Was here last week for a quick breakfast ...Ordered a plate of batata wada and uttappa ... Service was quick and wada was hot and fresh , tasted fantastic, I was also here a day b4 for lunch and that too was a good experience... Will visit again if in this area to explore more.
Good Food to Have. It is located near KEM Hospital. The staff is Polite. A Pocket friendly hotel. If you are visiting any patient at KEM Hospital and Want to have a lunch after that, then must go and have a brunch at the Restaurant.
Amazing malvan food. Spicy, tasty and good quality. I have tried Vajri and prawns so far. Absolutely delicious. Those who are going to complain about the ambience, just order a take away and eat at home. Food is totally worth it.
This place an going from my childhood and it served good Malvani food so if anybody looking for the Malvani restaurant in Parel then this is the right place and they even served really good Chinese. Try there komdi vadde it's yummm. Recommended.
Hotel Sahyadri is situated opposite to KEM hospital. This outlet serves best galvanic and Kolhapur food. It also serves Chinese dishes.
I ordered one mutton thali. In thali, you will get one chicken dry, one rasa, rice, bhakti or chapati, and onion.
Food taste was good and you can feel the taste of malvani food in every bite. The food quantity is enough for one person.
Also, the rates are very low as compared to other restaurants in the area.
This place is located in Parel !! Their quality and quantity of food is very much good !! Their speciality is for sea food !! Chinese cuisine is also good and tasty !! Lolly pops are very juicy !! This place is good to dine out with family and friends !! Services is also good !! Love this place !!
What I love in their food is Chinese. Amazing fried rice and chicken lollypop. Their chicken wada combo is also good. It's strictly one time go for outsiders and not that great menu wise but not a bad place when on budget!
Comfort food. The thali plates tastes like home cooked food and the chicken and seafood dishes too are good. Chinese food is not that much upto the mark. Service is good enough.
I have been reading some of the reviews here and am appalled. There is one gentleman who has given a terrible review twice. Why would he go back if it was so bad the first time?
I have been going to this restaurant for about 30 years now. Since my days in college and now with family and friends. Admittedly, the character of the restaurant has changed over the years. If anything, it has improved with an AC section now.
The food quality had deteriorated a few years back and we had stopped coming. But it has picked up now and has been excellent for the last 3 years and I go there pretty frequently. This is what makes me doubt the reviews below.
You get very good Malwani food here. The Gravies tend to have a sameness about them, but that basic gravy is very good. I would highly recommend the Prawn or Mutton Sukka, Wade, Khima, Bombil Fry and an unusual but outstanding Bangda Biryani. Bangda being a black oily fish does very well in a biryani and this is the only place I have seen the dish. Also not to be missed is the Jawala Sukka when available (small dried shrimp). They also do Vajdi (tripe) if that is up your alley.
There are quite a few Malwani restaurants around but this is the only one with an AC section. They do have chilled Sol Kadi but I have had better. Stick to the great food.
Yummy fish thaali. Tried their mandeli thaali which came with rice, curry, my favourite bhaakri and mandeli fried with a crispy coating. It was reasonably priced at Rs170. The chapati version costs Rs 150. They also serve other fish including bombil, pomfret, bhangda and mori (shark). Burrp! They have an AC section too.
Right in front of KEM hospital where I work. Been to this place few times. Food is good overall but I would rate it lower than Trupti Ahar which is cheaper and has more tastier food.
Chicken lollipop gravy: Good in taste and quantity. Very spicy which is the way I like it.
Garlic chicken and Garlic prawns: Chicken dish was good but prawn varient was ordinary. Prawns tasted like frozen ones which are stored since many days.
Chicken chilly: Good is taste.
Chicken mancurian: Again good dish and nothing to complain.
Rice bhakhari: Nice, soft and tasty. Nothing to complain.
Overall good restaurant for non veg food specially chinese and typical Maharashtrian food. But prefer Trupti Ahaar over this.
I frequently visit this place for lunch as it is situated right next to my college. They serve awesome Non Vegetarian dishes. Their Chicken Masala Fry is fabulous and their Rice Bhakri and Kombadi Wade are to die for.. Their Chicken and Fish Thali are served hot and their fishes are fresh and taste good.. I'm not much of a fish eater but their Mandeli Fry was tasty.. The staff is friendly and the service is good.. The place is reasonably priced and worth its price..
Yes - Nice place to enjoy some staple Konkan region food especially sea food. Also Chinese food is nice and good in quantity. They also serve chicken and mutton food items. Pls. do try this place. It's pretty old in the vicinity.

Also Tomato uthhappa is well made
This is an old but upgraded establishment that serves tasty maharastrian n south indian food at affordable prices. The decor is good. The staff is courteous and service is quick. Good Maharashtrian food. Misal pav is best.
Right in front of KEM Hospital where I study. Usually we have food in Aditi restaurant only but a friend of mine said this one had better food than the central canteen so you should try it out.
Place is very small with tightly fit small tables.
Puneri Misal Pav - Very nice tasting dish for Rs. 40. Totally worth it.
Puri Bhaji - Puri's in this restaurant are always freshly made and thus hot. Bhaji was good. Cost is Rs. 50.
Shrikhand Puri - A friend ordered it once and I loved it. Shrikhand was perfectly sweet and tasted great with the Puri they make. Cost Rs. 50. Total value for money.
Its a budget hotel....so don’t expect much than food...but must say food is what can attract you to this place again and again...has both veg and non veg options..and at a very decent price. Locate very near to KEM hospital. Service and ambiance is not the focus as its a budget place. Tidy place to enjoy good food and movie on...👍🏼👍🏼
Traditionally serving Maharashtrian cuisine (snacks like batata vada, alu vadi, misal pav, pohe and lunch items such as thali and pithala bhakari), it has added Chinese and Punjabi dishes to its menu. Tasty food, fresh and served hot. Only vegetarian items available. Staff helpful. No frills restaurant. Not air-conditioned.
This place an doing from my childhood and it served food Malvani food so if anybody looking for the Malvani restaurant in Parel then this is the right place and they even served really good Chinese. Try there chicken handi with some chapati or bhakari it's yummm. Recommended.
Excellent non veg food, ordered a surmai fry with jawar chapati and mutton fry Masala all very delicious and not very expensive too... There is an ac room too but am.nit sure of they turn on the ac.. But if you want authentic Maharashtra food it's where you can u wanna go
Situated opposite gate number 3 of Kem hospital. This place serves maharashtrian cuisine. Had bhakari with Vanga bharit( brinjal preparation). Masala bhaat( tondli rice) is also tasty though oily. They also serve Shrikhand Puri perennially and aamras Puri during summers. Usually crowded during lunch time on weekdays. Feel free to share your table!!

Mysore Masala Dosa - Ordinary all the way. Dosa, chutney or masala inside it all were ordinary.
In an all a good place for people who want decent food without digging deep into their pockets.
great place for eating & is hygienic too.Good old hotel now renovated & serving traditional maharastrian, north & south indian dishes.Situated infront of KEM hospital.
Such an old restaurant. Tasty food, be it chinese or Malvani style food. Always an awesome time in there. Good staff.
Must visit for Authentic Maharashtrain cuisine. Batata vada and puneri misal are simply amazing. Zunkha bhakri is a must have dish.
