted with the amazing smell of cooking as soon as you enter the premises as their grill is located outdoors. Seating is a little cramped and service can be improved no doubt but the food is definitely worth it. Start of with their famous Lamba Prawns fry and Chicken Tandoori cooked to perfection. The main course will include your choice of subzi and naan and end it with a tasty biryani on offer.
We highly recommend the food but you will be better off ordering a take out or home delivery here
LAMBA RESTAURANT AND BAR ONE OF THE BEST PLACE IN CHEMBUR FOR NON VEG DISHES NO COMPARISION 5STAR RATINGS ANYTIME THE TASTE OF SEA FOOD OR TANDOOR CHICKEN IS JUST DELICIOUS
Still remember visiting lamba specially for eating Rawas koliwada and chikken tikka and fish biryani.
Offcourse in course of time the rates have increased but taste is still the same.
Fresh, tasty and super quick service.
I still love their prawn koliwada n special mention for the mint chutney that they serve along with the starters. It's to die for.
I hv been patron to this amazing place. It has sustained its quality thru decades. If u are a sea foof lover a visit to this place is must. Their signature dish koliwada Jhinga is just awesome deep fried crunchy ones. U can even call for ravas fry the crispy coating on the outside fried to perfection. Even the kebabs are great juicy bites. And the tandoori lollipops one of our favorites always a mandate to have are juicy fresh pieces of meat. Price considering the quality portion is very much fair.
this is our go to place for beer and tandoori chicken. good portion size, makes it a very comfortable sharing by two people. delicious food and prompt service.
If you are a sea food lover than this is just the right place for you. Vegetarians do not have much options and the taste of vegetarian food is also average.
This place is specially for sea food lovers.
Comfort Punjabi food! Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu at this place. Though I've never tried non punjabi dishes so can't comment on them. Been a patron of this place since about 10 years now and expect to continue being one!
Sea food is yummy awasome whenever we ordered, it reached in time with loads of seafood s flavours which makes our mouth watering. It is highly recommended hotel ,i visited since 30years .wow
One of the Oldest Restaurants in this locality with Great North Indian Food.
We were there this weekend and ordered there Famous Prawns Koliwada, Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken.
Food was Good and reasonably priced.
They have two seating arrangements One For Family without Bar and other with Bar. So if you are Craving for Punjabi Food you can always go there.
Lamba is our very own Michelin star restaurant. It is a religion, which has been in existence since way before anyone of us was born.
The secret recipes and every ingredient used makes every dish equivalent to a lifetime of happiness.
My top 3 selection in no ascending order of likeliness is
1) prawn fry
2) chicken chill
3) chicken lollipops
The above three dishes are the pillars of what Lamba stands for.
In short, you want to live life, eat at Lamba’s
This place has got enough seating space. The service is cordial. Food is awesome. Paneer tikka and chicken tikka are worth trying. In main course, we had mutton kadai and it was also delicious. This restaurant serves delicious food with cordial service.
Great place to have non veg food bit expensive but yes it does match to the taste and quality to some extent. They've renovated their restaurant and is far better than it was before. I love their chicken kebabs, butter chicken, tandoori naan. Great place for non veg lovers . talking about the food the Chicken Reshmi Biryani had a wholesome quantity of Reshmi Murg pieces which had a soft bite and were appealing in taste, although the biryani was mediocre in taste. It felt like the herbs and the spices had not blended in perfectly
If you are here for a dinner make sure you try tandoori chicken and rawas fry for starters. It tastes so good!! The meat is fresh and it taste amazing. For main course chicken kadhai and rooti/naan is perfect. Typical punjabi food. Ambience is good with great service of staff
Lamba Restaurant & Bar Ek acha outlet he Chembur me sith he Station se 20mint ka safar he Sea Food kahi tasty he Chiken Biryani bhi Teast me acha he Koliwada parwn bhi acha he yaha ki Sarvice bhi achi he
Friday night drinks and fish is ur favourite than visit this place served best kokiwada prawns, sumai and chicken tandoori and if ur biryani lovers than don't forget to try its chicken kheema biryani
Lamba is famous for its seafood and we were looking for exactly that.
We ordered the Lamba Prawns, fish fry, Manchow soup, Chicken reshmi Biryani.
Fried Small-sized prawns brown in colour with chat masala sprinkled with chat masala; the prawns were crispy as well as tasty.
The fish was similar in cooking but had the taste of a fish, the fish was decent in taste as well.
The Manchow soup was Bland.
The Chicken Reshmi Biryani had a wholesome quantity of Reshmi Murg pieces which had a soft bite and were appealing in taste, although the biryani was mediocre in taste. It felt like the herbs and the spices had not blended in perfectly.
Overall It was a cool experience, if you are a seafood lover and don't mind a visit to Chembur then you should definitely visit Lamba and try the Prawns and the fishes they make.
Had heard a lot about the food here, and finally ordered the quintessential butter chicken and butter garlic naan. Gosh, my soul was satisfied! The food is, without a doubt, amazing. The best butter chicken I've had so far! The only little drawback is the price.
#Lamba Restaurant & Bar
The best place to have spicy Punjabi food as well as sea food!
Here the staff is very humble and sweet.
The taste of food is good because there are fresh meat, fishes... so it's taste delicious.
This place is very comfortable to hangout with your friends!
It has very affordable drinks too!
Must visit here to try such tasty sea food as well as Punjabi food.
Honestly, the best place to have spicy punjabi food.
If you are here for a dinner make sure you try tandoori chicken and rawas fry for starters. It tastes so good!! The meat is fresh and it taste amazing. For main course chicken kadhai and rooti/naan is perfect. Typical punjabi food. Ambience is good and so is the staff.
Absolute value for money north-Indian restaurant. Their prawns fry & fish fry is an absolute must. Must ask for their “Phirni” as it’s truly mind-blowing. It’s personally made by the manager of the restaurant himself.
We have been addicted to this restaurant for past 2-decades now or to mention it precisely, since the time we started nibbling on delicious food with our toddler teeth on.
Apologies that I couldn’t manage a picture of my order since lamba Food is irresistible.
Food quality and quantity hasn’t changed a bit in last 25years . It’s as intact . A 10/10 for the consistency.
Value for money 6/10 could escalate your monthly expenses if you are addicted to their food for daily dose and requirement.
Service 10/10 prompt and precise as always . Whether you choose to eat at the outlet or order it home , they are always courteous and polite .
A place near Diamond Garden which u can go for a fulfilling Family Dinner if u are craving fr Punjabi Food. Its not very heavy on the pocket too.
My Orders:
Prawns Fry- The prawns felt a little raw. Taste was Average
Ravas Tikka- The show stellar for sure. Amazing taste and definitely worth a try
Chicken Tandoori- It was decent.
Butter Chicken- Not the usual sweet Butter Chicken..Its definitely worth the try to satiate your Punjabi Food Cravings
Chicken Handi- Again a dish which is very common but this one had a special flavor to it
Chicken Biryani- The one which my Family Members liked alot. I personally felt the rice was overcooked.
Lamba the best place to have non vegetarian food ! It has very good sea food & the place members .
All the members are very humble ND sweet !
The place is very comfortable to hangout with your special one .
The food is tasty & awesome .
It has very affordable drinks too !
Their famous Lamba prawns are still my hot favourite since childhood and would continue to be....
The green chutney it comes with is so delicious.
I loved the combo of butter garlic naan and prawns with onions and green chutney!
The butter chicken roll is a must try
Aah!! Soulful food indeed 😋
This restaurant is superb and the essential food is great... I really love this place ♥️ I went there with my friends and friends for a late night dinner and we all loved what was served ✨♥️
This restaurant is great and serves great food too. The ambiance is really very good and the service is the best. The waiters are friendly and suggest you things that are served fast. Food tastes very well. We tried the fish biryani(rawas) and it is recommended by me. I give this restaurant an overall rating of 9/10
Lamba restarant

Service 4/5
Food 4/5
Ambeince 3.5/5
Very famous restaurant in Chembur. Small place but their food and service are really awesome. Specially their sea food items and tandoori chicken. Must try with you family and friends.
They serve the best chicken...m totally in love with this restaurant.. i had tandoori chicken and chicken Biryani...biryani would have been more better and more in quantity ...but then talking about what i loved.. i loved the tandoori very much...
Great place to have Butter chicken . The Jhinga fry and Rawas fry is out of this world ! You just can't get those type of Prawns and Rawas fry anywhere. Try the Pomphret fry too. Decent place to sit for a drink . There is a separate Family section as well
Love the place from childhood.... Or atleast since I started eating non veg food. Favourite dish - seekh kebabs... All time favourite did all - Lamba prawns... Pretty much a non veg foodie's heaven....
A place that serves veg and non veg food of equal brilliance. My favourite when it comes to veg is paneer tikka masala and chicken tikka masala when it comes to non veg items; both the items are cooked to perfection and with the right balance of flavours. The staff of quite friendly and service is prompt. Overall a great place to have a relaxed dinner either alone or with friends and family.
Have been sort of regular to this place now. What my non vegetarian friends love: lamba prawns is on top of the list. The chicken curries are ok. The butter chicken not the best. Paneer kadai and egg masala is good. Their lacchha paratha is made of wheat and that’s the biggest plus and tastes great. They serve absolutely piping hot food. Will keep visiting!
One off the best places in Chembur for Chicken and fish to be specific surmai. Chicken is OSM. You name any chicken starter it's juicy buttery and delicious.
Main course is Ok but the starters the cook has nailed it. Simple delicious.
Ambience is ok. During the peak hours you will have to wait. Do be ready for that.
All in all good restaurant do try it!
From Munching the Fish and Prawns Koliwada from my childhood, this place is really special, and my place to be when I want a good Fried Fish/Prawns Koliwada and nothing else. The green Chutni makes it amazing!
It's been a while since I have been here, though the food here always tasted awesome and still does. However, the service was a bit slow and the order does take a decent time. When it does come though, it really is worth the wait. Not too expensive and the sea-food is really good here too. Surely try it.
Lamba is an amazing place for people who love to eat non- veg. Chicken white and prawns are truly amazing. Service is bit slow. But overall experience is good.
One of Chembur's oldest n famous non veg outlet .. they specialized in all tandoor items .. but specially there prawns koliwada is house speciality..
Famous for it's North Indian Punjabi chicken speciallities.
Must have tandoori chicken and the biryani.
Decent portion size and would rate an average for price.
A nice pick for Sunday dinners with family.
I tried the prawns and chicken biryani. The biryani here is quite good and worth having. The starters too are good. I had the chicken chilli and seekh kebab. The kebabs was tasty but the servings for the kebabs was quite less. Expected more quantity at that price. You can enjoy here with family and friends.
If you are a sea food lover, this is the place for you! Prawns fry is what you get the best here, a chilled glass of beer and prawns fry is one crazy combination! Try pomfret tawa fry and other tandoor delicacies here.
We are looking for sea food.. It's the best restaurant in chembur Which serves seafood.. I have been to lamba many times and the best part is the taste n quality is upto the mark..
Awesome dishes..... Prawns fry n fish fry...
Ambiance was a good... N very quick service..
If ur one of them who love North Indian cuisine. Then maybe this place is right for you, the service of the hotel is good, I had Chicken Tandoori 🍗it was the way Awesome, worth trying once
Lamba Bar and Restaurant is located close to Diamond Garden. We had ordered tandoori roti, butter naan, and chicken mughlai. The rotis were good, the naan had ample butter and tasted delicious. The quantity of the chicken is enough for two people. The chicken is loaded with spices but it seems the curd which has been added while cooking would have neutralised the spiciness of the dish. The chiicken is awesome.
The service is prompt and the waiting time for the chicken mughlai is around five to ten minutes. They take around a minute or two to bring the order on roti and naan.
The ambience is great. We had gone to the non-alcoholic section of the restaurant and it is quiet and peaceful, with some Punjabi music in the background at the right volume, which allows you to listen to the music and at the same time hear what the friends are saying. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
P.S.: The menu uploaded on Zomato is old. The prices are higher in the menu at the restaurant and the number of items in the menu is much more than the menu uploaded here.
I have been to this place thrice in the last 3 days since it was the only north Indian family restaurant in the vicinity! The ambience was decent enough and the food was excellent! I have had Tandoori Roti, Black Dal Makhani, Mushroom Masala, Fresh Lime Soda, Veg Kadhai, Aloo Gobi and Fish Rawa Fry.
All the dishes were quite delicious. The only complaint I may have that the Dal could be a wee bit thicker! The fish fry was the highlight of the meal and I would definitely come back for this beauty! Loved the ample amounts of onions and Pudina Chutney on the table. Would also highly recommend the Chicken and Prawn Biriyani as they are delicious and the quantity is great as well.
Definitely a must visit in the Chembur area for some good Punjabi food😊
Had been there for get-together of friends with family.
Nice and warm staff. cool ambience. a Good fine dine restaurant.
We had Chicken Kalimiri Kabab, Chicken Tikka, Panner Tikka, ver crispy all the dishes were upto the mark.
In main course we had daal fry, butter chicken, chicken handi and rice. with paratha, naan and roti, all the items were delicious.
Recommended.
I've given a 4star to this place for the awesome prawns and fish they have been serving for the past so many years.
Head to diamond and if you get the smell of sea food you sure know Lamba is cooking some kick-ass prawn and rawas koliwada.
The other stuff on the menu is nice but I'd definitely recommend you try the koliwada dishes.
Ordered the prawn Koliwada and tandoori chicken, and kid you not, it was superb, with the right drink alongside, they can make one beautiful evening, this place may not be glossy but even the bar section is very well kept and serviced. The mutton kadai and the butter nan was a 5/5, please do try this place, btw the bill was just 1180 for the whole evening. 😁
one of the best Punjabi restaurants in Chembur region. service is satisfactory. food quantity in one serving is bit less but surely no compromise with food quality. try fish tikka and peas mushroom.
Best place to enjoy Non veg food. service was also good. should try prawns fry, Fish fry and Malai kabab. We also tried cheese garlic naan here and it was awesome. Food 9/10. Ambience 7/10. Service 9/10. Must visit place for Non veg lovers.
Visited this place on a Saturday evening but easilyanaged to get a table. There are 2 seating areas here, one is a bar and the other is the seating area for families. The ambience in the seating area for families is good, though nothing exceptional or noteworthy.
We ordered chicken tikka, reshmi chicken gravy, tandoori roti and laccha paratha.
The food is no doubt good and we loved it. Chicken tikka could have been cooked a bit more, otherwise it had all the spices in it.
Reshmi chicken was a brown gravy preparation. We will definitely recommend this place for Punjabi cuisine.
Food - 9/10
Ambience - 8/10
Service - 7/10
Value for Money - 8/10
Service of restaurant was good but there taste was bit off
There biryani was not in place
Starter was great
Lamba is famous for its seafood and we were looking for exactly that.
We ordered the Lamba Prawns, fish fry, Manchow soup, Chicken reshmi Biryani.
Fried Small sized prawns brown in colour with chat masala sprinkled with chat masala; the prawns were crispy as well as tasty.
The fish was similar in cooking but had the taste of a fish, the fish was decent in taste as well.
The Manchow soup was Bland.
The Chicken Reshmi Biryani had wholesome quantity of Reshmi Murg pieces which had a soft bite and were appealing in taste, although the biryani was mediocre in taste. It felt like the herbs and the spices had not blend in perfectly.
Overall It was a cool experience, if you are a seafood lover and don't mind a visit to Chembur then you should definitely visit Lamba and try the Prawns and the fishes they make.
Good food with considerable improvements possible in service.
The seafood at Lamba is unquestionably delicious. It is a go to place for ravas fry and the lamba special prawns. The channa garlic fry in the veg starters was also unique and flavourful.
Overall good but visited this place after very long & food was not that good as it used to be fish koliwada was okay & butter chicken was a bit more salty than it should be. Not it's called Lamba Da Dhaba so would really expect the overall experience the ambiance to feel like a Dhaba.
Will surely visit again & expect it to be a better experience, have loved this place & will continue to. Definitely recommend to try good authentic Punjabi cusine . All the best 👍
place near diamond garden which you can go for family dinner. It's not very heavy on the pocket too.
We order :
• Chicken chilly: Well spicy & crispy chicken piece's melts in your mouth.
• Panner chilly: Average at taste
• Chicken handi :served hot with fresh & juicy chicken.
• Paneer Tikka masala:Exceptional good
• Tandoori Rotis: Good at taste not so hard
• Jeera rice
They have two seating arrangements. One for family without bar and other with bar. The ambience is not so cozy but it's suitable for a family visit. Seating is Comfortable with good table clearance.
Value for money for sure!
It's a pocket friendly and nice place only for non vegetarians.. in case u are a vegetarian not that you will not get food here.. but you might not enjoy it for 2 reasons. One variety in vegetarian is comparatively less and secondly the restaurant has this smell of non veg on the air.. whichever section you sit in..
Tandoori items are recommended here.. simple but delicious is chicken tandoori and must try is prawns koliwada
They serve food with accompaniments like chutneys..pickle..onion wagar..
Superb Chinese food at the most affordable price. Do try their cheese garlic bread. Soooo yummy!😋 infact you order anything in their menu it's too good.
We visited this restaurant yesterday for dinner. We had Mutton Dry, Roti and Kolambi Fry
Their Kolambi Fry is a crowd puller and so we had to try it. It was nice, not too overpowering in flavour and with a crispy shell. But pair it with their mint chutney and diced onions and it is a great appetizer.
The mutton dry was similarly mildly flavoured, and the roti was quite different from other restaurants. It was a wheat roti instead of the customary maida one, and enhanced the flavour of the mutton.
Overall, it was a nice restaurant experience and worth a try even if you're planning for food with no drinks.
Plus, the fact that I didn't have to pay was an added bonus for me anyways! :)
Lamba restaurant is owned and running by a Punjabi sardar ji located at Sion trombay road near diamond garden always busy crowded speciality is seafood and tandoori items prown fry is amazing 🤩.....
One of oldest and best traditional restaurants with Fish dishes that are prepared with passion and have maintained quality years after year for decades Family owned and run hence Art of Cooking is being passed on since three generations
Place is easy to access , easy to locate , normal ambiance , food quality is very good , but if u are health conscious then this place is not for u , most of the popular starters are deep fried , marination they used are super tasty and finger licking , must visit place for sweet dish lovers , best spot Stags gang hangout and dining
This restaurant has a good first impression. The ambience maintained is also worth complimenting. It's without a doubt a place to "fine dine".
The menu is limited to Indian and (Indian) Chinese cuisine. However the quality of food maintained is adequate. The cost for two people who want to have their fill would definitely go around Rs.700 (Don't go here with a tight budget). It would also depend on what cuisine you go with.
It's a family restaurant, the place is well maintained and hygiene didn't seem of concern either. It's always fun to eat at new restaurants. You'll be glad you ate at this one. :-)
