This small restaurant is located at the backside of Sri Siddhi vinayak temple and is a great choice for a meal or a quick bite if u r hungry while around that area and dnt wanna have a vada pav bt something more north Indian/punjabi.
We tried their chole bhature which were gud and decent portion size... What stood out the most is their mango pickle that they give along as it is absolutely authentic north indian style mango pickle and not the store bought pickle.
Their pani puri is also typically Delhi style gol gappa and nt the flavour of pani puri u gt here. Also it is made frm bisleri water hence the cost is high (50Rs fr a plate)
Overall, a nice little place and quite hygienic to have a tasty north Indian meal.

Finally a chaat place that reminds you of Delhi chaat taste😊!
Have only ordered food from here so far but has been totally on the mark.
One advice - pack all the liquids to be added later - that will enhance the experience and help stuff to remain crunchy.
Pani poori - yum can do with little more sourness in the pani
Dahi papdi chaat - full marks
Karare aloo Tikki - 101/100

Amritsari Chaat has one of the most amazing chats in town - it is amazing! One of their unique dishes include - Cheese Mayo sev puri (sounds weird, but trust me it's yummy). If you are around prabhadevi, you must drop by for a quick snack break. Also, they have yummy lassi as well.

This place has limited seats but packs a punch in its food to offer..apart from the Pani Puri n papadi chaat which is delicious..I found the aloo kulcha to be the best so far that I have tried..not even in Amritsar would you get a texture and taste like this.. believe me I've had in Amritsar and they are nothing compared to this place..the food doesn't give u a heaviness feel or any issues after.. looking to go again soon..best kulchas really!!

Amritsari Chaat is one of the hidden gem located in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Be it Chaat, Chhole, Soya Chaap, the taste will give you Delhi vibes. In the picture is Dahi Papdi Chaat and Bun Tikki Chhole. Needless to say both the dishes were delicious. But the thing which are not captured in picture are the Soya Chaaps served by them. They equally (or may be better) as good as Dahi Papdi Chaat and Bun Tikki Chhole. The most important thing which you may notice if you visit this place, are its owners. They are courteous, polite and know how to treat their customers. If you find yourself around Dadar/Prabhadevi area, do spare some time to visit this place.

This place is nice for people who have to try punjabi cuisine items and stuff but for me the experience was quite mixed.
The dahi papdi chaat had too many mixed ingredients and i couldn't like it though people who accompanied me said it was good.
The pani puri was not spicy and just pani and puri. The masala which accompanied the pani puri was not too good either. But yes it was fine.
The restaurant staff were very well mannered and even gave extra pani puri to my small brother😅😁.
The owner himself was taking care of each and every person there. The hospitality was good.
If it was just for the food I'd give 3/5 and for the service 5/5 location 4/5
And yeah the pani puri is served in mineral water😃.
Some people say it's just a marketing scheme but even if it's true atleast it allowed me to have those pani puri after few years😋

I was wanting to go to Punjab for 'authentic chole' dishes. And I landed at this place behind Siddhivinayak temple. Instant prasad it seems. The owner suggested us 'Karare Aalo Tikki with Chole' and it was so the best I could have asked for. Crispy tikki with tasty chole and the chatni's blended so well. Decent service.

The menu seems to have many other fancy options, will try time in my next sureshot visit. Thought, it does seem a little overpriced to me.

PS : It's a very small place, hence, you may consider home delivery or take away.

This place is a hidden gem!
A small place near the back gate of Siddhivinayak mandir serves really good punjabi snacks.
Must try:
1. Chole Longi Bhatura - this dish is very filling. Absolutely delicious. It comes with mint chutney onion and mouth watering punjabi pickle.

2. Chatpate Soya Chaap

3. Cheese Paani Puri - Yes, it is such a unique dish and they make it so well. They fill the puris completely with cheese and bake it till the cheese melts nicely. Then it is served to you with teekha and mitha pani.. you will love this.

4. Dahi Bhalla Chaat

Overall the food has a great taste and the owners are very hospitable. They deliver food through zomato, swiggy and ubereats and their packaging for delivery is very neat.
One of my favourites in Prabhadevi.

when you order Chhole bhature on takeaway..there is an acceptance that the bhaturas will be a bit soggy and well not crunchy..they will be folded and crumbly..so you take your time and have that second leisurely Saturday lunch beer..then you open the belt and begin eating...as you lay out the Chhole, ras wale aloo, mango punjabi pickle ..onions and still crunchy and warm bhature...you tend to slip into a food coma before your first bite...the smells are bang on...karol bagh is bustling outside..the first bite and the transformation is complete... you almost regret not having ordered some lassi...beer is forgotten... absolutely delicious. Saturday afternoons are never going to be the same again..

If you want one of the freshest Pani puris and sumptuous aloo chat and shikanji this is the place to go. We always stop over here after darshan at Siddhi Vinayak (it's walking distance from the maidan entrance). Though a small place, it's run by a warm and homely group of people. We've tried the Pani Puri (imagine a cool tangy and slightly minty Pani with a larger than normal crunchy puri), samosa chat (better be hungry for this one as the dahi is quite rich and complements the crunch and masala of the samosa) the chole puri (for those looking for that home made taste). For the adventurous try out the Sev puri Sandwich (two of our all time favs) washed down with a refreshing tangy shikanji. One of our favorite places especially in the summer.

3.5??? This is one of the most authentic North Indian Chaat place in all of Bombay. I have tried their chola bhatura, tikki, dahi papdi chaat and soya chaap. All tasted absolutely amazing, just like you would find on the streets of Delhi. You have to try their aaloo tikki. The crispiness and the flavours. Mindblowing. Can’t believe people are not raving about this place. Way better than Guru Kripa or any other so called chola bhatura place in Bombay, which are nothing like Delhi. Please try their food and improve their rating.

The issue with opening a chat establishment is that people always compare you with cheaper road side alternatives. Proving more hygenic food is necessary but doesn't always guarantee success.

Amritsari Chaat does the trick with some unique varieties and great cuisine. The place has minimal seating and is much slower than traditional roadside Chaat eateries.

We ordered a dahi papri chaat and an aloo tikki Chaat with choley. Both were delicious and something that one doesn't usually get at most Chaat places. It had some other varieties which looked interesting , especially the Chaat platter that I'd like to try some time.

Ordered the shikanji and chaas for drinks. The chaas was nice. The shikanji was okay, very similar to masala soda .

All in all this is a good place and I'd like to come here to try some other items .

Nice and cozy place to satiate your craving for good north indian chaat. Move aside the boring vada paos and misals.. bring on the tikki, papadi, bhalla and pani puris.. once your appetite goes up fill ur stomach with chaap and chhole kulche. If only they could get the authentic kulche from north .. they make up for the lack of seating space with some smart arrangement of stools and folding tables. . Very neat and clean topped with homely courtesy a place that I'd go again

If you belong to North India and you are missing the authentic street food of North India, you need not worry; Amritsari Chat is at your service. They serve food which tastes like the ones which is found on the streets of Delhi or Amritsar. Coming to the question of authenticity which is obvious but that also has been put to rest by the management. One of the partners, who manages the Kitchen, belongs to Amritsar and procures most of the spices from there. The kitchen also staff hails from Amritsar hence they don’t have to told how to prepare the dishes in the authentic manner. This place is located on the road which leads to the rear entrance of the famous Shri Siddhivinayak Mandir. It at a stone throw distance from the famous Rachana Sansad. Coming to the food, almost all items are drool worthy and to die for. PAANI PURI: For those who don’t like the Mumbai version of Pani Puri which is stuffed with Ragda [boiled white peas] or sprouts, this is the place for you. These guys stuff the puri with a mixture of boiled potatoes [boiled & cut into small pieces], black chana and sev. The Paani used is also very distinctive and unlike the one commonly available in Mumbai. They use Imli water which is sour [in Mumbai, they add a bit of Khajoor to the Imli hence it is sweet]. The spicy water is really spicy to the core and is the everlasting flavour of the dish; both are served chiiled from via a dispenser; some sense of hygiene instead of dipping the hand in the pot or vessel. ALOO TIKKI KARRARI: When the Tikki was being prepared, the aroma of it being fried in Desi Ghee wafted through the air and hit my nostrils. They use VERKA Ghee for preparing the Tikki; Verka is a very famous brand of Ghee and one of the best sellers in Punjab. They could have used locally available Ghee which could have led to a slight change in the taste due to the difference in the quality of milk as compared to Punjab, so to maintain authenticity they opted for ghee made in Punjab. True to its title, the Aloo Tikki was Karrari i.e. crisp to the core as you get up north. It was stuffed with a mixture of boiled urad & chana dal, black salt, chaat masala & chili powder. It served topped with sweet chutney, spicy chutney, some mayonnaise & onion juliennes. SAMOSA CHANA: A crispy Samosa, prepared the way it is done Up North. It was served with a Chhole / Chana which was a garam masala based preparation hence it was dark / blackish in appearance instead of red gravy which uses tomato & onion paste. The Chhole were soft, yummy to taste with right amount of spice and had retained their whole shape inspite of being boiled so well. This dish was also served with the similar topping as the Aloo Tikki. DAHI PAPDI CHAAT: This dish needs to introduction and was prepared to perfection. In addition to the regular ingredients like crispy Papdi, potatoes, onions & chutney; they also added a nicely soaked Wada, made of Urad Dal. It was topped with sweetened Dahi and garnished with pomegranates. SOYA CHAAP: I saved the BEST for the last; this was the best dish that I had during my visit here. Soya Chaap is the vegetarian version of the Kebab, is equally nutritious and prepared in a similar manner. Soya Sticks are slightly cut across their width and are marinated for an hour or so in a gravy of ginger, garlic, fresh coriander and onion. It is later grilled in a tandoor to give it a perfect finish & flavour. Served with a side of chutney, mayonnaise & onion juliennes. RECOMMENDED Service is fast but some dishes [like Aloo Tikki]s take time to be prepared hence we can’t hold that against the management. The partners attend to customers personally & very courteously. They are personally involved in the kitchen as well. Price wise also this place is pretty decent, some dishes may seem expensive but for the sheer quality & taste factor, I would not hold it against these guys. If Chaat is your weakness then you should visit this place on the double. You will visit again is a guarantee!
