Was in the city for a long weekend and this place happened to be near my hotel. Enjoyed every aspect of it, from food to the slow English songs in the background. There is both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement.
Listed as the Epic Chocolate Brownie on the menu, it sure does justice to the name.
The combination of chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream has always been unbeatable. Don't tell me you haven't tried it yet!!

With its lovely ambience and great food, Frosting is the perfect place for a Sunday breakfast, a lunch date or a candlelight dinner. The garden outside the restaurant adds a nice touch to the place. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating gives a lovely view of the garden and the indoor seating has some interesting paintings on display.
A good place to hang out in groups we indulged in a lot of food and ended up tasting quite a chunk of the menu and ended up loving all of them.
The Minestrone soup is a must-try. So is their pasta and steak. Both the veg options and non-veg options taste great.Â

Wow, this shit is good. Ordered fruit smoothies, watermelon feta cheese salad and days special prawns and everything tasted just perfect. I never knew this gem was hidden right next to corner house. Il make it a point to visit this place every weekend.

This place was very much on my list to visit while in Mysore. It's an extremely cute cafe with a huge garden at the entrance with lightning. They have an outdoor sitting as well while their indoor has a wall full of frames, a perfect backdrop for clicking pics.
Coming to the disappointment, was well the food. The taste is quite average and does no justice to the lovely ambience and vibe of this place.

We had the chicken burgers, grilled chicken sandwich, and the Citrus fruit and Feta Salad. Also had a cold coffee and peach iced tea.

So we literally bumped into this place when we took a wrong turning! And what a serendipitous discovery!!
This cafe is located in a beautiful little house and adjoining garden with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is quaint - a mix of bohemian and modern styles with wood topped tables, mismatched chairs, fairy lights, and framed prints. Itâs perfect for a romantic evening âwith baeâ. The cuisine is primarily Italian with some Indo-western fusion creations as well.
We started with the Potage Pommes de Epinard (4/5) described as a French potato and spinach soup. I was expecting a creamy white potato soup with spinach leaves. What we were served was a thick leafy-green soup garnished with drops of cream. The potatoes were absent or overpowered by the spinach. Though different from the menu description the dish was delicious- creamy leafy goodness finished with off with sweet roasted garlic.
Feeling virtuous about our healthy GREEN start to the meal we moved on to a simple Margherita Pizza (4.5/5). The pizzas here are baked in a wood-fired oven rendering the perfect crust, crunchy on the edges and soft in the middle. The tomato sauce had the perfect balance of tartness & sweetness and cheese to sauce ratio.
We tried the Masala Puri Shots (3.5/5) from the Indian fusion section. (P.S: I donât remember the exact name of this dish) Pani Puri shells filled with yoghurt, pomegranate seeds and spicy filling- it was tasty but not memorable.
As you might have noticed we did not follow the logical sequence to our meal with soup, starter and then mains. We were nibbling on various eats in random order while drinking in the atmosphere. And thatâs the hallmark of a great cafe- you linger over conversation.
Apologies for the rambling review but this place deserved a lengthy write-up. We ended the meal with bruschetta ( 4/5 ). Perfectly toasted bread with assorted toppings of punchy salsa, roasted mushrooms and an olive tapenade.
Verdict : Must visit for a dinner date if in Mysore.
P.S the place also sells some fantastic gourmet dark- chocolate in luxurious & unique Indian flavours like Himalayan Berries, Candied Musambi, Jamoon etc. A word to the management - do offer samples of these lovely chocolates so people can decide what to buy. Itâs very tough to make a choice without a tiny sampler.
My 25th grand birthday dinner happened here... So this place definitely needs a special mention... The decor was fantastic... The paintings on the wall was mesmerizing... Coming to food... We had peri peri fish finger and fresh pan pizza as first course... Fish finger was finger licking good... The stuffing was so buttery and soft... Liked the pizza topped with fresh veggies... This is one of the few places in Mysore that serve a hearty English breakfast at 8am. I'd suggest you to go for the Combo 2 which consists of toast, marmalade, butter, eggs, chicken ham, chicken sausages, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, juice of your choice and coffee/tea. Total value for money. I tried their cheese and mushroom omelette along with a blueberry smoothie. Loved it.

One of the best restaurants in one of the best cities, Mysore!! Let's start with food. The food here is really good. I am a vegetarian and hence I am eligible just to speak about the vegetarian options available in this restaurant. Among the starters, I liked the Nachos as the sauces, dips & the cheese were very fresh & tasty. Next would be Falafel & Jalapeno poppers. I did not try any soup as I was in the mood to eat a lot! Coming to main course, in the pizza section they have just 4 options in veg & another 4 in non veg. This is fairly less I feel. They should definitely add few more options. Among the limited options available, Extra Veggie pizza was the best choice. This consisted of vegetables like olives, bell peppers, corn, baby corn, tomato etc. It had the right amount of cheese. The taste was really good. Coming to pastas, they have more options compared to pizzas. Pink penne pasta & penne arabiata were best among the options available. The only disappointment was Vegetable Lasagne. This was really really bad. The dish was extremely oily & was not cooked properly. And that's the only reason I have rated this restaurant just 4 stars instead of 5. The ambience is really nice & calm. They also have wide variety of wines but I haven't tried it(yet). As for the service, the staff are well behaved, composed & polite. They help you out with the menu & customizing your dishes. The pricing is slightly on the higher side but the experience is worth the money I feel. Whenever I am in Mysore, I keep visiting this place or atleast order food online from this place. It is not easy to choose a restaurant when you are visiting one of your favourite Cities just for a night. Mysore's Food Culture has so much to offer. This time we decided we'd go out for something unconventional.
Italian Food in Mysore... First thing you'd hear about is Frosting.
And truly so. In my opinion, this is one of the better Italian restaurants that I have visited so far.
For a Italian Food Lover like me, it is not easy to admit that fact.
On our very first and so far "only" visit to Frosting we did try quite a few dishes alongside Red Wine. Because, why not?
Garlic Bread, Pink Penne Pasta, Chicken Lasagne, Roasted Chicken Pizza, Tiramisu, Creme BrĂťlĂŠe are the things that we tried and loved all of them.
You may experience a little slower service here, especially on weekends. But that is justified considering the fact that they were almost fully occupied during dinner hours. They do start emptying up around 9:30 pm itself. But that's got to do with this City's habits.
Walk in to a beautiful designed restaurant in the more popular areas of Mysuru. I don't think they'll disappoint in any way.
I am giving them a 5/5 just for the fact that we had a wonderful dinner here.

this place is basically a house and it's surrounding converted into a beautiful garden Cafe,
the scenic beauty of the garden sets your mood and impression of the place even before you start experiencing it. as mentioned earlier it's a house converted into a restaurant they have set up the tables and seating nicely on the porch of the house and can comfortably accommodate up to 20 people, it's an open air atmosphere next to the garden, also they have indoor air conditioned seating arrangement along with a small in house bakery set up with rich paintings and decorations on the walls.
coming to food menu, it's majorly Continental with few Desi stuffs with soups, salads, burgers, pizzas, pastas.. etc. we ordered bunch of appetizers, salads, beverages and desserts. taste was good and the presentation is also good. my most favorite item among all was the seasonal Mango sorbet, desserts were really delicious.
prices of the food on the menu are highly expensive, they do serve wine. this place is also quite popular among overseas tourists who visits Mysore.
Lovely decor both inside and outside the cafe with lots of plantation, great music, courteous staff and great food. The chicken lasagna was amazing, the chichken crostini was delect. The seasonal fruit (Mango) Sorbet is must.

Beautiful interiors, courteous staff and great menu ! As you can see we ordered a variety of dishes and barring peri peri fish fingers , everything was pretty good ! Their chocolate-coffee shake is a must try .. the pizza was good , steaks were well prepared and the ravioli was tender .. all in all , if you have 1 place to dine in Mysore, this should be your stop ..

In appetizers we had 'Crumb fried mozzarella cheese', I would say if you're a cheese lover or not you must try these out.
In Pizza we had 'Roasted chicken pizza', which was one of the nicest pizzas I have had till date. The amount of chicken and vegetables was exceptionally good. Not just that the taste was par excellence. You could say I'm a fan of this pizza.
In Pastas we had 'Chicken lasagna', which was again a good one.
All in all if you're looking for a place with some Amazing food and great ambiance, this is it.

A quaint place with outdoor and indoor seating, this cafe is very warm and inviting. We ordered the Ceaser Salad with pesto chicken and Minced Chicken Steak. Was a bit apprehensive about the minced steak, but the patty with mashed potatoes, mushroom sauce and veggies made for a delicious combo. The dressing for the salad was served separately, which was great. We downed this yummy meal with Grover Rose wine and Tiramisu for dessert.

The theme of the cake was also likewise.
The order was given with all the details that we wanted in the custom cake & it was taken very neatly & obediently by the staff Ms. Nagamma. I must say she took all the details very carefully. I am very happy & satisfied with the outcome.

I recently tried the Quesadilla at Frosting Cake Shop & Italian Restaurant and it was a delightful experience. The Quesadilla had a perfect blend of flavors. It was served hot, and the portion size was just right. I would highly recommend it!!
