Always wanted to try this one and finally went in for some hogging. Located on the streets of Fort, this one will spoil you for the food choices especially for Italian cuisene.

It was really very sweet and soothing. The Oreo flavour with additional chocolate was on point!

They customised it for us with additional vegetables of our choice. It's not that spicy(we wanted it to be plain) but really yummy and because of its thin and crispy crust we actually enjoyed the flavors more.
HUMMUS with GRILL PITA š§
It took me back to the Arabian flavours.. Hummus had the perfect Turkish touch and was one of the best hummus I tasted in south Bombay. I would give it 11/10, it was that good.
The ambience is cool and calm with some plush interiors. Staff was well mannered and the service was prompt. Comfortable seating arrangements with soft music playing in the playground makes it a place where you can relax and enjoy the meal with your friends and family or even plan a date!

Nobody serves Penne Paprika like Basilico. My most favourite and trusted cafe for good food. I wish they come back to Bandra soon.
One of our favorite restaurants in the fort area. Especially love their shawarma and chargrilled rawas. Lots of options on the menu. Nice ambience and usually can walk in without a booking and get a place right away. Pricing is also reasonable.
This place never fails to disappoint us ever. I am loyal basilico customer and enjoy my food everytime. Everything in the menu is amazing.. never had a bad experience. Also they sell fresh breads which are sold at the rack in the restaurant.

During one afternoon decided for lunch to be in Colaba and walked right into Cafe Basilico. Two of us were in for a treat, the ambience is soothing, relaxed and serene. The heat outside was just forgotten with the Cucumber Cooler which was perfectly blended with Cucumber, Mint Leaves and obviously Ice. The mains were ordered and the two dishes that reached our table were the Chargrilled Veg Lasagne and a custom order of a Steak Medallion Medium Rare. The Lasagna was a perfect entwine of flavors between the Lasagne Sheets, the four cheeses and the mix of vegetables. The Steak was done just right as requested for, where as the mashed potato was found to be a little bland and could do a little more with seasoning as per my taste but overall, the steak along with the Garlic Mushroom Pepper sauce was the winner for a divine set of a meal fit for a Hungry Meat Lover like me.
For the desserts we kept it light with the Chocolate Muffin and the Red Velvet Cake. Again an excellent choice which really ended the meal with a sense of satisfaction.
All in all I would definitely recommend Cafe Basilico to all who would like a brilliant, quiet meal with amazing service paired with the right ambience! My rating is 5/5.

The first thing you'll notice when you enter this quaint little cafe is an wide range of freshly baked bread. Well, we didn't taste any during our visit but sure to grab some the next time we dine here. The pizza we ordered was on of the best I've had in a long time. The harissa chicken with couscous was fabulous and finally the dessert was an indulgence that makes us quite guilty š.
This is a very nice looking place and attracts a very good crowd. Seating is cozy and comfortable with good service. Food and beverages are good to try specially mint lemonade and ginger lime cooler. So refreshing for summers.

Wining point- Good food . Peaceful , quiet ambiance. The employees are aware of the menu and knows the detail of almost every dish.

Whining point - saw some kids creating ruckus behind the cash counter. This in turn was delaying the service time as the employees were busy controlling the kids in hush hush way. Assume the kids belong to owner/ relative. Not sure though.

Recently had a chance to visit Cafe Basilico in town, one of the lanes of Colaba Causeway. This tiny lil joint is a gem, they serve a lot of variety of be it Chinese, Thai, Italian or Balinese food.

We decided to start with Humus with Pita Bread - healthy & yummy, followed by Special Veggies Salad with Olive Oil & Lemon Dressing - the flavour of lemon dressing was just outstanding along with the peppers & veggies. For mains we called for Balinese Curry with Rice - the curry was delicious, filled with veggies cooked well in coconut curry. The unique spicy tangy flavour of the curry was just perfect.

Elaborate menu, lavish desserts, decent place to chill out . Extremely neat n clean, this eatery is located on Apollo Bunder road close to the Radio Club. The parking may be a bit of an issue in case u are driving a four wheeler. Seating inside and outside is available. The staff is polite n friendly, and the interiors have been well planned.

I heard about this cafe from my friends who used to live in the neighbourhood. Last night we were there for quick dessert. The place is quaint and quite beautiful. I liked almost everything about the place. Today I got to know that this place is owned by Ayesha Takia, and it has whole vegan menu. And the interesting part is the produce of ingredients is sourced from Farhan Azmiās farm. They use vegan cheese and vegan mayo in their servings. I heard their vegan breakfast is so delicious. Basilico is a quaint comfy continental cafe in Colaba.
It's a great place to go for lunch or for a date night. We've tried a couple of dishes and have never been disappointed. The cosy ambiance with the hot food is perfect in this weather.Ā
We ordered:
1. Tomato Soup - the tomato soup was perfect in its texture and was served hot. It had the right amount of flavour and was served with a piece of garlic bread which completed the dish.
2. Steak - We chose the make your own steak. Since they donāt have the lovely T-bone steak they used to on the menu we chose the beef medallion in garlic mushroom sauce. The steak was cooked well and the sauce really complimented the meat as well as the mashed potato. The only complaint with the dish was the portion size has become smaller than before while the price has gone up.
3. Blueberry Cheesecake - The cheesecake has been extremely popular at basilico and it has stood the test of time. The blueberries werenāt overly sweet and the cream cheese was light fluffy and airy. I only wish the crust had been more crunchy as I love a cheesecake with a crunchy base.
Its the best place ever. Love the food the variety and the ambience. Just a suggestion pls have Zomato Gold and also pls keep one restaurant in Bandra too.
I dont remember what we had ordered, but some of the dishes were Four Cheese Fondue, Lemongrass soup, Hummus with grilled pita, primavera pizza, papeika spiced Roast chicken. We even tried some of their pastries like cheese cake, chocolate belgium. The taste was really good, and the staff helped us to choose the best because of which we had a great experience. The Ambience is also chilled like a typical cafe. I really liked the Menu. I would for surely recommend this place.

Overall the food was really good but they have Jain Options mainly in Italian Food. The Cheese Fondue was the highlight of our dinner followed closely by the pink sauce pasta. Surely going back to try the rest of their cuisines

Right at the end of the Colaba Market, this cozy place serves really amazing food. We had ordered Lasagne and Gnocchi. Both of which were delicious and beautifully presented. The dessert segment is vast and each of the items looked more appealing than the other. So no picking favourites, all are great. The staff is very cordial and we had a great dinning experience.
If youāre looking for a relaxed yet fine dine experience then this place might be the one for you.
We ordered non vegetarian Mediterranean platter which was great with all the sauces and vibrant presentation.
The risotto had just the right flavours , nor bland neither strong.

The dessert was carrot cake . The sugar was loud but the cardamom & carrot flavour redeemed the flavour.

A nice place in Colaba and delivers tasty food items. I have ordered from here a lot of times and they haven't disappointed me ever. I mostly order at lunch time, ranging across salads and egg based dishes.
Salads is my weakness and Asparagus & Grilled Zucchini is just too good. The grilled zucchini and mushrooms with loads of fresh and crunchy iceberg lettuce is a real treat. The asparagus on top is like an icing on the cake. This can be had with either a creamy parmesan or balsamic vinaigrette based dressing.
Other thing I like are the egg dishes served here. It's really well done, the way I like. On top of it, these can be had in various combinations like with cheese, veggies, etc. and that too in different styles. I personally love the omelettes.
Overall, the experience has been very satisfying, every time I have ordered food from here and I would surely recommend this place as a must go.

I have been visiting this place for years right since Moshe was initially a part of them.
Their coffees and desserts are yum ( try their Jamaican blue mountain or Brazilian Santos coffee).
These days I visit them for their breakfast . The chef provides a customised sandwich of scrambled egg whites with green chilli stuffed in between two slices of bread with grilled chicken .
For lunch try their risotto ( mushroom with grilled chicken ) . They also do some delicious burgers .
Overall great food and service .
Food and something filling was required couldnāt think of a better place then this. The pasta sauce was amazing the taste of paprika with the cream made it divine. The Quattro Formagi Pizza with Jalepenos was delicious and light and didnāt make it feel as if there was four types of cheese in it. The Churros was very nice, hot and crispy and with the Nutella was like the icing on top. ā¤ļø
Good service here is a constant which is really nice. The staff are very courteous and pleasant. Atmosphere is now and relaxed.
Had lunch here yesterday with a friend. We ordered a water melon juice and banana milkshake. Both were really tasty.
To start we tried the Humus and Pita bread. It surely lacked flavour. Was not my favourite.
For the mains we tried the Tangliatelle with Wild Mushrooms and the Grilled Chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. The sandwich has a very nice sauce that holds the dish together, a little spicy and flavourful. The pasta was delicious! Mushrooms seasoned so well, I would surely recommend trying this dish for a pasta lover.

They have some delicious breads and confectionery should you wish to just pack some and move .

Their organic tomato soup is one of the best I've had for a long time
The pasta is a fairly large portion and is a regular meal for the child .
I totally recommend the caffeine free tea infusion.

Good quality food with a nice laid back ambience and competent staff.
Returned here after many years to realise that they seem to have retained the quality of their food ( which we loved back then too) but seemed to hav much less business than they used to. However, that worked nicely for us as we were a rather large group with kids- and we turned up without a booking.
After promptly taking over 25% of the area without gang, we went on to order a whole host of things and I must say that every single one of them were good.
The mezze platter for starter, saffron risotto with prawns and gnocchi were all stand out good.
Dessert was lovely too.
Would definitely recommend this for people who enjoy a calm ambience with great food.
This is a cute little place in Kala Ghoda almost on the end of the Causeway. The place has Valet Parking. It has a great ambience , lit just enough.
The service is great too , the servers are kind and prompt.
I got a chance to just try their Penne Paprika Pasta , which is pretty great. Their sauce was a little runny and the pasta could have been cooked just a little more , but it tasted well .Ā

We visited this place for dinner and were completely taken by surprise since this place has made a lot of interesting changes in their menu as compared to earlier times.
They have introduced some interesting range of small bites , curries , pizzas , pasta and much more . Must say , the variety of food was great and had loads of options to pick from.
This place offers comfort food with a sophisticated twist in a vibrant and pleasing ambience .

1) Roast Organic Tomato Soup - If you love soups this is surely going to make you happy. By far the best flavours used to make a tomato soup simply taste fantastic .
2) Hummus with grill pita - So fresh . This place has a bakery which sells breads and related products . So any item in bread will be very fresh . The hummus paste was just on point and when you have it you just know that the ingredients used to prepare the hummus are top notch quality .
3) Falafel and Labaneh Sandwich - Looks so appealing that we were confident it would be so tasty . The perfect quantity of exotic vegetables with nicely toasted bread . To make a tasty sandwich a lot depends on the selection of sauces and let us tell you it was simply great and perfect . The seasoning and flavour with the right mix of vegetables made the dish taste yum
4) Classic Cold Coffee - This place offers a great range of smoothies , juices , coffees . But we tried the simple cold coffee . The right blend of sugar and coffee is hard to get at times.
Chief Foodie Officer - Some places are so perfect just because they do not compromise on the selection of chefs , ingredients , quality and hospitality .
This is one of those places where you order anything and you will not be disappointed .

Cafe Basilico- Bistro & Deli is located in Colaba, I visited the cafe in December after an event in college with two other friends. The cafe gives off a warm Italian feel. The ambience is cozy and warm. The place had good service and reasonably priced.
The food was enjoyed by all of us and we'll definitely visit and reccomend to others

I love this place because of the food and the ambience. The food never disappoints and its so easy to have endless conversations without any interruptions. My friend and I meet here often. Tried a couple of things on their menu but my goto dish is the Spaghetti Bolognese. It has a good mix of cheese, chicken and spaghetti. You cannot go wrong with this combination! My friend usually has her vegetarian Risotto which is also delicious. Must visit if you are in Colaba :)
Sometimes consistent, sometimes not. Having said that, weāve had some of our best meals here. The fresh juices, the burgers, the salads are all extremely delicious and well packaged even on take away ! The desserts - amazing selection! The fish and chips is a must try!!!! Had their egg benedict which was quite good not exceptional. Egg preparation and sauce was great but the potatoes accompanying them just destroyed the mood. Desserts were great. The gooey chocolate just melts in the mouth- awesome!

I love to come here. It's close to home and has a quaint and rustic feel to it. The food is good and when I look around the restaurant I see that everyone seems to be enjoying their orders. However, the service staff are a bit lax. There are always around 4 staff who all seem to be huddled behind the POS machine instead of moving around the tables to check on the guests. I always order my fresh lime soda first, however on three occasions it always came after the main course was served and after repeated reminders.
This doesn't deter me visiting everytime I am in Mumbai. I would recommend this place as the food is really consistent in quality and taste. Prices are.reaaonable.considering it's in South Bombay.
I love the salads and soups and also the fish and meat dishes. The deserts are to die for and we always end up taking one to share to soothe the sweet tooth !
I Will definitely up my rating if i find the service staff up to the mark on my next visit. Good tasting food, consistent in quality and plating adds to my satisfaction level when dining out. It's a sum of all factors.

I have tried their Hummus with Grill Pita, Primavera Pizza, Chargrilled Veg Lasagne, Three Cheese Gnocchi, Mac & Cheese, Cafe Basilico's Basil Chicken & Rice, Oreo Cookie Shake & Mud Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream. Each of their dishes were well cooked. The ambience is quite small but perfect to grab a bite with your friends after shopping in Colaba market.
Cafe Basilico is one of the many cafes that lie in Colaba. The ambience is very cosy and it feels very exclusive. The prices are on the higher side. We ordered the Lasagna and it was one of the best that I have ever had. Do try it. Coffees are also huge in quantity and definitely worth it. Would recommend if your wallet is full and you want amazing food.

One of the only places in Mumbai with vegan cheese!!!! The vegan pasta was so delicious and very customisable. The vegan pizza was really good too! We had the hummus and pita, the roasted vegetable pasta, the mushroom aglio olio pasta and the vegan margherita pizza. All were really yum. Would recommend for vegans!
We ordered tomato basil soup, risotto and creamy paprika pasta. Service was quick. Taste was really good. Definitely recommend this Cafe if you visit colaba. There was no rush during lunch hour on a weekday.

This has become a staple place for me every-time I visit Colaba Causeway. It is easily accessible and the food here is simply delicious especially their mud pie brownie. Good and healthy food, service is good and fast. They have great variety desserts, I have got a chance to eat some desserts. Seating area is small but nice. I really loved the tea, desserts was too sweet but yummy. Nice place for dates and small groups. Must visit if you are in that area.

Located a 5 min walk from the Taj palace, they serve lunch, dinner, fresh baked bread, coffees, desserts, and more. Its pleasent, laid back, modern, air conditioned, and clean interior is a welcome respite from Mumbai's streets.
Once inside, you get the feel that they probably have 'good' food. But they outperform that assumption. Their food, overall, is excellent! Well prepared and flavorful, their chefs definitely know what they're doing.
If you like Moroccan, I'd suggest the lamb tagine - not an authentic tagine mind you, but their own tangy twist instead, which turns out delicious; the lamb (which is likely mutton), is tender like butter and plays perfectly with the vegetables - comes with couscous or rice. The mushroom sauce for the steak (water buffalo, not cow) is delicious and if you've never had water buffalo before, it tastes 95% like regular beef. The hummus and pita - some of the most delicious we've had after 3 months in India!

After several days in Mumbai, this turned out to be one of our favorite places.
Very nice milkshakes. Had the regular cold coffee which was perfect and Banana milkshake which was perfect too, not too sweet and perfect thickness.
Worth the price.
Went here while we were on our way for a drive to Gateway last week. Was really in good mood for brunch, hence we decided on this place. It's a very cute little place where you'll get good food served on your table!
What we ordered:
* Cheese Fondue (4/5) : The texture of the cheese served with bread crumps was perfect.
* Qyattro Formaggi & Jalapeno(5/5) : One of the best pizzas we ever had. It had mozzerallaparmesan, emmenthal, cheddar,gorgoanzola, bocconcini with jalapeno.
Must visit place if you're in Colaba.
A nice cute place in the midst of all the crowds and noise nearby. They serve amazing breads and just the cheesiest pastas to go with it. Value for money and this ambience is just so darn adorable.
I had an excellent experience visiting this gorgeous cafe. Havenāt had a chance to eat anything but the coffee we had was simply excellent.
This cafe is located just a short walk from Taj Hotel or Gateway of India. The neighbourhood is quiet and green.
Seating area was clean and spacious enough.
Cafe seems to have opened recently (after lockdown) hence the collections of pastries and cake was less.
We ordered cafe latte (regular) and Americano (hazelnut flavour). Last time I have such good hazelnut americano was when I was working in South Korea (without any exaggeration). It was strong, flavourful and sweet at the same time.
On request they reheated the coffee as we sat there for over an hour.
I saw some of the snacks and food that were coming out of the kitchen for other guests and they looked delicious enough š¤Ŗ
If you are staying in colaba or around that area, this place is nice to hang out and get rejuvenated.
Shall be visiting again.
The menu is the same but there are qualitative changes. Like the Mediterranean platter is bigger and better. The dessert options have reduced but their bread options have increased tremendously. So it's good
