My family and I always make it a point to visit this amazing restaurant whenever we are in the area. Since I was a small kid, we have been frequenting this place, and the taste is still the same. The ambience and aromas are nostalgic if you are in the same boat as me 😁
The food tastes unquestionably amazing. I wish the ambience could be better, especially in terms of better air conditioning and close proximity to other tables. But once you start stuffing your face with the chicken, you forget everything else. 😅
this place is to be congratulated. the space is large and very pleasant, the employees are super professional and attentive, the food was fantastic and tasty. I give five stars because I can't give more.
It's iconic place to visit among the food eatery of Mumbai. We tried Paya Soup mild spicy and great taste, hot & sour soup was also great. Tried platter and each variety of tandoori was awesome. The mutton biryani was great to be tasted along with mutton gravy and naan. The atmosphere was good with whole lots of different sections and arrangements.

Shalimar Restaurant, a culinary haven for traditional flavors and the renowned falooda experience! 🌶️🍜 While the taste journey is nothing short of awesome, there are a few areas where enhancement could elevate the overall dining experience.
The service, though sincere, showed room for improvement. A bit more attentiveness could add to the efficiency and charm of the dining affair. The heartwarming flavors deserve seamless service to match.
Ambience, while steeped in tradition, could benefit from a touch of modernization. A subtle update to the interior and operational aspects could infuse a fresh vibrancy, appealing to a broader audience.
In essence, Shalimar Restaurant stands as a culinary gem with a traditional soul. With a few tweaks, it has the potential to reach new heights while retaining its cherished authenticity. 🍽️🌟 #ShalimarRestaurant #CulinaryExperience
This is one of the best places in Mumbai for Mughlai food. It also has all the cuisines available. The food is delicious here and Paya soup, Raan biryani, Chicken Tikka biryani, Tandoori and Rose falooda are a must try. Seating is ample but there is always waiting on weekends.
Absolutely recommended...
Shalimar is a true gem when it comes to mouthwatering Mughlai cuisine. I was introduced to this place by a friend who raved about their dishes, and we decided to try the famous butter chicken. It's safe to say that Shalimar lives up to its reputation when it comes to the food.
The butter chicken might appear to be a smaller portion, but don't be fooled; the quantity is just right, and the quality is exceptional. The dish was a delightful blend of rich, creamy flavors that left me wanting more. I recommend pairing it with plain rice for the authentic experience.
What pleasantly surprised me was the accompaniments – they served it with green chutney and schezwan sauce, and a generous garnish of crispy onions on top. These added elements provided a burst of complementary flavors that enhanced the dish.
Shalimar's commitment to quality is evident in every bite. They use the finest ingredients and pay great attention to the meat's quality, making every dish a true treat for the taste buds. Despite the high quality, their prices are incredibly reasonable, which is a huge plus.
So, if you're a food lover, make sure to visit Shalimar with friends or family and bring a hearty appetite. You won't be disappointed. The food here is the star of the show, and it's an experience you'll want to savor again and again
We ordered Raan Biryani which is famous over there. Was expecting a whole leg of lamb that is placed on top of the fragrant rice, but turns out to be something different.
But still it's better.
i just absolutely love this place … their food is literally heavenly… i was longing to have their biryani and kebabs…. it is always pretty crowded too but we got a seat immediately…. there is huge seating area also although it may seem a bit compact…. i didnt find the falooda that great which is also apparently very wellknown… it is also an expensive place but worth the money
Loveddddd it..specially the tandoori leg...it was juicy and hugeee felt like a turkey leg piece. Lol jokes apart its a good restaurent with good food in reasonable price and its spacious clean and the staff is pretty accommodating

Shalimar is one of the best restuarant in Masjid, they have lot of varities and especially famous for non-vegetarian foods. This place always remain full and during Eid days there won't be any seats are available. They have seperate snacks, juice counters and upper portion arranged for small and large group. I tried their biriyani, mutton chops, kebabs, brain fry, falooda, shahi tukda etc. All the items were delicious.
Worth for money.
Tasty food but little bit costly.
Must try
Service is fast, food tastes great but pricey. Kunafa classic & cheese are both a must try.
This restaurant is a gem for those on a budget! The prices are reasonable, yet the food is incredibly tasty, making it a satisfying dining experience. While the ambience may not be extravagant, it strikes a good balance, considering the excellent value for money. Overall, it's a pocket-friendly option that doesn't compromise on flavor.
