Excellent restaurant located within the Taj Hotel to grab meal. The only restaurant in the hotel that doesn’t require reservations. From the moment you enter the hotel lobby, you experience the customary gold standard Taj customer service that extends all the way into the restaurant experience. Kudos to the staff for really making us feel at home. My kid loves to have Garlic Aioli with his fries, and even though that’s not a menu item, they prepared a small quantity for him. As we were still jet lagged from our travels, we went with some dishes that were relatively simple. The thing about the menu was that they didn’t necessarily have anything that I would term gastronomically innovative or gimmicky, but everything on the menu is prepared extremely well. The menu contains comfort food from around the world to cater to all kinds of tastes & palates. All the dishes we had were good, and they had some special coffees which were nice (tried the Mint Cappuccino). All in all, a five star experience throughout.

I had an amazing experience over here. From the moment we walked in, the staff's hospitality was remarkable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The taste of food was impeccable.Unlike some big hotels that often mess up the essence of simple dishes, this restaurant nailed it. We thought how will Taj’s street food dishes will taste and there we ordered a ragda pattice and omg I didn’t expect it to be so good.It was a delightful surprise to find street food taste combined with utmost hygiene. We also ordered Kadhi pakode rice and also had some snacks and they were also awesome.Ragda Pattice from this place made such an amazing impression on me because I have seen many big hotels ruining the taste of street food.It was a memorable dining experience.I also had tea time breakfast another time I visited which I felt little bit expensive comparatively.

Since it is a 24hrs open place, it is always a life saver when you have to spend nights in sobo. The food here is amazing, though there are not that many options at night. However, the coffee is too good and they can serve you any coffee item in just a few minutes of wait. The ambience stands up to the hype and the brand name of Taj.

Food tasted amazing and quantity was also sufficient. Ofcourse the prices are on the expensive side. Services is top notch and also the ambience feels any other restaurants.. We ordered veg food : 1)Paneer tikka : 5/5 perfect balance of spicyness, came with pumpkin seeds and raisins in a sweet and sour dressing, which complimented the paneer tikka. 2) Chole kulche : 4/5 another almost perfect dish the only thing i didn't like about this is that it wasn't a little spicy. Other than that it was amazing. 3) Veg stew : 4/5 a sweet main course came with either roti or rice. 4) Sugar-free icecream: came with 2 large scoops. 5) Forest fire (Mocktail) : 5/5 everything in it was perfect. Overalls : Food - 4.8/5 Ambience - 3.5/5 Service - 5/5

We went to Shamiana The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel for my Birthday Dinner. No need to mention the Ambience and Hospitality of the Taj Hotel. The moment you enter you will start enjoying courtesy and Respect. We chose Shamiana as it was in the lobby only when we entered. They have a first come first serve basis arrangement. No reservation system. Shamiana Restaurant was beautifully lighted, simple, and spacious. They had a chair and couch seating arrangement. We ordered Vegetable Stock Soup and Yam and Chestnut Kebab in the starter. Soup was served hot and refreshing for us. Starter Kebab was the perfect choice. It was served with Chutney and the combo was super yummy. It was light and same time filling for the stomach. I recommend Shingade Kebab. In Main Course, we had Malai Kofta with Butter Naan and Multigrain Roti. Malai Kofta was flavorful and the gravy was not too sweet not too spicy. It was served with a pickle and onion salad. Quantity was pretty good for two. Must try it. We were served by Aarti and Divyansh. Service was quick and the staff was attentive. The only thing was Menu had fewer options for vegetarians. If they can add more food options then it will be great. The overall food experience was great.

When i looked up for review for this place i only read bad reviews about it. But still i thought to listen to my gut feeling & give this place a shot ! And i was taken aback by the ambience , the service . The staff here is so polite & always greeting you with their warm smile. Talking about the food. The margerita pizza is a must try thing here . It not your regular indian style pizza but sutble flavours of the perfectly made fresh sauce , thin crust & the cheese . The mocktails here are regular but very refreshing flavours. We ordered qalia mutton with naan breads & fish amritsari . Qalia mutton was little less spicy to my palate but flavoursome . The naan breads were something like i never had before . It was way different than your regular naan. Last but not the least do not miss the icecream here. It is their signature dish here. I bet you wouldn’t regret ! Prashant surprised us with a complimentary small cake & a box of inhouse chocolates as it was my birthday . It was a sweet gesture Dont be fooled by the reviews . This place is a mist visit . Atleast Once in a lifetime thing if you live in mumbai ♥️
