Had a sumptuous lunch of chicken vade at this restaurant, opposite Star Mall. I stepped in early. So there wasn't any crowd. As suggested by the waiter, I ordered chicken vade. Ended the meal with sol kadi.
Service was quick. Food was fresh and tasty and the restaurant is hygenic. One can see the kitchen and preparation of food. Prices are reasonable. They have a vast menu. I ordered what was suggested. Hence no opinion on other items in the menu. Noticed quite many vegetarian options in the menu.
Worth a visit while shopping in the area.
Best place to have malvani food in Dadar!
The taste is great and quality if good.
Sea food and kombdi vade are the must try options here.
If you're a malvani cuisine lover and in search of an authentic malvani restaurant in Mumbai Dadar, this is the place. Well honestly they don't scam in the name of malvani cuisine like others (hotel chaitanya at siddhivinayak) or like it's neighbour (hotel gomantak). Must try their komdi vade even their dal is authentically malvani. I personally love their dish called Rassa Vade (must try) and we do love their chicken biryani but its actually not authentic biryani you can say it's a malvani makeover. Don't forget to have solkadi at end.
This is decent place with great food served.
I tried mutton there and it was delicious and very well cooked.
They have nice cleanliness despite of small place. Decent staff. Timing are mentioned for evening are from 6 pm to 11 pm but it opens around 7.30PM.
Solkadhi is very tastey. Unlike other lunch homes there thali is very limited but sufficient for one person.
It is slightly overpriced.
After having food don't miss paanwala near to Gomantak.

Small place in dadar,the food was tasty,tried the thali.
Had pomfret thali, bombil thali and egg thali. The best was worth the price. Service of hotel is good. Food was hot. Loved the food. Hope to visit this restaurant again.

Purva Pangat: Calling all sea food lovers!
In a place brimming with many Malvani joints, the not-so-fancy Hotel Purva Pangat in Dadar West does make its presence felt.
The interiors are not fancy or swanky but who cares when the food is the real winner!
I happened to accidently discover the place on a Monday because all the other Malwani places in Dadar West are shut on that day.
And I was certainly left pleasantly surprised and believe they are not far behind their more famous neighbours Gomantak or Achrekar Malwani Katta when it comes to Malwani style sea food preparations.
We ordered the Surmai Fry Thali and Bangda Fry thali along with bhakri. The Surmai Rawa Fry was a big flat slice of the fish crisply fried and you could feel the freshness of the fish, while the big fried piece of Bangda was also upto the mark, fried perfectly with the right amount of masala.
The fish gravy served along with the thali was so good that we each had around 3-4 refills, and we were not charged anything extra.
You are served green chilly coconut chutney along with Sol Kadi in the thali.
The place has been in existence for the last 15 years but doesn't enjoy the same publicity as some of the other famous Malwani sea food places in the area, but you should definitely try it once.
