If u wish to have lipsmacking dhaba food without travelling long distances or going to outskirts of Mumbai.. simply visit this place.. this place won't disappoint you! I have been here several times and tried both veg and non veg dishes. The staff is very friendly and co operative. Sarson da saag and make ki roti are the Slayer dishes here.. chicken and fish dishes are also amazing. Last but not the least deserts are mind blowing too.

Amazing place with a best food. The where you can enjoy Dhaba feeling. On the top there is an arrangement like you can sit on the ground with pillows. They serve food in unique vessels. If you are coming here must go for non veg only because the place where you can order delicious chicken. One of the best place. Must try it..

As I and my Hubby are non veggie lover..searching for non veg dabba and we finally got it from zomato.
Yesterday was eid and wanted to celebrate having some biryani items..
We ordered chicken tikka and it was very tasty with green chutney..and salad offered..
Sufficient quantity for a couple...
Then we ordered chicken dum biryani, it was ok ok bcoz the spice was little less..
Also the quantity was less as compared to other hotels we had..
But we liked the dabba, it was small but neat and clean..
There is also parking area inside there surrounding.
The staff is quite polite and they usually served orders without any delay.
I would like to rate them 4 out of 5 bcoz of biryani taste else the overall dabba was good and in a budget..Vijay Machivale Connoiseur Couple(Foodie Couple)(mithilthakker@gmail.com)

A small joint located in vile parle east that serves some amazing food. They have a small space and not the best ambience but the food more than makes up for it. We tried the Punjabi chicken tikka gravy with cheese naan. It was too good. We also had manchow soup and chicken 65 and both of them were perfect. The service here is also quick just the ambience is a concern

I went back in time to my college days with the kind of setup they have provided... close to the parla college and a minute away from western express highway hence very accessible... If they are open during lunch then I am sure college crowd would find this as a good spot to hangout.
Very good food... I liked their North Indian style dhaba style preparation, tandoori makkhan rotis are pretty crisp, ambiance is OK, service is fast and staff is courteous. If you are not worried about spaciousness and want to spend time some gala time with friends and maybe loved ones for a 'talk-through' meal.. this the place in V-Parle east.

A hidden gem at the far end of Hanunman Road towards Highway. A typical Punjabi set up kind of outlet. I must say that the taste is also typically Punjabi! Authentic Punjabi dishes like Rajmah Chawal, Kadhi, Chole Bhature, Daal Makhani, Chiken Makhani etc are superb. The quantity is also decent for the price. All foodies who have a special corner for Punjabi food must try for rest you also have good chinese food! On of the very few places where kitchen is very clean, food is fresh, staff is courteous and ATM accepted☺

The catchy name was one of the reasons we decided to visit this place. The ambiance is not good. AC was not giving the cooling. Service is average and needs much improvement. We ordered masala papad, rara paneer, babycorn mashroom masala, lassi and lachcha paratha.. We wanted to order kulchas but tandoor was not functional due to some work going on. The food came quickly. Rara paneer was little sweet and lacked taste, but babycorn mushroom masala was yum. Lachcha parathas were soft and fresh. Lassi was amazing. We decided to end with gulab jamun. It came too hot but was really soft yummy. Overall it was a nice food experience.

Just spent a week in various suburbs of Mumbai,it has been a busy week at work, getting on-board new clients, renewing contracts with old ones etc. etc., so dined at a boatload of new places all over the map, but this is clearly my most favorite place since I had stayed over at a friend's place for last 3 days in Vile Parle and we have simply gorged on some wonderful delicacies from here last 2 days :D Stuffed Onion Kulcha, Paneer makhni, Bhindi masala, Dal tadka, Paneer paratha...yummmy. Everything is drenched in oil and spices and gravies and flavors, just the way we want our Punjabi dishes to be. So please don't even think of dieting. Portions are good and price is reasonable. What more could one want? :) Oh,also, everything we ordered was delivered within 40 minutes, fresh and hot, no issues there too.

Paneer Bhurji
Paneer Tikka
Dal
Dahi
Paratha

Food is just awesome, 5 stars for allbitems excep Curd and Paneer Bhurji.

Curd was bitter and Paneer Bhurji was too dry and a little bland.

Dal 10 stars and a must have
Paneer Tikka was tangy and spicy and again must have
Paratha were super soft and filling

The delivery guy was a decent chap and courteous so yes, 5 stars to him as well.

Please improve the quality of curd and make Bhurji a little spicy.

You know what is worse than a 12-hour day at work? A 12-hour day at work which ends without a satiating dinner. Fortunately, today wasn't that day!

Brained drained and famished, Mrs. & I embarked on our return trip to this bed and breakfast we also call home. An eerie silence in the car meant, who ever speaks first will be roasted. As we approached Vile Parle, Sakshi mumbled "Let's try this one dhaba place I have left a bookmark on." Now there's no way I could be my irate self at the sound of those blissful words.

A couple of wrong turns later we manage to spot this missable dhaba in the arterial lanes of Hanuman Road, Vile Parle East. At first sight, the place is an unapologetic first copy of Papa Pancho. A couple dhaba style char-pai on the outside, wooden chairs around garish table top and dim yellow lights doesn't exactly make for a pleasant atmosphere. But then again, I was way too hungry to bother finding another place that offered North Indian Khana.

The menu looked familiar including the design of it. A black slate with 'Today's special' again reminded me Papa Pancho Da Dhaba. Anxious and restless I asked the waiter if it is a chain (but why would someone open an identical restaurant with a different name, silly me!) and the answer was Yes! It's not exactly by the same owners but a venture by the owners friend and hence decided to replicate the whole damn business.

This had a dramatic effect on us. Sakshi had glee her eyes and her hunger levels ka boomed for she knew she will get what she craves for, always - Punjabi Kadhi Chawal! Her order was placed even before I could start contemplation. After much thought and re-checking with my grumpy, starving belly, I decided to go all out. A combo meal that consisted Rara Paneer, Dal Makahani, 2 Naan and a bowl of curd.

Brought to us to quick time, the food served in pittal be bartan, was delectable and satiated our ravenous selves. The Kadhi was perfect the taste and texture, and the 'pakodi' (tiny dumplings) were soft and nice. The basmati chawal too looked freshly cooked and not nuked in a micro wave.

The Punjabi meal I ordered was awesome beyond my expectations. The Rara Paneer was eased down to suit my palette that generally can't take too much chilli. The gravy was thick and creamy giving the succulent chunks of paneer the right company. I was impressed with the naan given that it was soft and crisp and need not need another hand's help. The Dal Makahani was bereft of salt but upon adding some myself tasted heavenly. The simpleton bowl of curd too was a fresh and seemed like they ready it in-house. What a delectable dinner that turned out to be! Full marks to the kitchen for winning me over and making me forgive the displeasures of the ambience and location.

The service is humble and quick. I appreciate the little nuances they exhibited by not bringing me both Naans at once, rather the second following when the first was just about over. Well done for getting that basic right, most top end places don't seem to pay attention to that obvious logic. Also the fact that they didn't rush us even though it was past their closing time gets the service staff my vote.

The verdict:

Ignore the place. Relish the food. More conveniently, just call in for delivery and that's what they self-confess that they are more famous for. The portion size is generous and the pricing very friendly. O Teri is the place to gorge some authentic dhaba style punjabi khana without burning a hole in your pocket.

P.S: Thank you for feeding two very hungry people last night

Aaj toh dhabe ki yaad dila di...:)

We were extremely hungry as we were returning back from work. Looking at the clock, we were wondering where would we get good food without much detour from highway. And then Zomato came to rescue. This place has been on my bookmarks for sometime and we decided to give it a try tonight.

I remember going to some dhaba's when we have travelled long distance by car, and this place in all forms- ambiance, food and service reminded me of one.

It's on same lines with a very famous restaurant in Bandra- Papa pancho the dhaba. Same menu and same taste.

A total dhaba type set up with both an indoor (incl. a mezzanine level Indian seating) and outdoor set up. It has roughly 30-40 covers. Right from the cutlery to decor, you feel like you are eating in a dhaba.

Service is good. Pleasant staff happily serving you with a smile... Checking if we liked the food... Overall making the atmosphere nice and welcoming.

Talking about food, very good North Indian food options and their portion size is huge. Absolute VFM. And what makes it more VFM is the taste. Total road side Dhaba taste. We ordered for

- Punjabi Kadi Chawal (Nice tasting with right sourness required in Kadi and soft palak pakodi's)

- Ra Ra Paneer with Thali serving you dal makhni, naan and curd. Totally loved the paneer. Tasty gravy with soft and fresh paneer cubes. Dal was ok.

A great dinning experience and I am glad to have found this place which serves good North Indian food and is open till 12 midnight on all days.

It was a sudden plan, me and my chaddi buddies(naval, viky, yats) were near to sun city and were searching punjabi non veg. resto where we can chilax and have dinner.
Frankly, when we saw this dhaba behind the bus stop we thought of going somewhere else, because no one was there inside, but we asked the Kelewala who sits exactly in front of this dhaba. He said "Bahut badhiya khana milat hai idhar, aisan suna hai" of course he never ate over there but he heard from the local crowd.
So now we are in dhaba so don't ask ambience, table decorations and etiquettes etc. staff was ok and well mannered they deserves 3/5 , because of unique brass spoons, thalis, lussi glasses.
Starters: 4/5
In non veg we tried Punjabi chicken tikka it was awesome, soft chicken tikkas came with tikka masala and Tangdi kabab which was again properly roasted and tasteful. In veg we tried veg. shami kabab which was made with mixture of green peas, potatoes and other stuff.
Main course: 3.5/5
garlic kulcha, lahori kulcha and we ordered to make one garlic,-cheese amritsari kulcha all were soft and tasty. Makai roti was OK. That day's specialty was some angara chicken dish which was again great in taste but the chicken pieces were little stiff. Dal tadka and jeera rice ekdum mast.
Lassies came with full of big brass glasses...bap re. It took 1 hour to complete those Lassies.
After having such delicious dinner we all said OOOOO Teriiiii itna hi hua ..when we saw the bill.  Thanks OTDD. Will definitely come again to explore more.

O TERII DA DHABA ( PARLE EAST)
..Nr Nirankar board on Vileparle highway, Hanuman road.

Shop turned into dhabba, punjabi food lovers around this area may visit this place, nothing exceptional, but something different and better than regular restaurants.

Ambiance:
They have transparent door before you enter AC Section, it has punjabi guy pic on the glass, they have wooden chairs and table, AC was not that strong, wish could feel little more cold as it was almost like room temperature even after being in AC section, Non AC too has few chairs and table, its a very small outlet, good for 4 people in group max or small families.  Food was served in brass plate which is rarely seen now a days, before you enter on the right hand side they have small hut shaped tea stall, and  they have one half for kitchen which is not visible much. They need  to plan their ambiance little better, they also have half floor upper segment which has few sitting arrangements too, with cushions, it can be like a private section for few smaller get together's. max 4 - 6 people i guess.

What was ordered?
Food:
Rara Paneer:
Came across this new term, its something similar to paneer kadai or paneer makhanwala, with orangish color, with paneer cubes and grated paneer in it, but yet little gravy too. medium spices, punjabi tadka or spiceness was missing.

Conver to a Combo by adding Rs 80/-
Roti Dal & kachumber:
By adding Rs 80 one get 2 Lacha paratha or 1 Naan + one small bowl of dal makhni. + one small bowl of plain dahi , kachumer of onion. Honestly it didn't make much difference i felt, dahi was small portion and so was dal makhani, it is a catch, in terms of quantity, but dal makhani was good, taste well typical punjabi style.  My suggestion may be ignore this offer. Naan was standard size, one can have with sabji or dal makhani too.

Dum Vegetable Biryani:
Biryani was suppose to be dum style, i was surprised if it would be that great, i found it average, it had yellow rice on top with vegetables like green peas and small carrot pieces and masala on the bottom later, it was bit soggy biryani, it had roti covering entire bowl of it, typically seen in dum biryani. Spices were average. Biryani taste was overall average, nothing exceptional, had little high hope with this.

Quality and Quantity:
Food quality needs little punjabi flavor taste enhancement, quantity of main was good , while add on was poor. dal makhani was more like a tasting portion.

Price:
Rs 210 for sabhji  + Rs 80 for combo upgrade and 200 for biryani, seems bit average spent , good for one time experience for me.

Service:
Its nothing exceptional, restaurant was almost empty, food was served in 10 mins approx.  Basic regular service.

O TERII DA DHABA ( PARLE EAST)
If you are looking for proper punjabi food with somewhat like dhaba experience than this place can be given a try. This place is located at hanuman road nearby higway.Very small place can be missed and as there is a bus stop in front of the restaurant then you may find it difficult to search this place.

This place is at proper parle area where mostly the crowd is gujrati so if u are fond of punjabi food because there is no other cusine available beside punjabi so u can visit this place.

AMBIENCE
The ambience is some what like a dhaba with few chair and tables inside as well as u can sit outside also. The walls were brick design and on the entrance door the colour painting is made with the name of the restaurant.Outside sitting area has mats which are hanged to give a dhaba look. The plates and glass in which food was served was of brass so it added more to the punjabi theme of the restaurant. The menu card was also nicely made.

FOOD
As we wanted to directly eat the main course so we ordered sabji roti and biryani.

RARA PANEER
Something different then normal paneer ki sabji like paneer makhni or paneer tikka. This was like orange gravy medium spicy and with lot of paneer pieces added to it which were very soft.Along with paneer pieces grated paneer was also added to it.The gravy was not very thick. The taste was good.

ROTI DAL AND KACHUMBER
They had a option in their menu to pay 80 rs extra and u can opt for Lacha paratha or naan and one small bowl of dahi with some cut onion rings and one small bowl of dal makhni.
We opted naan instead of paratha.Dal makhni was very good in taste with proper punjabi flavour but I personally feel the quantity was less.Dahi and kachumber were normal.

DUM VEGETABLE BIRYANI
Biryani I feel was average in taste. It was very soggy and taste was normal. Was not getting taste of the dum biryani which we usually get in all dhaba.Vegetables were added to the biryani and garnished with fried onion.

SERVICE
Service was good and the waiter gave us the details which sabji should be given a try and how it is made.Food was served in 10 to 15 min.

Price was normal and worth of what you are eating if two people order starter and main course with a desert it would not be more than 350 per head maximum for veg food with u being fully stuffed.

Overall a good place will like to visit again to try sarso ka saag and makai roti and also paratha.A small but good to try place for all punjabi food lovers.

O Teri makes no efforts to claim that it's anything outside a Punjabi outlet and that is certainly good news! Given their generous portion sizes, the pricing is fantastic value for money.

The only area for improvement is the starter section, which is well below average, given that Veg Shammi and Seekh Kababs barely pass muster. But well, I shouldn't be comparing a tiny dhaba to Punjab Grill and Dum Pukhth!

The main course leads to a complete turnaround in food quality with the stars being Bhindi Masala and Baingan Bharta, which taste heavenly.

The best part about this place is that they serve Phulkas and not just tandoor breads. This is unlike most north indian places in Mumbai.

The best part about their service is home delivery, which is promised and delivered in 15 minutes, magical!

The Ambience of this place is as catchy as the name, O terii Da Dhaba!
The entire decor gives away the feel of a Dhaba. They concentrate only and only on Punjabi food and you won't get any other cuisine here. The place is small but still used very efficiently!

We ordered for Chaas which came in big glasses, exactly the ones served at a Dhaba!
Chaas was delicious. For starters we tried the Makai cheese Tikki which tasted very average! The Roti and Chicken Dhaba is what I am so glad I ordered! The quantity is good , the taste is great! And for deserts we tried the Gulab Jamun which again were soft and had me craving for more! The pricing is very cheap compared to the quantity and quality!

Had a craving for robust North Indian food but close to home- O Teri da Dhaba popped up on Zomato. it was difficult to locate - it is hidden behind a bus stop- but worth it.
I like their make a meal combo- one main course with rice/paratha, dahi and dal makhni.
Have tried Chicken Makhni - wasn't exactly the Butter Chicken that i was expecting but it was a hearty meal not very heavy on fats but creamy nonetheless.
Another time i tried Chicken Dhaba - quite good. The Bulandi Chicken Tikka was also pretty decent.
The Dal Makhni is what i would go there for again and again. Home style . Period.
Finishing off with the hot gulab jamun was a perfect end to the meal. It was tad sweet for me though.
All in all, ideal on a i-had-a-bad-day-i-need-a-comforting-meal day.

Well in a place like Parle which is Guju dominated you find superb chats and unlimited khao gallis. Well dont assume that its stall on a footpath so it will be cheap, some of them charge more than their nearby restaurants In such scenario there is a  place at the far end corner (vile parle east , adjoining the highway) l, small punju joint. - O teri da dhaba !

The place can entertain 16 guest tops.
Dont expect a fine dining experience. Ambience is a wanna bee try to give a dhaba feel but lacks luster

But wait, dont loose hope, if you are coming here to njoy north indian cuisine leaving behind the ambience and aristocracy then you can hogg it out here for sure

Paneer tikka masala was a winner all the way. Gravy was not a regular red colored one, the taste was perfect and the spices were blended superbly, kudos to the cheese kulcha (cheese was stuffed not garnished on top)

Well minus points were the starters, cheese makkai tikki was a let down. Papers were drenched with oil.

if u want to be a dhabha the lassi should be malai marke not a general sweet lassi

This place should tie up with food panda, Tiny owl and likes, i am sure the parcels would work well

Do try their dal (both yellow and makhani)

Small place tucked into a corner on the main road which is easy to miss amid the rains. Quick service, and quality food. We ordered a banjara kebab starter, which was decent, but was pretty generic. The palak khichdi was quite brilliant. The phulkas were nice and light, and the main course was pretty OK. Value for money, and a pleasant experience overall.

A small resto but really fulfils the expectations. O terii da dhaba is a fun filled family restaurant. The food has a typical Punjabi flavour. Don't miss the chicken khichdi... tried it for the first time ever and loved it.

A place where I fell in love with the Dal Chicken Khicidi that they serve on the menu. Though, I have ordered the food from here many times. I have been here couple of times. The place is quite shabby in and out. When ordered the food couple of times the taste & quality of the dish hasn't been up-to the mark. When ordered the food via free home delivery. They have always missed out on one or two dishes that I have order. Apart from that, The food was served hot and the staff was courteous.

Eating recommended

This small gem is located on the corner of Hanuman Road, Vile Parle (E). You can easily miss it as its behind a bus stop. There is no car parking or valet available, so that is a small issue I wish the owners would sort out.
The restaurant is very small - just 4 tables on ground floor and a sitting area on top for bigger groups. The ambiance is of a Punjabi dhaba and is strictly ok. Do not expect anything special and you wont be disappointed.
The main attraction though is the yummy finger licking good food. I have tried both the vegetarian and the non vegetarian dishes and both have been superb. The gravy is super thick and food is spicy and well cooked. Each dish is served with steaming thick black dal, 2 rotis and curd. The quantity of the dish is sufficient for 2 people. The prices are very decent.
I really really enjoyed the food over here. If you want to have awesome Punjabi food, please do give this little hidden gem a shot.

--- Delicious Cheap Food.---
A treat for your tongue, and your pocket. I'll call it a tinier version of Papa Pancho's in Bandra! Try it out.

Didn't quite know about this place and found it on Zomato. It was empty when we reached. Interiors and decor were done up to match a dhaba but it wasn't well ventilated. Coming to the food, we had aalo paratha and rajma chawal. Both had little less seasoning. But they were quite tasty. Added a little salt and everything was fine. Service was good. On the price front it is quite well priced and the food served is quite fresh. Might probably order a take away next time. Definitely worth a try.

O teri da dhaba turned out to be a blessing..tucked away at the end of hanuman road in Vile parle east it is a brilliant refuge for meat munchers in VileParle east, that is filled with eating joints that cater to the purely veg crowd. We ordered Banjara kabab and naulakha sabzi with phulkas..every thing was just perfect. The sitting space is quite small and loud patents cud really create a mess if you like a little silence while u eat.....but that issue is taken care of once the food is served.Cheers to the quirky little eating joint, with its delicious food and good service is indeed a place to be

We've ordered from here twice and they have always been prompt in their delivery. The tandoori chicken was one of the best I ever had. The chicken dishes were good but would definitely not please the health conscious. Try it if you want to eat good mom vegetarian food.

I discovered this place on my own which is very unlikely of me and oh I am so glad I did. The decor is quirky and the menu is neat..all your comfort food tucked in just one page. Most interesting thing in the menu was Chicken Khichdi..well I am not a Khichdi fan, but adding meat to it is a great way to make someone like me order it & there was dessert named Pyaar wala Sweets. We ordered for Naulakha subzi an amalgamation of methi, palak & paneer along with the phulka & fish tikka masala. The food was served piping hot..specially the roti was melt in a mouth sort, reminded me so much of 'ghar ka khaana'. Good food, decently priced, service was quick. Definitely worth a second visit.

Discovered this place on Zomato @Nearby the Airport.. luved it catchy name!!..

Starting from the name, the set up, serving bowls, glasses, plates, menu style, to the menu contents.... it reminded me of a popular dhabba style restaurant in Bandra..
Food is reasonably priced..and decent in quantity portions.. One particular thing which stood out about this restaurant is the indian breads- makai roti, missi roti and lachcha paratha- all three were soft, authentic and awesomely made!.. the Naulakha sabzi- methi, palak, alu and paneer- was kinda bland and zero masala home type curry.. and Yes, there was maybe one cube paneer in the whole dish, crushed in  it! .. the Jaljeera was not made properly, we had to add water and lemon to make it yummy..!..
Service is pretty amazing.. the waiters made efforts to keep asking how was the food, anything more, etc etc..
All in all a pretty good experience.. next time will preferably order a paneer dish to try out..

This is an amazing place if u want to have awesome Punjabi food. Food was simply good.

More over good ambience, theme of dhaba is something different from local restaurants & good services though quantity is less compared to cost.

A homely place, in vicinity to some real good competition (Satkar restaurent). the spices and flavour were far from authentic Punjabi cuisine, but the taste was a refreshing enough change due to living in a Gujju area, where all the food joints serve you sweet (read sugary) food items. Makki di Roti & Sarso ka saag- had some serious amount of chilli and so did the chicken items. Teary eyes of my fellow chicken-mongers there and gulped down glasses of water were testimony to this.Overall, a place like this at a walking distance, is a paradise for a non-veg fella. Good enough for a veg guy like me too.  Price- about 300 per head after a lotta stuffing down the throatAmbiance- not the best, but good. appreciate that they try their best to make it look like an actual dhaba
Food- must try for people living at walkable distance
Service- Speedy

I am foodie no one.i like to test new food everytime. I went here first time just to try but going there was worth trying. It was awsome food limited manu how it should be chicken is very tender starters are typically punjabi style biriyani worth trying very tender and testy gravy. Ambiance not typically dhaba style but good but small place
And cost wise resonable

Went to this place really hungry. Ordered for a lemon iced tea which was, though refreshing, a bit sweet for my liking. Chicken Seekh was also at par wid the basic good quality tht we can taste in a few other places. But the real show stealer was the Chicken Bhuna. Very well prepared, a bit tangy, succulent and good quantity too. That wid butter phulkas (lots of them) topped wid piping hot gulab jamuns made my afternoon really drowsy. Must visit for good north indian food. And nice cozy decor too.
