Arrived at 2 PM. Was with best friend so mutually decided order was surmai fry and surmai thali.
Surmai fry was beautifully spiced with red chili and coriander tasted fresh ..enjoyed very bite.
Next thali consisted of surmai tawa fry and rice ..half mackerel curry and rice and roti
..delicious food ... š.
Total rs 510 ..includes 2 small thums up.
2 surmai tawa fry and one surmai tawa fry thali..

This place was a real saviour for sorting out lunch during my working days in Goregaon. Always packed to the brim , this place never disappointed.The service us super quick and the food is total value for Money.Typical manglorian home made taste.Their non veg Thalis are especially the fish thali stand out in the menu.Leaving a select few i would have tried almost every available item on the menu.Would highly recommend this place to office goers in and around Goregaon.

This place is located very close to the goregaon railway station in east. The street is always busy with traffic but once you will have food in your plate you will hardly hear anything.
I always order Chicken/Mutton Thali for my lunch and it is yummm. Indian style food served in thali makes it more like home food.
Staff is good as far as service is concerned.. You will hardly get anything in such quantity near by in reasonable rate like this.
Ambiance is average not so fancy or rich type but you can easily sit and have your lunch with friends and family.
I visit this place whenever i get time as my workplace is close to this Satya Narayan.

We went to have lunch we ordered for sea food that's surmai thali and prawns thali
About food-
it was good no doubts. Fish was fried very well and kadi was also good bit spicy required... but then also it was ok. About prawns thali it was good prawns were also properly fried. And roti was also hot served . quantity is ok and quality is also good.
About ambience -
2 people can sit comfortably on one table. Bit costly.
About staff-
Staff is co operative

A small little place located on a busy road in goregoan,
Serves really good non veg, precisely sea food and crabs.
Like the food,this place is pretty reasonable and worth every single rupee
Good food, specially non veg thalis apart from surmai thali every dish counts and there evergreen zinga chutney in it . Loved it... Keep up thegood work...
Ordered chicken tandoori,bombhil thali,surmai thali,chicken was properly cooked,bombhi and surmai thali was good to taste.and usually other hotels provide coconut chatni but they have their speciality zinga chatni.mouthwatering food ambience is ok.I would rate it 9 out of 10
We had ordered surmai thali and crab thali.
Food was really good and staff was also decent however the solkadi( well known in malvani cuisine) was not good.
Also, place is too small so you cannot plan to go with big group of friends.
The main advantage i would say is the location which is near by goregaon railway station and price was reasonable.

The taste actually comes from Karnataka and Goa according to me!!

If you are finding a larger QUANTITY OF FOOD IN LESS PRICE then this can be a nice option for you!
The one major thing is FISH Dishes are tastier and well cooked than CHICKEN Dishes!
CHICKEN TANDOORI a chicken dish with a lot of spice and well-cooked chicken!
CHICKEN SUKKA is a dish with all the coconut and the spices are blend nicely, but as the name suggest it actually gives a dry chicken with a dry masala with the chicken!!Ā
But for Non-South Indians, they will like the taste!
CHICKEN CURRY was a similar taste to the chicken sukkaĀ but it was good!
KORI ROTI this dish was not as expected you can get much tastier dishes in the town! As it has chicken in it with a roti which was nicely crisp!
The fish are kind of larger in quantity thenĀ chicken!
SURMAI FRY,Ā first of all, the SIZE of the fish was very large and the taste was also very nice and perfectly fried!
SURMAI CURRY or MASALA is also tasty and has a similar kind of a taste of chicken curry but has a different blend of spice!
PRAWNS FRY was alsoĀ nice in quantity and was crisp!
You can try the CHICKEN OR FISH THALI (as per your wish)
All the tahliĀ or you can say Lunch are inclusive of the main dish with its fry and its curry!
There are also many subitems with the thali!
SOl KUDI has a darker smell and taste as compared to other restaurants!
GREEN CHUTNEY has that spicy flavorĀ in it with a perfect blend of coconut in it!
There is special DRY CHUTNEY which is made up of some spices and dry coconut and dry jawla( kind of dry fish)!!
ROTI and NAAN are nice and not that hard to tear and digest!
The Hotel is very nice and quick in DELIVERYĀ so don't worry about the quality and taste while ordering for home delivery!
You can come here at late night too this hotel will be open!
You might come across the waiting outside so don'tĀ mind you will get your seats in few minutes!

After roaming alot for interviews was hungry so decided to visit this place as heard alot about it .U wont believe i paid 280 for a full pomfret fry and surmai thali.I loved the taste of the fish it was fresh and curry was yummy.The thali had dry prawns with coconut,2 bhakri,sol kadi and coconut curry and to my surprise it had 1 piece of fish in it which was tarla in the side well cooked this was without me ordering it and surmai fry and rice. The surmai fry was big enough and crispy .The pomfret was quiet big and the fresh and well fried with rawa which was both tender and crispy at the same time.I mean where do u get such good value for money.The only issue is that the place is full of mens and small so if u want to enjoy go with ur group of friends and not alone.The next time i try

Located right in front of the cow statue is the tiny Satyanarayan Lunch Home. Dishing out mangalorean food since I was a kid
Expect heaps of coconuts in dishes and even as an accompaniment. I mean, the mutton sukka had more coconut than mutton in it.
But what they dont scrimp on the quantity and the food is piping hot
Need to try their seafood though. Stuff other than bombil fry
P.s. In case there's a crowd, that to, late at night, dont try to hustle your way in, u will get your ass handed to you by regulars is what i have heard

i like the food at satyanarayan specially chicken sukka. it is inexpensive. it is less oily. i love south indian food. my dad n sister also loved the food and also surmai fry

Satyanarayan looks awful and the crowd dining here is also notorious at times but there is something to this place that impresses me. The only good thing about this place is its food and the cost.
When it comes to service and ambience this place is not at all good but yeah food is what makes this place special. This is a Manglorean joint that serves good Kori roti, neer dosa, Chicken and mutton sukka and much better than any place in the vicinity. Fish is also good. Bombil fry is a must try and all time favorite also Fish/Chicken/ Mutton Thalis are good. For those who like delicacies like Offals you should definately try Paya Soup, Wajdi or Pota that they offer...its quiet hygienic and tastier than the street carts which are the only places who offer such dishes.
So what makes this place really special is that the taste of food here is decent and the price is the least compared to another restaurant of this type in the whole of goregaon. Another thing good about this place is that its open even at 12.30am so you wont have to sleep hungry in any case if your around.

It is very small, shetty restaurant which might not go well with people those who look for ambiance and hospitality.
This place is near to my house and at 11th hour, I was always counted on this place.
Home delivery option is available but only if you are willing to wait for almost an hour. Best option is to get the parcel by yourself.
Although this restaurant offers Chinese, Punjabi and non veg dishes, best cuisines are south indian. Kori roti and chicken, paplet fry, mutton thali, egg bhurji, prawns masala fry are must try dishes.
If you have taste for south Indian seafood then you will absolutely like the place. Its economical, tasty and easily accessible.
Talking about food quantity , it changes all the time, when fishes are costly quantity is low, otherwise it is good enough.
Pricing is very very economical as compared to any other seafood restaurant.
No points for staff, ambiance and decor.Ā
Rating is purely based on food quality , food quantity.
Unfortunately there is no negative marking system as I would have given to staff behavior.

Our go to place for lunch.. best tasting malwan food at the cheapest rates.. if u think u can do cheaper.. the bet is on.. the food will nake u want more.. and make u want to come and have lunch and dinner every other day.. love the malwan style biryani.. and at only 100 Bucks.. worth every penny and more.. the fish bombil fry ... mouth watering kori roti.. chicken sukka.. fish thali.. name it and it taste good... and its always crowded.. so waiting period is long.. but the taste is worth it.. all n all love it for a normal lunch place..
Ordered Boneless Sukha Chiken today from this place:- the delivery was pretty quick less than 20mins; good quantity (I also got a portion of chicken rassa with it)..the taste was nice with typical south indian flavor to it; a bit spicy though...was more than enough for two of us!..

This was my first visit been craving for fish since long. Ordered the Surmai (kingfish) thali and the Bhutai (Sardine) Thali. The fishes were nicely cooked the fish curry too was delicious.
We had Neer dosa and rice and that enhanced our lunch overall. Solkadi is brilliant.
Ordered a portion of Prawns tawa fry and it was better than expected.
The place serves mainly Manglorean dishes and they are good at it.
Sorry was too busy eating hence forgot to take photos of all that we ordered.

We went yesterday and my friend was craving for fish so he suggested me this hotel. At the first i was hesitating because the space was small and it was Nn AC but as soon as he ordered the bombil and prawns thaliā¦ Uff what a food š„ Delicious š¤¤ I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic.
I order egg Masala thali , was really superb. Two different varieties of egg one with gravy and another with kind of masala ,and two tandoori roti with rice and alo extra chutneys.

Then this should be your go to option. Very close to Goregaon East station. Here they serve some lip smacking fish thalis. My favourite is bangda and surmai tawa fry thali. I have been visiting this place for almost 7 years and they have not compromised on the taste till date. Trust me visit once..

Excellent Food and Pricing. One less star as it is not very easy to eat in a group. All the fish fry dishes and Thali's are very good. You have a choice of Roti, Chapati, Bakri or Neer Dosa with the Thali (I really like the options).
The food is cheap, tasty and fast. You can be in and out in 15 min.
Old Bombay vibe, with delicious Mangalore cuisine. Must try chicken thali, lep thali, bombil (Bombay duck) thali, and biryani. Chapati is in a secret menu if available. Portion is good and food is delicious. They are open for lunch and dinner. The service is good, the owner is friendly and welcoming.
Another indicator of the food being good is that the owner himself has dinner there.
