One of my favourite places for parsi food is sodabottleopenerwala.. i visited this outlet when it had just opened in bandra and after that this has been one of my regular eating places..
Last time i visited this place was during parsi new year last year for lunch.. i am not sure whether they have the parsi thali on regular days but i was lucky enough to have it when i visited last year..
The non veg version of the thali comprised of, rice sarya (papad), gajar mewa nu achar (carrot pickle spicy and tangy), sali chicken (red coloured tangy mild spicy semi gravy with chicken and sali), patra ni macchi (pomfret in a green spicy tangy chutney wrapped and steamed in a banana leaf) the famous dhansak (brown pulao type rice and a spicy dal), bread custard (bread pudding for the sweet tooth)
All the above dishes were mind blowing, could suffice two people.. very tasty food! Totally loved it!

Each recipe is authentic and unique. Specially Akuri, berry pulao and their authentic deserts. Loved
Enjoyed the parsi food on Navroze. The salli chicken and berry pulao were especially superb. Thanks very much.
This place is good to visit with group of friends to grab quick meals... The ambience is active and cheerful with music on....
I ordered pulao which was average in taste...
Chicken cutlet was comparatively tasty...
Also ordered some drinks here...
The staff was supportive too....
The price is however a bit high comparison to the food ...
I can give it 4/5
Scrumptious parsi food, their chicken farcha is simply brilliant. Overall a great dining experience.
Absolutely loved this place! It honestly is so deserted at night you wouldn't believe theres a crowd! Went it and was amazing! The food is pretty good! Their cutlets and starters are amazing! Best part is their service- they can still get your order properly in pitch black and hear you over all the loud noise!
Lovely place to hangout with your friends 🥰
Food is Really Great😋
Great Ambience with good Music🎶😍
You get a Good Vibe😍🥰
Great service & must visit a place🙂
I ordered the Berry Pulao & the Parsi Vegetable Curry. The pulao had a really strong fragrance and having that with the Vegetable Curry, which was spicy and quite flavourful. Overall, the Berry Pulao & Vegetable Parsi Curry is a really nice combo to try out if you’re looking to explore something new.
Good food with great quality. For non-vegetarians it is a very good place to visit🍗Definitely a great place to spend your evening 👍🏻 Best place to enjoy a perfect parsi cuisine 😊

Loved everything I ate here. Try the bacon vadapav. The laggan nu custard is lovely. Will be back to try the berry pulao and patra ni macchi
Viceroy if the best! I love the lunch buffet- you can tell they always use the freshest ingredients.
I especially love the saag paneer and malai kofta--this place is a haven for vegetarians. My husband who ate lamb and tandoori chicken absolutely loved it too.
Lovely place. Went here for bollywood night Saturday to ring in friends anniversary. Really great fun. Lovely DJ and good food for vegetarians also. Very good service. All good but with the crowd in later it was a sweat pit
This is a place which is actually meant for breakfasts and brunches ! The music played is perfect and the food is also so tasty ! We ordered omelette bun maska and 2-3 more dishes ! The rates are high but it’s worth it. We also preferred Parsi drinks , this is what it is famous for! Over all it was a good experience and the ambience is every lively. We enjoyed a lot. I would recommend one to visit here.
Had an amazing evening here. Food is really great. Iranian chai and chicken farcha are must try. Great ambiance with great music. Only drawback was the service was a little bit slow. Overall a good experience.
We have been to this outlet a few times. The food has always been good, but wanted to call out the service this particular time. Our server, Shankar Mani was particularly courteous and went out of his way to ensure that we had a good time. The experience was very pleasing and would like to thank him for the same. Would definitely be back again!

Recently visited this place superb ambience good food with super cool drinks nice place to chill with friends Bartender Prashant Jadhav is a super cool buddy 👍🤘 will visit soon
This place does not disappoint! The ambience is great and the food portions are just right. The staff, particularly Shankar, was very vigilant, responsive and rendered great service. He clearly loved what he was doing and I truly admire that in any restaurant. It shows how capable the place is in making sure you have a pleasant experience overall. It all counts! I’m not Parsi but I definitely am a foodie. And I always enjoy the food here! Great job guys!
Food at sodbottkeopenerwala franchise never disappoints ... be it anything I ha e tried al.ost all the veg dishes at various outlets of this franchise n always found my tummy feeling happy about it .. but my personal favourite is the one at powai for its crowd ...
Amazing food, amazing service special thanks to our server - Shankar, and very nice ambiance.
Excellent place.....too good food & super courteous staff.
The service as gone down from what it was. The akuri is still good. However, it's not accompanied by the wheat bun anymore.
The food is amazing, specially eggs kejriwal and baida roti, the raspberry soda is great, the ambience is amazing
Loved the food. Kheema pav was meaty & yum. Chicken berry pulav and crispy corn bhel were also very good. Only thing that irked me was the pitcher of beer. If it's not 1.7 L please don't call it a "pitcher".
We went for a team lunch to sodabottleopenerwala.
Ambience: 8/10
The place was wonderful. Beautiful Wall decor. A bit of Parsi history with photos. They also have a funny list of Parsi movies which didn't make it to the big screens. Funny rules that need to be followed like no flirting, no taking selfies with the staff, etc. Antique wall clock which displays the current time in Timbuktu. Comfortable chairs. All wooden decor. I have given only 8 because the music was a bit loud.
Food: 10/10
We ordered tomato coriander soup. Meatless Baida roti and cheesy masala fries as appetizers. In main course we had the Parsi vegetable curry, Papeta and Gobi nu bhaji, Paratha, Gehu ni Rotli, Berry Pulao and steamed rice. For dessert, we had Parsi kulfi and Mawa cake with vanilla ice cream.
Quantity was more than adequate. Taste was delicious. I would recommend the Meatless Baida roti and cheesy masala fries. Both were crispy and yummy. The Baida roti was served with dhania chutney and the fries with mayo. Also, the combo of Mawa cake and ice cream which was heavenly. Check out the pics. I had the Sodabottleopenerwala special cold coffee which was served in a beautiful jar.
Service: 10/10
We were catered to by Mr. Valmiki. The service was fast. He provided us details of each item and the portion to expect.
Overall: 9/10
A must visit place with family, friends or colleagues. I would definitely visit this place again specially to try out their breakfast menu.
What a place....what a vibe😍

Parsi Cafe's are among the essential aspects of the classic Bombay culture. They have had a very important role to play in this epic saga called Bombay! The day of an average Bombay citizen began at a Parsi Cafe with a cup of tea and bun maska. Soda Bottle Opnerwala is one of the few places who have successfully brought the culture to the masses and kept it alive. From a chilled out night with live music till crazy party nights, they've got it all. This time we were at the live music night and boy it was amazing!
We decided to go for the new menu.
To start things up we ordered
Russies favorite chicken wings.
These were one of the most flavor rich wings I had ever tried, they had the proper Desi tadka in them, it had a very homely feeling, infact everything here feels like it came out of your mum's kitchen.
Next up we went with the Staff Pickled Chicken Tikka, again the chicken was loaded with flavour and the huge chunks were very appetizing. Loved the tenderness of the chicken.
Now it was time for the Khaari Pizza! One of the most unique pizzas I've ever tried, the base was made of fresh baked Khari a classic accompaniment at any Parsi Cafe. It was the perfect blend of Bombay and Rome. The Khari Pizza is highly recommended.
Next up we tried the Egg Wrapped Kheema Pulav. Classic Bombay tawa Pulav tossed in mince and masala skillfully wrapped around by a whole Omlette served along with some flavoured Kachoomar. This is a very filling dish and can suffice for two. Again, highly recommended.
Next up we also tried the Chicken Ghee Roast. Chunks of chicken roasted with spicy masalas and desi ghee, this has it's own flavour trip, best enjoyed with a hot paratha, please don't mind the calories it's worth it.
Later we went for the Chocolate Fondant it was served with a small scoop of butterscotch ice cream and it only sweetened the deal for us!
SBOW is certainly a great spot for the perfect night out and some authentic homely food.
Thank you.
So I visited this place on a Friday evening had prior reservation made.
As soon as I entered the place it gave very good vibes and I was just hoping that the over all experience does go good considering it was a dry day. Which was prior informed to us which was really good.
The ambiance was spectacular as per the Parsi culture. They had a juke box tho we dint dry it out remembered the old times.
Starting with the food we ordered baita chicken, khari pizza and french fries masala. All the three dishes were really good. The quantity served was also good. The khari pizza was one of my favorite would really want to head back and order something like that from there.
Overall experience was amazing would surely head back and go to the place again.
Love the chicken farcha and the desert. The ambience is so comfy and the service was helping to choose what to eat as I went there for the first time but felt so comfortable. I offered for the drink which I didn't like they made sure to take it back and get me the simple yet refreshing ice cream soda and made sure to charge me fir the sida and not the other drink that I oredered earlier. Sweet!!!
Friday nite.DJ nite with bollywood music and some really good food
egg omelette with maska pav, khari pizza, cheese chilly pav, corn cheese bhel with masala fries were all enough to dance the nite through , in dim lights and some realllllly good music.
definitely a place to be at with some good crowd as well
didn't understand the funda of allowing kids at that point of time
nevertheless we enjoyed every bit of it
Awesome food coupled with great live music
What to say about this place? You gonna simply love it. There are a variety of different dishes to try out. We tried Maska Bun with Iranian tea (since we walked in very early) which they suggested to sip along, Aloo Parathas with curd and mango murabba served in a traditional way (awesome) and six berries cocktail to quench our exotic thirst.
Soda bottle opener wala is a fine place to visit if you have a Persian / Iranian food taste to your tongue.
The dishes are well prepared and served. Staff is very humble and polite.
Berry Pulao, Raspberry Soda are finest of its dishes.

A quick working lunch where I wanted to introduce my out-of-city colleague to Bawa food!! So, we went for regular stuff - chicken berry pulao, chicken dhansak and ice cream soda. Plus, how can one forget caramel custard and lagan nu custard.
The quantities were pretty sufficient for 2 - maybe a bit more than what we can handle. Service was quick and courteous since we were a bit after the lunch hour rush.
The food was good and the custards are much larger than the regular ones. Amongst all these, I liked the lagan nu custard the best.
Pricing for 2 was approx. Rs. 1,900.
Really loved the variety of local cuisine available from all over India! Great presentation of Dishes and cosy royal ambience ❤️😍

The food is lovely with all the Parsi flavour to it, just what they promise ! The prices are good to spend and worthy too. Ambience and servive is 20/10, over performance claimed ! We enjoyed the live rocking performance by Stavn, the band, which just added up a cherry to already wonderful setup. Overall a place, worth spending your evening at, with your loved one'$ ❤️
Came to this place to celebrate my friends birthday. Good food, good service, the people were humble and catering to our needs constantly though we were a big group
Amazing food but a suggestion from a big time Parsi Foodie Get more Parsi Dishes like Saas ni Macchi, Dhan(rice), Dal (yellow toor dal) & Kolmi(prawns) or fish no Patio & in desert add Sev👍🏻
Been to this unique named restrobar at BKC. Nice ambiance, location and crowd. Food is also uniquely deaigned. Baidaroti and a puff based snack was a good visual appeal. Good place to hang out with friends or even for post business drinks with client.
Good music lovely place with family on a weekend. The food and drinks are quite expensive ..but a good place with really good music and family crowd.
Authentic Parsi food just like how my friend's mom would make. I loved the berry pulao az it had space for all flavours to individually explode in your mouth. The Farcha was indeed delicious. Please don't change the authenticity. Much love.🌻
The food is good, the caramel custard could have been better, but love their dj.. played great music. Enjoyed every moment being there on a Saturday night

Soda Bottle Opener Wala.
Soda Bottle Opener Wala is a one stop destination for people who are in love with parsi cuisine and look for perfection in that cuisine. It's a casual all day cafe serving parsi and Bombay inspired Indian food. The interiors are inspired by Bombay Irani cafes. The place has quirky decor elements that strongly reminiscent of parsi homes.
The square tables with checked tablecloths are unmistakably Irani cafe inspired. The walls are filled with photos of famous parsi people. This specialty restaurant throws a vibrant and colorful ambiance that melts ones heart.
So I recently I visited them to experience the parsi bhonu which they were serving on the occasion of navroz.
So the Bhonu had the following dishes.
- Gajar mewa nu achar
Carrot and dried fruit, a parsi wedding pickle.
- Saria Papad
Rice Cracker
- Fish Patrice
Patrice stuffed with fish, potatoes and spices.
- Smoke Brinjal Patio
Smoky eggplant in a sweet, spicy and tangy masala
- Kid gosh
Tender baby lamb cooked in rich cashew coconut gravy.
- Masala Dal
Auspicious masaladar Dal
- Chicken pulao
Chicken cooked in aromatic pilaf
- Rotli
- Irani falooda
Classic Bombay falooda flavoured with strawberry
- Coconut macaroon crumble with Dar ni pori ice cream.
Soda bottle is an ideal place for putting people who like spending quality time with friends and family, where everyone shares a common love for parsi cuisine. The considerate staff makes the service look so effortless and quick
Irani food lover? This is your place to be! I went here with a couple of my friends to have a nice chat and enjoy some tasty food. Great service, polite and kind staff. Also, they occasionally have live band performances. That's a treat! I am gonna visit again soon!
There are very few Irani restaurants left in Mumbai. This one is one of them. If you want to get the feel of Irani food with Bun Maska with Irani Chai then this is THE place. Nowdays they serve alcohol unlike in the past. We started with Fratelli Chardonnay with Ban Maska, PaneerAkuri Sliders and Veg Cutlet. I know Bun Maska with wine is very odd combination but who cares ? I was eating my favorite Bun Maska almost after 30 yrars. Afterwards we had Veg Dhansak, Tawa Paneer Masala, Aloo Auntey's Veg with Parathas. All the dishes were delicious. In desert we had our old favorite Lagan Nu Custard, 5 Star Brownie and Mawa Cake.
What we had was not food, it was more than that. It was like going back in the past and enjoying our younger days. The ambience was very lively and family oriented. We were lucky to get a table on Saturday evening without reservation. By the time we left, it was packed. The price were very reasonable. The service was very polite and friendly thanks to our server Valmik. The decor was typical Irani with all photos and juke box taking you 50 years back in history.
Don't miss it...
We visited this place in weekends & it had best vibe at that time. We loved the Parsi/Irani dishes served here, food was super good. Staff was quick & respectful. Og berry pulao was delicious & cocktails were best.
You might get waiting if you reach late.
Step into a world of timeless charm and culinary delights at Soda Bottle Opener Waala. Indulge in the magic of Parsi & Iranian cuisine amidst iconic Irani vibes and vintage allure. Soda Bottle Opener Waala is not just a restaurant; it's a journey through Mumbai's rich food heritage, where every bite is a delightful adventure. A must-try for those seeking a taste of tradition and an unforgettable experience.
Embarked on a memorable culinary journey at SodaBottleOpenerWala in BKC. The ambiance was vibrant, setting the perfect stage for a delightful dining experience. We explored an array of dishes, from the rich and flavorful Mutton Seekh Kebab to the surprisingly delightful Egg Sandwich. The Chicken Bombs added a spicy twist, keeping our taste buds intrigued. Paired with awesome wine, the combination of diverse flavors made each bite a true delight. The crowning glory was the Best Coffee Cake—a sweet conclusion that left us longing for more. The attentive staff and cozy atmosphere further enhanced the overall enjoyment, making this visit a standout gastronomic adventure. SodaBottleOpenerWala in BKC undoubtedly stands as a go-to destination for those seeking a perfect blend of great food, awesome wine, and a vibrant dining ambiance.
Modern version of Irani cafe !
Excellent food menu which reflects Parsi food culture
Service on time and staff was attentive
Interior was fantastic took us into 80’s
Overall amazing experience!
SodaBottleOpenerWala in BKC is a vibrant celebration of Bombay's Irani cafe culture, capturing the essence of a chaotic yet wonderful world. The old-world colonial design and quirky ambiance set the stage for a culinary journey through Parsi delights.
The Irani Chai Bar offers an array of choices, spoiling patrons with options like the Shetty Bar Old Fashioned and Simply Imly. The Pull Apart Chilli Cheese, a fluffy bun stuffed and smothered with thecha butter, is as cheesy as Bollywood pickup lines. Skillet Prawns, slow-cooked in green chili butter, are a definite winner.
For mains, Paneer Sanju Baba impresses with its almond-based gravy, while the Braised Lamb Shank with Berry Pulao is a flavorful delight. Cap off the meal with the Rum Chocolate Fondant—flambéed and served with vanilla ice cream—or indulge in the Matunga Coffee Cake, a rich coffee chocolate treat with whisky-caramel sauce.
In true Bombay Irani cafe spirit, ordering becomes an amusing affair, as family anecdotes highlight the diverse preferences—from Bun Maska with Sali Mutton to Kanda Bhaji with Prawn Patio. At SodaBottleOpenerWala, it's clear that when it comes to savoring good food, conditions don't apply.
Lively place with a great Parsi/Irani atmosphere and ambience. Excellent old world options and presented in traditional style. Special mention of our table captain Chandni who recommended items and got it customised to our palate. Nice experience and feel.
SodaBottleOpenerWala celebrates a concept unique to India; and pays homage to the dying legacy of the wonderful, chaotic, crowded, bustling, colourful, quirky, cluttered, eccentric and real world Bombay Irani café.
Designed to look old-world, colonial and humorous, this quintessential Bombay Irani Cafe & Bar, dishes out Parsi fare and culinary gems famous in gymkhanas and the streets of Bombay. Come in thirsty, and the drinks from the Irani Chai Bar will leave you spoilt for choice, as does the Irani Bakery Menu; serving everything freshly baked that morning and sold by the piece.
If you want to try authentic Parsi food, do come here because you’ll fall in love with the cuisine. The food, from starters, to desserts, will give you an essence of Parsi food. The ambiance is amazing and retro, and the service is wonderful. The servers have a good knowledge of the cuisine so even if you’re new, you will definitely have a good time. You have to try their desserts, though it was a bit sweet for my taste, but definitely try it for the experience.
Must try: Dhansak, Veg Berry Pulao, Alo Aunty Veg Cutlet, Paneer Popcorn.
Amazing vibe, great food and super amazing service. Loved the experience over-all.
10/10 for SBOW❤️
Amazing Live Dj music as it was a Saturday night, typical and flavourful Parsi food dishes, if you want to enjoy authentic Parsi food and dance on to your favourite 90’s Bollywood music, then this is the right place for you.
The location is pretty cool, the ambience is also good, and the food was delectable to my taste buds! Had Salli Chicken and Chicken Farcha!
2 people can eat from the main course and the same goes for starters!
Didn't expect this place to turn into a night club on a Friday night.. Food and drinks are very very good.. Service and ambience made the night all the more memorable.. The DJ played some nice mixes from the 90's .. Worth visiting if you like your food, drinks and bollywood music :)
We ordered the following: -
1) Bun maska - 5 ⭐️ Must try
2) Potato salad - 2 ⭐️
3) Chicken Seekh kebab with humus 2 ⭐️ (Chicken was too dry)
4) Chicken berry pulao 3 ⭐️
5) Chicken dhansak 2 ⭐️

Over all good experience, friendly staff, during lunch hours it was not crowded. Quick service, good food…
We found parking (paid) so made our experience even better…
Such a quirky and well done place with awesome food.
Went on a Wednesday night, there was live music. Wonderful atmosphere, good and hot food, the beverages were absolutely amazing and I myself ordered the raspberry soda twice! The band was a also great and the wait was not too long. We enjoyed ourselves. I also tried the chocolate mousse. It was nice, but I've certainly had better. The khari pizza was an interesting order.
Food was delicious. Went for lunch with my family couple of weeks ago. It was a weekday, mostly office crowd. The ambience is like an old Parsi Cafe. Service was very prompt when it was not crowded. Try the banta sodas
and lang a nu custard ,in dessert. They serve Parsi, Goan, Iranian and some of the Maharashtrian dishes.
**There is pay and park next to this place. They have valet parking too , but it gets messy sometimes.
