Adarsh restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in Dadar that serves "Maharashtrian" food to their customer. This restaurant is situated near Dadar station. (Opposite to Nakshatra mall). Visited this place last week with my friend for lunch.
This restaurant is especially known for its snacks like a kothimbir wadi, misal pav etc.
This place is newly renovated. This place gives you fresh vibes and wonderful Mumbai theme is very unique. This place is always crowded on weekdays as well as weekends.

Coming to food their Dalimbi usal with puri, Kharvas, Misal & Thalipith (regular & farali) are must have.. 😍😍 quick service & VFM, Must visit if you are in Dadar or around.
In the busy street of dadar you will find this hotel. It's very crowded during festive seasons as most people visit this restaurant as it's located near to dadar station.
About food I have tried most of the dishes and it tasted really good. For lunch in starters had ordered Hara Bharat kabab and it's very delicious. In main course had ordered Chana Masala, Dal Tadka, Veg kolhapuri, Butter roti and Rice. Everything was served quick and was upto the mark.
If you go here for snacks you can try veg cutlets, Thalipith or kothimbir vadi. Also in drinks Piyush with saffron is best one.
Ambience is good you will find the walls having pics of famous places in Mumbai.
Food is good in taste and quantity is also good for the price paid. It's located in a very busy street and usually it's crowded. You will be welcomed by very good staff and service is also good

The awesome place for authentic marathi veg food. Must try Piyush here. Waiters are good, recently they have renovated the restaurant, they kept the theme of popular places of Mumbai and major festivals in Mumbai. Price of dish is also economic.
very cooperative thank you so much
Adarsh is some of those places I am in complete awe of as I have been watching it's omnipresent existence for the last fifty years. It could be easily their third generation at the helms now & so will be of their support/service staff. The estate could very well be a monument given the passage of time it has travelled.
They have renovated the place nicely with air-conditioning , much needed, away from the dust & din of the road leading to Dadar station.
No fancy clientele, purely functional surroundings, feeding the souls arriving from either travel destinations or in the midst of their household buying frenzy.
Adarsh treats everyone equally, without bias & offers menu cards that have hardly changed over the years but for some popular Udupi dishes & some more fancy meal assortments.
You are absolutely certain to get consistent, hygienic & authentic Maharashtrian preparations , day in day out. And to my dismay, I pity those who order Udupi dishes at Adarsh , not realising these are some of the last few true blue Maharashtrian estates remaining in Mumbai given the manifestation of the ubiquitous QSRs.
My favourites are always the " Puneri Misal" " Bhajneeche Thaalipeet", "Kothimbeer Vadi" & the thick n sweet, saffron flavoured, heavenly Piyush to wash these down. These are some of the quick determinants to prove the authenticity of the preps, and I hardly ever go wrong.
Long live Adarsh..Salute ! 👍
All the Marathi snack items are always a big feast to eat. I love the misal pav they serve, even the Farali misal is good. Tea and coffee are the best ones served here too!

Decently priced. Ambience is really interesting with pictures describing the essence of Mumbai!
Visited today.Good food. tried masala dosa, puneri misal, veg cutlet & plain dosa. All dishes were tasty, puneri misal was a bit sweet, should have been spicy.
Adarsh... Means 'Ideal'... Ideal place to visit with family... Because it provides you delicacies that satisfy test buds of every generation... Right from traditional maharashtrian specialities like Kothimbir vadi, thalipeeth ... To fusion foods like pizza utappa... I have been there quite a lot of times... Tried many things.. The iconic dish of this restaurant is kothimbir vadi. A glass of heavenly piyush along with it does wonders. All maharashtrian dishes are very tasty, maintaining the quality and taste since years... Adarsh special misal pav is worth a try... If you want to try something different... Try pizza utappa... You will get feel of both the cuisines at the same time... In the main course, I have tried paneer pasanda, stuffed paratha, paneer tikka biryani, pav bhaji so far... And all were perfect in taste...
This is very old and famous restaurant in dadar... Recently renovated with the 'Mumbai' theme. Nice display of pictures that define Mumbai and Mumbaikars and Mumbaiya culture... Also skyline which represents this Maximum city is a creative piece of art...

It's the most appropriate place to go if you are a Maharashtrian away from home and love home cooked kothimbir vadi, misal, shrikhanda puri, baji roti and all sort of Maharashtrian specialities.... Located at a prime spot in Dadar West....at a 2 minutes walking distance from Dadar railway station a very pocket friendly place which will make you refreshed with cool Amchi Mumbai interior giving you a Mumbaiya feel and make your tummy happy...
I have always passed by this restaurant since my childhood years. Recently they have gone through a serious upgrade in terms of looks. On Saturday afternoon, there was huge crowd waiting outside just to get a seat. So I had to check what the buzz was all about. I had to wait for 5 minutes which seems fair and found a comfortable seating for 3 of us.
Food : We ordered Kothimbir Wadi, Thalipeeth, Puneri Misal and Piyush. The Food was absolutely fantastic and they are really old-skool in that respect. Straight to the point perfection. Next we ordered some uttappa which was some kind of hybrid fusion of Italian Pizza and dosa. It was also good and dare I say healthier than the refined flour variant. This was my friend's suggestion because everyone around us were eating the same thing.
Look & Feel : It's an excellent 5 star ambience coupled with Mumbai spirit captured in some kind of crazy Timelase? Again to the point and not overdone.
Service : The waiter was courteous and polite. The service was super quick and that's commendable considering the amount of rush.
Next time I will try few other items on the menu and try to further update the review.
Delicious maharashtrian food! Comes with a legacy of 75 years. Don’t miss the thaalipeeth and kothimbir wadi. The Wada Pav is yummy too. Very friendly owner who’s seen at the restaurant quite often. Worth a visit for Marathi food.
We tried few Marhatran items and they were totally different for us being form Middle East. Messal is the best. Piyush and Pavbhaji were good too. The food was totally awesome and not spicy as we had anticipated. Shukriya will visit again next year.
Just opposite nakshatra mall in central market place of Dadar west, adarsha is an old establishment .
Maharashtrian food here is very good.Must try is their Thalipeeth, Misalpav, Pavbhaji and Dalimbi usal (typical Brahmin style).

Heart of adarsha,it's really different taste from rest of the hotels who serves kothimbir vadi..But didn't find such anywhere , preparation is totally different only slight taste of zunka made of besan.
Service is really good and they always keep attention to customer , good co operative staff.

They have one poster Right at entrance that cathches your eyes the way they have painted and carved its incredible.

Famous for traditionally prepared maharstriyan dishes with the ultimate taste.
I have been to these place from childhood that time this was with very simple decor but one thing doesn't change in taste of the menus over here. so I am exactly aware of the taste and trust me there is no drastic change in their taste of any food item like wise they have a monopoly of few items like piyush ,kothimbeer wadi, and many of the fasting items.
1.ambiance 5/5

Delicious food, wonderful ambience and good service.
This newly renovated place gives you fresh vibes and wonderful Mumbai theme is very unique
I stumbled upon this gem while shopping at Dadar few years back. The food was good back then. But today again I stumbled at this place by sheer co-incidence. At first I thought it is a different restaurant. But upon checking I came to know that it's the same restaurant but with new look. Finally this one is now fully air-conditioned. A basic necessity if Mumbai heat gets you. I like what they have done to the walls. Feels so fresh.
Kothimbir Wadi and Misal don't need any introduction as almost everyone has mentioned about it in the reviews. I tried some North Indian and it was right on target. I gulped down on lassi which was also good.
Don't let the "posh" look fool you. The prices are extremely resonable.

Been to this place many times, the renovation is very good, very nice , Mumbaikar would love it what they had done with the place. Food is simple and tasty with good service. A good experience of eating with monuments and festivals pics of Mumbai.😀
One of the afternoon commuting got me to this place, Located band opposite Dadar Station on the east. This place is worth every time and penny you spend.

Highly Recommended if you are in and around Dadar any time of the day, this place will not disappoint you.
So the other day I stumbled upon this amazing place! We started with some yummy sev batata puri and then went for veg jalfreji and butter naan.
Also tried out the usal and absolutely loved the typical Maharashtrian flavour! So next time if you are looking for a place in Dadar, this is definitely the one!
Along with their yummy meals they have timely service & are also budget friendly!
Excellent Maharashtrian, South Indian & Punjabi Food! Pav Bhaji is also great! Kothimbir Wadi & Sabudana Wada preparation is unique & a must try! Overall ambience is also excellent! Service is also prompt. All The Best to Adarsha for all future endeavors! 👍👍
I recently dined at Adarsha and ordered the Adarsha Misal Pav to try something different. This dish combines unique sweet and sour flavors, but unfortunately, the pav and misal didn't taste fresh and seemed to be of lower quality.
If you're a fan of spicy misal, this might not be the best choice for you. However, it can be an interesting option for a change if you want to try something new.
Following that, I ordered bhaajaniche thalepeth, which was both crunchy and tender inside, though not very spicy. It was served with coconut chutney, adding to the overall experience.
However, the prices at Adarsha seemed a bit high for the quality and quantity of the food. The restaurant tends to get crowded during peak times, so be prepared to wait outside for at least 10 minutes.
Adarsha is located at dadar in nakshatra mall lane nearby suvidha store. Both veg and non veg options available here. Service is quite quick. We tried their methi malai mutter roti and rice which was quite tasty. Would recommend this place for a quick stop while in dadar!
It is a very small outlet on the busy streets of Dadar, however it is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly and cooperative. Visited this place with my office colleagues who were from different parts of India, and they wanted to try maharashtrian cuisine. We ordered thalipeth, kothimbhir wadi, piyush, kokam sarbhat, and pav bhaji. All of them were served well garnish and food was quite warm. Quantities were just appt. Taste for 10/10. We insisted for serving hot water for drinking, and even that was given to us. Overall the place is highly recommended.
Very close to Dadar West railway station, the restaurant is a little bit costly. We ordered one veg biryani The quantity was good Two people could serve and the test was ok but the price was high (300) . The restaurant is fully AC and clean only The staff behaviour is not good.
They put the meal on table they do not serve.
Delicious food, quick service, do visit if you are into typical authentic Maharashtrian food. The decore gives you a few glimpses of Mumbai.
Good food and equally good service. Awesome place for family meals. The portion and taste are perfect for the price they charge, I ordered a veg biryani, it came with cucumber raita and a papad. I have also ordered from this place several times, never disappoints
The food was really delicious although a little more of oil on all its dishes.. don't miss out on their rawa masala dosa and falooda.
Decent food and decent prices.
It was the 1st time I visited the restaurant it was good to have food there. The service was excellent. But I found it myself to be expensive as they can add more variety in veg thali would be great. Option to enjoy the food
Very clean, fully AC restaurant very close to Dadar station.
One of the best place to have tasty food options in breakfast as well as in lunch & dinner.
Nice and quick service.
They best thing about this restaurant is all the staff members from here treats their every customer as a guest. They are very kind and friendly.
Nice and tasty food. Starter are too minimal in quantity. Only one person can eat it. Roti are too delicious. Place is also neat and clean. Servent are prompt and serving in well mannered way.
Must try foods items :
Kothimbir wadi and panner
The environment also displays the all famous location around Mumbai, like if you are new in Mumbai the main places you should visit.
This is definitely my favorite local restaurant in Dadar West, Mumbai. Delicious food 😋👌🏽, quick service and the server who served our table was kind, smiling face and friendly 5/5. Misal pav was outstanding 👌🏽, and all the dishes were delicious. If your a tourist you must try the local dishes (Maharashtrian foods). Please check the pictures. Loved all the dishes, reasonable price, and good quantity 5/5. Worth it 👍🏽.

Located in one of the busiest streets in Dadar market. We wanted to try authentic Marathi food. My friend suggested this place. It was totally worth it. We tried variety of dishes and all of them were superb. I would recommend you do try puneri misal pav. They have other varieties as well which are worth trying. Service was quick. You don't have to wait for your tasty food too long which is the best part. Also the cost is absolutely reasonable. Must visit place.
One of the oldest. Good food. Staff is well uniformed and good number of staff. AC sitting.
A simple and a good place with not so much variety in food but overall the place will remind you of everything in Mumbai. It has good authentic food and has history linked to many years.
It is a nice, cozy air-conditioned family restaurant with good service and good quality of food. You'll get a wide range of our everyday Indian dishes here. The restaurant is compact but the service is pretty quick. The rates are like any another regular restaurant - Affordable. I tried the regular Puri-Bhaji, Puneri Misal and Limbu Pani, I must say the taste was really good.
Nice Maharashtrian hotel!!! We ordered veg kolhapuri and butter naan which is light and not too spicy but tastes so delicious. It's an Ac hotel and has south Indian items included on the menu, Apart from this the hotel has a nice ambience a wall which attracts one's eye and showcases Mumbai's speciality. The best option to have meals in dadar
