Located right on the Mall, it is one of the few places where you can get authentic Thai, Tibetan and Chinese cuisine. Surprisingly the place is not so popular. We ordered Tibetan bread Tingmo with Shamong Datsi mushroom and found the taste great and potions fulling enough for two.
Nostalgic for many, especially the lot that has studied in schools around this place.
Very pocket friendly, one of those few places serving excellent pork dishes.
Nothing much has changed in the last 25 years.
A place you must visit.
Great variety on offer for lover of Oriental food. Tibetan, Bhutanese, Chinese, Thai.
We ordered for the Shapta and Tigmo to go with it. And followed that up with Phingsa.
The waiter was kinda unsure, almost discouraging is from ordering it as he thought we may not like it. It tasted interesting. Although we doubt that the chef has actually Indianised the dishes to appeal to the larger customer base. it was impressive nonetheless.
It's a beautiful cafe right in the middle of mall road. The first floor gives a good view of the entire hustling of the market area so grab a window seat. We ordered spinach cheese momos along with peach ice tea. Best combo ever. The momos melted in my mouth, so juicy. A must try place.
Amitash (The Rice Bowl) is the best Chinese restaurant you will find in the whole of Mussoorie. The prices are extremely competitive and the it's authentic Chinese. It's located on the mall road itself, just about 100m from chic chocolate.
Must try : Chicken Wanton Soup, Thupka with Dimsums, and Fried momos. It's their speciality.
Must say the quality of food is excellent , we had honey chilli potatoes which was very well made . Fried rice was good . Value for money for the quality of food we had .
Went to this joint after binging on momos from multiple stalls on mall street..
But had to try this palace.. Hence went there.. N I'm glad I did.. It was a Sunday hence the main area was packed.. We took a table near the cashier's counter n the kitchen..
Our order taker /waiter was a little worded up /hassled with the work load to explain the menu to us. Eventually we ordered the thenthuk which was yummalicious..
I was disappointed that I could not try anything else from their menu.. The ladies at the counter were really sweet and friendly..
If u ever go to mussoorie this restaurant should definitely beon your must visit list.
Highly recommended ..
We read a good review of Rice Bowl, over the other popular Tibetan/Bhutanese food joint a few metres away. Hence we visited this place for dinner.
We ordered veg tenthukpas and special momos. the thukpas were lovely and probably the best i’ve had in tibetan food. Pricing was complete value for money! As a family of four we came out satiated and only Rs 800 (2018) lighter!
definitely a place i would revisit over and over again if the quality and price levels are maintained..
When you get tired of gallivanting on the winding Mall Road, and are looking for a place to lunch/dine in, head over to the Rice Bowl. The restaurant is on the first floor, accessible only by a wooden staircase, so if you have a small child or a heavy package with you, ask the staff to help. Frequented by tourists and students alike, this joint offers Tibetan, Bhutanese, Indo-Chinese and Thai recipes, with soups, noodles, momos(dumplings) and Thukpas (I had the Rice Bowl Special Chicken Thukpa) being the hot-selling items.
Food can be spiced up according to your taste, and the Thukpas and momos are extremely well-made, with the dough not so heavy, and the chicken filling quite fresh and tasty. I also liked the Honey Chilli Pork, and the Chicken Fried Rice, and the tab is not too heavy on your pocket. The menu was younger kids is a bit of a problem though, and the kids did not enjoy their portion of non-spicy hakka noodles and fried rice.
The place offers a small wash area for tourists, the view from the (large) windows is nice, there are some nice Tibetan paintings and photographs, and the staff is generally helpful with plenty of smiles going around the place.
Cards are accepted, but the network around the hilly terrain is frequently down, so make sure you are backed up with cash.
Very delicious momos were served here. Both fried and steamed momos were equally delicious and decently priced. Must visit for momos lover. The entrance to restraunt is Little difficult to find since it is situated on first floor and has a small entrance.

The portions here are large and the price is cheap. You can get a huge bowl of veg noodles for 170. The location is unique because the whole restaurant is on the second floor. I would recommend this place if you're hungry for rice or noodles!
The place is very nice and clean located in a Mall Road.
Menu is great 👍🏻. Get a food 🥘 for 450- 600₹ per person to full empty stomach.
Waiter were nice and politely to take order.
Food is very tasty and mouthwatering. Just taste the one page of the menu because of short time in two days.
Love the restaurant and I will visit again.
Thanks 😊 I
It's one of the best place to have thai , korean food
One of the best joints in Mussourie for Tibetan food. Must try.
Best Tibetan food in town...food quality is very good and authentic.
Taste is really authentic, good staff and clean restaurant.
In this restaurant you will get authentic chinese, thai ,tibietian and bhutani cuisines. Must try.
It's good wholesome food. Do try the Tibetan delicacies, and the bowls they offer. You'll feel pretty good after eating here, not the general heavy feeling after an oily meal if you know what I mean.

Food is very tasty and mouthwatering.
Specialties are burmese and north east cusines, we had thupaa, fried veggies, and momos
Love the restaurant and I will visit again.
Clean, good service, and tasty food.
35-year old restaurant that really was vintage. The vegetarian options were great, interiors were very quaint and quite surprisingly (pleasantly so) the music was very contemporary (John Meyer and the like). And oh total value for money!!!
Great food and service. Things new to me such as the barley drink (delicious) and the funky steamed tibetan bread. Recommended by locals who know Tibetan food. You may need to be wary of the chilli level!
You must visit this place if you are in Mussoorie. Authentic tasty Tibettan food made with love and with complete hyigeine. Owner is an aunt kind of lady who takes care of everything personally really very well. Portion sizes are bit large and prices are on lower side.
They make everything fresh so you may need to wait a little for your order to be served but it would be completely worthy. Also, they play good music and interiors are done nicely in Tibettan theme.
Really nice food preparations. Good quality.
