It was as it looked which was mouth fulfilling. Fruits were just like extra toppings in the pizza. It was so tasty... Proper balance of fruits with ice cream.. proper sugary taste.. mind refreshing..i will definitely suggest this dessert- cum- ice cream to everybody dining in .

So for the unversed Mao is a restaurant that serves Iranian n mughlai non veg as well as veg delicacies and God i loved whatever I tried there I have never visited this place but my uncle use to other this when ever we went there and I totally am a fan of this place
What I have tried chicken tikka kepsa and chicken kepsa , chicken lachha biryani , butter chicken , tandoori chicken

Chicken tikka kepsa : this is purely heaven 😍 , tandoori chicken in a aromatic rice and it has eggs and chicken tikka in it was interesting is it tastes nothing like biryani
Chicken laccha biryani: it's a creamy aromatic rice with malai chicken kebabs it's creamy and light not at all spicy the moderate spice is perfect for times when you want to eat chicken biryani but want to have something light it's nothing similar to biryani except for the fun and layers
Butter chicken : it was the best butter chicken I ever had it too buttery and it tasted amazing
Tandoori : it was just perfect and the chicken pieces just melt away in your mouth
Would definitely recommend this place to everyone
Whenever I hear the word KEPSA the 1st thing that comes to my mind is MAO THE FAMILY RESTAURANT, as it has got a variety of kepsas to choose from, which is very rare in a city like Mumbai.
Planning for a reunion with your friends? or a get together with your relatives? Then this is just the place you are looking for. 1 full size kepsa is enough to fill 4-5 stomachs and I'm not even exaggerating.

No problem, Mao The Family Restaurant serves half kepsa too.
To neutralize the spicy taste of masala it is served with salad and boiled eggs.
It goes well with coke or fresh lime sode.
That's not it. Remember to save some space for dessert.
After a heavy meal like kepsa you need something that's very smooth and light to eat yet very tasty. Caramel custard is just the right thing, as it satisfies the above conditions.

The chicken for soft and fresh.
The gravy was of good quality with soft pieces of boneless chickens.

The place is located exactly at Azad nagar metro. Quite convinient for the people travelling via metro. I had chicken shawarma from this place and I was in heaven. The quality and the quality both are incredible. Also this place is budget friendly and not much expensive.
Decent place to have a dinner with your friends and family, they serve delicious food, i have tried their fried rice it was good in taste,the butter chicken was lil bit less spicy, they can work on it.

Mao is a family restaurant situated near Azad Nagar Metro Station opposite Andheri sports complex. The Indo Chinese food is average. Indian dishes are the best choice in the menu..Would recommend to try the kepsa and the non veg starters. It's amazing and good in taste.
All Kepsa are the best!! However, TBH mutton dishes aren't that great or disappointing.

Ordered chicken tikka mini kepsa. The taste was amazing it had 2 chicken tikka pieces and 1 boiled egg as per the price the quantity was very good. A good value for money do try it out!

We had ordered the tandoori and hara bhara kebab as a starter which tastes awsome than comes the soup which was at its best And than the kepsa rice which was at the top . We all love the taste .

From check in to check out, the staff is fantastic. At check in they gave us great information on local restaurants and things happening at the resort for the week. The in house restaurant staff is very accommodating and nice. A breath of fresh air to most places we have been. The outside pool service is great for food and drinks. We used this almost everyday for lunch. The beach at this resort is fantastic as well. At low tide you can see all sorts of things from starfish, crabs, shells, sand dollars, etc. We even found three horseshoe crabs in the tide pools at low tide. We will definitely vacation here again.

Yesterday i visited this place with my friend.I would recommend dis food for indian cuisine.The restaurant has variety of food both in veg and non veg.Paneer tikka and naan was sumptuous and filling.The crispy for the starters was hot and proper spicy.There were varieties of ice creams I had butterscotch it was creamy and mouth watering. ❤❤❤
My most fav is kepsa,as i had chicken kepsa,chicken schewan kepsa ,best place for briyani ,we had orderd online also for kepsa which comes very delicous and in proper way ,i also had chicken shweram which is also lit❤️

Ordered Chicken mini Kepsa from Mao for Dinner in office...the taste is very good and delicious...need some improvement in quantity otherwise rest everything is good.
This place is located near Bhavans College and just under the Azad Nagar Metro Station making it a very convenient location. I regularly visit this place after college. There is indoor as well as outdoor seating and the restaurant is very spacious.
I have tried kepsas, shwarma, butter chicken and butter naan here. Among these dishes, kepsas are the best. I always get the Irani Chicken, Seekh Chicken or the Chicken Tikka whenever I visit this place.
Overall, the prices here are reasonable and it is a great hangout place to eat good food and relax with friends.

Over here you can try there shawarma or chicken or mutton kepsa.i love gadbad ice cream , water melon juice, chicken crispy , brownie with vanilla ice cream .ordered tandoori chicken and biryani. Food quality was good and reasonably priced
Washroom is not very clean though

Mao The Family Restaurant is located just below the Azad nager metro station the ambience is really good they have a indoor as well as outdoor setting and the indoor setting has a A/C. The service is also active is good, i visit here with my friends and the experience is always great. Now about the food, they provide a great variety of starters as i have not try them all but my favorite is Chicken lollipop. Now my all time favorite here is kepsa rice. They serve the best kepsa in the andheri locality, i love it and you should also try it.
Overall a great place to have lunch with friends and family.

Ambience: It is very spacious and has indoor as well as outdoor seating. Indoor seating has AC while outside, there are just fans. Sometimes you can find flies there.
Food: I have always tried Kepsa's here and they come in very good quantity making it shareable between 4 people. Gravy in it is something you should crave for.
Sometimes our food is oily and stale. We had to return it and new food was made for us.
Price: Prices are reasonable here but I find Milkshakes and deserts a bit expensive.

Overall, it is a good restaurant, the place has a nice ambiance, not the best in it but not too shabby too. The food was good in taste, quantity for the price point. Our waiter was a little rude, but I think that's a problem with that particular person because others were fine.

Location is awesome, its very much near by metro station. It is a Family place. Kepsa biryani is popular dish. I'll suggest you to have Chicken Tikka Kepsa, Chicken Tandoori. Portion of food is really good. It's very hygienic and inexpensive place. According to me average cost of per person will be 300 or maximum 400. And food presentation was good. Taste of food is genuinely very awesome. So it's highly recommended place....
