China garden is one of the best indo-chinese joint not only in Mulund but maybe one of the best in Mumbai. This is an extremely underrated joint. I’m going to this place since 15 years I guess since the outlet was at vaishali nagar. This is now located at cypress. This is one of the very few restaurants or shops in cypress which are still there and haven’t closed.
Ambience
This is the only demerit of this place. It has no ambience at all. It’s just like a roadside joint having 6 tables. But the taste is so good that this can still be ignored.
Food
Well I’ve literally tried the whole menu, so obviously can’t write about every dish. But I’ll mention the ones which are THE BEST. Well this will still be quite a huge list.
Soups
Manchow soup
I know its a very basic kinda thing to order. But the thing which makes the difference is the shredded chicken. Yes, the soup is topped which handful of shredded chicken, which makes it different from the rest joints. Majority of chinese joints put fried chicken, which has no chicken in it but only the coating of maida or corn flour, just to increase the quantity.
Lung fung
This is another great one to try. It is topped with sort of egg white. It is beaten egg white I feel, but looks like a cloud and tastes good too.
Starters
Chicken satay
This is one of the finest chicken starters I’ve ever had anywhere. Traditionally, satay is an Indonesian starter, which is served with peanut sauce. But here, its served in an indo-chinese style and has a schezwan garlic sort of sauce which is amazing. It has 6 pieces of fried chicken in a tooth pick like skewers, and served with the sauce topped on it.
Fish finger
Again, this fish fingers is better than any other I’ve ever had. They are mouth melting. So soft and fresh, would surely recommend this one.
Chicken/ paneer hot garlic
This is basically fried chicken topped with garlic and schezwan. If you like garlic, you’ll love this one.
Chicken/ paneer in red chilly sauce
If you like it spicy, go for it.
Chicken in white pepper sauce
This has loads and loads of garlic and the taste is just delicious. (Brown colour)
Chicken/ paneer hong kong
This is a tangy starter which is tossed in schezwan sauce. If you’re looking for something spicy, go for it. (Red colour)
Chicken in black bean sauce
This one had the masala more over like the chilly chicken, except it is without capsicum. The taste was brilliant.
Fish in dragon sauce (red colour)
The masala is similar to what we get in the chicken crispy. But the same in fish, is just heaven.
Main course
All the above mentioned dishes, can be either served dry or in gravy. I’ve always ordered dry because we get the gravy along with rice so no need to order it separately.
Rice with gravy
1)Naning rice
This is exceptional. I’ve been eating this since so long, and I’ve tried almost all the restaurants in mulund and many in Mumbai, but never had something like this. I just can’t explain the taste, but it’s something different, not like other restaurants who just give fancy names but serve the same thing.
2)China garden special rice
Special means it should be distinct from others. The rest chinese joints just serve a gravy and call it special. But here special is really exceptional , something distinctive. It is just the normal fried rice topped with an orange thick gravy. The taste is sweet. Yes you heard it right, sweet taste in fried rice? Well that’s why it’s special. I like food spicy, especially talking about chinese? Definitely should be spicy!!But this, even after being sweet, is irresistible.
2)Chilli garlic rice
This dish is basically fried rice WITH CHILLY CHICKEN. So if you order both of them separately it would cost you around ₹400. But if you order this dish you’ll get the same thing, but only at ₹260. It is a steal!!
3)Shanghai rice
This is schezwan fried rice topped with a green coloured gravy. The taste is just luscious!!
4)TNT rice
This is schezwan fried rice served with gravy. But this dish serves the maximum quantity of chicken along with the fried rice. It had as many as 10 pieces.
5)Tiranga rice
It is a 3 coloured rice served with gravy but the main highlight of this dish is the quantity. It is more than enough.
6)American chop suey
This is basically fried noodles topped with sweet gravy and an omelette. I’ve tried it at many places but I like it only from here. The consistency and taste is just perfect.
Pricing
The pricing is pretty decent. Starters and rice with gravy , both are around ₹200-250. One of the best things is the fried noodles and schezwan chutney. The schezwan chutney is one of the best I’ve ever had, the consistency is the same since so many years. It is free untill the 2nd time, after that it would be charged.
Overall experience
Well I’d say if its summers, go for home delivery. But if its winter or the climate is cool, I’d say dining would be better. The food is so good that the ambience doesn’t matter. The delivery is super fast but, and the service too. The food is super awesome, this is one of the most underrated food joints in Mulund.

BEST CHINESE SINCE AGES!
This place has proven to be a blessing to every Vegetarian and Non vegetarian in Mulund. Just love the options, the service and more than anything the Taste! Has been my go to place for so many years.
I have tried Chicken Shezwan Rice, Chicken Shezwan Noodles, Veg Shezwan noodles, Paneer Crispy, Chicken Manchurian, Chicken Crispy, Chicken manchow soup. Shanghai Rice is my most favourite one from here
China garden is a worth place for Chinese food .
Pocket friendly restaurant and also enjoyable with family and friends .

Whenever I crave chinese this is my go to place.The rates are quiet reasonable and the taste is also very good. Even in the delivery there is no change in taste of food
One of the finest place for chinese food. I have been visiting this place past 7-8years. Their chicken lollypop, Chicken tripple schezwan rice is very tasty along with pepsi.

Soup is all time fav.
For people who generally have less appetite like me would be half done with this soup only. :P

I'm Chinese lover and this place serves the best Chinese cuisine.....loved the manchow soup and chicken lollipop which were extremely mouthwatering and delicious...been here with family and spend good time with quality Chinese place.
Chinese food is the best food of this place. The rice is properly cooked, chicken is fresh, paneer is also soft and fresh and the most important this restaurant doesn't add too much colour to its dishes. The place is small and the rates are also little high but the quality of the food is very good.
Have Sherpa rice several times here and never have been disappointed. This time we tried TNT RICE and SHANGHAI RICE. Both were great but can’t beat Sherpa rice. A good budget friendly place to hangout with your gang.
When we visit this place its in a small corner besides more presentable hotels but people make this place more crowded than the other places . Talking about the food,they will serve you the food with all the instructions u provide and in proper time and with proper garnishing and everything . It tastes so good. We order very less between 3 4 people still theres always some left over
This place surely serves the best value for money Chinese food. Me and my wife Sailee Vaidya have tried so many dishes especially the different rice and gravy combos. Our personal favorites being the Sherpa rice and Shanghai rice.

Sherpa rice and manchow soup is a must try. Their manchow soup is the BEST!!!! Can bet on that.

Been eating at/from this joint for 23 years+ now...yesss i do remember the number of years too...:D...Great food provided you do not really expect much..but yes probably one of the best Chinese joints in Mulund ; otherwise it wouldn't have been able to run so long...Do try the triple schezwan fried rice and china garden special noodles. Manchow soup is great. Lung fung soup is awesum too..Used to go here with family right from the time they used to be in an open air ground. Now its a normal restaurant with ambience nothing much to speak of. Nowadays the taste is not consisitent but still nevertheless a great place which is easy on the pocket. Keeps you happy which is most important:)
This joint is just next to Ceremonial in Cypress. This is the only place to have decent Chinese food in Mulund. I have been having triple schezwen fried rice from this place since my childhood and the taste and the quantity hasn't changed over the years. Only recently the prices have increased. I would personally suggest a home delivery since the ambience is not that good but yes no complaint for their food. The owner is very generous and delivers even when the total order is less than their minimum requirements
China garden is of cors world famous in mulund for its super awesome manchow soup!!! Like i order it almost 1-2 times a week (wud have ordered more if ajinomoto wasn't that bad for health) but the food the super yummy.. Quantity is good, quality is good.. And the best best best Indian Chinese food iv ever had.. Very honestly iv tried few other joints in mulund for chinese.. But china garden is one side!!! Blessed with a magical Chinese food joint in cypress. 😋😋😋
Food is good .. delivery takes a little while ... However worth the wait !!! Chicken Triple Schwan is a should have dish over here ... Soups are good aswell ... Here n there ... Good for the pockets !!!

China garden exists to serve that purpose! The food here is strictly okay and nothing out of the ordinary
A few things worth trying are the Chicken lollypop and the Chicken triple shezwan rice! My vegetarian friends seem to love the TNT noodles. Though I have never tried that personally it stills seems like a good choice. The seating arrangement could be a little better but then again it is not really a well established restaurant.

I had ordered the chicken lollipop , chicken schezwan fried rice and chicken crispy! All tAsted awesome ! But then it digs a big hole in ur pocket if u are thinking of it as any other chinese joint !
Going by just the food, this is the place to be. My personal favourite. Must try manchow soup and veg China garden special fried rice. For non vegetarians chicken lollipop is a good option.
I am giving this place 4/5 just for its taste. They serve typical indian chinese which is really good if u r bugged up eating 'Authentic chinese'.

This place is very old and have been eating here since my childhood. Earlier it was located elsewhere and it was perfect garden restaurant but now its changed. Though the ambience has fallen the taste of this Chinese outlet remains still intact. Awesome chicken lollipop and noodles and rice...they make all of them nice. Do try it if you are in mulund and want to eat Chinese.

I have been a long time customer of this restaurant (used to visit them as a child when they were based out of another location earlier). While their chinese tends to be spicy it's the kind that any mumbaikar would love. BEWARE: This place is not for patromns of authentic chinese food. It is crowded on weekends and there is waiting. All cards and digital payment accepted. Meal pass like Sodexo meal card is not accepted. Ordered Paneer Satay as starter. Chilli garlic noodles with Manchurian gravy as main course. Would recommend for glutten free meal.

The Eatery/Hotel is quite an old one now, 25 years plus if earlier places of operations are also counted. Having been around for a while gives a good glimpse of what is in store for the food lovers. The taste hasn't changed a lot over the years, so is the quality and quantity. Currently Parcel, Home Delivery options available due to Covid restrictions, but when permissions are granted I would suggest dining there itself for relishing on piping hot tasty food served...
PS: Try their Chicken Sherpa rice.

Best Indian Chinese food with cluster of varieties & combinations. I have been visiting this place ever since it was located besides Indraprast Hall on Bal Rajeshwar Marg. Then he shifted to Willow Towers & never ever have been any changes to the taste of the dishes. It's always improving & getting better.
