For a city like Mumbai where you need Peace outside home on Sunday evenings , this is the place to share quality time with your pals and yourself also.
Favourite cafe in town.
Absolutely peaceful and cozy and comfortable.
Calm ambience, could sit here for hours uninterrupted and enjoy my coffee.
Fresh.....delicious.....simple....satisfying.......& I was told eggless.....amazing. Must try! Having my second cinnamon roll
with a steaming americano ☕️
We reached here quite late, almost at last order time but they were still very patient and courteous with us while we were giving our order. I am a big fan of Sushi, so I just jumped at the chance when I saw Sushi on their Menu. It was lip-smacking. I had ordered their Cold Coffee too with some special instructions which they executed perfectly and my coffee was just perfect. It's a really nice, quiet, cute little place which if you ever get a chance should surely try. It's just a very refreshing cafe with amazing food
Cozy place in Fort. Great food :)

My wait is over !! After coming to this place today afternoon for lunch 🥗 worth it guys !!! Must visit who have offices near by and dnt forget to try TURKISH PIZZA u will just love it 😘😘😘😘😘 worth value for money !! Something different loving it !!!!
Jazz music was on loop which makes the ambience lovely and perfect to sit for hours. We had Zen platter. This platter is enough for two. I loved the furniture especially a tree you see as you open the door. They have an attic floor too.
This café came highly recommended - and easily lived up to the reputation. Very stylish inside and outside with nice detailing and a menu that has more to offer than you can have during an evening, ensuring that you'll happily go back. While there, do check out the equally stylish mezzanine section too.
Between 4 of us, we had a couple of paninis, tomato soup, pizza, nachos, roesti, ganache and Belgian hot chocolate. Alas, tiramisu wasn't available. Everything was top class, would only suggest that if you order roesti, ask for it to be a little thin and crispy.
The serving team led by the manager, Hitendra is very friendly and accommodating. One visit and it's already become our favorite! Waiting to go back soon.
Stacked in one of the by-lanes of kalaghoda literally under a banyan tree is the quaint cafe.
Ordered a vegetarian starter and a main which is very unlikely of me but enjoyed my meal to the fullest

Amazing !
I love love love this place!
I used to frequent their Raghuvanshi Mill outlet pretty often as I had fallen in love with their super cozy space and ambience. But then it went for renovation and I was expecting them to start again soon but didn't. Just a few days ago I got to know they've opened at fort and so I had to go obviously!
And this too is a lovely little place!
I immediately recognized the manager from the previous outlet and we spoke for a while about Zen only to know that this cute little place had opened here in January 2019 and I didn't know!!!!
But now I'll be going there on a regular basis for sure.
This time around, Zen has increased the options on their menu. It's not elaborate but satisfying enough. Apt for vegetarians and vegan lovers. This is an all veg & healthy place , no aerated drinks either !!
My friend was in tears just hearing that...hahahaha!
We ordered quite a bit as we were around 8-10 people. Some of the dishes we ordered were:
Falafel Salad Bowl (love love love)
Mexican Bowl (love love love)
Jalapeno cheese toast (love love love)
Yasai Sushi Platter (ok for my taste buds, not that great)
Hummus with Pita (their Hummus is to die for!)
Avocado Toast ( love love)
Tomato Basil Panini (love love love)
Hummus Sandwich (love love love)
Nachos( ask for with melted cheese ....it's not much..trust me)
Pizza Platter ( love love love - you get all tastes here....sweet, sour, tangy, spicy)
Quesdillas
Watermelon & Basil Juice (love love)
Ginger ale (love but that's coz I don't like ginger ale much)
Mojito ( perfecto )
The staff was super super friendly and courteous and always helping us with whatever we needed. They even suggested their best works from the menu as per our likes and dislikes.
I'm the end we were treated with a very delicious dessert from their end which again was to die for!!
All in all, Zen Cafe gets my full marks and love from their very humble, super friendly and always smiling staff to their cute little ambience!!
Approx per person comes to around Rs 1000/- which is totally worth it!
So we tried the new and renewed Zen cafe at fort and absolutely loved the place. they have a small selection of menu but every dish is worth a try and that's what we did.
starters:
we ordered falafel bowl, jalapeno cheese toast, Hummus with warm pita, Nachos, Tom basil and mozz panini.
the star was falafel salad bowl which while being healthy was very very delicious. the nachos and toast were basic. we loved the hummus and panini as well.
all in all its a great place with a nice friendly staff who are quick and efficient. Ask them for recommendations cause they really know the food they serve. Do visit if you with friends or family and want to enjoy a great dinner night.
Lovely place n feel.. Loved the coconut avocado smoothie.. Hummus.. Belgian choc.. Mexican bowl was tasty until we found a hair in it but they were apologetic, ready to replace and dint charge at all. A must visit n surely a revisit
Nice cafe.
Vesited this place 3 week ago ,

But my only concern is cleeaness ,
Zen team please do take care of cleaness.
Hope my next vesit will be more Memorable.
Accidentally bumped into this place during heavy rains in Mumbai.
Loved the ambience. Great place for a nice long conversation.
Tried the baked nachos. The serving was humongous. Taste was excellent. Avovados, salsa where fresh and tasty.
Tried the chocolate shake, was very good as well.
Mint and Garlic tea was good, served with a small tasty coconut cookie.
Overall an Excellent place. Wish to visit and savour the other offerings as well.
Zen Café is a perfect spot to chill and catch up with friends (and yum food🙄) We had:
1) Mexican bowl - layered bowl of guacamole, beans, lettuce and cheese
2) Baked homemade nachos
3) Hummus with warm pita
4) Green burrito wrap
5) Avocado toast
Food tasted fresh and absolutely delicious. The burrito bowl was the highlight. We loved how the nachos was baked and had avocados. The avocado toast was not toasted properly and had gone soggy though

Our Review: 4.5 / 5:
@zencafemumbai is nestled within a by-lane in the heart of Kala Ghoda, this cafe offers meticulously crafted cappuccinos, filter-brewed specialty coffee micro-roasted in-shop. The décor is simple but elegant and the seating is spread over a ground and mezzanine floor. Coming to their food, We managed to try ZEN PLATTER which was really scrumptious in taste and can definitely be a dish for two. Also, on our list was Avocado Sushi which was not just dazzling in looks but also fantastic in taste. For dessert, do not miss the 'Carrot Cake'. The pizzas are light, cheesy ad filling, and one of our favorites here is the wholewheat aglio olio pasta – seasoned and flavored really well. Do try 'Madagascar Hot Chocolate' as well. The staff is warm and courteous and the service is efficient. The food is a bit on the expensive side, but given the portion size and quality justifies it. Looking to skip over crowded cafes and want some downtown quality time with your date, or you’re just looking to work out of a quiet, peaceful cafe? We say, Zen Cafe is the place to be.

Amazingly delicious food by Zen cafe! Loved it so fresh and healthy. Fully satisfied customer.
One small suggestion if you can add baked chips with guacamole that would be great:)
Love this cafe. It’s a nice addition to kala Ghoda. The staff is wonderful, ambience is truly zen, coffee is tasty & the hazelnut chocolate dessert is a must have! Try the green Mexican burrito, jalapeño cheese toast and hummus!
Favourite restaurant at the moment!!
Love the food, it’s taste as well as quality.
Tried their sushi platter and was simply in love with it. (Their wasabi is extremely strong so you might check before you take it)
So was their burrito & hummus.
The madagascar hot chocolate may not be liked by everyone as its a bit bitter.
So overall; Good food, clean n neat, homey feeling; cannot ask for more!!
Highly recommend 👍🏻
Love this place...had the Expresso Smartini it was the best I've had.... Nestled in the lanes of Kala Ghoda in the same lane as Carter's Blue it's a fantastic place to catch up on your reading or spend some time with your special someone... The only drawback of this place is that it's still not a Zomato Gold.
Nice place to have a cup of coffee and hang out with friends. We had a great time, and loved the breads on display. Only wish the bread was sliced. And they had some options for a keto meal.
Caught up with 2 girlfriends impromtu was looking fr a place to have coffee..while walkin to out usual haunt KG cafe.... discovered this place and decided to give it a try....ordered fr a mocha cafe and caramel machiato... absolutely brilliant a cheese and chocolate croissant to go with this... lovely the food menu also looked enticing and will def go back to try it!!!!
Zen is a state of mind akin to complete peace. And this place strives to set your mind to that state. The decor is minimalistic and homy, the cute potted microgreens and mangoes on the table are quirky and interesting. The staff are polite and courteous. The seating is not crowded and even on Saturday night there's a relaxed feel. The food, desserts and coffee are outstanding. The produce is fresh and presentation is fantastic. But my piece De resistance was the totally mind-blowing caramel macchiato latte. Every sip had the lingering after taste of caramel. One of the best coffees I've ever had. In this place of new restaurants popping up in every nook and cranny this one will definitely become one of my tried and tested go to places!!!
Located in a snug corner of Fort, Zen Cafe definitely lives up to its name. With comfortable seating and soothing music, Zen is the perfect place to cosy up for a long read.
They serve one of the best cappuccinos I have ever devoured. Not too mild, not too strong, just perfect. And definitely not the kinds to get you wired.
On delivery, the cappuccino is not as perfect (slightly milky). It'd be great if this could be worked on. Thank you!
Long time wish come true !! Insance food, heavenly aboard. B. Hot chocolate, pizza platter & pannini 😻
Service is ll slow but food makes up for it
THE BEST! 100% veg restaurant in Kala Ghoda with an amazing interior that sets the vibe perfectly. I ordered the almond milk hot chocolate and it was the best I’ve ever had in my life (no exaggeration). Also ordered the Jain Vegan Burrito and Hummus Panini - Both we’re equally amazing with beautiful food presentation.
They’re launching a few mango-based dishes this week, can’t wait to try it!
Cheers,

It is the best small cafe we have been to in Mumbai! We ordered Latte Macchiato (Good), Spiced Ananas Smartini (Great) and Carrot Cinnamon Cake from their daily selection of Cakes which is an absolute Must Try! We're surely visiting this place as we loved the vibes there :)

Zen has always been one of my favorite cafe to visit.
My experience with zen has been hit and miss many times. I must have tied out at least 3/4 of their menu.
I kept going back to zen for their hot chocolate and the chocolate ganache tart. Love both of them.
Recently tried their tofu mushroom pepper sandwich which was decent.
The pizza have always been good.
Salads are good.
Overall the food is good.
Love the vibe here.
The minimalistic decor is absolutely comforting. The staff is extremely sweet and polite.
Great variety of coffee. A huge fan of espresso smartini.
Tried the classic tiramisu, chocolate croissant, banana cake, banaoffee shake and cold brew and all of it was delicious
Service- I would give 3 star for service. Boys were not even paying attention on our table. We were left unattended for almost 10-15min
Overall satisfied with food taste.
Food quality and quantity was good. We tried pizza platter, grilled veg qusali, sauteed mushrooms and cake of the day (carrot n cinnamon cake)
They serve very nice coffees. Also the food is good and the ambience is really great. They light up candles in the evening and dim the lights so it looks even better. But yes, it is expensive.
Nestled in a quiet corner in Kala Ghoda, everything about Zen Cafe is in sync with the name.
The high ceiling, the wooden furniture, the plants and the vibes - absolutely soothing.
For someone who never liked Tofu, this was a game changer.
The Smoked Tofu, Mushroom and Pepper Panini along with that side of mustard is an absolute winner.
The Mexican bit of the menu is refreshing and wholesome, not bad compared to the mexican food the city has to offer.
The hot chocolate and the coffee is something Zen would never go wrong with.
Be it a quiet dinner, a full working day at this beautiful space or a quick breakfast, it's an ideal place for a meeting or just to sit and enjoy a good book
This place indeed justifies it's name! The ambience is simple and soothes you as soon as you enter it. I ordered Teriyaki Tofu with Soba Noodles and the balance of delicate flavours and different textures in the dish was just perfect. Definitely a place which deserves multiple visits.
Perfect quiet cosy cafe in the hustle bustle lane....just went for a quick visit....but loved the variety which this place offers..Belgium Chocolate Iced Shake was made to perfection not extra sweet but perfect sweet..very few places get it right... mushrooms were made to perfection with right mix of spices and cooked just right...and hummus and pita just made the perfect accomplishment...nice place to visit...would come back to try the menu
On a early Sunday evening I finally got a chance to visit one of my favorite places which was shut for a while. The new place is tucked in a small lane in kala ghoda. Spacious and warm. We had the mixed green salad, falafel wrap and the teriyaki soba noodles( which was recommended by our server). All the dishes were good but my favorite was the noodles which is a new addition in the menu. Good recommendation. They have a good variety of Vegan food. The belgian hot chocolate was very good and the spicy tomato juice is one of my all-time favorites at this place. For us vegans they also have freshly made almond milk with which thy can make your coffees and other drinks. The only negative was that the staff is still in the learning process. I was looking forward to have the sushi but they said it wasn't available. There was a confusion regarding the hummus not being Vegan and the sushi not being available. But the manager was kind enough to speak to us and address our problem. All in all I am glad this place has opened again. Wait to go back soon.
Amazing food..tried the tomato soup, jalapeño cheese toast, hummus with pesto and feta, durum wheat penne pasta in mixed sauce and the freshly baked banana bread! All items were fresh and good quantity..it has a quaint ambiance with lots of greenery to provide you much needed zen!
And it's back!! One of the hidden gems that Mumbai has in one of the corners at kala ghoda.
The zen vibe, travellers resting chairs, coffee lovers & some scrumptious food under one roof. Lazy sundays have a place to spend at. Come one, Come all.
I tried the Madagascar hot chocolate and omg, this HAS to be the BEST HOT CHOCOLATE in the Fort area! That's is saying something as this area is full of excellent cafes serving great food! Coming back to the hot chocolate - it is super dark (72%), suuuper thick and very light sweet - I love it this way.. if you'd prefer sweeter hot chocolate they also have a Belgian hot chocolate variant, which I am told is sweeter. All in all a fantastic hot chocolate experience! Their cakes and chocolate hazelnut ganache tart looked amazing too ... Will go back to try some of their savoury snacks real soon!
We were here on Valentine's day for a quick snack.
Ordered the hot chocolate and would totally recommend ordering the Belgian hot chocolate. It's delightful and made of good quality chocolate, you can tell. Not to mention the hugworthy patent pending mugs are cute too.
Also ordered the Mezze platter which was quite elaborate! It had mini pita pocket with falafels, pesto hummus, in-house lavash (yum), salsa, Refried beans, in-house nachos (yummy) and paninis. Everything tasted great except the paninis.
Friendly suggestion: drop the paninis and replace with crostini or potato wedges.
The ambience is minimalistic yet charming and they take pride in growing their microgreens which I quite liked as it ensures freshness and quality in food.
Totally worth a visit.
Will visit again for the hot chocolate and to try some other food.
Also, their washroom is quite clean and well maintained.
First off the Interiors Really well done.. a good balance between contemporary and minimalism .... if i was to highlight some of the interior features - the high ceiling which you don't see much of in Bombay nowadays ... and the good use of wood and old school terrazzo with a dash of green ( planters). although i prefer the mezzanine floor, where i was seated with a group of friends and was quite spacious to house all of us ... also loved the big window which gives an expansive feel and tends to bring the tree outside indoors which is a nice element .Now for the food - honestly being a Meataholic was a bit disappointed but nonetheless i found the food to be on the healthier spectrum . the hot chocolate and chocolate ganache / Chocolate croissant are to die for . iv been told almost all the sauces and bakery products are Made in house which also reflects in the taste so i do take them for their word. Such a setting according to me would be apt for an Aperitivo evening as kala ghoda makes its transition from a corporate / legal fraternity neighborhood into an Arty / Designer wine and dine kinda district . All in All definitely coming back .
The same Zen Cafe at a new place with new avatar. As a regular visitor at their earlier place, I felt the same good hospitality at this place. Shall be a frequent visitor here too.
Had a lovely Sunday morning at Zen cafe with family. The coffees were delicious and food was amazing. In fact we packed lunch too - kids loved it!
Such a beautifully quaint and wonderful place. I loved the vibe at this place and their breads are to die for. Would definitely visit again. Thank you for a wonderful time :)
This is a cute cafe... In a corner of one of kalaghodas' streets.... At first I was wondering where it is but once you find the place it's adorable! Their service staff is sweet and attentive and the decor is apt for meetings and casual dining as well. They have a few books and things to pass time with, and a display of the dessert and breads(the chocolate ganache looked super tempting! Definitely going to try it next time!) We ordered the Greek salad which I thought could have done with a few more veggies and a tiny bit less of the lettuce... But otherwise the dressing was spot on! The second thing(after which we just couldn't eat dessert) was the Zen platter! It was an array of amazing hummus and dips with fresh paninis and lavash and falafels etc! Was a really good experience! Must try!
I have recently visited with my colleague.
The place was very calm and beautiful
The furniture and the interior was very fascinating
I have visited at 7 pm and there was mostly empty so its very good for couples too.
The cappuccino was very aromatic and flavour was also very good.
The snacks was also very fresh and tasty
#mumbaifoodlife
I am undoubtedly in love with this cafe!
Everything from their ambience, to their vibe, their staff, their food, their presentation is simply serene and pleasing to the soul!
We ordered for a hazelnut cappuccino and a Belgian Hot chocolate with a plate of Hummus and Pita bread.
I am definitely coming back for the hot chocolate!
I really wish they opened up more branches all around Mumbai especially the Kandivali to Andheri stretch!
We really liked the aura of this place. It’s a good place to chill out with people as well as sit and finish your work. The staff was very polite and accommodating. The food was delectable with amazing presentations, The latte Macchiato was made perfect and not to forget the Belgian Hot chocolate which ended up being our favourite: hot, chocolaty and not that sweet !
Hospitality:5/5
Taste-o-Meter:5/5
So excited to have this place open its doors again. From all the natural light, to the chill vibe, that decadent Belgian hot chocolate - its all too beautiful. The extra love goes out to their ever smiling and hospitable staff!!! Thank you for serving us!
The food was excellent with an elaborate menu. It is a must go place for vegetarians. The Mexican bowl, onion rings and cold coffee are a must try.
Very healthy, fresh food. Good elaborate menu. Very good coffees. Salads, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, yummy desserts and much more. A must go for the foodies
It’s great to be back! The cafe is Awesome! The menu has a lot of variety and the food is great!
It’s a lot more healthier...
love this place.
And the atmosphere is has a lot vibe in it.
We had the Avocado toast, salad, pizza, nachos, falafel wrap, hot chocolate and the avocado smoothie.
Best cafe!
Finally! Zen Cafe reopens in the most happening food spot of the city- Kala Ghoda! Excellent food and a very vibrant place with a chill vibe perfect for a cup of coffee or a scrumptious dinner as well. Lighting is just perfect and so is the food! The hummus and pita, Panini, sushi, risotto, tomato basil soup(my personal favorite), burrito bowl and I can go on and on... are all well plated and a pleasure to ones taste buds. It’s definitely a MUST VISIT!!
WOW WOW WOW need I say anything more for zen cafe who serve the tastiest , freshest & filling dishes in Mumbai. Welcome back in a fantastic avatar . They had partially started but the service was superb the place is befitting the name . It’s in a quite lane in the bustle of Kalaghoda. Will I visit again ? Yes atleast 3 times a month so should all canonisers of good vegetarian food . Yes it’s pure vegetarian serving the best coffe in town .
Was a huge fan of the previous cafe at Lower Parel and this one is even better!
Food = 10/10
Healthy , delicious, fresh !
Salads and guilt free food
Highly recommend the falafel roll and guacamole
Ambience = 9/10
Cute place with quaint decor and good music
Service = 10/10
Excellent and prompt and very warm :)
All in all a great evening and great experience
Step into Zen cafe and feel the stress melt away. The minimalist design, coupled with tranquil background music, makes it a heaven for those who appreciate a calm and soothing coffee environment.
The calming atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for relaxation or focused work, providing a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The simple yet elegant design fosters a Zen-like environment for a truly peaceful coffee session. ☕️
Nice quiet cafe hidden away in the busy streets of Mumbai. Greta vegan food and desserts. The platter and burger were amazing. Burger comes with sweet potato fries and platter has great tasting dips. Carrot cake had just the right amount of sweetness.
Service was a bit slow, but the servers inform you in advance about the dishes that take time. Perfect for a slow relaxing afternoon or if you want to catch up with work while waiting for the food.
Such an amazing cafe! Very calm and pleasant vibes; perfect for if you're trying to unwind or get some work done. Good wifi! The coffee options are wonderful and the house made almond milk makes the cappuccinos so silky. The salads were super refreshing, good portions, and flavorful. Let's not forget about the bread! Definitely start with the house made bread and butter, you will not regret! It is a delicious assortment of sourdough and focaccia.
Edit: Went from 5 stars to 4 stars due to slow service during rush hour + little communication from the servers. It took 30min to get our coffee and double for the food.
This is easily a must-visit and my favourite coffee shop in Mumbai.
The atmosphere is spectacular, a hidden den in a not-so-narrow alley where you can find some respite from the heat. The music is jazzy and not overpowering, you can come here to talk, work or write.
The coffee is cheap for Mumbai and definitely incredibly well executed - from the choice of beans to the latte art.
The service is efficient and not overbearing. I was able to pay with a foreign card (around 236₹ for a latte).
I am in love with this Cafe.. soo peaceful atmosphere and delicious food. I am definitely coming again soon for more pasta and pizza oh and ofcourse croissant and hot chocolate❤️❤️ and definitely recommending this to everyone. ❤️
This place not only has incredible vibes but amazing food as well. This cafe brought me such peace during a crazy visit to Mumbai. I really liked their salads and their homemade almond milk is so creamy and delicious. Perfect spot for lunch and great wifi to get work done too
A calm and pleasant cafe with comfortable seating, nice ambience, tasty food (especially coffee), and humble staff
Location is prime South Mumbai
A must visit place to chill and enjoy 😀
A good option for vegan people. Food was okay taste wise and the affogato there was good. The nachos with hummus were decent taste wise.Great ambience and good service but again expect waiting time to get a table. Decent place to hangout with friends or family.
It's a pretty, quiet cafe that I discovered when I was in the locality and loved. You can easily get work done or spend some quality time by yourself here. Their croissant was fresh and nicely baked, but the black coffee should be served in bigger cups! :D
Tried this hummus spread with pita bread, with a mojito. Both were really delicious. The pitta bread with hummus served 2 of us. Overall great ambience and would definitely go back again!
