Craving something liquid and sweet, had gone to Dairy Don to try some of their thickshakes. We ordered the chocolate shake, oreo shake and the chocochip shake.
One thing I must say, their thickshakes are really super thick. They are really value for money. The chocolate shake and oreo shake were really good. I would highly recommend it. The chocochip one was not good. The chocochips were only put on the top of an otherwise plain vanilla shake. Its taste didn't match the level setbby the other shakes.
This is a hidden gem. I would suggest people go and taste their shakes.

Dairy Don located in the lanes of Ghatkopar west, in Khau Galli, has always been our go to place for desserts since as long as we remember.
One should definitely try their SIMPLE COCO first before going on to other drinks.
Their Coco Crispy and Coco Crunch are also worth trying.
They have a variety of different Sandwich ice-creams as well.
Paan Ice cream is worth trying for all the paan lovers.
Would definitely love to go back and try some more of their desserts.

When its dairy don it's the coco shake, coco shake is thick enough and very creamy. In terms of ambience it's quite good and in terms of the rate its pocket friendly and economical.

Small outlet in Ghatkopar East. It's located near station area. The outlet is not very fancy but the Oreo coco (milkshake) that I had here was really nice. It was very thick unlike other normal chocolate shakes, filled with oreo biscuit and choco chips. My friend had a Rich coco small which was without Oreo but just as thick as the shake I had. Dairy Don has many outlets in Mumbai and it is famous for its varieties of cold coco. This outlet is located at the busy khau galli area in Ghatkopar east. It is a small outlet and has limited seating space. They have cold cocos, ice creams, thick shakes and faloodas. Rates are very reasonable and not at all heavy on pockets.

This was the first time that I had Icecream-Sandwiches ever! And it was certainly a pleasant experience. This Icecream chain has quite a lot of variety of Icecreams at avail. They have extravagant flavours too, such as Pan Masala, Gulkand, Ferrero Rocher, Rabdi, etc. (Definitely gonna try atleast one of these on the next visit!)
We decided to try out the basic, but yummy flavours for our Icecream sandwiches such as- Kaju Anjir (Cashew-fig), Vanilla, Kesar Pista, etc.
These flavours were really good. Especially with the crunchiness from the flat, square-shaped wafers (Btw, the Icecreams too are a square slab, so as to sit in perfectly with the crunchy wafers!)
The cost is totally worth for the quality and quantity you get from this joint :)
My Verdict: Recommend Icecreams.... Though can't vouch for the other flavours!

One should go for these Maharaja paan ice-cream as it is one that feels lyk sumthng new in the outlet..n it is good in taste. After dinner dessert 🍨 one should go for the paan.😉
I have been visiting this place just to have cold coco. Truly amazing. However the ice creams served here are also quite good. Nothing great about this place but no one can make cold cocos like they do, thats what i think. A 4.5 rating from me just for the cold cocos.

DIARY DON....well its quite a filmy name if u ask me..."Don of the dairy" the owner of the chain definately is a bollywood fan.... never mind that... the Ghatkopar east outlet of Dairy Don is very stratigically place just beside the famous KHAU GALLI and soo all the Gujjus ( others also experience a 'warm' welcome ) after their meal full of cheese panner and calories will surly end up here looking for some fine dessert... And Dairy Don does not fail in pleasing the coustmers.. I was really excited about visiting this place as I have heard a lot about this place from my friends but never tried it... So today i finally found my self staring at the wide variety of desserts this place has to offer... after thinking for some time about ' on what I wanna lay my hands ' i decided to go with Cassata.. and a swiss cake sandwich....
The cassata is the classic all time fav dish and it nevr fails to tingle ur taste buds... the combination of Tutti frutty, Strawberry and butterscotch the three simple yet mouth wateribg flavours along with the dry fruit loaded outer layer is really some thing else....
then comes the swiss cake sandwich.... this was the first time i was hauving and icecream nestet between two crispy waffers and i sure loved it... the swiss cake was a rich flavour with rasins and dark choclate mixed with icecream... and the crisp waffer dsnt become soft while being in contact wuth the icecream...
Oops.. i totally forgot to mention about the interiros of this place.. you are greeted by the colour full posters and the neon light sign board reading Dairy Don and thus this one can be located even while being in a crowdes area like khau galli... the staff was a disappointment though... he didnt say a wrd nor did he smiled... may be he had a fight with his wife!! well getting back to the tasty stuff... i was told a million times that whenevr you visit dairy don u MUST try the coca drink... and so i ordered a big coca... well it sure was tasty... i gues made up of some coco powder added to milk with crushed choclates to add some flavour... but it wasnt chilled enough so the real taste didnt come out but it was worth a try....

Dairy Don is a chain of outlets spread across Mumbai, serving an array of Ice Creams and milk shakes. The Ice Cream serving concept seems to be borrowed from K Rustom, with the Ice Creams nestled between two wafers. The Sizes are smaller than the ones at Rustoms, although the prices are lower as well. This outlet is at the end of the famous Ghatkopar East Khau Galli, just a few steps ahead of the famous Sai Swad Dosa.
I have had a couple of flavors of the sandwich Ice Cream – Gulab (Rose Flavor) and Musk Melon. The Ice Creams were average, especially the Musk melon tasting a bit artificial and diluted in terms of flavor for me, while the Gulab was average.
The Maharaja Paan
What I love here and always order is the unique Maharaja Paan. A lot of us Indians love the good old betel leaf loaded with goodies and a big dollop of gulkand, especially after meal. Now, if you can get an ice-cream and paan in one bite, you have winner on your hands.
This is basically a Paan masala ice cream which is covered by an actual Paan ka patta (Betel leaf). What makes this work in my opinion, is that the slight bitterness of the astringent betel leaf balances the sweetness of the Paan ice cream, which has that lovely fresh flavor of gulkand. Each piece is priced at a reasonable 40 bucks.
They also provide takeaways of the Maharaja Paan in a slightly clumsy and makeshift manner by wrapping it in a newspaper with a dry ice cover. Lasts only 30-40 mins though.
Yet to try out the milk shakes, might do that on our next visit to Khau Galli.
Best place to visit after savouring mouth watering food at the Khau Galli in Ghatkopar East. The best way to cool things is order a Chocolate Coco, priced reasonablly...once you have this you would say YEH DIL MAANGE MORE...
Icecream plus pan nobody can beat this place in desserts. Crazy for their pan icecream. It is a pan leaf covering with pan flavoured icecream inside made in a pan shape holding together is a toothpic. They also have other flavours like tutifruti, kesar pista chocolate etc served in between waffle biscuit. Rest you can see the pics😛

The ghatkopar east outlet is situated right at the heart of "khau-galli" which gives it a major advantage over similar places elsewhere in ghatkopar. Its a tiny place with a capacity of maximum 5/6 people. You usually find people standing out or buying takeaways.
Dairy Don serves the best coco I have ever had. Its super thick with a very nice flavour of coco and trust me when I say, you won't be satisfied with just one. And all this for just Rs.50
It also serves ice-cream sandwich wherein ice-cream slab is placed between waffer biscuits. A good concept, tastes good. Pan masala is a must try.
Apart from cool coco, it also serves a whole lot of other milkshakes.
It is always on my go-to list whenever I visit the khaugalli. Perfect end to a Sunday night dinner !!!

Going here for desserts after lunch/dinner is usually a bad idea. The milkshakes are thick, heavy and filling. Nevertheless, the Oreo shake is a must have.
