A place famous for serving south indian style affordable food.
The gravy dishes here are good but the parathas are very rubbery since they are made in advance.
Biryani is good but basic rice is very thick grained rice which doesnt taste good.
This restaurant is located at just 3-4 mins walking from dadar station east.
It serves good food for cheap rates. The quantity could easily satisfy a single person appetite.
Prawns Masala and Pepper Chicken are good.
Even the chicken biryani and egg biryani are good.
Hygiene wise its okish.
Service is quick.
This is a very small joint in Dadar East. You can reach there with the help of Google Maps, it's few meters away from kailash lassi. Definitely not a place for girls. But if you're very short of money and need to eat a hearty non vegetarian meal then you can give this place a try. We ordered for the prawns masala and chicken masala. We went for chapatis with it. The service is super quick as everything is already prepared. It's not so bad when it comes to hygiene. The prawns were amazing in taste and the chicken masala was spicy and nice. The prawns were very tiny and there were so many of them, so I thought they might be karandi but doesn't matter they gravy tasted amazing. Then we went for a chicken biryani, the rice quality was very bad but the chicken was amazing. There was one big piece of chicken at the center with gravy and lots of rice around. You'll definitely want to go check this place out because of the pricing but the only big disappointment is the crowd and the rice quality.

The place is quite small, so if you're more than 4 people you'll have to sit on separate tables. My friends and I ordered the chicken sukkha, chicken tikka masala, mutton dal gosht and crab curry with malabari paranthas.
The food quantities are sufficient for a person and will definitely fill you up. The crab I felt was actually enough for two people with small appetites.
From the taste perspective, the food is great and amazing value for money.
The server was very polite, he kept refilling our water jug and onions even before we asked for it. When we finished the meal, he asked us if we liked it and even apologized for some things on the menu that were unavailable. This was a pleasant surprise for such a small joint.
Overall, don't miss this place if you want to have some amazing malayali food (and crab!) when you're facing a serious cash shortage. Give it a skip if you expect great ambience, because that's something you won't find here.
So I came across this place in one of the Little Black Book's posts on Facebook and we decided to go there on the same day. We called up the restaurant to ask if food will be available around 11pm as we were to get late. Surprisingly, he said just come, everything will be available.
We are like it's no one's business or maybe like it's our last meal before hibernation. We ordered for 4 crab masala, 2 chicken masala, 1 mutton gravy, around 20 parathas, bangda fry and 2 plates rice. And how much did we pay for? Rs.640/- for everything.
Talking about the food! The chicken and mutton was good. But the crab masala was simply amazing! We lost all our sophistication and just dived in the bowls. The crab masala is a must try there.
The ambience is of a small eatery with maybe 6-8 small tables. But fast moving. We are definitely going to go here again and hog on the crabs!!
Must try mutton masala iddiyapam
Crab masala 😬😬
I tried chicken tandoori which i didnt like much
But you must complete your supper with sulaimani chai
A small little gem, on dadasaheb phalke road. You may even miss it if you aren't aware of this place. Located amongst the hustle and bustle of the busy road, they quietly serve some very economical food.
I was craving for some home made food and ordered for dal and roti. I was surprised to see a Dal Makhni, made of Moong Dal (sabut). Generally makhni is made of maa ko daal. This was a welcome surprise as the dal tasted too good. I hadn't eaten a Moong Daal with this taste ever before. Accompanied by a khatta lemon pickle, the meal made a satisfying end to a tiring day.
Another day, I am going back for some more tries of other dishes too.
I am a fan of mallu food so walking in search of lunch during office hours I happen to cross this restaurant and enquired about my favourite dish. They said yes we serve and i was in. Although this restaurant is damm small and can be missed but they serve amazing malabar food and too at a very reasonable rates. There is nothing to write about ambience just 6 table spread in two rows, quick service, food quality and quantity. I will definitely droppin or take away twice a month.
A very pocket friendly place that serves a variety of Keralite cuisine, most of the dishes are prepared fresh and in small batches... I liked the Chicken Curry, Meat fry, parottas and kalthappam.
Good Kerala food at adorable rate near to dadar station.. And one think dont expect high fi status... Its a normal place to eat good food at reasonable price..
It's a very small place but it can beat your hunger without asking much from your pocket. If you are a non-vegetarian then you must try it once. Those who are very concious about ambience, please stay away. It's not a place just to spend time. But it's surely a place which has good food.
The best... I love the name madeena
You can get veg and non-veg food, the taste is average but prices of menu are usually high.
