This is good old restaurant from husband's childhood. As he has good memories there we went aft many years(m 1st time). Its quality is maintened, cleanliness is maintened.
We had Veg Cheese shahi curry & Paneer kadhai, which were awesome in taste!
The prices are little high but as per area and quality its fine no problem😋
Overall nice place.
One of the oldest restaurants serving authentic North Indian food in the residential area of Malabar Hill
This restaurant doesn't have any fancy looks like the typical restaurants of today but if you are looking at some amazing paneer makhani or a simple yellow dal then this is the place
A typical family restaurant, would definitely recommend it for pick up and delivery of authentic food at home when you want to have that authentic North Indian food
The paneer biryani is one non missable on the menu!
The Sun, is still, in my opinion, the best Punjabi restaurant in Bombay, it has been consistent for over 25 years that I have been going there and despite its extremely small size it really delivers big. The menu is fairly traditional and relatively expensive but a lot of the dishes are executed in their own unique way which thankfully hasn't changed over the years.
Start off with a stash of poppadums while we wait for lunch to begin. Â The Chana Masala was decent and it was the first time we ordered it, the navratan korma was its old sweet spicy self. The Malai Kofta to rule all Malai Kofta dishes worldwide. For all the years I lived away, this was the one dish in this one restaurant that signified home. It's just so uniquely done and has such a unique flavor, it will imprint itself in the taste center of your brain, never to leave.Â
The Small neighborhood restaurant continues to kick major ass, we have been loyalists every since it opened and continue to do so. A lot of people who have been here agreed. I don't write about it much since I don't want it to get popular at large.
They have a branch at Breach Candy, which I have oddly never been to.
Used to be a pretty decent restaurant, now lost its charm. Punjabi food is good but service and ambience is a turn off. Go only if it's Sunday as you will get place.
I had a very sweet experience at this place. This is a quite place. More of family restaurant. I love their parathas. Service was a bit slow, well I visited them at odd time 😅. But over all its a nice place you can give it a chance
I love this place, the paneer makni and naan is just perfect. You must try the Red Princess, it's jeera rice with cutlet and gravy, the gravy is very delicious, if you live anywhere near this place you simply can't miss this!
This small place is nice with a homely feeling for a good family time. It's a tiny little place but offers good Indian food. We had the paneer and kulcha and it was a place I actually liked north Indian food.
Lunch at THE SUN!
Red princess biryani!
It is rice topped with tomato gravy and 2 vegetable cutlets! Its a must try for all! Have been eating this since childhood days and it still tastes the same!

Been around for ages.. Preferred hangout for gujjus and Jains of the area.. Food is average.. Nothing special.. You can go to try it once if you looking for a change..
This is an absolute favourite place and I have literally grown up eating at this place :P :P ....I simply love the food here ....It has limited items on its menu but none the less every item is authentic and superb i taste. The MUST HAVES at this place is the yellow dal, cheese n veg shahi curry, moghlai kofta and biryani 999. All the dishes are cooked with the perfect amount of spices. I would suggest that instead of the naan and tandoori roti go for phulkas ...they serves hot-off-the-tawa phulkas which tastes so yummmm...... I simply love this place and can go there n no. of times...!!! :D
Been here many times as a kid...so my opinion would be slightly biased..considering the nostalgia. :)
All veg punjabi restaurant. Branch of the one at breach candy. Excellent food.. One of the old restaurants. Food tastes yumm.. Its all veg so a complete family place as even elders love to eat there. Food can be ordered in too. Nice paneer makhanwala, Mix veg sabji, garlic naan. Starters are good too.. Simple place for a small family gathering.
A nice restaurant for jains. It servers simple and homemade food. A must try is the paneer makhani. It is also popular as actors like darshil safari have come. A must try for all the jains.
This is the second branch - first one is at Breach Candy. Excellent vegetarian North Indian restaurant since many years. Still as consistently good over so many years. Everything is good especially the Cheese Shahi Kurma, paneer makhani and aloo paranthas. This place is a favourite with Jains as they don’t serve non- veg and have a lot of Jain preparations
Simple basic yummm Punjabi food. Clean place good service. Comfort food. Love the fact that it's full vegetarian!!
A great place for the food, but not so much to have a sit down dinner. Love the garlic&cheese naan!
It's a vegetarian restaurant with good Jain options.
Nice place to have something.....
