Avarya is like Santacruz’s best street food joint! Outside the shop you get amazing chaat, mouthwatering frankies, potato twisters, fries & amazing Maggi & dosas too!! It’s the local comfort zone 🤪♥️
In this area we require something very good and tasty and trust me avarya has some of the best food items and plus the pani puri stall is yum, they do have some dry snacks go check out this place which is so attractive in that area !!!!
Avarya is a store synonymous with fresh, varied food :) It has lot of hot farsan, misthan (sweets), imported food items and choclates, everyday naashtha like khakhra, wafers, chivda, etc.
Just outside the store, many food stalls are there - You will get variety of snacks like - Dabeli, Frankie, Sandwich, Maggi, Pasta & Chat options. All are reasonably priced and made fresh in front of you.
What I Love eating @ Avarya -
1. Mumbaiya maggi - Lots of fresh veggies cooked with our fav masala maggi and served piping hot.
2. Dabeli - Mast amul butter mai toast ki huyi Dabeli
3. Frankie - Spicy aloo filling in Yummy thin rolls of atta with lots of frankie masala
4. Pani Puri - Super duper yummy and fresh tikha paani made with bisleri water
5. Paneer Capsicum Samosa - Please try their Paneer capsicum samosa (available in raw form inside the store. You can deep fry or air fry at home). They are the best.
6. Kand ni wafers - Purple yam crispy wafers - May seem a tad oily but there are yummy
7. Zillions of Modaks during Ganpati festival - I havent seen more variety in Modaks anywhere in Mumbai during the festival.
This place is literally less than a km away from home so we frequently flock to it to buy food items and relish the fresh food prepared there.
All in all a hangout place for youngsters & great place to buy food items.
P.S. Right outside its food stalls, there is an excellent Dosawala as well ;) Extremely tasty, vfm dosas. Also an eggless cake shop is adjacent to Avarya making it a hub for food.
A go to place for mithai farsan pooranpoli methi theplas
Meetha Paan
Their kalakand is just melt in the mouth awesome
This outlet serves sandwiches as well
Situated near Poddar school at the corner of a crossroad , Avarya sells awesome gajar halwa with the sugar being just right
Liked their blueberry preparation as well
Paans are a staple gift and yes their pedas esp kesar one is a must try
But we bought the khandavi which turned out to be a little bad but they very graciously replaced it with gajar Halwa
They sell bread dosa paste as well
Also recommend their mukhwas
Love the indian sweets here
People are friendly to help you out n they are happy to give u samples to try when choosing , yummy treats healthy treats , sugar free sweets too
My favs are the sesame bars (chiki ) the milk cake , rose barfis & choc fudge .... it’s divine !!
If you are thinking of indian sweets & snacks this is the best place in mumbai !💜
Tried the Franky here today and the cheese fries. Absolutely loved the food! The noodle cheese Franky was to die for! Definitely coming here again 😍
‘Avarya’ - is located near Poddar School in Santa Cruz West.
One should not think of walking to the place as it is far from Santa Cruz Station.🚉
They have a variety of snacks like Dabeli, Vada Pav, Maggi, Frankie( of different types) etc.
We tried:
1. Dabeli 🧡
2. Masala Maggi💛
Both of these items tasted good 👌
Quality of food is good.
Reasonably priced.
There’s no sitting arrangement so one has to stand and eat.

Great place to shop for food items. Varities of Dhoklas, Samosas and wide variety of Mithais. They have huge range of exotic dryfruits as well. A must visit place.
Finally some new places to eat in Santa Cruz west.
Snacks over there are pretty good.
Variety is pretty much the same stuff you get everywhere in Santa Cruz.
The dosa guy just outside the store seems to be more in demand.
We took a parcel order, including dhoklas, cheese dhoklas and Undhiyo.
The food was really good
Dhoklas, both varieties were very fresh and tasty.
Undhiyo was too oily, but I guess that's the way it has to be.
Will try their other varieties again
If there are two things we Gujjus love, they are - dancing and eating!!
Well lucky for us, this month we can enjoy both these things together!! As Navratri celebrations continue in full swing, and the garba dance goes on, I found just the place to satiate our hunger from all that dancing! Avarya!!
I recently visited Avarya, Santacruz to try out some of their various Farsaan and sweets! You HAVE to visit the store to believe the enormous variety of dhoklas, namkeens and indian sweets on display! Over 20 kinds of Dhokla from the traditional Khaman Dhokla to new variations such as Corn Mayo Dhokla, Chutney Sandwich Dhokla, Paneer Dhokla, Pizza Dhokla etc!
My personal favorite is the Schezwan Roll Dhokla, with the soft fermented batter dunked in spicy schezwan sauce! What a combo 😍
I also tried some of their freshly made Jalebi deep fried in pure kesar oil! Mmm just thinking about it makes my mouth water! 😍 they've got a ton of Desi Mithais too, from Pedas to Ladoos to Shrikhands and Halwas! Oh and for the diet conscious, worry not.. The workout in garba won't go in vain, they've got sweets in low fat sugar less options too😈
Do head to one of their stores, and tell me what you end up savoring from their massive variety! 😀
Happy Navratri Yall!!

Visited Avarya yesterday. Tried pani-puris and liked it quite a lot - soft, perfect balance of sourness and spice!
Happened to try milkcakes, and I could say that it was one of the best milkcakes that I've had in Mumbai. It was slightly over baked, which is how a good milkcake should be.
Will try more things soon from here soon!
Their Khaman Dhokla is very good, soft and perfectly moist. Simply melts in the mouth. Their Khandvi was average, the garnishing was lacking. Kachori was average, little soft as they store it in the open.
Their collection of sweets are really amazing. I love their Boondi Ladoos. Staff was very polite and they provide you with samples so that you can choose what you want to buy.
Will definitely visit again just for the Dhoklas!
Avarya is like a normal sweet shop which of course has sweets and also snack, namkeens etc. You can get huge variety in namkeens. Jalebi with rose petals over it tastes yum. Sev puri & gol gappe tastes okay okay. They have newly started tornado potato which tastes well. Over all the shop is pretty decent to visit.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think Avarya is the variety of snack and farsan items on offer. Really nice Paneer Samosas. Has a large variety in the diet farsan section. Very well stocked on dry fruits, chocolates and eatables. Place is a must visit and am sure no foodie worth their pedigree will be able to walk out empty handed. Chat and Dabeli counter also available. All in all an interesting place to shop for ready to eat stuff. Has a decent offering in the Indian sweets dept but comparisons with other better known sweet meets brands are inevitable. Kaju Katli and Yellow pedha are good. Jalebi also is good.
Nov 13: Avarya is known for sweets. The quality of the sweets is very good. They also have chaat outside. The paani puri tastes good. We purchased the kaju katli. They also have the kaju katli in strawberry flavour which is unique and the taste is super. They also have a sandwich one which has jelly in between.
I had pani puri here today which was too good! There is a lot of variety here in food which I loved. They made me taste paneer jalebi which was yumm. The service is fantastic! The staff is very good, well mannered and well trained. They take good care of all their customers. The price is worth the quality.
Really good and hygienic chaats, they use bisleri water to make their pani puri and they also wear gloves. Used to love eating at this place while studying at the podar santacruz campus.
Lots of variety. The dosa and the medu wada wala outside is just too good btw! Good snack and stuff. Expensive but good (since you don't get those kind of freshly cooked stuff anywhere around)..
Avarya. I just love this place. It has grown since it started. The snacks, sweets and savouries are fabulous. The pricing here is on the higher side especially for snack items like khakra, chaklis etc but I feel its a premium they charge since they know there is no other shop that provides the variety they have in an around the place... and I feel it's a fair price for the quality they offer. I would not not mind paying a premium if I am assured of quality and I'm sure many would agree hence we see the rush at this place... it's always buzzing with people. You'll probably get everything you need at this one stop place from Khandvis to dhoklas to chat items to dabelis to frankies to imported products.... everything!
I personally enjoy the place for a quick bite when I'm tired of eating the usual stuff.
Recommended..
One of the best food stores you could ever have.
When you enter the shop, you always have someone guiding you about various snacks available and also if any new snack is come in- you are always offered to try that.
They also have a huge varieties of sweets. And hot snacks as well like dhokla and thepla.
They also have all kinds of cold drinks and dairy products. Plus, they also make Frankie's and other hot food in their premises.
All kind of snacks you are looking for, is available here. Excellent service provided.
Huge variety of things. It's like a shopping mall for crispy items. But rad bit more expensive than other similar places. Staff is extremely nice.
Great stuff...maximum variety of national n internation topping brands available. Excellent quality of dry fruits n sweets..chats are a must have.
Had placed an order for my office party. Packing done well and efficiently with just one small snag. Their food is always amazing. Thank you Jeevika for taking my order and Prakash bhai for ensuring that it was packed well and to the rest of the staff who helped in packing.
It's a great place for food lovers. Here you will find various types of sweets, chocolate and farsan. It is worth it's price. Outside the shop you will get 3 stalls for shev puri, paani puri, sandwich and other stuff. Also there one famous Uttapa and dosa making point. You will love that too. Absolutely fantastic!!!
The food is amazing here they have a huge variety of farsan and snacks and sweets too the staffs are also very friendly Excellent service by their staff kuldeep.
