Do not let the view from outside deter you. This no frill south Indian restaurant serves the best masala dosa in the town. Equally good are the idlis and Uttapam.
Madras cafe was nice in terms of South Indian food.
We had Dosa, Idli and the service was quick and nice. Food was good.
The ambiance a bit crowded that is because of the location and the tourist place.
Overall nice experience
We have been visiting Mussoorie from past so many years.. I think which has not changed is this cafe.. madras cafe still remains the same like it was 20 years ago.. in my visit I try visiting this place once for idli vada or dosa.. the food is good..

Madras Cafe reminded me of the Madras Cafe we had in Delhi.. This cafe shares kinda same look, interior but yet it is smaller in size.
The outlet serves yummy Dosas and good Filter coffee and Tea.
It's a good place to visit if you are in Mussorie.

The Madras Cafe with new owners has really improved its taste and quality of the cafe and the food too.
The dishes ordered including the filter coffee were absolutely great in taste....
I sat there after several years just to give it a try...but was genuinely impressed.
The ambience however can be uplifted with some light instrumentals playing in the background and a little speedy service.
Really nice place, I'm coming here since last 10 years. Same taste, same quality! Must visit place when I come to mussoorie. Filter coffee is very famous here but didn't enjoy it, it was an average one. The sambar, coconut chutney was also very good, tangy and sour! There is a see through kitchen and you can see how the food being prepared.
Surprisingly the food is really good!! Been a hardcore dosa lover, its difficult to find good south indian food in places up north (full of parathas and chole bhatures). But I loved the coconut chutney and the sambhar immediately!! The service could have been better IMO. The staff seemed novice. Had idli and dosa here. Would visit again for sure!!
We ordered Idly and Masala dosa for dinner
The food was very tasty... The best was the Red Tomato chatni...
Filter coffee was also Good
Really good place for South Indian Foodπ―

It's a good Cafe with a very careful staff. They are very attentive and will be there for you if you need anything. The food is good. I am a specific fan of Sambhar. They actually have a great kitchen. The Ambience is also very good. Minimal and not too fancy. Just what you want. The menu is also very simple. With many options for dosa and starters. Their filter coffee was a highlight. You must try this cafe if you want to try south Indian cuisine on a hill station.
