Value for money when ordered with Zomato perks. Curd rice was not up to the mark. The rice used was not cooked properly. This preparation usually comes with a tadka elsewhere however at Vardes Foodland, it comes plain. The bhakris and rotis were quite delicious.

I was craving for Crab so ordered Crab Masala from here. It was nice. The masala was amazing. Loved it. The vada that was served with it was also good.
Tasty food. Good place.
Tried chicken biryani and neer dosa (mutually exclusive dishes. The neer dosa was ordered by a vegetarian friend who had it with the coconut chutney). The biryani had sufficient amount of chicken and the masala/thick gravy was tasty. For 200/- the quantity was good. The amount of oil should have been lesser though. I think they didn't have the Dum option so we had to settle down with the regular chicken biryani.
Dosa was soft and would be a good option if tried with some curry.
They served saunf in a box similar to that of jewellery and was quite an attractive way to end the feast.
Being a small outlet, go in smaller groups instead of bigger ones. They do have an outside seating area but it was not kept operational due to rains and may be because it's afternoon time and the crowd was less.

Delicious offering. Good mix of spice in every dish. Place is quite small. But the food is value for money. Best place to have around Bandra East which also happens close to our project site. All fish lovers should not miss this.

Awesome value for money food!! Mind blowing crab curry!! I am regular weekly customer here!! Unlike other hotel food, it feels like eating delicious non veg food at home here. Try it once and you will be hooked to this place. Food is nutritious and delicious too. Cannot ask for anything more!! Varde Foodland Rocks!!
I'd like to give this somewhere between 4 to 5 star only for the delicious food that these guys have to offer. Tried their Manglorean chkn Sukka, loved it, their prawns biryani and the size of the bhakri, 1 just fills your stomach. I've had solkadi but not like the one you get here. only a few things you need to improve on is the quantity of oil to be reduced in your food and the portion size for the price. the rest is all good.
Varde's is the best coastal food joint in town.. Superb food.. Value for money.. Better than many other well known see food places.. Must visit..

So another malwani restaurant in the office vicinity and decided to head there for a early dinner... A small joint opened about 13 months ago near the Kherwadi junction which is already bustling with so many restaurants.
Starting off with the ambience, quite basic nothing much to talk about.
The food though does all the talking for the restaurant.
Started off with some surmai fry and prawns rava fry. Surmai one of the best in the Bandra area hands down. Prawns nice crisp and delicious.
Mains consisted of Prawns masala, chicken masala and.mutton masala. The mutton gravy was the winner hands down in the whole dining experience. What flavour and taste. Spice levels can be adjusted about request but my suggestion is to have it the original chef way. Chicken and prawns masala packed some good flavours and meat cooked beautifully.
Indian breads consisted off neer dosa, rice bhakri, jowari bhakri. Neer dosa soft delicious. Bhakris also quite good.
And how can I forget the most important SOLKADI...
A light kokum and coconut milk flavoured drink which stole the show again.
Flavourful amazing, I can go on and on. I made sure I had two glasses of it.
Overall a great dinner experience.....

I wanted to visit varde's foodland from a very long time and finally found time to do so, situated in bandra east this place is small and can accommodate 10 12 tables.
I preferred a take parcel as I was alone to eat. I ordered shimpli(clams) masala thali which was up to the mark. The food was not too spicy and had a typical malwani taste as I was expecting. I was served with some prawn pickle which was exceptional and I will visit again for it, the Solkadi although was a let down and found it on a spicy side.
The packaging for the take away was good.

Kalanagar in Bandra east is a very small but distinct maharashtrian locality & Varde's foodland is a very snugly situated place in the center of it.
The restaurant itself is a small place with about 8 tables. But it serves up a very nice mix of cuisines like konkani, manglorean, kolhapuri & solapuri as well.
The staff is warm & friendly. You will be greeted with a complimentary plate of papads once you place the order (good strategy that). The Menu does have a lot of variety.
So if one gets confused as to what is to be had, well there are options of a Thali or a la carte. The Kombdi Vade thali, Kolhapuri chicken/mutton thali & manglorean mutton thali are good choices to make. Apart from these you can try their delicious rawa fry fish (surmai/prawns/bombil). The chicken liver fry & sukka mutton are exceptionally good. With breads they have the options of jowari/nachni/rice bhakris apart from the regular chapati/roti. The jowari/nachni bhakri should be ideally paired with chicken/mutton masala preferably kolhapuri to enjoy that spicy taste. The rice bhakri can be paired with fish curry.
The only disappointment was the solkadi which was fine but not upto the mark with the best. Lets hope the management works on it.
So if u r in & around BKC or MIG kalanagar, and you wish to have some nice maharashtrian non vegetarian food. Varde's is the place to be!

Being a Hotelier I have been to multiple places and the best places too which has great ambiance and service, but what a makes a difference is that u have a smile on your face after the first bite of your meal.
I am glad that I found out a place which does that, I have grown old having Malvani Food and have found a lot of places where they really don’t serve the food how it should be (It is like Marathi family making dhokla)
We ordered Vardhe Special Thali for me and Veg Kolhapuri for my vegetarian friend and we really didn’t had any complaints, The taste was exactly same which experience at my place, The same flavors a right of mix of spices and allowing the ingredient to not lose the shape ,size and Taste. I am sure they procure products of highest quality as the same was very much evident (No compromise on the quality)
They have a real good team where the (Owners Mom) which has more than 30 years of experience in culinary business and Kitchen is spearheaded by her, where she guides new team members. I was surprised to see her around the restaurant meeting all her guest personally once the food is served

This is my third visit to Varde's Foodland and I have always found contentment in having the mouthwatering coastal food here.
The service is also appreciable and the prices are also not heavy on your pocket.
The menu is precise and perfect.

Guys trust me this is one of d best place to get seafood and meat like home made food.Something called Promfret stuff dish was awesome and i can't forget the taste and never had before in any sea food restaurant.

I am a little skeptical about eating any kind of seafood other than my home. But I happened to visit this place in Bandra with one of my friend. We ordered a pomfret thali and a chicken tikka biryani. Trust me the food was a treat to our taste buds. The best seafood I have had at a restaurant. The fish was fresh and tender and the biryani was yummy. It is a small place and not so grand but their food compensates for anything negative you find about this place. The service was quick and the hospitality was good. The rates are also reasonable. Overall a very good experience.

The best kombdi vade, shimplya masala and mutton sukha I've eaten in my life. That being said, I've grown up eating at and exploring places famous for seafood. But vardes food land really blew my mind. Also had surmai, prawns and rawas fry which were damn nice. I can't stress enough on how flavorful the gravies were. And the meat also was cooked to perfection and legitimately was a melt in the mouth experience. Definitely will keep going back for more amazing food! Cheers and keep up the good work!
I'm very much selective when it comes to meat and fish serving restaurants and not much experimental to be precise. Varde's was recommended and basically a treat given to me and my brother by my sister and trust me it's no less than a 'Treat'.
We ordered a Surmai thali, chiken thali and prawns fry and ended it with glasses of solkadi.
One thing I observed most of other restaurants team up one dry vegetable in any fish thali to fill it up which is funny but here I noticed they instead serve you a small portion of dried baby shrimps cooked in dry curry which is a very smart thing to do.
Overall had a wonderful experience and very soon I'll be treating myself here again.

Visited this hidden gem at Bandra east near collector office. Had our office lunch ther, we ordered mutton kholapuri thali, chicken manglorian thali and bombil thali. All three thali tasted superb . I am gonna visit this place again. Clean and neat place only minus point was ther is no AC and service has too be little fast. Waiter's wer little lost .

I had a veg thali here so that my Malaysian friend could taste the Desi Chicken. I must say the veg thali was a treat to my senses that craved for something authentic. After a movie I took my mother to this newly opened sea food restaurant in Bandra east and we were certainly not disappointed.
We ordered chicken masala and bheja masala with neer dosa. It was finger licking!
The solkadi here is also a must have.
The service was pretty quick and we did not have to wait for long even though the restaurant was fully packed.
The best part is that the prices are pretty economical as compared to other good sea food restaurants around the area. That too without any compromise on the quality.

If you are looking forward to get the real taste of Manglorean/Konkani/Gomantak cuisines, Varde's Foodland is the perfect place to get it. A paradise for seafood and meat lovers.
We tried the different thaalis that they serve as a complete meal. The pomfret and the prawns are to die for.
Tip: Taste their mutton wade with all kinds of seafood/meat
Recommendations: Chicken sukka, prawns fried, prawns masala, crab masala, pomfret/surmai fried or curry are a must try.
End the thaali with a Chicken/Prawns Biryani and top it with a sole kadhi to make ur stomach happy.
P.S. Your wallet weight wont change by much after this meal ;)

Food was absolutely superb... We had ordered Chicken Kolhapuri (people who love spicy food must try), Chicken Sukha, Pomfret Thali, Prawns Thali... All the dishes were really delicious and freshly prepared (judging by the aroma)... Rice and Jwari Bhakari were good but Chicken Wade were best option to have instead of roti, Bhakari... Large in size best in taste... Rates were reasonable... We were 7 people and the bill amount was Rs. 1,930...

Varde's is just an amazing place who serves right taste of the malvani food. it's very pocket friendly and you must try surmai fry, surmai gravy,chicken sukka and bhakri. this place is heaven for seafood lover. Must visit place according to me.
