Delicious Chicken Biryani... I've been missing Hyderabadi biryani in suburbs and got introduced to this place... I must say this is as good as the ones I've eaten in Hyderabad... Great taste.. Tandoori chicken however was a bit chewy, but tastey... Also it's not that expensive!!!

Awsome chicken biryani... The portion is enough & the saalan is enough to eat it all alone... Must try for all chicken lovers... Last bought the tikka biryani... Which was moist for almost 3hrs after we took the parcel...
What to say about this place. As per my opinion they provide best biryani in borivali. BBC is no where can match SS taste. This place has no ambience. Usually everybidy prefere to take away. I have tried tandoori leg piece, chiken tikka kebab, and chicken biryani. All dishes taste were too good. Must try.

Nice decent well cooked Chicken Biryani! Chicken Kebabs are good to try with the Biryani.
But, tandoori chicken will simply melt your heart! Its roasted well to perfection. Rare you find places where Tandoori chicken is cooked to perfection with appropriate masala marinated on it! Must try, even if there's a queue!

There are many similar biryani shops in the same line.
Some are slightly well maintained as compared to others..however this one is better in terms of taste.
not a place to sit and dine in...meant only for takeaways..parties and get to gathers.
The best part about this place is you can show up in the afternoon and still get tandoori. Yes! They are one of those small joints that can never be replaced. There are nearly 5 shops in the same line that serve the same thing but if you find yourself going to only one shop all this while,it means they are actually good at what they do. Good biryani. Also if you want to order per kilo they are really cost efficient. I hope one day they have a huger place and seating. I would love for them to expand as long as quality doesn't differ.
When its a month end....and you really wish to eat something good....within a budget of not more than 200 bucks....yes you land up here at S.S Caterers.......Get a tummy full DUM BIRYANI ...What matters to you is that your tongue really loves it...the pefect spicy taste of it. Yes its worth a foodie can have.

SS caterers or as we call it Anwar bhai's Biryani serves really good Biryani in Borivali, though not suggested to be eaten right at the place. It's a good takeaway joint serving Chicken Biryani in 3 proportions of small, medium and large. Tandoori comes next to the Biryani in terms of taste followed by Kebabs.

Overall, I found their offering good enough (the Biryani comes in diff. sizes) & is worth a try..
Since Non Veg food joints are far and few in this predominantly Gujarati area who are more affiliated to vegetarian fares, SS Caterers comes as a relief to yours truly. There are only 3-4 items which are sold at the place and all of them enjoy good patronage. I prefer the Tandoori chicken and do not mind standing for a lil long while watching it being prepared.

The best dum biryani in town. I bet you haven't tried a biryani like this ever. The price is also less. Rs. 100 for one large packet of biryani. Try it once and you will crave for this biryani forever. But it is a bit oily. So health freaks stay away. During festivals and 31st u need to be damn patient and be in a very long queue to get the biryani.

S.S. Caterers is located on Eksar road and is in proximity to Noor Caterers which serves same food.Its not much of a going and eat place. Mostly people choose take away. You will always find people gathered in-front of the shop for take-away. The place is filled with the aroma of Biryani and tandoori served here, its irresistible one!
The chicken biryani and tandoori's are the one I always prefer. The chicken is well cooked and the gravy is subtle, though raita is not served along. One heck of a place for biryani lovers and afforbale one. Price 90 bucks for full plate and 70 bucks for medium. Mouth watering!

Today I had been der fr biryani in m.m. Biryani centre.
On eksar road u wil get lots of biryani corners.
I also found s s caterers nearby.
Due to its positive reviews I also planned to visit s.s caterers.
They both are pure biryani joints.they both hav very limited menu.
So I tried both places fr comparison.
I had der chicken biryani.
I found both biryanis to be very tasty.
m.m. biryanis rice quality was better bt it is little more oily.
both biryanis are well cooked.
bt I found ss biryani is bit more tastier than m.m.
hygiene level of both joints is not gud
but m.m is bit better In this aspect.
prices and quantity are same.
both are not the best I hv had but not bad either.
I would say its above average.
not comparable to borivali biryani or kababchini

The place is slowly loosing its taste. Tje biryani is still mouthwatering. But the tandoori chicken nowadays is dry not juicy. Hope they improve

Now don't be surprised, if you pass this stretch of Eksar road, and see these many " hole in the wall" outlets swamped with people, for take aways. And what do all of them serve ? Biryani !
Dnt let the "shanty -like" appearance of these outlets fool you. I must admit, I almost gawked at them, when somebody recommended the Biryani , especially at SS.

One spoonful of the Biryani, and I knew I would be eating my words. Simple, understated , flavoured goodness, is what they sell at SS. The rice quality is not compromised nor is the meat.
What I like most about the Biryani is, its not greasy with gallons of oily residue at the bottom of the container. The masalas are evenly balanced, and the meat well cooked. Right up to the bone.!
The Biryani's come is various packaging , which is very convenient. Small, medium and Family Pack.
The food is very moderately priced, and a meal for 2 can cost well under 300/-

Biriyani is ok, rice quantity and taste is definitely good but I really suggest they work on their chicken pieces which is not satisfying.
A good place to get cheap Biriyani and Tandoorie. Do not expect clean place here. But the food is delicious. You have place to sit and eat but its more a delivery outlet. The food is served hot. Owner is very friendly.

This place serves one of the best biryanis ever. Biryani with their chicken tikka or chicken saalan makes a great combination. It is best to take away food than sit their and eat. They accept orders for Mutton and vegetable biryani as well.
Good outlet for delicious chicken biryani. Ideal for ordering in bulk for domestic functions like birthdays, anniversaries, get-togethers, etc. They delivered it at my Kandivali residence from Borivali and collected empty vessel next day. Our guests loved the Chicken Biryani quality.
The Tandoori Chicken is nice and juicy. The biryani is also one of the best you'd taste. But the hygiene is quite a bit questionable...just a bit
