Love their freshly baked breads!🍞 They have a great variety of breads, buns, cakes and snack items.😍 The rolls are pattices taste amazing ♥️
One of the best place to have bakery items in borivali after merwans. Potato chop is my favorite which is only available on weekends. Other that that, there is chicken burger which just tastes like you're having a homemade burger then there's Russian cutlet which is amazing and unique from all other cutlets. I also like their other savoury items like sandwiches and chicken rolls and puffs.

In the confectioneries I love the mini donuts, bread pudding, Kit Kat pastry and last but not the least Choco lava cake is bang on!
It is one of the amazing place with suitable ambiance.
Unexpectedely very good food.
Service is good.
Price is were not too bad.
The quality and quantity of food is really good.
I will recommend for this place.
This is a bakery that offers a wide variety of rolls, patties, cakes etc. It's a great place if you are a little low on cash and wanna grab some quick bites. Every item of confectionery sold in this shop is a must try. Their doughnuts are some of the finest ones for the price that they are sold at. The only downside is that there is no seating available.
In frame : chicken burger, chicken crispy, sugar doughnut
tried the pattice, and other snacks from this place on many occasions and they are good. They cater to outdoor functions too with mini boxes. Quite convenient and a good option of items are always available.
Hot buns has two outlets in IC colony. This outlet is quite small, but very crowded. They have a lot of options in pastries, lot of variety. quality stuff. The Choco eclair is pretty good. They have a variety of non veg snacks as well. The pattices are very nice.
Must try :
Snacks -
Chicken Sandwich
Chicken Russian Cutlet
Chicken Croquettes
Chicken Pattice
Chicken Puff
Pastries -
Chocolate Truffle
Blueberry Cheesecake
Baked Cheese
Choco Eclair
Choco lava
Called for the veggie burger and chicken Mayo sandwich... All of which was freshly made and nice. I love this place as they also deliver sliced bread and Pao through food delivery service providers..not many bakeries around the area do so
The Hot Buns outlet is a small outlet which almost always crowded. They serve some of the best pastries, puff and croissants.
We ordered chocolate chip which was soft, moist and chocolatey. While the crispy chicken roll is a definite must try. It is crunchy, crispy and the chicken is perfectly done. The stuffed croissant is nice.
Service is friendly.
They have the weirdest twist to an eclair.
It's not exactly a choux pastry, but it's pretty darn good.
The filling is more chocolate frosting than anything but... It's quite interesting.
Lemon tarts have a nice lemon curd filling but the tart short crust pastry could be flakier. Same with the chocolate tarts.
Chocolate balls and doughnuts that are too doughy.
But... Try the hazelnut pastry for sure... I could swear they use Nutella in it.
The other pastries are, to be honest, nothing special but the baked cheesecake is decent
A nice small cake shop in I c colony. Like their choco lava cake and their Russian chicken cutlets. Their biscuits are also good. They pastries look good of which I have tried some which turned out tasty. A good budget friendly shop. My son loves their mini donuts.
Hot buns is an amazing place if your craving for evening snacks. Ch Indiana, ch Manchurian, ch Crossaint, ch burger, ch croquettes and ch crispy are their must try. Their chocolate tarts and plum cake are amazing too.
This is one bakery I'd recommend to anyone and everyone. Located at Kanderpada, Dahisar and IC colony Borivli, this is one place to be.
Ambiance: It's a bakery. Stop looking for ambiance everywhere.
Food: Amazing snacks and pastries. Personal favorite is the Chicken Indiana Roll and the chicken manchurian roll. Also love the Russian cutlets, burgers and pattice.
Favorite sweets include chocolate balls, caramel custard and mousse. Do not go without tasting their awesome eclairs. Best thing you'll have that day.
Service: Again, it's a bakery. You pay, they give.
Amazing little bakery. Had chicken rolls n took garlic breads many times. Chicken roll was gr8 n garlic bread was awesome. Hope to see one more outlet in Dahisar East nw.
Beginning
My sisters & I were just walking outside of Bistro on the Go after a really disappointing experience, we were just walking a little ahead to wanting to try something
sweet there we found to two shops of opposite sides on the road to each other - Bangalore Iyengari & Hot Buns.
My sister does not like Bangalore (different branch) & I also had a similar disappointing experience, so we decided to try Hot Buns.
---------------------
Appearance
It's a small bakery that you won't see unless you are trying to find it (Before they put a standee which easily attracts attention).
It not very attention grabbing & which does not give much confidence in their ability.
It has in total three cabinets two for pastries & other sweet baked goods & the third cabinet that is in inner part of the shop that has the savory baked goods with a sign hanging at the top of the wall for the discount of 30% after 9 pm on certain stuff.
---------------------
Service
Nothing to say about the service, it feels a bit slow when there are more customers since on my many visits there was only one person to manage the whole shop in the afternoon, but it wasn't much of a problem for me as he was good at communication.
At night there are two staff who manage but they are not that good at interaction as the afternoon guy.
The shop it look like only keeps two variation of small sized box, so at the most two pastries can be fit in a box.
According to me that is a good thing plus they have are stored plastic container which also decreases the chance of the pastries touching each other in transit.
---------------------
Food
On my many visits to this place I have tried many different things but limited to sweet baked stuff - pastries, tarts, some other baked goods & weird macaroons. (Opinions on savory goods is not included)
In pastries: Chocolate Truffle - Sponge felt slightly dry but the truffle used satisfying enough to overlook the overall taste.
Choco Hazelnut - I was a little disappointed to find no brownie in their shop(in my last visit found out they keep their brownies & muffins on top of the counter in the interior of the shop).
But found out upon eating this pastry that the chocolate sponge used was not the standard sponge expect in normal cakes, it was a brownie base used as layers with chocolate in between.
It was probably their best pastry of all the pastries I have tasted there.
Baked Cheesecake - This probably one of the cheapest baked cheesecake I have ever come across, it had a decent taste, but it wasn't complete cooked in the inner part so it had a similar texture to normal unheated lava cake instead of the rich pastry like texture that is expected of well done baked cheesecake.
I was extremely disappointed with the Caramel Custard & the Bread Pudding.
While both of them had a okay texture of what is expected of them, they were barely sweet so it wasn't really up to mark of what is expected of them & isn't worth one more try.
Even the macaroons were really weird not at all like any of the previous macaroons tried at different places.
It was hollow for the most part & the first thing you think after eating is that it tastes like 'Besan Ladoo but had more crisp to it'.
The cupcakes were a bit odd, it was mixed bag of result as the chocolate cupcake was good but felt that the blueberry cupcake was a bit too moist.
Also a weird thing to note the frosting on top of them were almost twice the size of the cupcakes & thanks to travelling by rickshaw a little bit was spread on the container.
Muffins were a bit of a surprise, I tried both Blueberry & the chocolate one.
The blueberry muffin had a filling of blueberry jam at the centre which was really surprising, and help to give a overall good taste & thankfully the muffin was moist enough to appetizing.
Thanks to the blueberry one I got my hope up high of expecting a chocolate filling in the centre & sadly it wasn't there, but thankfully the muffin was still good with a lot of chocolate chips, a bit dry but was still expected of chocolate muffin.

Ending
FINAL OUTPUT - While the interior of the shop does not inspire confidence in a new customer, but once you try their products one's mind be easily swayed.
It's a really good shop to buy pastries at cheap cost & could easily be considered a better alternative to Monginis which is situated just a min walk away from the shop.
A small bakery with nice food. Tried the pepper chicken roll and chicken mini mayo roll as well as chocolate eclair and mini cupcake. The pepper chicken roll stood out for its great taste. Nice for a quick bite!
This outlet provides a wide range of rolls both veg and non veg.....they r all great ,their culets are also good......but after having their patices I felt little disappointed so I am giving them 3.5 stars.....but their roll must be tried especially their chicken Manchurian and their croshant .....
Very local joint, have been having the rolls and croissants for as long as I remember. It used to be a staple take away brunch during on site visits for around a year or so. amazing quality, very consistent, with options of spicy and very mellow tastes. The chicken puff is something you cant miss. Love this joint.
