This hidden gem is located under the skywalk at Nana chowk Opp to firestation. Nothing fancy about the ambience as place is congested. But this joint is all abbout tasty food to snack on. Behold Misal Pav lovers this place is for you. Ordered Poli and misal. Misal is stuffed with batata bhaaji topped up with farsan and rassa on the top. Additional rassa is provided. Also had Rava dosa which was unexpectedly the best rava dosa I had. With ample stuffing. My Papa use to come here often back in the days so had to visit here and am glad I did. Unfortunately didn't get time to click snap as I jumped on to the food like a bhukad as soon as it was served on the Table. Finished off with the cutting. Will definitely visit when I will be in girgaon at nanachowk.
Crumbled place ... sharing tables but it doesn’t matter !! What matter the most is the taste ... good food ... good staff !!
Vegiterian restaurant. They serves many authentic traditional dishes and they are speciallist in rassha polli. There batata wada is also tasty with the coconut chatni they serve. There overall reataursnt is small but there is authentic maharashtrain traditional taste to there food.
This is an amazing place to visit for someone who loves Misal pav...a must try if you are around..I have also tried Dal khichdi which was tasty as well also it was as good as something homemade.
This place is a must must visit place for all those who love Misal Pav! Especially, Misal Pav with Batata Wada is the nicest combination. Its a very pocket-friendly place for the type of delicious food they offer. Must visit place for sure.

The American Sev Puri is my favourite. It's basically Puri replaced with canapes. Also the pola usal is very good. Simple ambience with great food.
The staff is very friendly.Missal pav is a must try dish.We had tried sadha dosa it was garnished with coriander. The sambhar curry and chutney is delicious.A must try hotel.
Heaven for someone who loves authentic food . Nothing great on ambience but this outlet is all about serving quality food at less than reasonable price
Pola Misal
American Sevpuri
Most recommended
Good for coffee as well .
Pocket friendly, good homely food. Known for its Pola usal among other dishes. Also the American shev Puri, canapés replacing the Puri. A must try.
Iconic Maharashtrian breakfast joint in Nanachowk serving tasty Pola Usal/Misal amongst other dishes. It's a tiny food stop with around 8 tables but the food they serve is simply delicious. The service is prompt and you can't judge this place on the ambience. Highly recommended if you are in and around Nanachowk.
The misal pav here is amazing and so is the usal. the food here is cost effective and decent quality. the food is also very filling. the place is a bit small and is almost always full. you get a table in a few minutes though. it's a good bargain and definitely vfm
This restaurant is an iconic place at nanachowk serving hearty maharashtrian and South Indian snacks primarily and to give some roundness to the menu they have popped in some punjabi dishes and beverages too.but one comes here to have a quick bite on those lip smacking snacks and piping hot tea/coffee.
My personal all time favourite is the pola usal, suki Bhaji, sheera, rawa dosa to name a few.highly recommended .
Excellent misal pola. Having eaten misal at many places I can say this is the best misal I have had. Spices are just perfect and I couldn't resist and eat till the last spoonful. Must try for misal lovers. Next visit I would love to try upma and other items.

batata wada is another most amazing dish
staff is also good providing good service
can also try american chaat
I heard about this place on one of Marathi channel show.from then I was very keen to visit this place. It's at nana chowk place its small 7-8 table restaurant. I ordered Pola misal which is speciality of this restaurant. Misal is very tasty.i had tried misal from lot of places. Misal suppose to be spicy, but this misal is not spicy but still tasty, quite thick also. Main thing which I like about this misal is pola.which u never get anywhere. Polas were crispy(u can ask for extra crispy Pola). Combination of Pola and misal is yummy. They serve with 2 Pola and 1 vaati(cup) of extra rassa( curry). After eating satisfying meal I was full but not guilty.(as I get feelng everytime after I eat paav with misal)
Overall nice food. Affordable . Good experience.
One of the best place to taste the authenticity of Maharashtrian Food...Misal paav one of the tastiest one here and infact Hindu Hotel is famous for the same...You should also taste "Ghavna"(The Maharashtrian Dosa) with Usaal..That's it...
#peaceout😇
Food is tasty and pocket friendly.
We usually order food at home.. Its great.. Service is quick..
Ambience not great...
But great for the price...
I'm writing this review purely for the amazing misal offered. I've tried & tasted misal pao from Nariman point to Kalyan but this one is special, perhaps the best amongst all Misal pao outlets in Mumbai. Service smooth and fast, a bit crowded normally but pretty hygienic and clean. Kudos.
I'm writing this review purely for the Misal offered. I've tried misal from Nariman point to Kalyan, no misal in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai comes close to the delicacy offered here. I am truly surprised that none of these blogs online on "top places for misal" feature this one, perhaps cause most would be paid. But this one is the absolute king of misals in Mumbai. 0.5 star not given cause of the waiting time and immense crowd sometimes. Superb.
Went to this place with one of my friend. Place is bit cramped but food served was good. Service by staff was pretty prompt. Would recommend to someone looking out to try maharashtrian food such as farsan, pola etc.
Its a no thrills no frills small non a/c restaurant. This place serves everything ie from Dosas - Idli - Pav bhaji - North Indian Curries. But their show stopper is the Pola Misal, visit them for this only and you won't regret at all.
We went for dinner here this past saturday & ordered the following:
1) 2 Pola Misals - Priced approx 55 Rs per plate.
2) 1 Extra Pola
3) 1 Onion Uttappa - Priced @ 70 Rs. We ordered this just to try it out, decent not bad.
Upon requesting, they do serve small vaatis of extra rassa as well. For the 3 of us, total bill came around 255 Rs.
Suggestions:
Go there bit early as they shut down the place by 10 pm.
If you want to experiment with their other food items, you can certainly try it but its a heaven for Pola Misal lovers,
Service - On top.
VFM - Yes.
Quantity - 1 plate is enough for 1 person.
Parking - NO. However, 2 wheelers can be parked on the main road post towing hours.
Nearest Station: Grant Road. Place is below the flyover opposite to Nana Chowk Fire Brigade.
Family Friendly: Yes [One may have to share the table during peak hours]
Yello people!
Whats good?
- Misal Pao is pretty rad here.
- Upma is the tasty as Fcuk. This stuff is never available but make sure you have it in ze mornings
- The 10rs packaged Chaas is amazing, Make sure you dont 'Heelao' it before having (if you know what I mean) The masala mixes with the chaas and it just screws up the taste
Whats okay - okay/ shit
- Masala Dosa is a decent option here for Dosa blowers.
- The American Sev Puri is something you would like to order because we have a thing for white people. Not too bad.
- Samosa is always cold, Okaywala taste.
- The Vada Pav is so bad, I remember crying after eating it.
Hindsight
- A haven for BROKers
- This is the place for people who snot masala.
5 stars are way too less for the amazing misal here
Misal pao is always bae but pola misal is life😍❤️️
Not a must try, make this family. You'll thank me forever
Lassi is decent
Other menu items are also no less than average
GO NOW🙌🏻🎈
To begin with this place serves the best misal pao I have had in Mumbai. The place is small but decent. Batata wada again is really really tasty with the peanut chutney. Then there are other popular dishes like pola chutney, sheera, pulao and many more. One thing I would specially mention is the chaas(buttermilk) they serve is awesome. I have been visiting this place since I was a kid but must tell the their taste has been consistent through years.
A very small & congested place right next to New Heroes Restaurant, Grant Road..Being right under the newly built Skywalk, the place hides in plain sight..You wouldn't even come to know that this place exists..Still it is usually filled with people & workers this small place is known for providing lite & good breakfast as well as lunch/dinner options at cheap rates..The options are limited since its a squeezed up place..They make you share your tables all the time..
I have been here only once to have a Misal Pav..It was good Value-for-Money..I've heard from my friends that you get good Upma & Poha as well..Probably sometime soon I'll try that too!
Recommended: Good old faithful Misal Pav, awesome Pola Usal and for more adventurous taste buds, Pola Misal!
Actually that's All you need to know about this joint. It has a good range of regular snack items along with South Indian food.
Don't expect too much from looks besides cleanliness which is well maintained.
A trusted go to snacks joint guaranteed to deliver great food at reasonable cost.
Cutlets are another dish to be looked for along with Wada Usal.
I've been eating food from here for more than 15 years, and the consistency of taste and quality has never fluctuated.
If you want a blend of tasty amd yummy food and affordable price ... This place is absolutely right for you..!! You'll not even find the same quality in the same region..it's also shown how crowded it can ge...you must definitely try this place !!!
In search of tasty..hygienic..satisfying Maharashtrian breakfast, this is the place to be ! Pola missal, ussal pav, poha, upma my favourites here ! What say Nikhith Amin !
One of the few restaurants, who has maintained their quality of food over the years. Their USP is missal pav which has right combination of spicyness & farsaan. The south indian fare with Mendu vada and sheera are also delicious. They have also innovated in recent times with introduction of American Sev Puri and its tasty too
Light of pocket & fast service too
Small place Not a big town hotel or cafe.
Can't sit with family n friends here. But you can get a parcel. No home delivery.
But good for Maharashtrian Food.
Best American Shevpuri 😘 one of a kind
N must try the Best Pola Misal😍
The American sev Puri is fabulous. A must visit for that. Instead of puris they use canapé to put the filling on. Small but conveniently located next to the steps of the nana chowk sky walk.
Sasta sundar tikao....I go here regularly for my breakfast, sambhar idli n dosa are jus too good...poha and Upma also their speciality..and lastly their TEA,tat sweet flavour of cardamom,is the best way to end ur meal...
Friendly staff, and great food. Worth every paisa.. Misal Pav is amazing. Must go. Very clean, you'll barely see any stains around. Great food

Tried their special pola misal...
Misal was good not bombed with too.much of farsan...pola was excellent ..crisp yet not burnt and non greasy..
Will go again to this place to try their Patti samosa which seems to finish quickly ....
One of the best place for budget food we used to visit one of my college friend shown me this place. You can try Pola usal, Misal pav, Dahi Batatavada, Batatavada usal and many more.
Absolutely yummmyyyyy misal pav.. They are well known for their misal pav.. N the tangy spicy misal is too good.. Value for money.. Have not tried other stuff but their misal pav is worth trying
Excellent Pola Misal / Ussal, light & fluffy Kanda Pohe, great combo of Sheera & Upma, Amazing American Sev Puri, lots of options for a quick meal & small eats if ur in the neighbourhood of Nana Chowk or Grant Road West. But Dont go looking for any ambience.
Easy on the pocket & Great on taste !!!
Best for misal pav and dosa
Don't go by the looks guys, taste the American Sev Puri!! It's finger licking good!
Located at the bustling Nana Chowk area in Grant Road west, you may miss out spotting Hindu Vishranti Graha unless you specifically looking out for it.
This no-frills eatery has been raved much about in the local dailies and was looking forward to visit.
Dropped in here for lunch and ordered their Pola Misal and American Sev Puri.
The Pola Misal served looked delicious at sight with the lovely red "tarri" and fluffy pola. The misal is tangy and spicy with the pola a good accompaniment instead of the usual pav served at other eateries.
The American sev puri substitutes puris with canapes and makes for a decent snack.
There is a lot more to be tried and shall drop in next for Pola Ussal.
The total hit on my wallet for this great lunch was just 95 bucks.
