Best place to chill and have some good booze and good food without burning your pocket.
We were almost 7 to 8 people drank good and ate hell lot but the bill didnt cross 4k.
Super staff,humble till the time you dont prick them,crowd is also decent and pricing is killer.

We were here with some local friends of ours who are a fan of this place. We ordered fish chilli with prawns fried rice.The food was absolutely delicious. The fish chilli tasted just like homemade . The service took about 15 minutes , but, no complaints there since the food was good.
Good place to chill and quiet sometimes. Service is bit late. But food is good And cheap. Bit shady place but nice crowd. friendly staff. Very crowded on weekends.
Good place for alcohol lovers... It is a local bar near 4 bunglows... Food is average... Should try lolypop tandoori style and hyderabadi biryani... Rates are quite high compared to the ambience... It is open till 2
If you guys are known to Gokul, Janta etc Shankari is in the same line. Its a BAR guys so match your expectations accordingly. Simple as that. Alcohol is reasonable. Food is nice. Try the Chicken Tandoori Lollipop... Juicy and spicy.... Fish fingers... Tandoori chicken has to be good in every bar and Sukha chicken... Staff is always watchful of the tables occupied by women. They have expats visiting the bar at times so basically people from all backgrounds visit shankari. Also for all those who are worried about smoking in the AC section . I had a similar situation and to my surprise i was guided to the NON SMOKING AC SECTION very efficiently. YES THEY DO HAVE ONE. ( 6 to 7 Tables ).
Cheap alcohol and kind-of-shaddy bar with classy crowd. Visit if you're short of money and want to drink till your wits end. Come here to pre booze before you head out to that club!
If Janta, Quarterdeck, Maple, Gokul, Laxmi are your jam, then don't think twice before going to Shankari. 500 for a whiskey quarter, along with a smoking air conditioned seating area with cosy tables is great for an unwinding evening and conversations. And here's the deal clincher - they have wafers on the chakna menu - which is only the best chakna ever (right?). Crowd is young too; mostly working professionals. If you're unlucky, you might bump into someone loud in the adjacent table.
The Indian food is good but I'm here for the booze. the fish fingers are good. The rates are good too. Staff is ignorant though. But still thumbs up!

Served with good food stuff
This is your shady looking local bar which serves good food and cheap alcohol. Looks very shady when you enter, but is a different world when you walk up to the AC section, much like Gokul at Colaba. Their meat preparations are good, and so is their Chinese. Complete paisa-vasool!

This place is great for basis comfort food. Lovely dal khichdi and tandoori fish (pomfret/bangda). They are also very prompt in terms of delivery and very professional on the phone.
Shankari- where legends are born. It's a bar (cheap booze). All kinds of males come here. There is an outer section which is non A/C and an inner section and there is a smoking air conditioned section on the first floor. This place is always crowded.
The food is better than I expected it to be.
The staff is friendly. I don't care for the ambience.
The Janata bar of andheri. Don't let the exterior fool you. You can have cheap alcohol and smoke in the account. Don't expect too much... Sasta sundar tikau
Cheap alcohol, decent starters, and you are allowed to smoke in ac section. What else would u need! :p . schezwan chakli with your drink is something new i tried here as a 'chakna' and loved it!!
Okish food could be a better place needs better hyginene but overall i like the food and the pulav is very good non veg food here is good so go and try
This is one of those typical road side bars. The crowd here will be 90% guys and most of them would be regulars. The food here is good - panner tikka specially was what i liked.
Drinks are cheap - thats the best part and tv will be playing whatever u want - football match,hindi songs.
You may chose to pre drink here to save a few buks :)

Insane place. Cheap booze, good food. Would have given 5 only if the ambience was somewhat better and those old songs weren't there. Otherwise perfect !
If you are really tired after office and need a drink or two in peace - this is the place to be. If you keep going here you will notice that the people coming here everyday are almost the same. Cheap drinks, cheap food, dim lighting, smoky rooms along with a old crt TV are the things that define the place. This is the place where great conversations, stories and businesses start.
The best hangout place in the whole of Andheri not only because the drinks are reasonably priced but the food is really amazing ...........this restaurant can give any restaurant a run for their money on food. Yes not to except too much on the interiors but people dont really come there to admire the ambiance its mostly flocked by the pple who are catching up with friends over some good food and liquor.
Returned from US after 2 yrs and 1st thing i craved for was my moms Fried Fish and Shankari's Butter Chicken and Dal fry Tadka.

Ah, Shankari. What can I say?
It's cheap, it's available, it's not particularly good for health but you know, given that stress is such a leading cause of all kinds of disease, nothing de-stresses you like a good long bitching session about your boss in the warm, dim, slightly noisy and extremely rough-edged interiors of good ol' Shankari.
Do not come here in a suit, and do not come here on a date. Do not flash your awesome new smartphone around, or the thick (or thin) wad of cash in your wallet. Come here to spend some quality time with your good friends Old Monk, Royal Stag, and Romanov. There will be no cocktails, and the beer will be strong. And some deadly chikkan-chilli, and chakhna. If it's also raining, that's even better.
And yes, there is food, if it gets too late to go somewhere else (this situation will happen more often than you think) and while you might bitterly regret it at 3 am or the next morning, right now it will taste so good, the way only something really bad for you can. Go home and take a digene, drink a lot of water. The hangover may be epic, but the memories, years later, far more indelible than any standard pub or sports bar.
And if you're in the first few years of working, in a sales or deadline-heavy job, then for the last week of the month Shankari will be your best friend.

Decent chakhna. Cheap prices. And food is pretty good. There's this dish named Chicken Karela Kebab which doesn't have an iota of karela. Just that the dish is shaped like a karela, and probably greenish in color. The light is quite dim to make out the green.

This place is much bigger which can easily accommodate nearly 100 people on the both floors. Service and Food quality are good. Rates are much more competitive. This place is situated on Main Link road where getting an Autorickshaw is much more easy.
Decent place, has outdoor dining space set up but since it's on the inner side of the space, don't expect a great view or anything.
Good food, didn't get to visit the kitchen since it was late.
They serve late night as well so that's a perk for people with late shifts.
Service could be better, it wasn't understaffed, but they won't longer around the tables much long. Privacy is one benefit but calling out loudly disturbs others.
It's okay bar for relaxation and privacy but if you don't mind compromising your privacy it's a great place to be some friendly waiter and inexpensive items are available including alcohol....
Shankari is a local bar, a lil shady but a good bar. The place is good for people who are open minded / have an agenda to booze only and won't worry about the kind of crowd around them. I don't mean that the bar doesn't have a good crowd, sometimes the localities can be a lil loud that's it. Good food, good service and good alcohol is what this place offers.Not too many options available but the ones available should suffice. Excellent place to get your inexpensive drink-on!! Essentially a bar premises with outdoor, indoor and AC seatings... All items on the menu are mouth-wateringly exquisite, especially the tandoor seafood dishes!! Perfect place to go with your guy gang to have a great time.

One of the best Bar-Aani(And)-Restaurants in the Andheri West area. It's a little better looking than your typical quarter bar (called so for they sell hard drinks by the nips too) and the food is much better than the usual cheap bars. The prices are decent for its category and the crowds on most days are friendly and comprise young people and a lot of film industry people. It has separate smoking, non-smoking and non-AC sections with very little variations in price. Try the Roasted Chicken Chilly (black sauce), Tandoori, Butter Chicken and of course, Dal Khichdi. Plus Tandoori Pomfret and the veg/non-veg spring rolls if you have more time. Auto-rikshaws are usually available till late outside.
Open till 1-1.30am. And yes, one of the few quarter bars where you can go with girls.
