Bengalis love food. And woe betide those who pass off ordinary food as Bengali food. Fortunately, Feeast@East passes the muster. I tried the Koraishutir Kochuri, fried rice, Chicken curry and chaanar daalna.

It was good. In fact, it was very, very good. The spices were perfect. The chunks of chicken were decent sized. And the kochuri had a nice layer of peas.

All in all. a pretty good dining experience. Looking forward to another visit.

A small restaurant tucked in between many along Mahim main road. We were delighted to visit this place on a lazy Monday night.

Ordered Luchi, Mutton Kosha, Chicken Korma and Roomali Roti.
Mutton Kosha was deliciously yummy. Perfectly cooked and decently spiced. Chicken Korma was well cooked perfectly spiced tender pieces of chicken doused in mildly spiced gravy. The quantity was enough for 2 people to have a heavy meal. We were 3 of us and not so hungry so this did the trick.

We ended the meal with Mishti Doi and were thoroughly disappointed. The doi was crystallized and we could only taste crystals of ice in it. That spoilt the experience a little.

Overall a good place to visit. I had heard they are closing the restaurant and will only be open for deliveries so do call and check before visiting.

The decor is pleasant and the walls are decked with poster jokes.

Delivery took so long today being dahi handi too 90 mins totally. I was too hungry to wait. Ordered online through zomato and had to wait. Finally it arrived very neatly packed through scoosty. I ordered boneless butter chicken in main course which was spicy but yummyiliously delicious. Only if it was not dat spicy. Anyways was too hungry to not devour the food. Quantity of the food was surprising as it felt it's half the box filled. I read in the reviews that the quantity is not good n true experienced it today. Next i desserts ordered zafran firni which came neatly covered in aluminium foil and in an earthen pot. Oh so yummy it was! Delicious!!
I just wish if they could increase the quantity for all food items as their pricing is high. Their service has to improve alot ie the delivery time.
Food is amazingly good sure all foodies got to try this place!!

It is sort of surprising that i have not reviewed this place yet!! being from  Odisha/West Bengal, the food served here is really close to me!! Reading the menu itself ...gives me so much joy!! those familiar names... #purenostalgia !! You have to have their kolkata biryani ..even the veg one is awesome!!..and the alu dum paired with Koraishutir kochuri is heaven!! .. their cholar daal and luchi puri..omg!!
I simply love this place...albeit i find it a little expensive considering the portion size of the food they serve!

I had heard alot about this place from my friends so thought of giving this a try...i opted for a takeaway.i ordered for the murgh tikka and murgh reshmi tikka on recommendation of the owner...the kebabs were freshly prepared in front of me and packed...after coming home i laid my hands on the murgh tikka which was a well made kebab with the right amouny of flavours...next had the reshmi which was mild which should be in case of reshmi and nicely made...i would like to try their fare from kolkatta to give them a proper review.

Ordered their full mutton biryani and chicken chaap with gravy woth two roomalis. The biryani is typically hyderabadi with two pieces of mutton ( my luck one was a huge chunk of just fat) which lacked salt, any other vegetables except potato and generally too mild for me. The chaap gravy saved the biryani so just the chaap and roomali saved the day. Charged 60/- for delivery for about 3km....

This is one of the best things which has happened to me off lately!

It's really strange to see how hospitality and humbleness can add up marvellously to one's experience of dining at a restaurant. Not very long ago, I had a pathetic experience with this place with regards to food ordering. I don't want to go into the details of it, but I had actually written a horrible review for it and reached out to Zomato as well. Then one fine day, I get a management reply apologizing for the inconvenience caused and reaching out to me over call. This was Sougata, the owner of the restaurant. A very gentle and well-behaved personality, who then invites me for a dinner at his restaurant for two. And trust me when I say that it changed my notion of never ordering food from here again to I will definitely come back.

Everyone, starting from the manager to the helpers woo'd me with their service. I engaged in hearty conversations with the young chaps working over there and not to forget the kickass food I ate. I was offered a Fish Thali and my friend was offered a Mutton Thali, which had a host of other things. Everything was so fresh and so homely. I would strongly recommend them if you are craving for some quality Bengali food at affordable prices. Until next time!

Foodie cheers!

We had tried yesterday few typical bengali items for takeaway, like, potoler dolma, pabda jhal & kochi pathar jhol. All the item were made very authentically. Specially Potoler Dolma was superb in taste. We will definitely go there to taste there other speciality item.

Sougata the owner is become a good friend. The first time I tried this place for my dad's birthday and did like a set menu for my 10+ guests and Sougata and his team did a brilliant job. We had ordered baigan bhaja, steamed fish, fish cutlet and their cheese chicken tikka which were out of the world. The main course had yummy chicken biryani and mutton koshe with luchi. We were also served bengali version of aam panna and yummy mango chutney as dessert. I am writing this review post some 5 mths and things are crystal clear so you can imagine mh experience :)

Thanks Sougata for being a wonderful host and for not just the wonderful food but for the home like service. I do not think the wait one should mind for the delicious food of this kind. Freshness always takes a while :) and we know that!

I found this place through Zomato while searching for affordable but authentic Bengali restaurant to satisfy our Bong cuisine cravings on the Bengali New Year's day. It's a small shop and is easy to miss. They have a quirky and interesting decor with painted humour all over the walls which make up for the limited seating. The thalis are a very good option if one wants to taste many items but it takes a lot of time to prepare the thalis. We had :

Mutton Cutlet - a fantastic starter for the journey ahead into the depths of Calcutta cuisine

Shukto - A special Bengali delicacy with karela which is traditionally taken before the main courses

One Mutton Thali and Two Fish Thalis with Pabda fish - Each thali includes:

Two luchis (bengali deep fried puri) with Aloo-r Dum - a fantastic rendition of a Bengali homely dum-aloo
Plain rice - very good quality basmati rice
Moong dal - well balanced and tasty
Jhurjhure Aloo Bhaja - very thin slices of fried potato - not really great, can be much better
Phool Kopir Torkari - perfect Bengali style Gobi sabzi
Tomato chutney - very tasty, a bit too sweet for the uninitiated palates
Payesh (rice kheer) - an aromatic bengali dessert
The Pabda fish were fresh and well cooked in a mild curry
The Mutton curry was absolutely fabulous

Service was slow because of the huge crowd on that particular day although the staff tried their best to manage the pressure.

I hope they open branches in the south (Fort-Churchgate-Colaba area) to cater to the huge base of Bengali food aficionados

Chanced upon this place while surfing Zomato and what better day to visit than Poila Boisakh ( Bengali New Year). Tucked in a small corner on the busy streets of Mahim, you do take sometime initially to spot this place amidst the numerous shops and eateries. Well the ambience is nice, if I may call the type I prefer- peaceful and homely. The graffitis on the walls are interesting and add to the enigma. The staff is courteous and warm. We found the service a little slow, however given the special day and consequently the no of take aways, I wouldn't want to judge the service quality right away. We ordered the traditional Bengali thali- Veg thali for myself and Fish thali for the husband. We started with luchi and aloor dom and that set the tone for the evening. It was delicious and not too oily. This was followed by rice, moong dal with peas, aloo gobhi, aloo jhuri bhaja, aam papad chutney, payesh ( rice kheer) and chanar dalna ( paneer koftas in Bengali gravy)/ papda maach. The food was sumptuous and the quantity just right. Each dish was well made and served with love :) We ate to our hearts content or as my husband puts it , till we were filled to our eyeballs :) and the bill? Well, a reasonable Rs 700 for two. Personally elated to have found a great place for Bong cuisine in Mumbai!

Kebabs are really tasty & are made on a live counter at the entrance.
Biryani had subtle flavours of spices. Felt dry after few morsels. But somehow I did like it as it wasn't unnecessarily spicy.
Tried nicely made Aam pora shorbot which seemed the only traditional drink option on menu.
The person on the counter was polite, gave suggestions & took feedback.
This place wasn't much crowded.
Service was a bit slow but friendly.
Hygine levels are maintained.
A lot of attention is given on aesthetics.
They have used their walls aptly by putting on a mural where traditions of Mumbai & Kolkata are represented. Loved the way Howrah Bridge & Sea-Link were shown.
It's good to observe the wall as few preparations might take sometime.
All in all a decent experience !

Discovered this place by chance while surfing thru Zomato. I regularly travel to Kolkata so am very familiar with Bengali cuisine. I ordered betki paturi and some kathi rolls and was careful not to order more since I had never eaten from Feeast @ East. But, I was pleasantly surprised with the food. The betki is comparable to Oh! Calcutta at a fraction of the cost. The kathi rolls both chicken and mutton was much better that I have eaten at many places in Kokata and possible the best in Mumbai. I can't wait to try some more Bengali food from this place in the future.

Feeast@ East is one of the very few Bengali restaurants on this side of the Sea Link, so I was raring to go there ever since I heard about it from friends. A very tiny restaurant, it is very neatly furnished and decorated with witty one-liners and cute illustrations all over. The service is very warm and polite, apart from being lively and attentive. We chose to have dimer dalna  (a thick egg curry) and Katla kalia (a thick fish curry) with luchi, and boy, were we impressed! The luchi was hot, crispy and delightfully puffed up, while both the gravies were delicious, servings were generous and the fish was cooked well. Considering the large menu they have on offer, I will surely go back to the restaurant very soon.

We visited this place fr Dinner on one fine Saturday evening. Place is pretty small n cosy. Most of the staff here is Bengali as is menu. We ordered Prawn tikka, 2 fish thalis and awadhi mutton biryani.

Prawn tikka was tasty n meaty as well. Prawns were really well fed as was evident frm their size.

In fish thali we decided to try different fishes one was Bhetki n other was Pabdar. Thali is very much filling with a good typical Bengali taste to the food. They served pretty amazing achar made of dates n kaju. They serve rice dal n kheer as well with thali which tasted awesome.

Awadhi mutton biryani was awesome and is a must try. We were stomach full by the time it arrived thanks to fish thali nevertheless we couldn't let it skip as it smelled amazing. Standing true to our expectations it tasted superb.

If you want to try typical Bengali cuisine please try this place. Staff is very courteous. Manager came in person to get the feedback.

We will be Going Again fr sure.

The service is the best I've got here in Mumbai by far.

Ordered home for the first time yesterday. Hence would not be able to comment on the ambience/decor etc..However, the delivery was prompt. The dishes were avadh biryani ( mutton), Alu postho, Shukto, and bhetki paturi.
Loved the food. The biryani was lightly spiced and aromatic.
Found the paturi a bit oily, but with great flavour. The Shukto was a hit. The only thing that could have been better was the Alu Poshto..but guess this too differs home to home, and by itself was tasty.

If you're a non-vegetarian, like chicken/mutton, you HAVE to eat this biriyani! That's it. Summarised. Rightly christened as 'feast' from the kitchens of Bengal, their home delivery is now a staple for wowing my guests at house parties. Chicken/mutton biriyani, with some chicken chap or bharta, and firni to close the deal. If you've tasted this often or looking for something lighter, go for the rolls or the mughlai parathas. Pure Bliss.

Even for Non-Bengalis like us who have grown-up on bengali food always yearns to have some mean Bengali food in Bombay (Mumbai). Other than the over-priced 'Oh Calcutta' and yummy-liscious 'Bong Bong' (in Bandra) we had nowhere else to go within the boundaries of Bombay. Hence, we couldn't wait to satiate the bong in us.

All that we ordered was really good and delicious. Although it's absolutely impossible to create the flavors that matches the food in West Bengal as there are too many stat-specific factors that influences the cuisine, this was not bad at all. In fact, it was quite good and close to the original flavors. One thing that works for them (and for us, the customers) is that they serve dishes that are rarely offered by other restaurants. Like the Peas-stuffed Puri (Koraishutir Luchi), Dhokar Dalna (Channa Dal Kofta curry), traditional bengali Mixed-Vegetable (Shukto), Chicken / Mutton Rezala, Fish in Musturd Paste (Bhetki Paturi), Biryani, Daal with fish Head (Muri Ghonto), etc.

But, since they offer different than the usual variety, their menu isn't too elaborate, less diverse and has very little to offer to the vegetarian's palette. West Bengal is not only known for the seafood or non-veg fare, but they have one of the best Vegetarian fares too. I wish we could have seen more of that....especially Bengali Starters and Main-Course. When we tried to place the order for chutney, they said they didn't have any...which was highly disappointing. Portions are small for the price we pay. That's where it loses to get an 'Very Good' / 'Excellent' from us.

High on Hospitality, Good Taste is not the only requisite for a restaurant to succeed. There's lot for them to Improve on, which if they manage to figure out, no one can stop them from being very successful.

Definitely returning back to sample some more.

Good Place for fast food.. The Chicken Roll was amazing... mouth watering and too filling..priced at 120Rs for a roll with the size  being really huge is just perfect... cant wait to try out the other stuff like the biryani which I have heard is really good... would have loved it more if they had more variety and options for the rolls...

Hospitality par excellence is what this small eatery on the Mahim main road boasts of. When we specifically speak of hospitality, food incidentally becomes a part of it. As the famous saying by George Bernard Shaw goes “There is no sincerer love than the love of food” and if you are a Bengali, or have a Bengali friend, neighbor or even a far far acquaintance, who better than you will know that Bengalis live to eat and not eat to live. The love of food runs in their blood and they make sure as a host you are treated as royal as possible.

Not long ago, this used to be my favorite place for Bengali style biryani, but unfortunately they shut down the Kalina branch.

So one fine afternoon, craving the food from my homeland, we made our way to the Mahim joint and got some food packed for lunch. And well the quality was not the same, and I wonder why, since they always had a centralized kitchen.

The Chicken and Mutton Biryanis were just about fine - the chicken pieces were good, but the mutton pieces were not. The potato tasted okay, but not as good as it was even a month back. I will rate Hangla's biryani above this place now.

Chicken Kosha - This was good. But not excellent. And it is well enjoyed with the Lachha Parathas they serve.

Mutton Rezala - The gravy looks like the authentic Rezala but is nowhere near it. To sweet and creamy, the curd and onion based flavor is grossly missing here.

Chicken Chanp - This was the best item we had that afternoon. For the first time in Mumbai, I had a Chanp which comes close to the taste I am so familiar with from Kolkata. Loved it a lot.

Yes, Feeast@East serves good Bengali food, but there is still a lot to be improved. I wish all the luck to them.

Loved the food and the ambience too... Started with the cooler aam Panna which was yummilicious. Then comes the starters Kolkata's special bhetki fish fry which was crispy and delicious and the resmi kebab was soft and melting. If you are really missing the Kolkata style biryani that is the biryanis from Arsalan/Aminia /zeeshan then Feeast @East is a must visit. And finally comes the amsotto anarosher chutney which was finger licking.
Thank you Feeast @East for serving such delicious food.

A delightful little restaurant with authentic Bengali and Awadhi cuisine. Tried their fish fry, fish finger, chicken cutlets, chicken momos, mutton biriyani and even the veg chop. All in all the owners take their food very seriously. The service was prompt and would remind any true blue Bengali son in law of "jamai shoshthi". The finger foods were all served with homestyle potato wedges that compliments the food very well. The chicken as well as the fish was of very good quality and was soft and retained the flavour of the fillings. The coatings were a crisp but thin film that didn't steal the show from what was inside. The biriyani was as close as it gets to the Kolkata style awadhi biriyani with an over sized but we'll seasoned potato, fine quality basmati rice and the show stopper mutton well seasoned and perfectly cooked (just falling off the bone). The end was with a chutney that had the right mix of sweetness and acidity. All the portions were generous and style of plating was simple yet delightful. By far the best in Kolkata cuisine I have tried anywhere outside of Kolkata. It's a must visit and I assure you they will have you coming back for more.

Think Bengali cuisine , think feeast @ East! Known for their take away's they have recently come up with their first dine in outlet in Mahim , near paradise cinema. They basically operate on a hub and spoke model wherein the food is prepared in their wadala outlet , packed and sent to the other outlets. This particular outlet in Mahim has a nice ambiance. A painting on one of the wall shows how they are bringing in the authentic taste of Bengal to Mumbai. We were invited for a tasting session here.
My vegetarian platter included the following:
1) aam panna shorbet - Made from raw mangoes this drink is my favorite cooler. They made it so well with the perfect balance of sweet and sour !
2) Veg cutlet - These Bengali styled cutlets ( called chop in Bengal) are one of the most popular Bengali street food among a plethora of others! Different than the ones we usually have! The filling was made of beetroot and coconut and the taste was one of a kind.
Roti, dal makhani and aloo bhaja - This is a must try here ! The dal makhani was super super yum and the aloo bhaja was very different than the aloo sabjis I regularly have. A nice dish to entice your taste buds.
Baigan Bhaja - All the baigan lovers out there will love it ! I'm not a baigan fan hence I just had a bite of it! The presentation of this dish is a treat to your eyes *_*
For desserts we had
Pantua - A traditional Bengali sweet which is a deep fried ball of milk, ghee, sugar syrup, chana and semolina. My personal hot favorite *_*
Chatni - This reminded me of amba vadi ! A mango based dessert made to perfection. Try it to believe it!

Feeast@east is highly recommended to all the Bengali cuisine lovers out there! Authenticity at it's best is what defines this place :)

A relatively new Bengali restaurant in Mahim, the food was well cooked and Delicious to eat. Was especially impressed by the koraishotir kochuri...after a long time finally ate some good kochuri in a Bengali restaurant. The portions are good to be shared by two people. A friend and I also ordered the Pada mach jal, dal tadka with egg and egg moghlai paratha.

Overall would recommend the restaurant for the food...ambiance wise it doesn't give a true Bengali feel but the food doesn't disappoint you.

It is a fantastic place to enjoy awadhi and bengali cuisine. We went there on Kaalipuja night and ordered their speciality, cheese chicken kebab and tangdi kebab. Both were just superb. In the main course, we ordered awadhi mutton biryani, chicken curry, chicken stuffed kulcha, roomali roti, chicken bharta. The taste was ecstatic for all the dishes. Just one suggestion, please check with the chicken vendor. It was smelling bad. But I had my quota of awesome taste and I am pretty happy. Want them to include firni in their menu. Please do visit this joint if you are north indian (awadhi) and bengali food lover.

This restaurant has been renamed to Feeast@East from Lazeez. Lazeez is one of the best chain of restaurants in Kolkata specializing in Bengali & Awadhi cuisine. The cook/s is/are same (Lazeez cook/s) here in the restaurant, only the name has changed. The overall ambience, decor is beautiful. The wall paintings are equally artistic & adorable. We had chicken curry, mutton biryani, chicken bharta, roonali roti, chicken stuffed kulcha, cheese chicken kebab.

At first they forgot to give chicken stuffed kulcha & brought us plain kulcha. Had to remind them again that we had ordered chicken stuffed kulcha & eventually when it came, we couldn't find any chicken stuffed inside the kulcha yet they claimed it's chicken kulcha. The curry of the chicken curry tasted marvellous & too good but the chicken pieces were pathetic & smelly. Had to throw away the chicken pieces.

The prices are very much on the high side.

So, It was the last day of the last series of internals. The Date was coinciding with Mahanavami *Ninth day of Navratri* and the Durga Pujo mood was in full swing. *My bong genes were desperate for some pujo time action* , so after quite a pandelhopping *yes that's a word* where I had a scrumptious Malai Gola from a Random Gola Wala stall at the Bengal Club Durga Pujo, Shivaji Park. It was the unwillingness of ours which prevented us to Dine At Bhojohori Manna, Oshiwara. So me, and my whole bong crew decided to have some nice Bengali Food, nearby. So after much research. We settled for this place. Located Right Opposite of Paradise cinema, this place Serves Kababs, Awadhi and Bengali food. So we sat down, first impressions - Nice and cozy atmosphere, the waiter at the Table was a Bengali guy, so It was very welcoming. So for starters we had bengali style fish fingers, and Moghlai Porotha. Mughlai porotha was unexpectedly well made, crisp on the top, the mutton filling was melt in the mouth and yum. For maincourse we had - Murgir Jhol(Chicken curry), Posto Chicken (Chicken cooked in a green colored sauce with a poppy seed base) Kosha Mangsho ( A Dry Preparation of mutton, which wasn't dry at all) Ever so favourite Hing Aloor Dom (Potatoes cooked in a red gravy flavoured with asafetida on a slow flame) with Koraishutir Kochuri (Deep Fried Indian bread, stuffed with a mashed green pea filling) and Luchi. All Washed down with a glass of Aam Pora shorbot (A beverage made up of charred raw mango pulp mixed with sugar and a subtle flavor of cumin which lingers in your mouth, leaving you wanting more) Total Damage 2200 for 6 people. Almost 360 a head. Ps. The service was slow, due to lack of staff. So if you're eating here, or planning to just be patient, because good things come to those who wait. After all may be there is some truth in it. Cheers to good food. Keep Hoggin'

A fresh lease of life for my taste buds... I left wanting more...... I have been a regular customer of the Feeast @ East outlets for over a year now. Decidedly, I am hooked to the tasty rolls, the succulent momos and the fragrant biryani which continue to comfort and satisfy my palate.

When I came to know, that Feeast @ East has opened up a sitting restaurant at Mahim. I wasted little time to pay heed to my cravings and found my way to the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised with the place. Its clean, its comfy and very tastefully done. I particularly liked the thought put in by the owners, who has installed a charging point on each table. After having spent a minute, even before I had ordered food, I could perceive that this place was built with a lot of thought and passion. This is always a good start.

Having perused the menu, I was quite happy to see the variety at offer. As I am partial towards the awadhi fare, I decided to plunge into the mutton biryani, along with mutton chaap, mutton rezala, and laccha paratha. The biryani was sublime. The meat was tender and moist. The chaap and rezala were typically Calcuttan. Owing to the generous servings I was quite full and could not sample any further. I would definitely try the kosha magsho and the quintessential Bengali fare on offer on my next visit.

Thank you Feeast @ East for the wonderful experience. I hope to return to your restaurant soon and continue to enjoy great food. It is my belief that good food compliments good aadda with friends. This place is perfect for it.

I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

I went all the way from Malad to Mahim to have food at feeast@east as my friend recommended that we must go there. I must say that trip was totally worth it.
Being a Bengali from Kolkata, what I missed the most is the Bengali food and Kolkata style biriyani, chaap and rezala which I hardly get in Bombay, and the menu of feeast@east offers all these dishes and much more.
After entering this place, we were pretty much impressed with the decor and the ambience. The wall decor was a fusion of Kolkata and Mumbai with the Howrah and the worli sea link...quite thoughtful and very impressive. The other funny quotes on the wall is super cool. They even offer free wi fi!
Next comes the food...the main part. For starters we had ordered a fish fry, fish orly and chicken cheese kebab. All three of them were really good. The fish fry had the typical taste of Kolkata, and fish orly was as soft and buttery as its supposed to be, the chicken cheese kebab was also very good.
For main course, we wanted to order the biriyani, but unfortunately it was over as it was quite late... I will go back again just for the biriyani. So I ordered a chicken chaap and lachha parantha and my other friends ordered a basanti pulao with kochi pathar mangshor jhol. All the dishes were up to the mark, and quantity was quite good. The chicken chaap was almost same as Kolkata's Arsalan's or Zeeshan's. At the end we ordered for a plastic chutney. It reminded me of my mom's plastic chutney.
Loved the food and will definitely come back.
Two suggestions:
1. The prices of the starters can be little cheaper.
2. The dessert varieties are lesser. You can include patishapta, chomchom, payesh and firni etc in your menu.

Let me start from the beginning – how many times have I complained of the absence of a good restaurant in the Mahim/Shivaji Park area after watching a play or concert in Veer Savarkar Auditorium? Tertullia is always full when shows get over around 10.30pm, and we have no option but to go to Kakori House. For, we have to drive back to Powai. Many a times we have even done the rounds of Bandra lanes, but to no avail, since most joint are packed at that hour with long waiting time. But now, no more. Feeast @East has opened a restaurant in Mahim.

Their first sit-down restaurant, Feeast at East, offers a new experience in the Mahim area starved of good restaurants. From a predominantly Bengal cuisine earlier, they now offer an excellent range of tandoor options both in Chicken and Mutton. And yes, Paneer and Mushrooms too. Replacing the Lazeez restaurant, the new outlet offers mouth-melting Reshmi Kebabs, Mutton Sheekhs, Chicken Tengri, Mutton Kebabas alongwith their iconic Biryanis and Bengali dishes.

What I fell in love with was their new-age décor showcasing the metting of Kolkata and Mumbai. Absolutely awesome! And what adds to the fun are the quirky cartoons across the two side walls with humorous quotes. The other thing that could be one of Feeast @ East’s biggest draw is the fact that ther offer FREE WiFi! And every table has a charging point. How thoughtful and how in line with today’s times…..!

And now, let’s get back to the food. We had a whole range of kebabs that we mentioned above and each one of them were excellent. The mutton sheekh kebab is one of the juiciest i have had in Mumbai. Make sure you order the Reshmi Kebabs and Tengri too. They are out of the world! The Cheese Chicken Kebab was a little too heavy and dry for us though. And then, the incorrigible Bongs that we are, we requested Fish Fry, Kosha Mangsho-Luchi and Mutton Biryani Bengali style. Their Fish Fry and Biryani are one of the BEST in town – have called for the same at home too in the past, much to the delight of guests who came over. Desserts include Bengali Chutneys, Mishti Doi and Rasagulla. Perfect end to an awesome meal, I say.

They are value for money, well-located and serve awesome food. We’d strongly ask you to GO. Go Go Go!

We entered this newly opened restaurant at Mahim on the first day!!! It serves mainly Bengali food at reasonable prices, good sized portions, fast and very good and attentive service.

We ordered fish fingers, kochi pathar jhol, luchis, aam porar sharbat, mutton Awadhi biryani and chutney of the day. The bhekti fish fingers came with potato wedges accompanied by kashundi (mustard), the mutton ribs in the kochi pathar jhol were a bit rare though the taste was great. The mutton Awadhi biryani was the find of the day and the mutton was so well cooked it was falling off the bones and the rice with potatoes and boiled egg was just fantastic. The aam porar sharbat was very good and the chutney of the day was lovely too, reminding my Bengali wife of the way her grandmother made it at home. All in all a great evening out, eating great food and discussing with the two owners about the running of their restaurant and how to promote it. Very interesting evening out. Definitely going back there for more!!!
