If you intend to eat Maharashtrian home made sea food this is a place to visit. This place has no fancy decor or sitting but one thing is Guaranteed that is authentic food. Food is appropriately priced and the menu is sorted. One thing that I would recommend is Bombil fry, kombadi vade and Prawns biryani.

Heard quite a bit about this place and hence wanted to try out their lunch thali's. A very busy place and understandingly the service also was very quick. A apt place if you are looking for typical Maharashtrian Thali lunch. Good place to try out for sea food lovers. Not a fancy restaurant with elaborate decor and seating. Very limited space but good value for money, very economical.

Great food. Good quality and quantity. Quick service. Less than 10mins waiting time, even during peak hours. Pocket friendly. Best for the last: "UNLIMITED SOLKADI AND RASSA".

This no-frills lunch home is quite close to my office, and finally tried it on the last day of 2015. Expect nothing except good Malvani food. Went there with a colleague and straight ordered a fry surmai thali and a fry pomfret thali with bhakri. The thali consisted of 2 rice bhakris, fish curry (no pieces), fry fish (the surmai thali had two fry pieces while the pomfret thali had a decent sized whole pomfret), a portion of rice and solkadi. The bhakris were luscious and the fish curry perfectly Malvani with a hint of tanginess. The fry fish was nicely crispy fried. We also ordered a jinga fry masala which was mildly spicy and had a lot of jinga in it.
Absolute value for money for about 180-190 bucks a thali, that too with unlimited solkadi and fish curry. Service was quick too. We were content at the end of our meal.

A great place for malvani food lovers. Fish fry Thali is best that you can have here. They also have paya soup if you wish to have it vut only on certain days of week. Place is a bit congested and sometimes you will need to wait. Sitting is confined and small. Ambience is not very great but the quality and taste of food is mesmerizing. The taste of food will make you forget the ambience. Service is okay. The rates are really affordable and i think its the best in nearby area. Really impressed with their quality, taste and rates. It's a must visit place for all sea food and malvani food lovers.

Good Place For Typical MALVANI seafood!! They also Serve Chicken and Mutton option! Mutton Paya Soup is available in the evening time. Ambience wise it is a small place. But taste wise it is great experience. Tried Paplet Thali which includes Pomfret Fry +2 Bhakri/Chapati + White Rassa (curry)+Red Fish Rassa+ Soulkadhi+ Sukha Jawla (Small Dried Shrimps)+Rice. 1 Thali is sufficient for one person. Also Ordered Bombil Fry (Bombay Duck) which was also deep fried, Tastes good. Overall Good Experience! Note: Can have waiting issues in peak Lunch/Dinner hours!

Very good restaurant for Non Veg food...Small place but good taste... the food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. The waiters were attentive and service overall was good... Great food at a great price! Love the fish plates as well as the salads.Parking was not available here , you suffered through a long wait for your table. But love to go here with friends and family members..

This is one of my favourite places in Mumbai for Malwani food. I always have Bombil (Bombay Duck fish) fry thaali -- includes four Bombils fried crisp, two rice bhaakris, red curry, solkadhi, rice and onion+couple of lemon wedges. They give extra solkadhi and curry. Keep in mind that the red curry is a little spicy. Their other fish thaalis are good too. So is their Bheja Fry. I'd recommend this place to tourists who can stomach a little bit of spice and love non-vegetarian food, as they offer other meat dishes too.

Nice small hotel but a really nice. If you have a best home made food then definitely visit hotel Sawantwadi. I really enjoyed a nonveg dish in affordable price. Taste is very nice. It's located near curryroad (w) railway station. And below lower Parel mono railway station.

This hotel heaven is for authentic non-vegetarian specially who is looking for sea-food at cheapest rate. You will get fish like poplet , suramai, bombil(Bombay duck) , mandeli , crab etc. You either get them fry or masala(Malvani). This place have only 4-5 tables. The prices of food is very affordable. Even bill of three people will amount less than 500 hundred. You will get rassa and solkadi as much as you want for free.
