Me and my friends were searching for a good food place for dining and we came across this place as one of the recommended restaurant in our vicinity. We called up the restaurant and booked a table for 6 of us. We were a mix of veg and non vegetarians. As you enter the hygiene standards are maintained quite well. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The staff helped us with the menu and bestsellers. Then begun a series of yummines on our table..Key highlights from my experience: Charcoal chicken so yumm and so well cooked!! Crispy Chicken burger was TASTY!! Pasta and flat bread pizza flavourful. Best for the last was Afghan jalebi,,,❤️❤️ Overall good food, lovely food presentation, hygiene maintained and polite staff

The Colonial Palate is a classy, elegant & sophisticated casual dine restaurant which has recently opened in Fort. The setup, decor & ambience are thoughtfully crafted & showcase inspirations taken from various colonies that ruled India. TCP serves European, Mediterranean, Continental & North Indian cuisine. We tried the following Veg Food & Drinks STARTERS * Spiced Herbs & Cheese Borexs - Highly Recommended. * Wasabi Cottage Cheese - Tasty * Avocado & Horse Gram Hummus - Loved the ingredient mix . * Quinoa Fruit Salad - Healthy & Tasty MAINS * Flourless Lasagna - Unique * Classic Mac & Cheese - Loved it DESSERTS * Sandalwood Panna Cotta - Delicious * Afghan Jalebi - Humongous 😍 MOCKTAILS * Watermelon & Basil - Refreshing * Zaffran Cream - Delightful We were lucky to meet Chef Amit Rao who was kind enough to explain the restaurant concept & menu he personally curated. Food presentation is top notch, quality is impressive & flavours are beautifully blended. The Food is delicious, served hot and quick. The drinks are refreshing & tasty. Service is quick, staff is polite & attentive. TCP offers a food experience which is one of kind in mumbai. The Colonial Palate, welcome to the feel of an English club. Tucked away in the by lanes of Kalaghoda, this one is the ideal idea of an English club. Chandeliers, bright yellow lighting, palm designed pillows and green plants around, this place is all about striking the connect between modern yet English feel. The staff is absolutely warm. Kailash suggested us some great dishes The manager Mr Kaustabh was taking our feedback and ensuring we like the food. Lets start with what we tried: 1. Aranchini Balls : They have been the best so far. I loved it. The addition of the garlic paste at the bottom absolutely was the best addition. 2. Wasabi Cottage Cheese : It was a bit like paneer tikka but if you love wasabi, then this is for you. The wasabi will make through your smell senses and love you. 3. Lasagne : it was flourless and oozing with cheese. The vegetables were stacked well and the dish came out really well together. 4. Dal Makhani Buratta : We loved the addition of Buratta to dal makhani. They serve it with garlic bread. We would have loved the naan but we understand that the restaurant focuses on more gluten free options. Desserts : We tried 1. saffron pannacotta with seeds and it was a very different subtle flavour If you like chocolate, Then you have to have, the flourless brownie. It’s dark chocolate and OH GOD, so good. For mocktails : We tried 1. Green apple mojito: It was so fresh. It was not too sweet. I loved it. 2. Peach orange iced tea : The peach flavour was dominating while the orange hits you subtly and it just turns out perfect combination of sweet and sour. The staff is extremely warm. Cost for two : ₹2000 Family friendly.

An aunthentic and ambient restaurant in the peaceful lanes of Fort seving some delicious cuisines associated with the history of our country. Our food recommendations for you. Colonial Caesar Salad : Too good to be missed. Again to healthify this one they have replaced croutons with roasted crunchy walnuts. Mushroom Duxelle Kulcha : Wonderful stuffed Kulcha combination . Indeed a Mushroom lovers paradise. Spiced Herb and Cheese Boreks : Cheese stuffed croquettes goes very well with your drinks . Charred Burrata Makhanwala: A scrumptious fusion Delicacy. If you are fond of Burrata you will definitely enjoy the Makhanwala gravy combo with it. TCP Flourless Lasagna : Health food made tastier with this delicious and lips smacking floueless Lasagna . The pasta sheets are skilfully replaced by zucchini sheets . Orange Peach & Strawberry Vanilla iced teas : The place specialise in teas and the above to iced teas are too good to be missed. The Afghan Jalebi : A legendary dessert served with utmost aunthencity out here. Thank You for reading my review. Mithil Deepak Thakker

The ambience is classy, like an old world living room. Very elegant. The food is a mix & match of dishes from places which were British Colonies ... that being practically half the world. Thus one finds Mac'nCheese rubbing shoulders with a Haleem on the menu. One is assured of finding something suited to one's desire & palate in the finely designed menu. Genteel grandeur, lovely jazz, and a mixed bag of food, that's what makes The Colonial Palate.

The service is really warm and the decor is quaint. Currently during COVID they have limited seating and all the employees wear masks at all times. Afgani Jalebi is amazing and needs to be eaten while hot. The beverages are good, and the food is unique and tasteful. The prawns dishes, for me personally, were too strong in their sea taste and smell, I couldn't deal with that, but rest of the food was great.

The lanes to Kalaghoda cannot be missed. Every element there is remarkable and speaks a thousand words. To add to the club is The Colonial Palate - an all day dining restaurant that's elite and serves classic Indian influenced food from the medieval era. Warm ambience, stellar hospitality and great food best describes this place. We had Minced Chicken "Pashtun" Kebab and Moroccan Chicken Barger as starters. For main course, there is The Colonial Quinoa Chicken Biryani and Chicken "Vindaloo". We ended on a sweet note with Five Spice Pumpkin Cheesecake. So if are around this place or in the vicinity, do drop and enjoy yourself.

The Colonial Palate is one of the fantastic casual dining restaurants in the by lanes of Fort. I visited them yesterday for dinner and loved the experience. The food is very tasty, and the service is good. For Mocktails, we ordered Green Apple Mojito & Tamarind Mojito. From the Food menu, we tried Fruity Tabbouleh & Quinoa Salad – A healthy start of the meal with delicious Quinoa Salad. Balsamic reduction added the needed taste. I loved the taste and presentation. Carbon Chicken – Chicken Tikka marinated in activated Charcoal powder and tandoored to perfection. Do not go on the looks, it was super tasty. Minced Chicken Pashtun Kabab – Five pieces of soft Kabab made with minced chicken and some secret spices. I loved the taste. Charred Burrata Makkhanwala – Never seen or tasted this combination. Simply wow. Burrata went so well with the Makkhanwala and the Crispy garlic bread Pulled Tandoori Chicken Leg Smoked in Makhni Sauce – This was the highlight. Very well made. The red rice risotto, the tomato and onion salad by the side, the makhana sauce along with the chicken leg piece, made it a perfect large plate to have all by yourself. I loved it totally. For desserts, we tried Shahi Red Velvet – A different combination that went well for my taste bud. Highly recommended.
