If you’re not so concerned about the decor or atmosphere then this place is for the Bengali food lovers! Food was absolutely priceless, super tasty and so wholesome. Simply brilliant, excellent and fantastic. Highly recommend Bengali restaurant! It beats its competitors such as Kasturi by a million miles. Bhojohori Manna has achieved a long history of auspicious food awards since 2013, such as The Times of India Food Awards. They are now successfully celebrating their 20 year anniversary. Let’s hope they continue to serve such moreish tasty food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I think this is the one-stop destination for authentic Bengali food. The fish preparations I had here reminded me of my mom's home-cooked meals. Chicken daakbangla and mutton kosha were so tasty with the perfect balance of spice and sweetness that is signature to Bengali dishes. You also have a plethora of vegetarian dishes. This outlet is better than the Esplanade one, having had almost similar dishes in both the outlets.

Y'all must try this bhetki fish fry. We had a very refreshing doi er ghol, basanti pulao (3 plates for 4 adults), chicken korma (1 for 1), mutton kosha (1 for 1), chicken kosha (1 for 1), chingri malaicurry (1 for 1) and jhuro aloo bhaja. All of this was so delicious that we were barely left with time to click pictures.

One of the best bengali food restaurants in the city, clean hygienic and most importantly taste is authentic. Like most of the outlets this outlet too has the same vibe. Must visits if one is looking for some bengali delicacy at reasonable prices.

Uff the taste of authentic Bengali cuisine was finger licking good 🤤😍. I went there with my friends to give them my birthday treat. MENU :) Polao 10/10, Sada vat ( basmoti rice 🍚😌), Mutton kosha 9/10 ( Jive jol asche Bhai 🤤), Chicken kosha (perfect balance between spice and sweetness) 😀 Dal of the day (motorsuti diye mugdal) 😋, Chutney of the day ( khejur er chatni)🙇🏼, Aam er chutney 7/10 😃 Alu bhaja ( quantity is enough for 2 people)🫂, Bhetki fish fingers (8/10) 🙂 Go ahead and enjoy your meal vai 🥹😍 Note :- every meal on their menu will not be available for every day. '_' Be ready to hear from them that a particular dish is not for u as if -.."NO that's not available or sesh hoye geche" and then you'll figure out which family is sitting beside your table ( they came later) will get THAT PERTICULAR DISH on their table served by them. But I personally love the quality of their food so despite being humiliation I will go there to eat that 😆 Now you know what to do.

Got the chance to try out Indigenous Bengali cuisine from this beautiful restaurant. The foods were mixture of both sweet and savory. We ordered Rice, Aloo Posto, Bhetki Paturi, Chingri Cutlet, Maccher Chop, Dal( Begali style - forgot the name), Dim curry and Misti Doi. It was a wholesome lunch I would say. We started digging in with the Chingri cutlet and Maccher Chop. They were Crispy and toothsome. I loved both. It was time for main course, had rice with dal, crispy fried potato( Jhuri Aloo Bhaja), Aloo posto, Dim curry and Bhetki Paturi. Bengali style Dal was new to my tastebuds. It was lustrous and had coconut bits in it( which I liked). Squeezing lemon to the dal enhanced the flavour. Aloo Posto was another authentic Bengali dish, which was different again. Bhetki paturi is a must try food for fish lovers. Initially, I found the bhetki( my first bhetki experience) little smelly, but got used to it with my second bite. I loved the taste of kasundi in it. Coming to Misti Doi, I have eaten misti Doi before in packed plastic container. Finally, I had the privilege to try in it's original form i.e the Matkawala. The place was peaceful and well maintained. Staffs were cordial and swift. Totally satisfied with the food and services provided. If u r new to Kolkata and looking out for authentic Bengali cuisine, then this is the place.

Just loved the place. We were dying with hunger and this place came as a rescuer. Even though it was 5 at the evening which was already too late they served us whole heartedly. The items were delicious and the hygiene was also maintained. The rate is a bit high but the food worth every pennies of it. The fish items deserve special mention. If you are near this place and thinking for a quick bite then this place is good to go.

Had a really good time here. Been wanting to try good Bengali food. Everything served was tasty and rich. Tried Bhetki roll, Ilish Bhapa, Mutton Dhakbangla, with some rice and naan, and mishti dhoi to round it of. Quantities are small. Id say one main dish per person. The prices are high, but if you consider how rich everything is ( Bhetki roll is a starter which is a boneless piece of Bhetki fish stuffed with a dry shrimp curry, rolled and batter fried. I mean come on) it felt justified ro me. Good service, pleasant inside. I now intend to home order copiously from this place.

Although some of the menu choices were not available we enjoyed our meal here as always. We started with a delicious prawn cutlet (must try) and then we ate plain white rice, moong-masoor daal, alu bhaja (they didn't have their mochar chop or vegetable chop today which is generally awesome), bhetki paturi and then we wanted to have murgi jhol but instead had to opt for chicken dakbunglow since the murgi jhol was not available. We didn't pick any dessert today but from past experience they have good desserts to try. Tip: if you are opting for a chicken dakbunglow or mutton dakbunglow then go for Basanti Pulao (they are well known for it) and please do try the prawn cutlet (I'm sure you have had your fair share of normal fish fries)

One of the most Popular Bengali cusine in the city and now it has opened up many branches in other cities too. They cook real authentic Bengali food. Their fish fries are must try . Staffs are very happy to help you with all kind of information about the foods. One thing I didn't like about the portion they give it has to increased abit if I take one full plate it's not sufficient for two persons. Their chanr danla is amazing. And Sukto is just perfect. As a beverage you must try their rupasibangla a mocktail made with gandhraj lemon . And of course nolen gurer ice cream should be there for the desert without a miss. Its get open by 12 noon and on till 11.00 night . Lovely ambiance and decorations. I love their Bhojohori Manna painting . You can reach the restaurant easily by getting at gariahat more and walk down the lanes next to sreeniketan . Nearest landmark is Murlidhar Girls school and or Hindustan club puja .
