Mahlzeit is a small outlet which can accommodate 4 to 5 people at a time. Nice place and good food. The classic kebab sandwich and paneer salad was delicious. The hospitality was very good. If you want to try something different then go to this lovely place. German food in Mumbai
I have never eaten German food/Berlin food. I have been to bandra so many times but never been to mahlzeit. This place was introduced to me by my partner who loves Doner kebab.
And I must say it is totally worth it. The place is very small. Don’t expect large crowd sitting. But they have managed to have good sitting condition.
Doner kebabs is the heart of this place. I have uploaded image as well if the food. Seasoned meat stacked in the shape of an inverted cone. And yes it tastes awesome !!!

I ordered chicken and paneer doner kebabs from this place and it was good. The filing consisted of veggies and chicken/paneer. The bread covering looked like a tortilla wrap. I think they can do better with packaging. Looking forward to visiting this place.
The place is quite small yet cozy. The food they serve is very unique. I absolutely loved the chicken donar kebab and chicken schnitzel. The sauce they serve here is very different and absolutely lip smacking. The service is quick. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the potato salad that came with chicken schnitzel. All in all it was a good experience
Ordered food from here. The schnitzel burger was amazing. The patties were a bit thin but great taste. Salad was really good. Salad dressing was the right amount. A bit more chicken would have been better. But taste wise was great.

Mahlzeit - Berlin street food.
Mahlzeit is a small cafe located in Bandra Pali Hill, which is the only place in Mumbai that serves German street food. Mahlzeit is a German word that means “Enjoy your Meal.”
Mahlzeit's main attraction is their variation in Sausages (Wurst, they call it in German!).
That's the place where Berlin Street Food is served.
Mahlzeit serves amazing Döner kebab and Bratwrust as I mentioned earlier.
You can also have Schnitzel, Hotdogs and lot more!!
Talking about the ambience, it was cozy and comfortable. It’s an ideal place for grabbing quick bites. Going through their menu, there are 4 types of Döner kebab (Chicken, Beef, Pork). And for vegetarians there’s Paneer and Bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes) Döner kebab. So, all of these are Turkish-German combination of Classic Döner Kebabs.
And then, there’s a special Döner Kebab with Indian tadka: Butter Chicken Döner Kebab and for vegetarians Paneer Makhani is the available option.
So I decided to have Butter Chicken Döner kabab.
And Döner means kebab in German. And here to add a different taste they served butter chicken in a bread pocket with salad and sauces, that is similar to Arabian Shawarma or Greek Gyros.
My first bite fekt like an Indian Tadka in a German way! It was lip-smacking!
Food rating- 4.5/5.
Next, I order combination of sausages; Currywrust/Bratwurst Mix.
These two are available as two separate dishes in the menu too. People who like to try both can go for this dish. So you get two sausages in one plate; Currywurst cut in slices, topped with special Berliner curry sauce and Bratwurst cut in slices with caramelized onions on top. Both served with German style strong Mustard sauce alongwith bread toast, crispy fries and their secret dip!
Currywurst was moist and juicy and Curry sauce was Tomato based. I would give a 4/5.
Bratwurst was properly roasted which had a smoky flavour and the sweetness of caramelized onion added different taste to it. I would givea 4/5.
Then, I order Schnitzel.
Schnitzel is a non-veg cutlet, deep fried and served a slice of lemon along with cold potato salad (or Kartoffelnsalat!) . Plating was simple and attractive, served with spiced mayonaise and BBQ sauce. There is a way to eat a schnitzel, just take a small piece of schnitzel along with cold potato salad and just let that flavour burst in your mouth!!! That’s the proper way to eat Schnitzel.
PS: Dont forget to squeeze the lemon!!
Food fact :- Germans are also known for their cold potato salad which can be seen in mahlzeit's menu!!
And this gets a 5/5!
If you want any cold beverage you can go for 'Club Mate' which is a non-alcoholic fruit beer. This is mostly preferred by the younsters in Germany
I would give a 4/5.
The Chef at Mahlzeit recommended to try their Hotdogs. So we ordered 2 hotdogs: Chicken and Pork. Both were served in same style, bread with English Mustard sauce and sliced pickle topped on it.
Both sausages were juicy and tender from inside and properly rosted. But I prefed chicken more than pork because I love chicken the most!!!

Since we discovered Mahlzeit, we’ve eaten here once a month if not once a week, and we’ve been visiting since they opened shop! The recipes, quality of ingredients and freshness is unparalleled - customer service has always been great - and yes the space is small but cozy. As a family of three (with a toddler) we all have our favourites at Mahlzeit, and I know without a doubt that we’ll leave always 100% happy and satisfied. It never occurred to me to write a review for my neighbourhood favourite haunt, but after seeing some really stupid negative reviews, I felt it was time to step in and say try Mahlzeit! (P.S. We’ve recommended it to a ton of friends and families who absolutely love the place too)
Get your Supreme burger here!! One of the better buff burgers in Bandra , definitely coming back. Chef Amit got the German street food perfect.Even the Chicken supreme hot dog is super, tried the Veg Bratwurst too ! Oh and don't forget to try Berlin soda.

If you want to taste authentic German food in Mumbai, then this is the place you should be at! Chicken Schnitzel which is basically thin chicken breast piece is really good! Squeeze some lemon onto it & enjoy it with your favorite sauce! Butter chicken doner is simply one cannot miss from here! The flavours are really amazing & the quantity too is good!
The food is really reasonable and super filling. The drinks are reasonable too. It's a small cozy space, with some delicious comfort food. Must try the Classic Doner Kebab (the bread is delicious and so is the filling which is mainly fresh salad and chicken), and the Supreme Pork Hot Dog (pictured).

German food has been on my mind lately and we decided to try this place and I can assure you it was not a disaster! The first dish that we were served was the beef supreme burger and I am in awe of the taste! It came along with a side of fries and I have never eaten fries that crispy! They were incredibly yum and addictive. It was served along with equally scrumptious dipping sauce! I ordered the bratwurst hot dog and I loved how it was presented and so filling! I could taste the sauce and caramelized onions along with the cheese! We also had the doner kebab which was yum but by then I was so full, it's a shame I couldn't finish it. The entire meal was so fulfilling, for your stomach as well as your heart.

CLASSIC DONER KEBAB! This is what you need to eat at this German street food restaurant! Delicious with each and every bite you take, I highly recommend this dish.
I also tried the Schnitzel Burger and Vienna Style Schnitzel. The schnitzel was okay, very thin, and didn't look too exciting.
But the donors are absolutely worth it!
Berlin street food is a small place located at Pali Hill. The place is nice and cozy. The food here is very delicious.

The hot dog is a go for. Very yummy and juicy. The chips they serve is crispy.

This place took me by surprise. A random find on Zomato led to this cute little place hidden away. Had really good brathwerte and currywerte. The highlight was different kinds of donner wraps.
This is a wonderful little place in Bandra. The Donner Kebab is the prima donna but do not miss out on the Schnitzel as well. Bratwurst and currywurst made from some of the best sourced sausages. Perfect caramelised onions with dishes make this joint the best german food you can have at great value. Kudos to Anuj and team for the wonderful job they do!

And a plate of Tenderloin Schnitzel.
The Currywurst is one of the better dishes over here. I thought the ketchup curry would be sweet. But it had a decent amount of heat and tanginess to it. Would definitely recommend this over the regular Bratwurst.

The Schnitzel had a distinct flavour that I'd not tried before.
It has a very light flavour so you definitely need to have it with the sauces given.
The potato salad served with it was way too bland. It would've probably tasted better if it had more mayo and if it was cold.
They really need to work on the ambience though. Very tiny place. Just three tables lol. Can seat 7-8 people at the most.
It's a new kind of cuisine, the taste might be familiar but the combinations are great. I've tried a lot of dishes here and the best one has to be the Doner Kebab. The chicken and paneer, both the Doner Kebabs are brilliant. It's basically a pita bread pocket with a lot of filling. The garlic sauce that comes along is also amazing. It's also value for money.
Other than this, the hog dogs are great.
The bratwursts are supposed to be a delicately but the quantity is really really small. It's not even proper for a starter. These are just sausages cut up into small pieces and served with fries.
The place is also very small. Can barely seat 8 people but they deliver so it's good.
Ignoring this, the burgers and other dishes are amazing and even a value for money.
Would definitely recommend to try the place out! Great food!

Being a vegetarian, I had my reservations of going to a German restaurant for dinner. However, my fetish for food made me visit this tiny place in the lanes of Bandra near Carter Road.
Paneer Doner Kabab: Chucks of Paneer, house mayo and some very delicious sauces in a bread pocked make this one a winner. The panner was nice and soft, and the sauces were top. Overall a no non-sense paneer doner. I would not change anything in this dish. Rating 4/5.
Paneer Burger: Again a paneer patty with mayo and sauces, onion, and the usual burger stuff. This is is served with flat fries on the side. The sauces were slightly different from the doner. Again no complaints. Would not change a thing. Rating 4/5.
Bratkantoffein: These are fired potato slices with caramelized onion and some flavours. Nothing special, but tasted perfect. Rating 4/5.
Club Mate: This is a caffeine based fruit beer. You probably will take a sip or two to get used to the taste. But then you would want more. They actually import this from Germany. Rating 3.5/5.
The service was quick. The one person serving the food was friendly. Greeting with a smile. There are just 3 tables so it makes the place very cozy and cramped. But the good food more than makes up for it. Definitely try if you want to try something new and different.

A very small joint with only 3 tables, because of which seating can get a bit uncomfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful in terms of order selection from their unique menu which is heavily influenced by German cuisine.
We had the following dishes to eat :
▪️Chicken Döner Kebab - A pocket of bread filled with Grilled chicken which was shredded to small pieces and salad along with some slurpy sauces which added the spiciness and flavour to it. Chicken was nicely cooked and succulent. It was a bit messy to eat, but the yummy reward was well worth it..😍
▪️Chicken Bratwurst - The hero of this dish was the grilled and cut Chicken German Sausage laden with scrumptious Caramelized Onions. The amalgamation of these two in our mouth was the real deal..🤤
Crispy golden fries on the side were the perfect accompaniment. Mustard sauce had the right amount of kick in it and the dipping sauce was yummy. All in all a fabulous plate of food..😍

I don't think you get German food anywhere else in Mumbai than here. So kudos for trying something different. The döner kabab was awesome. Loved it. Small and a cozy place. The only thing I found not proper was the cooking oil used in fries. I found it difficult and a bit smelly. I dont think it was an Indian branded oil so maybe I didnt like it. The burger I ordered was really good as well. The club mate was good too.
The best and probably the most authentic German food. So much so that the sausages are imported from Munich. The doner kebabs are amazing and the staff is extremely friendly. Can’t wait to go again

German cuisine is a rare find in this city. So I was more than enthusiastic to discover this tiny eatery in the by-lanes of Bandra that serves authentic street food from Berlin.
Mahlzeit, literally meaning mealtime, is a Germanic greeting to wish one a happy meal.
I started with my favourite from the menu, the German original Wurst (Sausage) dish & a bestseller here... Bratwurst Hot Dog. While they recommend pork, I opted for the chicken sausage which was super juicy & the hot dog topped with caramelized onions, gherkins & mustard is absolutely delicious to the core.
Next up was the Vienna Style Schnitzel where you're served 2 crumb-fried fillets of chicken or tenderloin with German potato salad & dips. The Chicken Schnitzel is pretty average &, honestly, lacking in taste. Better to give it a miss!
And finally, I ended with the yummy Turkish-German speciality Döner Kebab which comprises of a bread pocket filled with grilled chicken, assorted salads & sauces.
This is a very pretty little neat cafe. The food is delicious, especially Tenderloin and Pork preparations. The staff is extremely helpful in choosing what to eat as well. If you’re a first timer here you’ll absolutely love the experience. Non veg lover? Bonus!!

At the table We ordered Pork Currywurst, Original Doner Kebab (potato) & some green side salad
The doner kebab had some fabulous flavours, the bread was very fresh and the serving style was just apt.
The green side salad was a bit of a let down..I was expecting some leaves etc. but it was more cabbage (regular & purple) and probably lettuce with tomato & cucumber - I was not a fan
Though I did not try the pork hotdog but it was very well loved on the table !
It’s a tiny place with about 3 tables & the fact that they accept Zomato Gold is a plus! (I would come here even if they dint have it ;)

Stumbled upon this quiet place on Pali Hill yesterday. It's a small place with only 3 tables serving a small authentic German menu and some drinks. We had the Chicken Schnitzel Burger and Beef Doner Kebab. The burger came with a side of fries and a sauce. The sauce was to die for. The Doner Kebab was amazing too. Beef kebab and salad stuffed in a pita bread which was oozing with the dressing. My only complaint is that the meat portions could've been a bit more in both the dishes and the service can improve too.
Fabulous doner kebabs! Glad we tried it out today, we are hooked on. The place is small with around 3 small tables, but the food makes up for it big time. We had the buff and the chicken doners, which come loaded with veggies and the sauces in a pita bread. Perfectly seasoned and the fresh veggie crunch lend to a great meal! I was quite surprised to find this gem in one of the bylanes of Pali Hill. What they lack in space and set up, they more than make up for it in food. We ordered the chicken schnitzel, currywurst, chicken burger and doner salad. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the highlight was the doner salad - loved it!! “Mahlzeit!” was opened way back in 2015 with the first outlet in Koregaon Park n Pune before launching their second outlet in Bandra. A brainchild of Berlin-born Milan Pal and one of the 3 brands promoted by Pune-based Relocation and Hospitality firm, Prelocate. Inspired by the German word also used as a greeting, even though it literally translates to “meal”. It is the short form of a more archaic salutation “Gesegnete Mahlzeit”, which means “blessed mealtime”.
Here is my 2 cents on the dishes served to me :
✴️Turkish Beef Doner @Rs300– Do the doner indeed!!!! A highly recommended dish for this place and its best had with the red meat. A bread pocket stuffed with generous beef tenderloin, veggies mixed well with a blend of sauces. Too good. (4.5/5)😘
✴️Schnitzels @Rs350 -The thin, crumb-fried schnitzels were crisp, served with two sauces and a side of potato salad. The schnitzels were good and complimented well with the sauces. But its nothing extraordinary. (3.5/5)😁
✴️Currywurst @Rs290 - Chunks of pork sausages came doused in a tomato-based curry sauce and served with fries. Good but nothing great. (3/5)😊
✴️Club-Mate (@Rs290) is a caffeinated carbonated mate-extract beverage made by the Loscher Brewery and is distributed solely by Malhzeit. It's pretty good and worth a try.😁

The diner is pretty small with 3-4 tables. The service is pretty good with the average order time around 10 minutes. Thanks to Zomato gold, the dishes and the quality of the meal are definitely worth your dime.
Final Comments: Located in the same vicinity as the Ever-popular Imbiss (which is also located in Bandra), Mahlzeit will find it difficult to set itself apart for its competitor. The Doner and ClubMate beverage is the only 2 standouts here and would recommend anyone to try these out. The rest are good but may not deserve a recall.👍👍

Ever wondered what German street food tastes like? Well stop wondering and head straight to this place located at Pali Mala street. Not much of interior or decor to speak of, this place is "all the food".
The person there recommended that we try Club mate, a mate extract carbonated beverage. A famous German beverage, a must try for all beer lovers. We ordered their Bratwurst to start with which had pork sausages chopped and served with a topping of caramelized onions along with a small serving of fries. Next, we tried their chicken meatballs salad. The chicken meatballs were topped with some delicious curry sauce resting on a bed of finely cut veggies. The combination was simply one to die for. Lastly, we tried their chicken döner which was sort of a German sandwich stuffed with grilled chicken and sauces plus veggies of your choice.
This place has chicken/pork/beef option for most of their dishes. So we would recommend this place for some authentic German street food which is also easy on the pockets.

" at Pali Hill, Bandra.
Everything we ordered was simply great. It keeps up to its name. You really feel u are eating at a local street food joint in Germany.
Must Haves : Chicken Doner Kebab & Chicken Hot dogs.
Their Sausages are out of the world. Never had such great sausages before. As informed by the service guy, they get the sausages specially made here through a German guy.. out of the world.

Finally decided to actually visit this place. Located in a small bylane, Mahlzeit is a small little setup with only 3 available tables. But that doesn’t stop it from being as great a place to eat as any other.
We ordered 3 dishes:
1. Chicken Schnitzel: One order comes with 2 well cooked schnitzels with a cold potato salad and 2 dips. Everything about this was great! Perfect crunch, great dips and the salad was just perfect.
2. Chicken Doner: When brought up to the table, it looked so yum stuffed to the brim in a little pita pocket and we wanted to dig in right away. When we did, we were not disappointed. The perfect creaminess and chicken to veggies ratio makes it just so yum. Definitely going back for this!
3. Bratkartofflen: Peppered and Buttered potatoes tossed in caramelised onions served with mayo. Can one even ask for more?
The comfy setup added to the experience. Definitely going back here for more. Possibly a pork doner next time?

Loved the bratwursts and coilwursts - can have them in a hot dog or just straight up, along with fries, house salads. Not a big fan of the currywursts due to that ketchup gravy, personal preference perhaps.
Their German style batter fried potatoes - MUST try, one of the best form of potatoes I have had!
Their beef and chicken doners are also great, although can get a bit messy.

Currywrust was something of a decent experience with the not-ketchup gravy and chips.
All said the place is one to visit if you want to try something new.
Prices are somewhere between affordable and hiked ( the place is in bandra xd)

Fairly ok. We ordered a chicken schnitzel which was not that great. It was too thin, chicken döner kebab was good, the classic one, not the butter chicken döner. Otherwise a good place for a quick bite, the staff is friendly. Maybe I expected more because I've had the real deal, I lived in Germany for 2 years and in Berlin for 6 months. For people wanting to try German street food, it's a good start. If you can serve some German wheat beers, that'd be great! Cheers and all the best!
Having garnered a love for authentic German street cuisine during my Euro travails, I wanted to check this place out. I’ve been here a couple of times over the last 3 months and have become a big fan of their fare! Be sure to give their Currywurst, Brautwurst, and Döner Kebabs a go. Thou shalt not be disappointed! It’s a tiny place that can’t accommodate more than 8 folks at a time, but the excellent food and fantastic service make it worth the effort and money! Alles gute!
A classic take on german street food. The schnitzel was super crunchy although a little dry on the inside. The showstopper was the sausage with their curry sauce. Sausage tastes amazing and is a must try!

First thing first... The food was simply amazing!! Went with their man's suggestion and ordered Doner Kebab... that was bread pocket filled with salad, paneer and mayo! actually licked my fingers while having this... Other dish on the table is Bauernfruhstuck🤐😌 (cant even pronoun this😂) This is what they mentioned as a farmer's brrakfast! Loved it... basically its fried potatoes with caramelized onion served with mayo dip! 😍
Asked for eggs separately... was delicious.. 😋

A very small joint with only 3 tables, because of which seating can get a bit uncomfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful in terms of order selection from their unique menu which is heavily influenced by German cuisine. We had the following dishes to eat :
Chicken Döner Kebab - A pocket of bread filled with Grilled chicken which was shredded to small pieces and salad along with some slurpy sauces which added the spiciness and flavour to it. Chicken was nicely cooked and succulent. It was a bit messy to eat, but the yummy reward was well worth it..😍
Chicken Bratwurst - The hero of this dish was the grilled and cut Chicken German Sausage laden with scrumptious Caramelized Onions. The amalgamation of these two in our mouth was the real deal..🤤
Crispy golden fries on the side were the perfect accompaniment. Mustard sauce had the right amount of kick in it and the dipping sauce was yummy. All in all a fabulous plate of food..😍
Fresh Lime Soda - Nice refreshing drink to help gobble up the saucy and meaty food that one is going to enjoy here.

Mahlzeit is an absolutely brilliant new addition to Bandra. Only 6 months old, it's located in a small charming and very cozy streetfront property in Pali Hill.
Dishes Review:
1) Club Mate: Sort of like a German version of Red Bull. This one's a must-try. I really lived washing down my meal with it.
2) Chicken Schnitzel: A well done German streetfood delicacy. The meat was nice and chewy, covered in a crispy batter of bread crumbs.
3) Chicken Supreme Burger: The burger was great but nothing you won't get at other good burger joints at the city. And it had more of a Mediterranean influence rather than German as we were reliably informed by our host.
4) (Best for last) Döner Kebab: Oh. My. God. I can't put into words how amazing it was. It was something completely new, for me. Absolutely DONT miss this when visiting.
Other Notes:
We were attended to by the owner of the place himself, Milan. He took good care of us and helped recommend dishes etc He also has a great German accent which you'll love listening to 😂
All-in-all a great, economical place which I'm definitely gonna visit again with my friends.
It's seldom that I rate places so high but if you want true German food in this area this is the place to be at. Amazingly done food and not at a super premium price point.
Do try out everything on the menu at least once. You'll not be disappointed.

Have you ever heard a German say “Mahlzeit” and wondered what it meant – sitting down to a meal perhaps or sometime around the middle of the day? Why should they be reminding me it’s a mealtime :P
Well! Mumbai gets the evergreen authentic Berlin street food right from Pune to Bandra – Mahlzeit Berlin Street Food. Hiding in the lanes of Bandra, this outlet gives you a perfect feel of a local yet trendy beach shack serving some amazing food.
It is a simple place with a nicely paved seating area outside and enough room inside for about 6 to 8 people to sit on low soft sofa with décor pillows. I presume they are looking at more of a takeaway and eventually home delivery business.
Mahlzeit serves Buffalo meat burgers, chicken burgers, tasty Doner kebabs (vegetarian and chicken in a thick home-made bread pocket). That’s not it! Germany’s oldest brewed non-alcoholic caffeine drink CLUB MATE is in town too. We were a bit skeptical to visit that the outlet masters in Non-Veg cuisine but you must trust us that we were left in awe to try their Veg treats.
What we were served – Veg Wurst, Paneer Doner, Paneer Burger, Bratkartofflen and Club Mate
Veg Wurst – Veg sausage made from soy (mock meat) served as Currywurst or Bratwurst with French Fries on the side. We substituted French fries with Bratkartofflen (fried potatoes). Tell us if you’ve had mock sausages before and we guarantee you that you must haven’t had the best in town – the best of Germany perhaps ;)
Paneer Doner – Grilled in-house bread pocket filled with grilled paneer, mixed with salad and two sauces – yogurt and tangy red sauce. Don’t worry for its low taste only because the blandness perfectly blends with the taste of the dips. Have it on the go or just take it home. Shout out to Doner pockets! #ZomatoDebut
Bratkartofflen – German style butter fried potato slices seasoned with black pepper, paprika and caramelized onions. A subtle alternative to French fries and we’re liking it.
Club Mate - caffeinated carbonated mate-extract beverage made by the Loscher Brewery. It is an exclusive beverage beloved of people of every age – contains very low level of sugar, has positive influence on the neural system, improves metabolism and concentration and is extremely effective against body fatigue. At Mahlzeit, the menu is brief but its authentic. We are already in love with German cuisine as how they perfectly cook potatoes, be it cold or deep fried, how they make sumptuous mock meats keeping in mind the vegetarians and not to forget, how they make such refreshing non-alcoholic beverage.

The owner was very polite and helpful and helped us get the best available. The place is small but nice and comfortable. Food was delicious! Doner kebab and hotdog is a must try! The bacon burger was also good.
A hole in the wall tucked into the less traveled lanes of Pali... Interesting food even though the sausages were kinda off teeny weenys 😜.. Seats about 5 pax max.
Had the doner kabab(beep) - sour dough bread pocket filled with fresh veggies, beep and sauces. Unfortunately my camera sucks and I don't have a pic.
Also tried the Bratwurst/Currywurst mix - a mixture of their German sausages(pork of course) with a small portion of home fries... And again no pics cause of a sucky ass camera that decides to blur out images after it saves them.
The restaurant is a tiny hole in the wall with seating for 8 and plays lovely ambient music. Nice place for a quiet date (I had the place to myself... So....)
Small place with hardly a seating for 8 people. That makes it ideal for conversations and lone time with good food. Ambience is cozy and food is good. I felt the taste was a little like subway but overall experience is nice
The food is delicious.. I had chicken doner kebab and chicken currywurst.. It reminded me of my time in Berlin.. The taste is exactly the same as it was there..
Get your Supreme burger here!! One of the better buff burgers in Bandra , definitely coming back. Chef Amit got the German street food perfect.Even the Chicken supreme hot dog is super, in the picture a Veg Bratwurst too ! Oh and don't forget to try Berlin soda.
Loved the place. The food is just delicious and lipsmacking.
Shop is kind of small and there is not much seating. But the food is great. Good portions and lots of flavour.
