Named after Lord Sandhurst, the Governor of Bombay between 1895 and 1900, the station was built in 1910 using funds from the Bombay City Improvement Trust, which he helped raise. The Sandhurst Road railway station (upper level servicing the Harbour Line) was built in 1921.
One of the few Railway station on Indian railway network which has platforms on two levels. Platform no. 1 & 2 are on lower level which belong to Central line and platform no. 3 & 4 are on upper level which are harbour line both belong to Central Railway. The station is old British era still having the plate of Great Indian Peninsular Railway sign on platform no.3 & 4.
Sandhurst road Railway station is one of the best railway station in Mumbai.
It is very clean, doesn’t matter what time you visit the station.
The Station manager Mr. Vinayak Shewale is the man behind all this good work. Be it the security for female passengers, quick response for passengers who get injured while travelling and also the tree plantation and making sure that the station premises and platforms clean.
Always love to visit this station whenever I have work in that area.

Sandhurst Road is a Rail Station on Central Line & Harbour Line.
Platform 3 is for Trains towards Panvel Route & Goregaon Route & Platform 4 is for Trains towards CSMT on Harbour Line.

British Raj time station, named as Sandhurst Road Railway station located in the heart of Dongri... A well placed station connecting all the area of Mumbai and Suburbs... Not so clean but attractive station with 4 platforms. Platform 1 and 2 is for Main Line and 3 and 4 is for Harbour line....
Very old station. it's both harbour and main line, this is third stop from Chatrapati shivaji maharaj terminus from both harbour and main line. Harbour line platform number is 3-4 and for main line platform number 1-2 , for main line we have to get down from ramp, the ramp is at the left side when you enter station. There are 6 ticket windows and 4 ATVM machine. You can also book ticket online From UTS app. Toilet is available at the station at the right side of station as you enter. There is only one entry and exit for this station. No option for escalator for this station. Harbour line station does not have canteen, whereas main line station there is one canteen, a mahanand milk parlour and a chana stall.

Very convenient railway station for travelling on central and harbour line. (to karjat, kasara and to panvel) Central line station is located down and Harbour line station located up.very busy station. Only slow train stops here so not convenient for people who want to travel by fast trains. Toilets are very dirty don't feel like using. Cleanliness to be maintained.
Sandhurst Road a British Timed named station,works as a joining station for two different lines, Harbour line and Central Line.
It is located in Dongri,and is just one station away from CSMT.
It has two levels,the lower level consist of two platforms, platform 1&2 which connects central line,and the upper level consists two platforms, platform 3&4 which connects Harbour line.
Their is train and time indicator located just above as we enter the platform.
It is less crowded in the early 6.30am Morning times and I afternoon,ear about 2-4pm.
