Started off as a great concept with a very interesting menu. Had food from many different areas of India. Have moved away from that now because of local clientele who seem to prefer standard fare. It’s a pity as they did a very good job earlier. Still not bad but nothing special. Try the Prawns butter garlic and the Paya soup.
The Restaurant is located in a nook and cranny of Parel kind of difficult to find yet once you get there and taste the food you feel all the regional and local flavours of various states and castes. The ambience is based on the rustic village look Service is quick and friendly.

The food was very good full of flavor and yummy it has the local rural flavour and taste and very reasonably priced too.

The dessert of Matka Rabdi was delicious had I not been stuffed with food would have liked to eat 6 of those.
They also have a vast chinese menu which is worth a try.

A small hole in a wall like place. Very cozy. Nice warli painting done on the wall. This place serves different cuisines like Kolhapuri, Bhandari, Saoji, CKP, Chinese, Tandoor, Keralite and Tibetan. A must visit place if you are around Parel area. A perfect blend of distinguished spices. Keep it up States on Plates.

Cuisine is very unique and varied! Must try Saoji mutton if you like hot stuff!! Even prawns lipta is a must try! Definitely a Gastronomical experience!!
Bhai food quality is very nice , I like the prompt service and down to earth staff.
They have a different menu which I really like one should try that for sure .

Yummy yummy.....small place with high range of varieties ....from Nagpur to Tibet n that too with very good quality.....simple n beautiful ambience .....prompt service....saoji,aromatic prawns,chicken crispy,ckp sukka chicken,tripple schezwan rice ,chicken lolypop(yellowish in colour as they dont add colour to it...impressive) are some of the delicacies u must try.....so foodies u must visit this place n give your taste buds a treat....
This is the best restaurant in the area.Fresh and tasty food,clean,lovely professional staff,nice view and great drinks.Make sure you book in advance as is quite busy.
Awesomeness overload !!!! Have been to this cosy and beautifully decorated restaurant at least three times till now !!! Have had best chicken , superbly made fish dishes and even mouth watering veg food !!! Maharashtrian , Asian and Tibetan food are SOPs specialities ! States On Plates serves the most authentic CKP food. It has its unique taste. You can get Malvani food in every corner of Mumbai but this is exceptional. I have ordered almost every dish from their menu. The size of the surmai fry was actually bigger than what I thought. I have also ordered Halwa, Pomfret, Prawns , Bombil. Everything was super fresh and well marinated. I had also odered prawns curry, which was amazing. Chicken curry was also superb, well cooked. And it tasted superb with Bhakri. Must try all the fish dishes from their menu. Value for money and superb place for family dinner outing !!

The best place to eat and enjoy food was awesome and taste must try the bandhari and ckp and the paya soup and not at all acidic .I will visit this joint again and again......

A great variety and authentic taste for especially non vegetarians.

I was surprised that the restaurant having only 20 covers could serve that many cuisines. Kind of hidden gem though. Small restaurant with ok ambience. Walls are decored by Varli Paintings. I had been to the place at the time of closing but still staff greeted us with smile and asked us to Give a final order. We had Chicken Suke, Bheja fry, Surmai Fry . I felt that Chicken was bit oily otherwise food was excellent and the service too was quick and attentive. I loved Bheja Prparation and Surmai was fried al dent. I will surely visit again.
Nice place to chill with your friends...generous and helping staff...good dishes...overall good ambience and a wonderful experience..would recommend to just call inn before and book your table.
A superb hidden gem in Parel maybe a little difficult to find it but once you get there you will worth it every bit !!!! Authentic Food right from Tibetan to Maharastra !!!! Nice interiors @warli paintings !!!! Friendly staff and yes the owners are always happy to suggest according to your taste buds.

Despite being small in size, States on Plates does not disappoint one bit. The food, the service and the ambiance, all good. Loved the Biryani and the Daal Khichdi. I would not be wrong in saying it serves you one of the most authentic Maharashtrian food in Bombay. Well done to the team.

Certainly a nice place to visit specially for young couples. Service was really quick and menu is filled with variety of dishes especially authentic traditional Marathi menu is something very difficult to find these days.
Chinese food is something that you will crave for..Schezwan Triple rice is big soothing for mind and tongue..

This place is praiseworthy for its interiors and ambience.
Had veg shanghai noodles, Shanghai chicken and veg wontons
Beginning with wontons, they were ok.
Shanghai chicken was impressive both in terms of quality and quantity.
Veg shanghai noodles was ordinary.
Service was prompt.
Only downside about this place is that
it's located in a lane which might be difficult to locate.
Plus options in deserts were limited.

We happened to be here on a Friday night around 9 so got a place really easily ( we were the only one that time 😂) It is a very small place with around 5-6 tables only. We ordered cream of spinach soup, babycorn hot chilli for the starters. The soup was really good n more than enough quantity. The baby corn was fresh well cooked n good spices. It wasn't very spicy, just the right amount.The starters have a street food feel n taste to it! N we totally loved that and ended up ordering mushroom salt pepper too.
For mains we ordered triple shezwan rice which was like in any other place- good. The service is a little slow in spite of no crowd. The crowd starts pouring by 10 so go for an early dinner or you'll have to wait for long ;)
Overall a good place n value for money.

Superb place....nice cozy place to go and enjoy some mouth watering food. Their butter garlic prawns are simply just yummmm...their sukha chicken is awesome. their fried rice, garlic chicken is all yum. Had been there on Saturday with my little one and hubby. all they need to do is give nan, tandoori roti, uppam etc...over all great place for variety of food.

So we have been in the quest of good Maharashtrian non veg food non Malvani which is there everywhere and chanced upon this place. We landed there a day before navratri night and found the place fairly empty except a few locals who heard about the place. Their menu is extensive with Chinese punjabi and Maharashtrian surprisingly TibetIan cuisine . We were focussed on the Maharashtrian non veg food. They cover saoji Cpk Brahmin Pathare prabhu cuisine which is not so easily available . The owners themselves dining in the restaurant when we reached sensed our excitement on Maharashtrian non veg food and suggested some of their specials saoji mutton Rassa which is also available in sukka version is to die for ,superbly well cooked mutton pieces and delectable yummilicious gravy a must have .im not much of a mutton eater and I gorged on this one it was too delicious to let go. On recomendation we also ordered the prawns bhujna a feiry spicy dish but superbly yummy as well . The Solkadi was really soul kadi soul touching yummy thick and delicious . A place must visit we are for sure visiting here again !! Great job Nikhil and team all the best . Love your place it rocks !
New Joint just opened behind KEM hospital, had been here on my friends reference.
We had ordered for manchow soup, paneer crispy and paneer chilly. They were served hot , simply yummy and awesome taste. For Main course we went for Hungama rice which was served medium spicy gravy and good to taste. Garlic burnt rice it's been a very long time I had such an tasty with nice odour of garlic refreshing your taste buds.
