El Toro is a spanish term meaning "The Bull" The Spanish Bull finds home amidst streets of Bandra. The mission is so serve the locals the taste of Spanish cuisine with complete authenticity bringing in flavors from Spain. El Toro is a casual dining restaurant in Bandra Reclamation serving some great food with different cuisines like Spanish, European, Seafood, American, Italian and much more. El Toro is located at ONGC, Reclamation, Bandra West. The crowd you'd find here is plushly sophisticated dining with friends and family. The interiors and Decor at El Toro are elegantly done with a well stocked bar and comfort seating. Looks classic and modest. El Toro is very much cozy for the physically challenged. The cuisine they concentrate over is European and Spanish. If you're a person fond of western food then yes this is a restaurant you should visit. Food done here is predominantly authentic with exact European feel with correct amount of spice blends. What we ate? 🍴 TAPAS To savor your palates El Toro has some finest food like :- Onion Rings Patata Bravas Calameres Fritos Chicken Liver Pate Quesadilla Chicken Alitas De Pollo (Chicken Wings ) German style Chicken sausage These are a part of their Sunday Brunch menu which includes all the above dishes along with soup and unlimited Beer/Sangria. It is priced at 1500 + I would recommend the Quesadilla. Chicken was nice and soft and this with apt cheesiness. Recommended. Also try the Patata Bravas. It comes with a mildly spicy sauce and sour cream. Onion Rings were lovely. Very crisp and thinly coated dusted with spicemix. Recommended. A weird combination but I enjoyed having the German Chicken Sausages with Hummus. ( Do try their Hummus. Its awesome ) MAINS Red Bell Pepper Risotto The risotto was rightly done. I loved how mild it tasted. There was perfection in every bite. Recommended. Braised Chicken This is perfectly cooked braised chicken leg absolutely tender from within. Roasted and served with mash and exotic seasonal tossed vegetables. DESSERTS White Chocolate bread butter pudding It's a gooey pudding with soft bread topped with berry sauce. Dark Chocolate Mousse One of the finest smoothest mousee I've had lately. Amazingly Chocolatey and definitely a must try. The balance of dark chocolate and sweet chocolate is what steals the show here. Recommended. El Toro is where you should surely head to try authentic western food. Enjoy a scrumptious meal and ambiance at this beautiful restaurant. Kudos to Onkar Samarth for bringing forward this beautiful place.

Spanish Bull has now marked its footprints in Bandra, Mumbai under the name El Toro run by partners in Mumbai [Fortunate enough to meet Chef cum Partner Mr. Onkar Samarth and Mr. Ketan Wathare] Located on ONGC road [GPS Location are exact] offers a range of Spanish, Italian, Seafood, European Cuisine. This place is quite vibrant and lit up, Gives oneself a good vibe. This is quite a spacious place. We were here to try out their Thanksgiving menu which is specifically for this 24th November 2017. A proper Thanksgiving with the turkey roast. VEGETARIAN PATATA BRAVAS Patata bravas also known as papas Bravas originates from Spain comprises of potato diced into cubes deep fried and then tossed in their homemade spicy tomato sauce and sour crème. This is offered as tapas, the good small portion of snacks to start your meals. This fried cube gives been deep fried are crisp and crème gives been sour compliments the spicy tomato sauce. SEAFOOD Atún Atún is a Spanish term used for the fish tuna. The chef here has used fish tuna cut into round pieces and served them a dressing of soy and ginger. the ginger gives the nice punch to the fish whereas the same is powered with soy. CALAMARI FRITOS They were basically squid rings batter fried, in short calamari fritters, which were crisp and was a kind of addicted since it tasted the best with the sweet chili sauce. Ensured the plates are left on the table back to the kitchen empty. GAMBAS AL AJILLO Gambas Al Ajillo also known as Spanish Garlic Shrimps/Prawns a classic Spanish Tapa is fresh Prawn sautéed with garlic and olive oil also parsley with a hint of spice hit because of chili flakes which are used while cooking the prawn. CHICKEN CHICKEN LIVER Pâté Pâté is basically a mixture of meat into the separable paste, Can be served either hot or cold, famous Pâté are made of fattened geese livers, here we were served with chicken liver Pâté texture was the thick paste. Well, I loved them. Accompanied by melba toast. TURKISH CHICKEN WITH HUMUS The chicken Boneless thigh has been used. As we understood from the chef that the thigh area is the softest and tender portion of the chicken.Yogurt, Mint & Sumac Powder Marination for the Chicken thigh big chunks[Boneless] which made the chicken even more soft with the mint hit and Sumac Powder [Dried Flower & Powdered fruit – Famous in the Middle East ], chicken cooked to perfection and laid over hummus. THANKSGIVING DINNER Whats Special For the Turkey Roast [Which is on 24th November 2017] Priced at 750+ tax, Trust me this is VFM.!!You get the below GLASS OF SANGRIA ROASTED TURKEY CREAMY WILD GARLIC MASH ASSORTED ROAST VEGETABLES BRUSSELS SPROUTS WILTED KALE PIG IN A BLANKET TURKEY GRAVY BREAD SAUCE BERRY SAUCE This was the best Thanksgiving , couldn’t be better started with bread sauce and Berry Sauce with the Turkey pitching in served 3 portions/area of turkey namely the back area, Breast area and the leg area and this turkey is roasted along with a lot of veggies, red wine and so many flavours in the meat . Mash Potato had a thick creamy texture just the way it has to be. Assorted roasted vegetables they were the best both in terms of flavour and freshness [Note: All vegetables are home grown by the chef] Pig in a Blanket are bacon-wrapped hot dogs [ Perfect in every way] also shredded pork in Barley [I feel] loved the softness of the pork meat [This is heavy on your tummy though] DESERTS STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING AND BAKED YOGURT This is by far the best sticky toffee pudding I had. The best part of this pudding was that it's sweet yet salty, that’s because of the salted Carmel been used in it topped with white chocolate ice-cream. Just the perfect thing to end my meal.

Amidst the busy eatery lane in a fancy area like Bandra Reclamation is a newly opened outlet known by the name El Toro that literally translates to ''The Bull''. The bull symbolizes the famous city of Spain that is also well known for it wonderful cuisine. El Toro has been opened with the very idea to merge the infamous Spanish Tapas and dishes with a touch of Indian flavors to let their patrons enjoy this lovely specialized cuisine. The menu has been set to accommodate their vegetarian and non-vegetarian customers as well. The evening hours are the best times to visit this classy and elegant outlet. The minimal lighting and the spacious decorated interior makes it all the more an inviting place of fine dining. It was a marvelous culinary experience wherein the Chef briefed us about the dishes we would be having and the idea behind the invention of those dishes. The Chef here, might I quote him '' Loves playing with alcohol'' and hence experiments with countless dishes to serve us the best. Without further a do, we first started off with : Roast Chicken and Quinoa Salad with Chia Bean: Absolute Garden fresh salad consisting of lettuce, chicken slices, chia beans, and herb was a healthy and perfect. For siders we opted for : Mocktails and we had Red Sun Mocktail, the mixture of orange juice and strawberry blended with soda absolute refreshing. The Phorbilicious : is that mocktail which you should definitely order. Mango juice perfectly blended with coconut cream and Strawberry juice served with vanilla ice cream of top. Highly Recommended! Next on to the list was Patata Bravas : Spicy and crispy potato wedges topped with tangy tomato and sour cream, garnished with finely chopped coriander leaves on top, making it a perfect combination for a Spanish Tapas. Highly Recommended! Carpaccio of Beet: Thin beet root slices topped with crumbled feta and peanuts, futher garnished with micro green, something unique to try with. The pimentos Rellenos con tres quesos. Again a very highly recommended and a very unique dish served, Indian Jalapenos chilies with cheese stuffing and drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Little spicy and creamy flavor of chilli and cheese made it a lip smacking dish. From the non vegetarian dishes: we tried Alitas de Pollo, Chicken wings cooked in a spicy Portuguese sauce that is generally cooked with a whiskey topping. An insanely spicy dish but delicious at the same time. Highly Recommended. Capellini Aglio Olio: Fine noodles cooked in olive oil and tossed with basil and garlic and chilli flakes. The main ingredient here is the olive oil and salt. To enjoy every bit of noodles you have to mix it with the oil and the chilli flakes giving it a little spicy flavor. Highly recommended. Wild Mushroom Risotto: Creamy Mushroom topped with crispy lotus stem pieces an garnished with micro green, a perfect dish to try with. Moving to the most favourite part of the meal “The Dessert”. In the dessert had sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel and white chocolate ice cream amazingly luscious. The dark chocolate mousse, combination of sweet and bitter flavor of dark chocolate and cardamom. This dessert is definitely your palate need to try. Lastly we had was the baked yoghurt. Baked yoghurt topped with dried strawberry pieces served in an earthen pot. All the dessert served here has its own uniqueness and flavor. One can opt for any one of them. To sum it up, Our day at El Toro was no less than a journey filled with excitement. The place carries a lovely ambience with top quality European food and down to earth staff, definitely a must visit.

Ever heard of Tapas? A tapa, in Spanish cuisine, is an appetizer, or snack. It may be cold or hot. In select bars in Spain, tapas have evolved into an entire, sophisticated cuisine. The food is served in small portions. . My recommendation: Espresso Martini, Hurricane, patata bravas, dark chocolate mousse, strawberry baked yogurt. Summing up my review: Ambience: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Food : 4.5/5 Overall: 4.5/5
