Another major station in the city connecting all of the cities important transport lines like the Mumbai Metro One and the Central railways. Also it connects the Lal Bhadur Shastri Marg (LBS Marg) with the Eastern Express Highway of the city so anyone looking to go from one end of the city to another... Ghatkopar provides decent better routes which are hassle free and fast.

Ghatkopar Railway Station is a crucial transportation hub in Mumbai. It's conveniently located on the Central Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. The station is relatively clean and well-maintained, and it has essential facilities like ticket counters, waiting areas, and food stalls. The station is easily accessible from various parts of the city, making it a popular choice for commuters. However, during rush hours, it can get extremely crowded, so be prepared for some jostling. Overall, Ghatkopar Railway Station serves its purpose as a significant transit point, but the congestion during peak hours can be a bit overwhelming.

Ghatkopar is the 5th Main Rail Station after Kurla being the 4th Main Rail Station on Central Line. Only 3 Slow Trains originate from Platform 1 for CSMT from Ghatkopar. Platform 1 provides Slow Train services & Platform 3 provides Fast Train services towards Khopoli & Kasara Routes. Platform 2 provides Slow Train services & Platform 4 provides Fast Train services for CSMT. Few Fast Trains don't halt at this Rail Station.

Ghatkopar railway station is only station at central line that has metro station nearby (vivo ghatkopar metro station). Usually it was moderately crowded, but you can see immensely crowded since arrival of metro. All fast and slow locals halt here and this station has four flatforms. West side has good connectivity, as it is near to LBS road and you can find auto rickshaws and frequent B.E.S.T. buses!
