Have always been mesmerized with their dine-in experience, which time travels you to Kashmir with the fine ambience and authentic food. After a lifetime of lockdown, decided to ordered food, the preparations were recommended by Ms Sudha Takoo (the spearhead behind the brand) which was swiftly delivered to me. Just loved it!!!!! We went on first day of 2020. Poush just made our day. We were 4 and went for half Trami. It was divided by 4 Course meal. Starting with starters, then main course, followed by some amazing Phirni. The meal ended with Kahwah which was quite refreshing! The ambience is soothing and relaxing. It could not had been a better start of the year :)

We cannot always go to Kashmir to witness the deliciousness of the authentic Kashmiri Food, so to sort our problem, Poush - The essence of Kashmir has brought to us in our own city the real flavors and feel of Kashmir.
As soon as you open the doors of this restaurant, you truly and undoubtedly enter Kashmir. What is Kashmir without shikara ? So these people have set up a real Shikara to dine in. The ambience is so regal that you truly start feeling like one of the Mughal Emperors. So imperial yet so cozy it is. The perfect seating, the perfect music, the perfect vibe.
We ordered Maharaz Thal. It consisted of seekh kebab, rogan josh, kokur yakhini, nadier palak, rajma, raita, and phirni accompanied by rice and roti. Each and every dish had a very evident and unique taste and texture. This is definitely not a regular thali, it was aristocratic. It was definitely a plate-full of Kashmir. The phirni especially was exquisite.

We tried the veg and the non veg Thali which was a limited Thali and each Thali was sufficient for a single person.
The food was not at all spicy or oily. It had perfect taste. I loved it. I was also very filling and sufficient for a single person.
For desserts we had phirni and Gulab jamun. Which was also very delicious. And tasty.
After the meal they served us kahwa, a Kashmiri Tea which was a perfect way to complete the meal. Overall I loved the experience.

Nadier Palak - It is a spinach and lotus stem curry. It is mildly spicy and yet very flavorful.
Rajma - Rajma is a curry made with tomato puree and kidney beans.
Accompaniments - Raita Roti, Plain Rice,
Sweet Dish: Phirni - Kashmiri Phirni is made with Semolina and flavored with saffron. It is a light and creamy dessert that is a great way to finish the meal. You can also choose Gulab Jamun instead of Phirni.
Kahwah (Hot/Cold) - It is a Kashmiri tea flavored with cardamom and infused with cloves, cinnamon, and saffron.

All in all good value for time, money and energy. I definitely vouch for this place.

The thali had 2 non veg gravies one starter and 2 veg gravies and a raita. The meat was fresh and tender , also the food was authentic kashmiri , all the spices and flavours had the hint of kashmiri cuisine. The thali was too good and heavy for your stomach. It a must try from me for the thali .
Phirni - Also we ordered a phirni. The phirni was smooth and perfectly sweet. Also it had a flavour of kesar . Chilled and yummy. 5 star this one . Never had a phirni like this one though uptil now.
Kahwah - We had the most traditional kashmiri tea. They offer it in cold as well as hot . We went for hot one . It was so refreshing with so many unique combination of spices . Unique and must try thing .

This lovely restaurant is located among the hub of restaurants in Malad. It looks beautiful inside-out. The interiors are Kashmir-themed. We visited during the afternoon and there was minimal crowd and it felt peaceful.
The place is quiet romantic and suitable for all age-group couples and families too. A perfect date place.
We ordered a veg & a non-veg thali. Both contained an appetizer, 4 main gravies, an accompaniment, rice and rotis.
Veg thali: The food was served in a big steel dish. The gravies were all good in their own way. The Rajma tasted really good with the rice. A small portion of rice was served, and the accompaniment was curd-based salad.
2 Rotis were served which were reeally soft and left us wanting for more.

Portion: One Starter was enough for 4-5 people & main course was more than enough for 3 people.
I wanted to give one star less is for higher prices. But as far as food quality is considered, there shouldn't be any issue paying more. Would love to visit again for ambiance & quality of food.

Along with it we had Kashmiri Drink called Kawah which was Sweet and Spicy at the same time.It also had chopped almonds in the drink which was served hot to us.
In Dessert we had Gulab Jamun and Phirni.Gulab Jamun was the best Gulab Jamun I ever had in my Life.It was serves hot and it was so soft that it easily melted in my mouth.Phirni was also tasty and its texture was good.
Overall Conclusion,the restaurant is really good and has a Romantic Vibe to it.This outlet is great to have a Family dinner or to Spend sometime with your Loved Once.

Went to Poush for a dinner with friends. It's an amazing place for some really authentic Kashmiri Cuisine. The taste was brilliant the quantity was perfect. The Ambiance was soothing to the eyes. The only drawback back was the in house singer.

The restaurant will give you the actual experience of being in Kashmir where you can actually sit in a shikara and have dinner.
You have your meal sitting down cross legged in good old Indian style in your private cubicles or in a Shikara.
They have authentic Kashmiri delicacies on their menu. I tried their Non Veg Thali.
It had seekh kebab and nadiar palak in starters.
Nadiar kebab is lotus stem cooked with palak leaves which tastes really good.
For main course it had Rogan Josh and Kokur Yakhini. Their Rogan Josh is very spicy and Kokur Yakhini is Chicken prepared in Dahi and has a tangy flavour, both served with tandoori rotis.
For dessert it had Gulab Jamun and Kahwah.
Kahwah is Kashmiri tea which is spicy.Tried it first time and took a liking to it instantly.
All in all a romantic place to visit with your loved one.

1) Live Music The best thing here is the Live Music. He has a fabulous voice and plays guitar. He sang all of my favorite Bollywood romantic numbers. I could close my eyes and keep listening.
2) Boat - And then the Kashmiri Shikar, just wow. How many places have this in Mumbai ?

It was Kashmiri food in Kashmiri Ambience. It made us feel as if we were in Kashmir.
Located in Malad West. This Restaurant is really very Romantic place. Ambience gives a feeling of being in Kashmir. They Actually have a Shikara inside the Restaurant, which gives a Romantic Kashmiri atmosphere feeling.

We ordered for Half Trami , which is supposed to be enough for 2 pax, but by the time the main course is half done, we were fully submerged in the taste of awesome food, still ended up finishing the food due to craze of having such good food.
To start with we were served with starters. Lamb ribs were the best of the lot. Never had such soft meat. Seekh Kebabs were good. Rice served with methi maaz was tasting lyk biryani...or much better then that. Nadier palak tiki was good as well. Next came the main couse. Two individual thalis with roti and 5 gravies, namely Rogan Josh, Goshtaba, Rajma, Nadier Palak and Ruwangan kokur served with rice or tandoori roti. Rajma and the Nadier palak was too good to be outshadowed by non veg gravies. Rogan Josh and Goshtaba was tough to beat. Both of them were utterly delicious. Now the time was for desserts. You have an option of Gulab jamun and Phirni. We choose Phirni...never tasted such stuff even on mohd Ali road...truly Kashmiri. Lastly we were served Kawha, which ended our experience of delight ful food. Do we have option of rating more than 5 stars, this deserves 10/10

It also includes a very good quality dessert and a dessert which is loved by everyone. "GULAB JAMUN"
Also there's an option instead of gulab jamun. Youbcan have Firni too. Even the Firni is too good.
2) NON VEG THALI
A non vegetarian thali consists of different varieties of vegetables and Rogan Josh that is an authentic kashmiri lamb dish. A perfect thali for meat lovers. It also had Rajma and raita along with rice. Even here you will have a mind blowing and a mouth watering dessert.
After we finished our thali and dessert, we were served with a special kashmiri KAWAH drink. It was literally awesome. It just completed our kashmiri meal.
Service was amazing and all thanks to the manager for all the arrangements.

Having visited a Kashmiri colleague recently, the mind went to their cuisine and this is how we ended up here.
As we entered the warmly lit place, the 9months pregnant me walked to the extreme end of the restaurant to assure myself of comfortable seating in one of the cost booths rather than the table and chairs. The host (a lady, I forgot to ask her name) was up and about actually checking to see if we were comfortably settled, to understand our preferences and also continued to keep checking up on us in case we needed anything to enhance the experience.
I shared with her that we wld like to go for the maharja thalis but she suggested that I stead we try the half trami which will be followed by two thalis. Was tempting, how she explained the same to us and we readily agreed.
First came in the Kawa, their welcome drink that didn't miss out the chopped almonds. Was divine.
What you see in the pic is half a trami which was followed up by two thalis. I would say that half a trami is pretty good for 3 pax and not 2 as was our case.
The trami was two pieces of mutton ribs, deep fried with minimalistic spices, 2 pieces of succulent seekh kebabs, 2 tikkis of lotus stems and 2 pieces of gorgeously roasted chicken with some green marination. All of this on a bed of fluffy white rice n gorgeous methi chicken gravy (my personal favorite).
We loved this. And we're already stuffed by the time we got done with the starters itself. Was rich and fulfilling.
This was followed by two thalis (who's pics I forgot to click in my intoxication over food) the thalis had the option of rice or rotis. We took one of each. It had bowls of rajma, lotus stem sabzi, Rogan ghost, min Ed mutton balls in a smooth creamy gravy and juicy chicken in a fiery red sauce.
To top it all phirni followed up the spread!
We cldnt even manage to finish 1 of the thalis and requested that both be packed.
All in all was a super satisfying meal but it wld have been great had we been informed that half a trami is a mammoth task to finish between 2 ppl 😄
As i heard from most of the people that this place gives the vibes of kashmir so how could I not visit it.As I entered the restaurant there was shikara for eating food instead of normal table and chairs it really give the feeling of kashmir to me it's perfect place to come here with your loved ones and spend some quality time here .We had ordered here two types of Thali one waa non veg and a veg thali both thali were very much delicious and yummy i have eaten in many restaurants but here the food taste something different it's just taste like kashmiri food and in dessert we had phirni amd rasgullla with ice cream both were very much drooling and tempting i specially like thre phirni it was very much awesome loved it and after all of this we had ordered a kashmiri khawa one was cold and one was hot it was also nice it perfectly balance our food its worth visiting here if you are kashmiri lover it was worth visiting herr

As kashimir is my all time favorite place to travel so how could i miss this kashmiri restaurant in mumbai.As in kashmir poush mean a flower .As entering this place give me the vibes of kashmir the interior and the decoration was so nice that i feel that i was sitting in kashmir and there was a shikara there which was way to amazing as most of the restaurant you will find table but this was having a shikara to make you feel like you are in kashmir. As its also give me the vibes of romanticness with my partner as you could get very mmucg privacy here to spend some quality time with your loved ones .In lunch we opt to go for thalis as in thali we could cover all the dishes of kashmir

Like kashmir this is the most beautiful place I have ever visited, the ambience is just too good there are small boats with seatings and tables instead of normal dining table and yes the most photogenic place and it is very nearby to my place which makes me more happy . Apart from this they have lovely food all the recipees from Kashmir . Kahwa and kabargah my favourites . Please do visit here if you in malad.

I have been to Poush, the awesome and kashmiri Embience loved to been there. having food feeling nice.
Nov veg Thali nicely served which Rice , Chicken kabab , rajma , Sarso ka saag , followed by dessert Pheerni and Yummy Gulab jamun.
Poush - Essence of Kashmir located in Malad was one of the best places in the locality with a Royal and Romantic ambience.
The food here was amazing, the service was nice and the quite easy to locate.
The ambience won my heart as it was very romantic yet it could be enjoyed by friends and family too.
We had Maharaja Thal which was a non vegetarian thali with amazing dishes followed by Desserts and Kahwa (A Kashmiri Drink)

Poush is a beautiful restaurant serving Kashmiri cuisines located in Malad west. They have beautiful interiors & would be a perfect place to have a romantic dinner with your partner. They have this beautiful sitting arrangement where you can have your personal space in a cabin with curtains. They also have a Shikara wherein you can have your meal. The staff is quick & well managed.
What we had:
1) Non Veg Thal
It contained Rice, Tandoori roti, Rajma, kokur Yakhini, Nadier Palakh, Rogun Josh, Mutton Seekh Kebab & raita. Kashmir Being a huge meat consuming state, the meat dishes tasted lovely.
2)Kesar Phirni
Kesar phirni was perfectly smooth & sweet. It had rich flavour of kesar enriching its taste.
3)Zari Kahwah
This is a typical chai of Kashmiri people. It has rich flovours of elaichi & was worth tasting.
Poush is a restaurant serving kashmiri cuisine located in Malad west. This can be a perfect place for couples to have a romantic dinner date. They have beautiful sitting arrangement & you can have your personal space with curtains around your cabin. The food here tasted good & each food had its authentic kashmiri taste
This is known to be a great place for Kashmiri food and i enjoyed their Thali which is costing 600 for Limited thali. It is bit expensive as its limited however taste was good.

The ambience was Gorgeous and Royal and Romantic.
The seating was elegant where you sit or even lie down as per your comfort with curtains that can be drawn for privacy and the other seating was the usual table and chair.
The Restaurant honestly did give an Essence of Kashmir with the ambience and the environment and the music in the background.

Poush-Essence of Kashmir ,as the name suggests this place is completely themed like Kashmir and is very much different from the normal places that we all visit.
It's one of the beautiful places that I have visited till date.
The Ambience is pure class and subtle.
As we enter there is boat with table which totally gives the vibe of Kashmir rivers and makea it more special .
The seatings over there are also very special divided with cushions and mattresses with tables which makes it look like a indoor kashmiri dhaba .
Talking about the Kashmiri Pandit Cuisine,is one of kind cuisine and not easily available across country as Waazwan,the more widely known as Kashmiri meal.
In fact, there is hardly anyone of Kashmiri Pandit lineage who has ever showcased the cuisine to people outside.
That's is why POUSH brings up this culinary experience to you .

Even though I visited this place two months ago, it stays in fresh due to its beautiful shikara decor and the lovely food. It wasn’t as crowded as we went on a weekday evening and the seating was also very comfortable in a shikara sort of dining.
The food was great and the quantity was also more than sufficient in their thaali. The appetisers, however, were the highlight. A lot of different types of dishes we’d never even heard of earlier.

Yesterday i visited this place called Poush- Essence of Kashmir. As the name suggests, this outlet is a complete Kashmiri themed. This place is just a getaway from those regular style places you visit. Since we know alot about North Indian dishes we are relatively less known towards the Kashmiri style. I got to say it's one beautiful place to be there. The ambience has struck me so wonderfully that i don't mind visiting it again. You could call it an indoor dhaba with tons of beauty to it. As you enter there's a boat that gives you that vibe of a Kashmiri valley entrance. The seatings are way lovely with divided sections placed with cushions, curtains and mattresses along with tables. You could say that you could enjoy the meal with privacy that we want. Coming to the dishes, the Kashmiri style is way different. It has smoothness and tenderness even in the spices. It gulps down the throat so easily. I tried these two and i just couldn't fathom the fact that it was so beautiful.
1- Zari Kahwah
Kashmiri green tea leaves blended perfectly with saffron, cinnamon and cardamom served with slivers of Almonds. Its an amazing tea which is really different from those traditional tea that we have
The essence and aroma hits all the spots.
2- Maharaz Thali
Well a thali served for one but tops my list to try it again is this Maharaz Thali. This thali is loaded with everything that you crave for. The servings and the delicious taste hits the jackpot. From rotis to vegies to non-vegies and to the sweet its packed. A must try. Well if you anxious to know here's the list of what's in for you
1- Seekh Kebab
It's made of mutton and its very tender soft and juicy.
2- Rogan Josh
Typical Kashmiri curry added with meat to fulfill that spice taste buds.
3- Kokur Yakhini
This curd based chicken curry is just so beautiful to the eye and delicious for the taste
4- Nadier Palak
Another one of Kashmiri themed dish which soothes the veggie taste.
5- Rajma
Well Rajma is staple, simple yet the taste is wonderful.

Well i think i don't need to say more well balanced and beautiful to the soul.
All in all it was just the perfect experience that i was looking for. It's beautiful, scented ambience along with the wonderful food served to you is just so peaceful. You could hop into Poush with your loved ones or friends and have a gala time chit chatting. The Essence of Kashmir is amazingly shown by them. Don't you stop folks. Getaway and enjoy it. This place is located in Malad serving Authentic Kashmiri food!!
This place has Super Romantic and ambience, It's kind of a private seating experience. The music was subtle. I was extremely happy with the ambience.
I had ordered for their Veg Thali costing ₹.604 which consists of good number of varieties, However could have been improved with starter's number.
In starters we got:
Nadier churma which was crispy fried Lotus stem pieces. It was super crispy and tasted heaven.
Nadier palak tikki: It was 2 tikki served in Thali. It went well with Chutney.
That's all about starter's
In Mains:
Rajma Masala was the king of Mains. It was perfectly balanced with spices and thickness.
Every spoon was full of flavours.
Nadier palak: It was once again Combination of Spinach and Lotus stem in Vegetable form this time. It made really well
Ruangam chaman: It was kind of paneer tikka. Tasted Okies as Paneer quality could have been little better
Dum Aaloo: It was kashmiri dum aaloo which was extremely spicy. Chilly was over powering the total flavour.
Dessert:
It was Kesari phirni: This was the best dish of my entire meal. It was perfectly sweetened and served in Mud plate.
Ambience is the key, We were feeling like Dinning in Kashmir Inside Shikara!! It was superb!!

The right mix of service, gastronomy and decor. My first 5 star rating. Hidden jewel. For the 1.5 hrs u will spend here you will feel that a peek out of the window and u will see Dal Lake. Keep some time in hand to imbibe the experience. Book in advance over the weekends. Keep this one on ur list for the must do's when visiting this side of town.
We visited pousch which has a great ambience. As the name says it really had the essence of kashmir right from the food to the ambience of the restaurant.
Food items we had here:
1) Non veg thali - kokuryakhin chicken - Rich yellowish white gravy with chicken in it. Never tasted this dish before. Was awesome.
Rogan ghosh- Mutton gravy which was thick and perfectly cooked mutton.
Seekh kabab(mutton), Rajma, nadier palak, raita, rice and roti.
2) Veg thali - Dum aloo, nadier palak, rajma, raita, ruwangan chaman( paneer sabzi), nadir churma, nadir palak tikki, rice and roti
3) At dessert we had gulabjamun which was served hot.
4) Lastly after having all this they served kahwah tea ( made from kashmiri green tea, spices, nuts and saffron) - Tasted a bit sweet.
One of the best places I found in Malad.. For a sweet and pleasant time with your loved ones... It has an elaborate menu and the food tasted perfect.
