Simply a fantastic place. Friendly and enthusiastic host. We chose dishes, there was a menu as well. The food was amazing, it had unique combinations of ingredients. One point of feedback, the wine card was expensive. The place does not seat many people which creates a nice and atmosphere. Must visit!

Le Gavroche has remained one of the best gastronomical restaurants in Strasbourg for the last couple of years. The quality of execution and the depth behind every dish is what keeps me coming back. Service is kind and patient, and adapts your needs to every menu item.

This little restaurant in Strasbourg had a certain ambiance for couples. The kind where you take your loved one for that special date. I ordered the foie gras, salmon with risotto and Yuzu citron tart with meringue. These items are one of my least favorite food, but today I fell in love. Maybe that's how they received a Michelin star, won over the heart of everyone. That's what I consider great! Mr. Lawrence was nice, sincere and very good at what he does.

Impressive menu design and ingredients appear very carefully prepared. Never thought to pair chestnut with scallops or yuzu with chicken. Refined French cooking techniques shine throughout each dish.

Alsace is just a foodie paradise. I can’t get enough! This time we went to restaurant Gavroche, close to the place d’Austerliz, a vivid, joyful area of the city. Gavroche is situated in a small side street, about 15 seatings, so be ready to make your reservation on time. The decor is modern with touches of Japanese influences. From the design to the whiskey bottles, to the dishes. A mention to the lovely staff is also in order, particularly the maitre was an attentive and dedicated personality, which we all appreciated very much. Let’s talk about the food though. *** Starting with an amouse-bouche based of mackerel and a delicious bisque d’homard. I particularly enjoyed this first course and the product respect. *** Next i opted for the langoustines (scampi) gyoza with rhubarb, daikon (a wintertime mild flavored radish), cherries and a cold grey crevettes (crangon crangon) consommé with fermented miso. I particularly enjoyed the contrast in flavors and the cold consommé was refreshing. *** Follows a fantastic homard bleu, chorizo, seashells façon paella adjusted by a pinch of saffron from the region. What a delightful, intense course. *** All good things come to an end, let’s be it sweet. A light and delicate dessert, white and yellow peach in different textures, crumble and napolitaine joghurt, strawberry. *** Wine: Riesling d’Alsace, cuvée Henriette 2017

We dined at Gavroche on a Monday night and it was full (a good sign). The decor was modern behind a classic Strasbourg facade. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. The food was magnificent, well presented and delicious - the blue lobster was a particular highlight. A local Riesling was an excellent accompaniment. We had an entree and main meal but we delighted by many additional small treats during the meal. A excellent meal in a relaxed setting. We recommend highly.

It was a beautiful experience. Everything was perfect. The lady in black that was attending the tables was incredibly kind and perfect in her attention to us. It's a five stars restaurant. We will be back.

This place is between upscale and mid-range, closer to the former. The food is inspired by French (mostly local) cuisine, creatively served. The "formule" option is priced lower than a similarly sized meal combined from the a-la carte part. The quality is high, although the steak could have been much more tender, considering its price point. Recommend asking for wine pairings with chosen dishes. Service is discreet and attentive, but since you're in France don't expect it to be fast or even reasonably expedient - rather, prepare for a slow-paced evening of leisurely chats and occasional intake.

Excellent choice! We hesitated ve between a slightly less expensive on open air and this one, and we never regretted. Great food and elegant service. It’s definitely worth price.
