Was craving some home food for a long time and found this place, tried out their beef roast tongue and it was full of flavour and perfectly cooked just how my grandmom makes it at home.
Want to try out a lot more specially their chicken xacuti.
Many of their dishes are available if you order in bulk (1kg) and not in small quantities so I hope more people visit. This is Legit Goan Food.

You may find this place by chance purely because of the location, in one corner ahead of the IC Colony fish market. Very authentic and reasonably priced, I suggest giving this food joint if you love Goan home made cuisine

Goan Spice was found by chance and some very good luck. Won't go into the details, but the odds of us eating here weren't too high. Yet, I managed to sniff this place out.

The place itself is a take-away counter opposite Vienna Cake Shop in IC colony. The affable fellow who owns and runs this little shop has managed to keep both prices and quality better than expected. A beef croquet will cost you 12 bucks. Most main coursey dishes cost about 100 rupees. And the portions are quite big.

All good, one would think. However, the taste of the 6 items we ordered left us asking - is this the best street food?

Everything we ordered (Beef roast, Beef chilly, Beef kheema, Pork roast) was well done and tasted good. However, the 4 items didn't taste as distinct from one another as one would expect. Also, most of the dishes had an extra zesty lime taste which is not something one looks forward to in Goan food. It's almost like the chef had taken an effort to keep the spices and tastes suited to those with a sensitive palate. Since I prefer my food spiced and steamy (they don't have a hot plate to heat up something if you want to eat right there), the place scores a 3.5. Very, very good. But room for improvement.

Food moral - try the beef croquet and the roast. The food is packed in tin foil, so takeaways tend to leak. Be careful. If you love Goan food or even just meat, you should give this place a shot.
