Perfect choice for budget friendly and multi cuisine eaters
as it has nearly all items you can eat like from tandoori to chinese and malvani Punjabi
And very clean hotel too
Hotel sheetal is located at matunga west.
Service 5/5.
Taste 5/5.
Ambiance 5/5.
Good place for family visit.
staff service is friendly .
Presentation is a great and so attractive of this place.
Starter is so tasty and look good.
visit this amazing place.
Been ordering from hotel Sheetal from the last 10 years and their food never disappoints.
Pahadi kebab, kombdi vade and their seafood is really worth the money.
Hotel Sheetal is a small place located besides Ganga Vihar in Matunga West. This is a quite famous place for sea food, but to my surprise when I tried Chinese food, it was honestly very good. The staff is very friendly followed by a average ambiance. They serve some great thalis. Chicken Triple Schezwan Fried Rice is a must try if you visit this place.
This place is small but the food here is awesome. This place is well famous for its coastal food but at the same time one can find Chinese food here. I like to eat Manchurian rice here. This place mostly crowded at weekends.
Visited this restaurant near matunga west station. The ambiance is ok not very fancy. But comes to the food is very good. Had ordered veg hot n sour soup 4/5 paneer tikka masala 4/5 with bhakri. Overall good experience with food service is quick.
Sheetal hotel Matunga West Mumbai, chicken crispy, fried rice, types of fish, porns dry.taste was good. Love to come again. Service was good and enough.
Good quantity of food for the given price ...
Had Chicken Schezwan Noodles & Chicken Schezwan Rice
Both were good enough with good quality of taste
Me and my roommate used to be frequenters at this place as it caters to pocket friendly meals that taste supreme. We have tried only 2 or 3 dishes on their menu all of which are superb. Their Dal Khichdi is comforting and has a great mouth feel. I've eaten my share of Dal khichdi in various restaurants but this place offers a perfectly coelescing combination of the Dal and rice. My favorite however is their chicken lollipop. It is perfectly crunchy on the outside and packs a punch. My how I crave them now! We've also tried their triple schezwan chicken fried rice. Their portion size is perfect for two heavy eaters. To sum up, great food, great value for money and the only negative is probably the ambience. Although it is certainly one of those hidden food paradises!
Amazing food. Everything is good here. Have been there multiple time. Tried only Veg though but food here is delicious. Quick service and value for money.
The kebabs here are great. Do not judge this place by how it looks from the outside. It is great for malwani food. The quantity is ample as well.
Sea food temple no. 2. Amazing sea food, chicken and mutton thalis. Fish fry is beyond amazing. Must have piping hot Kombadi Wade with Curry.
The last time we came here it was full. Since we were rio hungry could not wait and had lunch elsewhere.
On Friday it was empty due to Sankarshti. We were the only ones there. Loved the attention and quick service.
Surmai Fry - 3.5/5
It should have been taken out about 30sec earlier. Good size. Feesh. But bland. Could do with more masala.
Surmai Thali - 4/5
Ordered wrongly instead of Bangda Thali.
4 large chapattis!!! Enough rice and gravy and a big surmai fry piece. Too filling.
Chicken Crispy - 5/5
Just as ordered. Well prepared.
Solkadi - 5/5
Sooo good.
Dal Khichdi - 4/5
Good enough. Not watery. Lot of tadka even without asking for it. Lot of flavour.
This is a good place to come. Will have to try more seafood options.
This is a small restaurant known in the area for Malvani coastal food. A good place to dine with family. Its not an airconditioned restaurant but one doesn't feel stuffy here and is quite clean. They have about 10 tables and the staff is good and service is fast.
Dishes are moderately priced. A good place for fish eaters. All Malvani dishes are very stastey. Somehow my favorite dish here is Chicken Sukkhe with Naan or Rotis.
Since this place is near by I generally order home delivery or pick-up.
Looking for lipsmaking Malvani which is light on your pocket then this could be just the place for you.
One of the good hotel I ever went to.. nice service .. Soothing n claim atmosphere .. short in space but good at service and food.
Food 3.7/5
Money 3.6/5
Overall it will give you best experience
This is my go to place when I'm at home and I want good food that doesn't burn my pocket and is delivered quickly. Chicken Bhuna, tandoori chicken and surmai fry are my regular orders. It's not really a sit down place best for a nice oder in.
I have been ordering from this place for a while now, I mostly order for seafood but their other stuff is good too! The owner is kind and helps you pick if you are unable to decide, in fact once I got home after work at midnight and I requested if he could cook something, he was kind and sent me food. I love the clams, crabs and prawns. You must try Bhuna Chicken, tandoori prawns, tandoori crabs, shimply thali and Achari chicken. I am a regular and if you are around, don't miss a meal here :) Also it fits the pocket!
Seafood buff???
Well
All around the area .. They really are good ... Not a happening place or so just a normal restra.. But there taste speaks for it itself..
They do have Chinese aswell.. But seafood kills it all..
Accidentally came across this place tucked away in a corner between Matunga and Mahim near City light Cinema. Just had Kombdi Vade with Solkadi for a quick lunch. It was heaven. The chicken was tender and the gravy a right mix of masalas. Will definitely visit once again whenever in this part of Mumbai. All Malvani food lovers should experience this out. 0.5 is for the simplicity.
Been here twice! Good for sea food lovers had ordered prawns fry which were very dry! Chicken lollipops were good chicken Tikka masala was yum! Surmai fry was the star! Though I didn't like the crap much! Orderd chicken fried rice which was a mistake so I will suggest it should be kept only till Indian and sea food not too fancy ambience though! Value for money! Go for food not for looks
Proper Malvani taste is still preserved here. The khichdi is subtly made with proper garnished masalas. A daily-to-go restaurant. Sweet staff!
Fish lover's MUST GO.
This isn't a dining restaurant or a hang out spot. It's a place where you want to treat your tastebuds to an AMAZING seafood meal.
Been here many times with office colleagues and had all fish and chicken thaalis.
I have never left this place without loosening my belt a bit from the overeating!
Terrific local place for some amazing fish. Place is maintained well and staff is always active keeping the place upbeat at all times.

Visitd this place tonyt...it wasnt a fine dine res..bt it was clean hygienic n even th service was good...we orderd chicken tandoori ,chicken pahadi kebab n chicken tikka biryani..in all these dishes the quality of chicken was too good..chicken was juicy tender n fresh...th biryani was a bit like chicken pulav..bt it tasted good..chicken pahadi was a bit spicy bt it was awsum..we even orderd sol kadi which has a strng taste of ginger n was much needed aftr a heavy dinner..th rates wer moderate..n th quality n taste of food was superb..ppl frm matunga area hav a g8 option to order food at their plce specially for nonveg lovers..
At 140, their chicken biryani reeks of value for money. I eat from here often as it delivers to one of my offices. The chicken biryani is more pulao than biryani- and it isnt Dum- but its a good quick working lunch solution. Todays glistened with oil which is concerning, but overall good tase, good portion, quick delivery and economical. Food reflected well in the rating by the populous.
Sheetal has been one of the easy option restaurant in the area for a good meal when I'm just lazy to go anywhere else. The ambience does not speak much as it's a small place with 6 - 8 tables. I have always ended up ordering for a thali here... Chicken, surmai, prawns... Along with rice, bhakris, sol kadi it makes for a satisfying meal. Also tried the palak khichdi. Loved it. Always end up calling for an extra glass of sol kadi... So very refreshing! The service is very helpful and good!
Food - 4/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambience - N/A
The food is amazing I ordered for surmai thali it was so tasty I landed up hoging more than I usually eat the best Malvani food tasted in Mumbai so far try visiting if your interested in food and not the ambience
They dal Khichdi and Palak Khichdi are to die for! If you have a large appetite, do try the tandoori chicken. We order parcel and they are pretty prompt.
I remember my first meal in Mumbai when i shifted to my new flat and i wanted to have something like a biryani, my flat mate made me order from this place and the food was good. No doubt. I had ordered Triple chicken schezwan rice from here. It was good. And the quantity is good for two moderately hungry people.
I went again for eating at the restaurant and the restaurant is like a typical diner. A small yet professionally built place with courteous crew and quick service most of the times. I did try their chicken biryani which was good and enough for a person. The chicken was a bit hard and chewy though.
I also tried their kadhai chicken and butter chicken which were og good taste and quantity.
A must try place if you are ordering or eating daily :)
3.5/5
Ordered home delivery of Dal Khichadi and Dal Tadka on a friends strong recommendation. The restaurant doesn't look promising but we believe appearances can be deceptive and they definitely were... Order arrived in 15 mins flat. Very tasty khichadi, very well made and perfect consistency... I am very finicky about my Dal and it fit on dot quite with my expectations... Overall very good food, great taste, good packaging and great service... Will surely order again!!!! Appearances surely are deceptive.....
Under pressure of catering to a range of people, this quaint malvani place underwent renovation, both in decor and menu. Thankfully they have retained all of their malvani menu!
Disregard anything Chinese or Punjabi etc order anything from their malvani menu and its outstanding!! Freshest seafood. Beautiful curries. And authentic malvani spices.
Very unassuming in appearance but one of the best VFM seafood place in Mumbai.
If you are broke and cannot afford to spend lavishly on your lunch. If you cannot compromise on taste and quantity of food, then sheetal is the place to be at. Best for fish thalis, you should try the pomfret thali, the prawn thali or the sumria thali. The thali consists of sol kadi, a portion of rice, two rotis, a gravy and a proties (prawn or a fish). IT is the best example of simple yet tasty.
The thali will only cost you around 200 or less. The ambiance of the place is not great shakes. But with food of this kind in exchange for money so cheap, the place is total VFM.
This restaurant was the best resto serving sea food until they decided to bring in some change in their menu with some Chinese food items ! But they blend the most typical malvani spices in fish tava fry and make it jaw dropping
5 mins from matunga road station and 15 mins from ruby towers. This place is very convenient for office going people with quality foods at reasonable price. The service provided is excellent. The waiters are so much concerned about customers. Hats off to the them. We tried one starter( forgot the name ) which was excellent :) In main course ordered chicken triple schzwan rice and chicken Manchurian rice. :) the quantity is sufficient for 4 people . The complementary food we got was fried noodles(2 bowls ) and anything for free is a a treat for we Indians :) though it lacked the ambience, still I would love this place and visit again because for me what matters most is food :)
Quite miss the traditional Maharashtrian delicacies offered by Sheetal before it under went the renovation. Even if the new menu offers your regular items ranging from Chinese to Mughlai, you could find similar ones at any other restaurant in Mahim that caters to non vegetarian tastes.
Yet, if you're looking out to satisfy your craving for Chinese with satisfactory portions and a quick delivery, Sheetal might become one of your go-to outlets.
Hotel Sheetal is a small passage like eatery on the way to Matunga West station. This is an unpretentious place serving good food at reasonable rates.
The fried fish is generally skimpy but as are the rates so you wouldn’t really mind. The fried prawns go well with fish curry and rice. They have a good old Maharashrian kolambi bhaat something that I treasure above the “prawns pulav/biryani” that fishfood places serve these days.
small but good restaurant place, also great service.
Recommended items:
Chicken Thali
Jhinga Thali
Pomfret Rava Fry
Surmai Curry and Rice
The Pomfret Rava fry is good. There are times you will encounter a not-so-fresh a catch and the waiter will fail to acknowledge it
The Thalis come with a big serving of gravy (Chicken/Jhinga/Fish), a big serving of boiled thick rice (quite flavorful), a small bowl of sol kadi, a small bowl of extra gravy, accompanied with 3 chapatis/bhakhri or Vade (you get 5 vades in the thali)
You will most definitely not be able to split that thali with 2 people, and having that thali alone is a little too much too.
It's small restaurant located on lokmanya road matunga. The service and quality of food is great. We have tried surmai fry, chicken crispy, chicken reshmi tikka , prawns tandoori and fews fish thalis. Will surely recommend someone this restaurant for good food and pocket friendly restaurant.
This place is very famous for coastal and Chinese food. The service provided is always fast. This place is fully crowded at weekends. The chicken manchurian rice is one of their specialty.
The sea food is very tasty here. Fish are very nicely cooked here. But the service is just below the expectations, only one or two waiters are available at a time. Other non-vegetarian food like mutton is good but not that much tasty as fish.
Quality food at surprisingly affordable prices. This is rare in Mumbai!! Seating is spacious with restaurant being small in size. Another rarity in Mumbai. Will not hesitate to visit 2-3 times more. Food was really very good. 🙂
Shifted From Dadar Siddhivinayak Road, Excellent Test Best Food !!
Food is very tasty. Love to visit.
This is one of the restaurants with the cleanest kitchen.
Food here is just to my liking and taste never disappoints. Whether it's veg, non-veg, Chinese, mughlai, south Indian be assured it will be tasty. Quantity is more than enough for 2 people.
Place accepts cards, UPI payments. Open till late. Delivers in nearby area.
Prawns unan ❤️🔥
Bombil 🤘🏼
Chicken malai , sweet kind of ***star
Food quantity and quality is too good. Price is reasonable and less as compare to other hotels. Place is little small and it is non-ac.
But if you are planning for party and your budget is less, also same time you want the most of your money just go here, it's worth for your money. Hotel stuffs are too good in terms of quality and quantity especially fish and meat dishes. Overall you should try here.
It serves malvani food but basically run by the udipis and that doesnt matters if the food is good.Good for fish thalis in that locality. The curries are tasty as well as the fish as compared to other eateries around.
Yesterday with my friend, had Surmai Thali and Bangda Thali with extra fried pomfret and sol kadhi. Simple and clean place. Affordable rates for fresh fish. Everything was just awesome. A must visit for non-veg lovers and already planning one more lunch next week.
Food taste was good also pocket friendly
Fantastic food
Best to go with family or friends
Decent seating arrangements.
Tandoori lollipop, surmai fry ,kombadi vade , prawns butter garlic ,prawns sukka and a few to name
All the starters and main course are very good here
I was there for lunch. Ordered Chinese. And I'm satisfied with the food quality. The Hotel is very clean and Airy. Food service is quick. The good point is we will get konkani food also. Easily noticable from heavy traffic. Also 5 min walking distance from 'Matunga Road' Railway Station West side...
