The food was simpy great. Ordered Biryani and Chicken Chilli, the flavours were great and packaging was good too. The raita served along with the biryani was very flavoursome too. The thing I really liked was the quality of ingredients was really nice and the food was not greasy at all which one typically gets for Biryanis. The concept of serving dishes by the kilo is awesome. Eager to try out the rest of the dishes on the menu. The only thing I couldn't understand is why was the person taking the order pushing for Zomato or Swiggy to deliver? Overall a great place to order food especially for house parties and get togethers..
Awesome concept n delicious food. All cuisines under one roof is what u can look here for. I have ordered food a couple of times frm here fr larger groups as well as fr small group never have I ever faced any problem. We tried various dishes here, quality of the food is very good with good quantity. At many occasions they have also send extra starter fr free. Their service was prompt n delivered on time mostly before time. Overall it's an amazing experience looking forward to order again.

Ordered food for a party of 20ppl.. Chicken Dum biryani was yumm. The chicken starters were a hit with the the attendees. Only thing please request the biryani to be delivered in the steel vessel and not in plastic containers.
My veg biryani that was limited however in a plastic container went off and got spoiled within hours😢 but the taste was superb for veggies as well.

Organized a lunch event at my office. Food was delivered from Goregaon to Worli. The team of FBK was very helpful in suggesting the right quantity for a mix of menu. Food Quantity is absolutely Amazing. We ordered Butter Chicken Gravy, Which was Yum, Right amount of oil and delicious succulent chicken. We also ordered two chicken starters, the chicken was cooked perfectly in twin pepper and thai basil sauce. We got complimentary Naan with our orders, Soft Naan, Probably the only non chewy Naans I've had. Compliments to Chef for time and again Delivering a delicious meal. Ordered food for a small get-together of 30 people last sunday. FBK has a variety of cuisine to order from. Mr. Himanshu guided us very well for the quantity of food that we should order. Though we insisted to order larger portions, he advised us against it. The estimated quantity that Mr. Himanshu advised us to order was good enough for the gathering. Food was delivered on time as instructed. Appetizers & main course were well prepared and delivered hot. Guests were all praises about the good. They even provide person who can help you serve at an extra charge. Will definitely recommend them for ordering food for small get-togethers. They even sent us free garlic nans (part of the scheme they have one till 31 May), though we had not asked for it.One suggestion, would be great if you can provide option to have food in hot cases for parties organized outside venue, at some nominal charges.

Time and again we have ordered food from this place for most condescending of our guests.. and all we have heard is good things! Besides being value for money, FBK has a varied multi cuisine to suit everyone's palate and pocket. If you are expecting the authenticity of the dishes to be of gourmet standard, please don't because even the best of chefs cannot churn out authentic dishes at this costing. Having said this, the kitchen team at FBK has tried to keep the food tasty and wholesome and very easy on the palate. Kudos to team FBK for coming to our rescue in hosting cosy and grand parties in the comfort of our homes!!!

Fantastic food and great price! Rasika who took our order is super polite, honest and makes great suggestions. I ordered Paneer Makhni, Cheese Jalapeno poppers, Dilliwali chili chicken, achaari tandoori gobi, kurkur bhindi, cucumber and carrot sticks with lemon mayo, kheer and jalebis today and everything exceeded my expectations - the food, the prices, on time delivery, packing and quantity! This is a late post , I was looking to for home delivery options for a function at my house and upon doing some research stumbled at the FBK webpage. read the great reviews but was still apprehensive. i ordered for round 15 people . i called up FBK and placed my order after discussing with the representative, my order was 1 KG Potato Cheese Croquettes, 1 1/2 KG Achari Paneer Tikka, Veg Kolhapuri kadai Paneer 1 Kg each and Chapatis . The order came right on time and the representative had told me that they prepare the food let it cool off and then pack it or else the food gets soggy in it steam especially items like croquettes. before servig i tasted each and every item and cant tell whcih was best. The food was loved by all and even the number and web address of FBK was shared. at the end of the day i was happy that my function ended on a happy note with content and smiling faces. Thanks to FBK.

We usually order for our office team lunch from Food by the kilo wherein, they make sure that the food reaches on time. I loved the concept and the idea that they really serve food generously. We order vegetarian food, I love their crispy bhindi, paneer dishes and their vegetables. I am also a fan of their dal fry and jeera rice. I have never tasted their non-veg menu, but I expect it to be good. A good place for ordering food for parties

First off, FBK is a lovely concept. It feels like a novelty to witness an extensive menu for by the kilo orders, as against the staple biryani fare that most restaurants offer. The menu itself is a pleasurable sight, offering plenty of variety. I recently got the chance to sample their corn cheese balls, a prawn starter (good old prawns chilli, I think), butter chicken, and chicken biryani at a friend's birthday party.
The food was hands down delicious. The prawns were large, fresh and juicy, and very well cooked. I couldn't decide if I liked the prawn better than the spice mix though. My favourite dish of the night was, however, the chicken. I'm not usually a fan of restaurant butter chicken, but this was exceptional. The gravy wasn't too rich or buttery as they usually are, but it was definitely sumptuous and hearty. Paired with roomali rotis, I feasted on the chicken, and nearly everyone went for seconds.
The chicken biryani was equally good, there was plenty of meat in the rice, so there was no scavenging for chicken amidst dry rice. The chicken wasn't dry as biryani chicken can tend to become, and that made me very satisfied. All in all, it was a very hearty meal that left me stuffed for hours (in a good way). The food seems to be reasonably priced, and definitely well worth the quantity. I was left pleased with my experience, and may in fact order from FBK again sometime soon. Very promising.
Really good food, ideal for parties or hungry hordes. The butter chicken is ahhhh-mazing, and the Biriyani takes one to the small by-lanes of Lucknow and Hyderabad. The concept of selling food by the kilo is unique and useful, and once you realize how good the food is... Well, one kilo ain't enough!
I ordered Indian food in bulk from FBK for around 50 people on 3 different occasions and my experience has been outstanding. On all 3 occasions the food quality and taste has been amazing. There was no compromise on the quality or the quantity of the food. The staff and the delivery were very prompt and responsive. The charges are also moderate.
Overall I am pretty impressed!!!
I had ordered 1 kg paneer tikka biryani on 14th mar'16, trust me the quantity was amazing, justifying the price and it taste amazing like any special biryani house.
The only part i didn't like was that paneer was not malai paneer and the cheese corn balls that we ordered hardly had cheese and was bland
After ages did I have such good Butter Chicken! The quantity is brilliant.
The concept is very interesting and the variety they offer in terms of dishes is fantastic.

As my office is located in goregaon, many times we search for restaurants to order from.
While discussion with colleagues, someone suggested for this place so we thought to five a tried.
To place an order here you have to plan your day. As the food is available here in kilos, you will need to place an order prior 4-5 hours.
We ordered paneer tikka biriyani of 1 kg. We got our orders and I was literally shocked looking at the quality and quantity they provided. We 7 were suppose to have a kilo of biriyani but the quantity served almost 10.
The quality of gravy was good, even the rice was big and the paneer was fresh enough.
The quantity was so much for 10 people in a kilo that even if you are hungry enough, this biriyani will satisfy you.
You also get salad, raita and fried onion with biriyani.
Overall I found it satisfactory.
It costed us around 924 rupees which led us contribute less than 100 rupees per head.
Loved the taste and loved the quantity.
I would suggest people around should try biriyani one from #FBK.

Guests just loved the mushroom and potato in sambal oelek. It will definitely be in my menu next time.
Pasta was ordinary but the quantity was huge. And I just loved the taste of paneer tikka, though after some time the paneer started becoming hard. The garlic bread was also nice but I had to toast it again...
Overall it was a good experience...

Heard of this place from an office colleague of mine. Was having a party at home a couple of months back and decided to try them. Was pleasently surprised at the quality of food and the pricing. Wish I had known of this place when I was staying in Borivili as a bachelor. Could have survived just on this food, given the variety. Awesome prawns, chicken wings, spinach cheese, chicken lollipops, etc. Have placed repeat orders too. Only problem with the delivery is the distance to my home in Powai. The crispy dishes tend to get soggy and they need to find a better way of delivering these. Also need to avoid stuffing all the quantity in the take away plastic boxes. Must experience the food from here.

Whenever there is a get together at my house or a party at my office this is the place we order food from.
The quantity is great and so is the taste. The food by kilo concept is absolutely awesome & convenient for small parties.
They do charge a delivery fee but it would not burn your pockets
The menu is very well divided into 3 categories Chinese, Continental and Indian. I have only ordered their vegetarian delicacies so i am not sure about how well their non veg section is.

Ordered after some strong referrals from friends , and were very happy with the personalised attention and keenness to delight not only while taking the order but also for feedback ... A big positive ! The food is moderately priced and great value for money ... Our first order .. And it was
1. Chicken Malai Tikka - was comparable to the fine dining experience .. Soft , succulent , fresh and appearance too was great .. Highly recommended.
2. stuffed mushrooms - was a big hit with guests and definitely on our list for a repeat order.
3. Paneer Satay - ordered this as vegetarian snack, but the batter contains egg - so this may not be suitable for veggies. Decently done .. But would not order if it does not fulfil the requirements of a vegetarian dish.
4. Chicken Satay - recommended as finger food ... But definitely not a satay in the Indonesian style..
5. Chicken in hot garlic sauce ... Recommended as a good alternative to any of the offerings from the other popular takeaways ... Beats 5Spice in my books.

Good for a party at home or office. Taste is better than many restaurant. Recommend - tandoori cauliflower, chicken reshmi tikka, chilly mushroom, kebab... Biriyani is okay. Food quantity is good. Value for money.

Sorry this review is coming a month too late..however, here goes...
We were going to have small family gathering and wanted to order some biryani and starters. We didnt wanna order from the usual places. So we took Zomato in searching out a good biryani outlet...we found few but nothing seemed to impress us...finally I cam across FBK and saw the menu and I grew curious..then I read the review by Ritika Gupta. I was more impressed. Next day was a sunday and that was the day of the gathering. We ordered late, close to 1 pm in the afternoon for a bulk order for the same day evening. The person at the other end said we will try our best to be before 8. We had ordered for tawa paneer starters, chicken tikka biryani, paneer tikka biryani and another chicken starter. They came ahead of the time they promised. However, when we saw the quantity we were a bit concerned if we would fall short. So we asked again the guy who delivered that for x numebr of guest would this be sufficient and he confidently said yes. However, we were not so sure. He told us in case if you fall short please give the same as feedback. We were not sure as the food was packed in containers and seemed less.
When we served it to our family not only did the like the food..all of it...but we didnt fall short. In fact we had a good quantity as leftover...nearly one container unopened.
We liked their service delivery, the food, the quantity, the delivery guy who asked us to give our honest feedback.
We liked it enough to order a second time in bulk. This time it was the Homestyle chicken gravy and tandoori chicken lollipops. All was good.

Excellent range of food, from Chinese to Continental to Indian, there's something for everyone. We had ordered the Spicy Jhinga Biryani, Dilli Chilly Chicken and Sabzi do Kheema. The quantity was excellent and the taste was better than what I had expected, considering the price. I can't wait to try the Chinese and Continental next time!
I'd definitely recommend this place. Just a note: You need to order 6 hours in advance as they do not make the food on the spot, so it's really good for people who are expecting a bunch of guests or having a planned event in their office. They are very punctual with their delivery.
We ordered arabbita and mexicani chicken pastas and paneer twin pepper. The quantity was way too much than we expected. The taste was satisfactory. The way it was packed was different but good. However, it would have been better had we eaten it fresh and hot.
Well... I happened to come across this place while finding some good bulk food options on Zomato since i am organising a friend's birthday party on 5th march. The menu looks impressive and so i had the urge to order something beforehand to try the taste... FBK did not disappoint me at all... Infact i ordered for spicy jhinga biryani and tandoori chicken salad and it tasted heavenly ! These dishes turned out to be yummilicious ! My mother just could not even have the patience to transfer the biryani onto a dish... She was hogging from the same container it was packed in and i had to ultimately snatch the spoon from her... Keep up the good work FBK and i wish to have good experience like this with you in future and i will definitely recommend it to friends ! Cheers !

Non veg and veg food is too good . We are senior citizens and they cater for our taste . Pl believe us , Portion is too much for 2 of us .

My go to place for great tasting Indian food. Their butter chicken and range of kebabs are just divine. The quantity is great and quality is top-notch. I like that they have an extensive menu that includes Indian, Chinese, Continental and a few pasta dishes as well. So if I am having people over, it is a perfect place to get a variety of cuisines in one order. They also maintain excellent hygiene and sanitation. Which is important in these times.

We are ardent fans of FBK. Pakodewaley kadi, homemade chicken curry, butter chicken, chicken ambarsayia, all three daal's, (my mouth is watering as I write this review) and many more. They take a little while more than others to prepare the food with love and we are patient for the good food that's on the way. No complaints so far. A must try outlet for all. Eat in the comfort of your home and its piping hot. Lovely...

The experience was the best... We ordered for catering to few foreign clients and Foodfirst went out of their way to meet our needs.
We requested and they provided is the least i can say. Live counters for sandwiches, salads, Burmese Khou Suey accompanied by Butter Chicken, Yellow Dal, Biryani Rice, Palak Paneer and desserts. The taste was to perfection and the Khou Suey is to die for. I can walk a few miles for that alone...
Keep up the good work and your passion to deliver the best and to the client needs.

FBK serves one of the best food in town. The services is very professional and upto the mark. The quality of food is really flavourful with very good quality ingredients. The menu is very extensive too to compliment the quality and service. The cherry on the cake is very economical pricing.

Food by the kilo is literally my extended kitchen when it comes to inviting friends and family for parties. All kinds of cuisines, Punjabi, South Indian, Sindhi, Chinese, Italian just about all kinds are cooked with perfection. Taste and quality of the food is excellent.
We ordered burnt garlic rice, hakka noddles n exotic vegetables in Manchurian sauce .... the food was amazing and perfect for our taste... it was sufficient for 20 people... thank u food by kilo for lovely food .. this helps us enjoy family get together rather than spending more time in kitchen...
We just love the food that they deliver at FBK the pricing is unbelievably reasonable and the portions are huge Their gholphol Biryanis are mouth watering. Blessing in disguise during the covid period. All the best guys.
We have had their food, multiple times, and the taste n quality is tooooo good. Very economical, yet quality contious. Their seafood starters, lemon grass chicken are unbeatable. Must try.
