The Church is a unique one built under the architectural eye of the great Charles Correia, it consists of 5 concrete domes with no supporting beams. It is styled on the Old Testament Biblical theme of the Tents of Meeting under which Moses encountered God. It has a masterwork of MF Hussain hidden away under a few curtains it depicts Jesus and Mary in the central tryptic with Adam and Eve on the other two panels of the tryptic. The original 400 year old statue of Our Lady of Salvation stands in the foreground of this painting. This Church is also called Portugese Church because the present Church stands on the same spot where a 400 year old Portuguese structure once magnificently stood.

The church is very close to highway near sidhhivinayak temple ....and around 10 -15 min from dadar railway station. I love the structure of the church and the area in which it is spread is very beautiful. The entrance of the church is also too beautiful.

One of the oldest churches in Mumbai which was rebuilt in the 1970's under the design of eminent architect late Charles .Correa and hence a unique design in comparison to other churches in Mumbai or even India. The roof stained glass has been painted by eminent Indian painter Late M.F.Hussain.Hence besides being a place of worship has architectural and painting display of the 20th century.

This Church is best known as Portuguese Church. 5 to 7 mins walk from Dadar station West. Covid protocols are followed strictly at the Church. The magnificent architecture will make you fall in love with this Church. It's peaceful and serene. It has a medical centre, a parish hall for meetings, a Rosary garden, a ground where the parish feast is celebrated.

I don't get the concept that why such religious places don't allow people from different religion. God doesn't have any religion. It's us who made it. This place had good vibes, very peaceful but if you're from a different religion, people there will not accept you and make you feel unwanted or might just poke you for being there.
