Chang bhal a small place restaurant located in lower parel. The place is too good for maharastrian and malvani dishes especially the sea food dishes. The seating arrangement over there is also very nice and much rushy which makes this place more famous. The cost of the dishes are also much reasonable. I would suggest to try the chicken masala and kalji fry masala.

I loved the chiken tandoori, butter chicken and also the chiken biryani.
Also the fishes are tasty which includes surmai which is my favorite one.
Also the service was great and the recommendations suggested by the staff were good.
Also the prices are in budget and the food is worth for it.

Chang bhal is among those restaurants that will not only satisfy your taste buds but also give you value for your money. Usual, human tendency is that when you go out for food, you tend to spend a lot of money but friends there are restaurants that serve best of food at a reasonable price too.
The place is fully crowded during lunch time. The waiters are very courteous and service too is quick.
We opted for Malwani cuisine which included -
A) Bombil Fry - Fresh & perfectly crisp
B) Kombdi wade - This happens to be my all time favorite. So, there's no chance that I could miss this one. Chicken gravy was delicious 😋
C) Prawns fry - Again tasty but lil oily
D) Thali - Their sol kadi is to die for.
E) Kharwas - The quantity was amazing. It was the perfect thing to end our meal.
So, having so much food might have cost us more than 1000 right? Let me keep you all with this thought so that you can guess the right price. You can contact me or comment for the amount we spent on this meal!

A decent place that serves fantastic food. This is one of those neighborhood 20 seater restaurants at Lower Parel with prompt no nonsense service and lip smacking taste. I work in the vicinity and hence keep eating here regularly. My favorites are Prawns Biryani (rs 80), Surmai Fry (rs 100), Prawns Curry (rs 90) and other non veg dishes as well. I mention the prices just to give an idea of the wonderful value for money proposition they have.
If you are in that vicinity and are looking for some great food, this is the place to go to.
In Lalbag and Parel area this is the best cheapest hotel to eat. I have tasted Chicken kaleji biryani and chicken Tikka biryani which I dnt think anyone serves in this area. Both were tasty. Will go again.
It was a rainy day and me and my friend decided to taste some malwani food. This was one of the outlets frequented by my friend and hence he suggested the same. He ordered a dry chicken thali and I ordered surmai thali. Fish was awesome. Cooked perfectly. Spicy and full of flavors. Quantity was also really good. Two proportionate pieces of fish! Chicken tatsted delicious. Pieces were tender. Solkadi was awesome. On the whole, a good place to relish on malwani food. The place is small in terms of seating. But that all gets compensated by the quality food they serve.

A nice place to get in touch with your Malvani, Konkani roots at a reasonable cost. The restaurant offers all types of foods but we tried the Surmai thali and it was moderate but did not disappoint. We also tried fried prawns which were moderate in size but good in taste. All in a good and reasonable meal which leaves you wanting for more!
Fish thali was a really great option here .. fishes were fresh and cooked very nicely ...Chinese starter dishes were also good .... personally loved the chicken crispy and surmai thali.... prawns and chicken biryani was super delicious
