Located in Shastri Nagar, it is one of the best sweet shops in the Lokhandwala area. What I like best here is the Motichur Laddu. The Kalakand, Milkcake, Rasmalai, Pedas and Samosa are also good. Have heard a lot about their Jalebi, will hopefully try it out soon. The only thing I find annoying about this place is that they don't accept card payment, but seeing the current scenario, I'm sure that will change soon.
Good place to stock up on some indian sweets and snacks. Love the kesar and malai peda here. Samosas are also very tasty. Motichoor ladoo and milk cake are also worth it. Definitely a must try.
The only place that comes to my mind when I think about Indian sweets in Lokhandwala , the only place I like to eat my share of Indian sweets from to be more precise . Some really good ones that I like here are Moong Dal Halwa (seasonal) and milk cake . They taste authentic , fresh and made with pure ghee and just melt into mouth .
My favourite out here though are the Jalebis they make on Sundays which are extremely crispy , fresh and mouthwatering delicious .. you just can't have enough of them .
Some other sweets are quite good too . Overall it's one of the few decent places and my favorite in and around Lokhandwala for Indian sweets .
Have had their pani puri in the evening after a shopping trip. Nice and crisp puris. I liked it. A little expensive I guess from the local pani Puri vendors but that's lokhandwala for u.
I should have reviewed this place loong time ago. Amazing place for its sweets. Their jalebi are served on Sunday mornings only and you cannot ask for a better start than this. Steaming hot and crispy. It's located on outskirts of lokhandwala market . I have a friend who actually craves for their motichoor ke ladoo..
Do try their pani puri and sev puri in evenings.
One of the best places in Andheri West for the most delicious Indian dessert.. Whether it is super soft rasmalai, melt in the mouth mohanthal, or kesar kaju katli - they know how to make it super tasty.
Their chaat items like bhel, sev puri are very hygienic and super tasty too.
Total value for money.
Sweets sweets and sweets. Go for their malai mithaais and other ghee sweets. Its a good mithai shop. Not a restaurant. Snacks are doable here and yes, the mithais do deserve a first time go.
Just like you have a family doctor; we treat Makhan bhog as our sweet doctor!
Serves yummy, fresh sweets. Kesar peda, Anjeer katli, Malai pedha and many more..
The kalakand and basundi are yum!! Whenever there is any occasion ,we order sweets from here. My favorite mithai from Makhan bhog is Kaju sangam. It's not too sweet so you can easily eat two three pieces at a time! ;)
Lived in Mumbai for about 6 years, had pani puri at many places, but nothing beats the one at Maakha Bhog (Shastri Nagar) outlet. The crispy puri and the perfect preparation of sweet and khatta pani made me visit them almost 3-4 times a week. Miss it badly :( entire chaat scene in Bangalore sucks!
It was ganpati time and I was visiting one of my cousins in Lokhandwala so had to carry some sweets as per family traditions. This place was quite closeby to my cousins place so took keshri malai peda along with mohan thal.. To be very honest I was getting tempted to try a few so took one piece of each. Both the sweets were good in terms of taste. The presentation could slightly be better. They had also kept a pani puri section outside so tried that too which was indeed very tasty. A nice place for packaging sweets at a reasonable rate in Mumbai....
The food is fresh and tastes amazing!
Updated review after a few years: on several different occasions we have received spoilt or old sweets, especially milk based mithais and boondi laddoo.
My family and I prefer to go here for the chat now and that's pretty much it.
Do give the pani puri a try (with aloo filling). It is absolutely yum!
Very good taste i am a bigg fan of their sunday special Jalebi & Faffda ππ
Definitely this kaju katli best ever best, I am never eat this type of kaju katliπππ!! The test and softness amazing
You usually get all kinds of sweets here, even Bengali sweets. On Sundays they have hot piping jalebis in the morning. I have been frequenting this place for 15 yrs, the quality stays unchanged.
Very nice βΊοΈπ food and drinks too
Absolutely Delicious & Pure Mithais
