Go for authentic South Indian cuisine
Situated near the Railway station, there is ample seating space. Service is pretty fast. We stayed in Mysore for five days and every day we went there for dinner. Highly recommended is their Special Bonda soup, Mysore Masala dosa, Ragi roti, Akki roti and Idiappam.
I’ve been to a lot of Adyar Ananda Bhavan, as a sweet stall and A2B, as a restaurant, but I guess this is one the places which looks classier than the rest. There are definitely other bigger A2B’s but they look suffocating and messy in spite of the space. Here, the interiors are well done and feels like a proper sit down restaurant.
I spotted this restaurant two years back when I was to catch a night train to Chennai. Had an excellent Mini Tiffin that time so as soon as I planned a trip to Mysore I knew that I’d be having dinner at A2B on the day of departure. And so did I.
I was heavily inclined towards having Mini Tiffin but after seeing menu, ordered a Ghee Roast, which again was tempting. Ghee Roast came in its trademark cone shaped way. But it was not huge, as well as, not drenched with ghee. Generally, restaurant just pour tons and tons of ghee in Ghee Roast, in that way it was a disappointment. Mysore Masala Dosa on the other hand tasted very much like a signature dish of the restaurant. I don’t generally like the greenish aloo masala so this masala was different and nice, it even had cashew in it. Who wouldn’t like it. Sambar Vada was a perfect accompaniment to it, vada was huge but wasn’t as drenched in sambar as we expected. So we took it upon ourselves to complete the task. And at last ended the meal with a red hot filter coffee which again was terrific.
My Friend called from Mysore and asked me if I want to have anything from there so I asked him to get whatever is famous so he got me Paneer Jilebi's, Rajapalyam Pakoda, Peanuts and different varieties of rice pastes Rajapalyam kadamba kulambu, Vathal kozhambu, puli kachal, Brinjal, Tomato, pepper Kulambu, Rajapalyam Kara kuzhambu. The Paneer jilebi was dry not to blame them as I had it the next day the Pakoda and Peanuts were awesome and tried few rice pastes and they are decent tomato being the best in the ones I had till now

The food is awesome at this place. It is a very crowded place but it has a very delicious south Indian menu. The thali meals is great and so are the huge variety of dosas.

Review : Always a fan of A2B. Their food is absolutely delicious. Ghee Roast is most recommended. Puri Bhaji was excellent. I was surprised the way the Thali meal was given. Variety and taste. I didnt expect a south Indian restaurant to serve me such amazing north Indian thali.

It is located near front gate of mysore railway station, this outlet serves day to day passengers who travels from mysore railway station. They have self service as well as service option. From breakfast to lunch till dinner one can enjoy varieties of food here. My fav is always masala dosa and set dosa here during my visit with tea. They have both south and northern indian foods as well as snacks.

Combo was good except the sambhar was not good. Dosa was good as was idli and vada. Khara bath was good.
I have been to A2B restaurant last week. Ordered bisibelebath and South Indian thali meals. Food was served hot and taste was excellent. It was worth paying them for this fabulous food.

Adyar Ananda Bhavan is one of the best known restaurants for South Indian cuisine. And the one in Mysore really lives up to its name. Situated bang opposite the railway station, parking is not an issue here. The staff is friendly and ambience pleasant.
We went there for breakfast and ordered the usual but I found it to be the best as compared to all other outlets that I have tried.
We ordered-
Mini tiffin - This is a combo breakfast and can serve as a brunch too. It has masala dosa, vadai, idli, pongal and sheera. The best was the crisp dosa in the platter. Idli was okayish and vada average. But pongal was really good.
Rava khichadi- This you should definitely try out. Made with fresh veggies, this melt in the mouth upma will stimulate your appetite for more.
Poori bhaji- You really can’t go much wrong with poori and potato masala but this was definitely one notch higher.
Mysore masala dosa- Masala dosa is surely their specialty. The red chutney was spicy and the dosa crunchy. I could have eaten one more if I had not been already full.
Vada sambar - Regular fare but good as usual.
A worth visiting place for a traditional South Indian breakfast.
Food was okay. Had tried the mughlai biryani and the butter paneer. The biryani tasted delicious and the paneer was decent. Was expecting a better delicacy tbh.
Like the veg items. We ordered butter naan, jeera rice, kaju masala and navaratna curry. The taste of both Currys are too good. But whatever curry,dal and chutney they given it's not so tasty. Among veg restaurants I like the taste of veg food here.
Food is perfect and you won’t get the perfect blend of South Indian flavour else where. The service is good, wait! What? Self service is the only option available there at peak hours and the time to serve is a bit long!
I was in a one day Mysore trip and it was my returning time to Bangalore. My train was at 8:30pm. Thought of going for a quick bites and landed over here. This is just near to the Mysuru railway station, about 100mts from Railway station
Ordered Roasted Papad, 14 idly, Tea and Masala Dosa. All tastes descent. The 14 idly is quite different from the Chennai A2B and not up to them. But it is ok. we were satisfied.
The ambiance is nice, well trained staff, Quick Service. Only thing was the AC which was not working I believe. The day was so hot and AC doesn't work. you can understand.
Situated right outside the railway station, Adyar Ananda Bhavan in Mysore is the place for hungry travelers to satisfy themselves. I went here for breakfast and the huge variety of items blew my mind! I ordered masala dosa and Kara bhaath, both lip smackingly delicious! Pongal is also very good here and even the vadas are nice and crunchy. We ended our meal with two filter coffees each, one just wasn't enough!
Although being in the station, there is enough seating and you won't be left waiting for long. A good place to try South Indian delicacies.
Nice authentic south Indian food, with great hygiene and service. We ordered Mysore masala dosa, bisi bele bhat and south indian mini meals. All the items were tasty, specially liked the chutneys. Service was prompt too.
A very nice and cozy place. Great for breakfast. The pricing is decent. The food is yummy. Very cleanly maintained. The problem is if there are no seats available you have to stand and wait. Otherwise a very nice place.
I've visited this a number of times , this is a must visit place of you're looking for a perfect South Indian restaurant. The Idli is served with 3 chutneys and delicious sambar, pongal is a must try and is straight from heaven. The mini tiffin served in the evening is the best deal , you get Idli,vada,pongal,kesari bath and mini Dosa. Skip North Indian in this place, not because it's not good but this is a place to savour South Indian food. Pricing is decent for the quality of food and ambience is good but gets crowded at times. Also don't miss the hot coffee here ,tastes great!
It's a very beautifully decorated,nice big eatery place.well maintained even washrooms are clean.Price is affordable ..We had upmas and idlis ans the taste was very good
Awesome place I was new to this area and have heard that adyar ananda bhavan serves great quality food And it is a "Pure Veg Restaurant" Which I Felt Hard To Find Because Nearly Whole Population Is Non Vegetarian In This City. So I Had To Ask One Shop Keeper For Some Nearby Pure Veg Restaurant And He Told Me This And I Was Excited To Try Out As I Have Heard This Name A Lot and it is really an amazing Restaurant chain such a cheap price they are having and what a quality food they serve. Although Zomato Hasn't Updated The Menu Because Prices Are Not Correct They Have Renewed The Prices But Then Also Too Cheap.
Visited this branch and also visited the Bangalore branch near the Airport. It's pretty clean and nice with good quality veg foods and sweets. I bought the famous Mysore Pak for my home. Hats off to the sweets collection

Enroute Coorg via Mysore,the early morning hunger pangs were unbearable and hence,I was looking for a quick fix breakfast option right outside the Mysuru railway station.And what better than an outlet that was pretty much my breakfast saviour during my impromptu trips in Chennai and Puducherry,it was a delight to see A2B and giving no second thoughts,it was my breakfast fix.
The place has a decently sophisticated ambiance,pretty airy compared to the outlets competing with it.Started off with Poori Bhaji,the bhaji didn't have a flavoursome taste as such though the puri and chutney went pretty well together.Next,on the list were Rava Masala Dosa and Paper Masala Dosa(heavy hunger pangs, couldn't salvage it without eating to this extent!😋),both were decently made although the chutneys could have been a bit more tangier!And to end it on a high,I went for my coffee dose aka the South Indian filter coffee and they couldn't go wrong with it!A strong decoction to kick away the morning blues!
The service was a tad slower than expected,though they did house a pretty large crowd for an early morning time period!Well,I do hope A2B jumps the Pune food bandwagon and opens an outlet in Pune too and counters the 'sweet sambar' fads and gives an actual idea of how dosas and wadas and coffees are actually made the South Indian way!😉

After a normal day went to my mother's office to pick her while driving thought of having a quick snack or a coffee so ended up here,same dishes as served in bangalore,I thought of not taking risk as the taste really differs in some of their branches so we had mini tiffin and coffee which we order regularly if we visit A2B in mornings or evenings got it in time missed one variety of chutney other items were fine and tasted the same, courteous waiter middle aged very fast.

Visit in morning or evening try their South Indian meals,chats end it with cold badam milk,in bangalore it's delicious not sure about mysore previously said didn't want to take risk.

It's really good and hasa truly south Indian taste compared to other hotels in mysore where Sambhar tastes like chilly paste water and food really sucks!!! A2B is not just tasty, it's also very clean, nearly dressed waiters and food really tastes good!!!
It is truly good. The food is like true A2B and also the cleanliness is well maintained you will not feel that it's at Railway station. Hope the same will be maintained.....

I have been to so many A2B outlets in Bangalore but THIS one in mysore is the king of all. Amazing-lip smacking-droolable food :P kesari bath is a must try here...it's the perfect amount of sweet and ghee..the dosas are amazing with 3 different chutney...I would visit mayors just for this!!
Perfect location to have your breakfast when you go to mysore by train. Just located on the left side to mysuru railway junction main entrance. Place is big to provide good ambience. A2B have established their brand. Many would love to eat here. But, price is slightly on higher side for me.
Clean , hygienic , fast and tasty. Their poori masala and idli are extremely good breakfast options . Chaats are also tasty. One of their best dishes is kaju masala , it's a must have for all kaju lovers. Their south Indian meals are filling . Kaju pakora is a special snack of theirs and it's as good as expected . The sweets here are divine - jalebis , cashew burfi , anjeer cashew burfi , malai sandwich and others. Fast service makes this place much favoured among travellers and it's located ideally , right next to the railway station.
A2B is been for years and years in Tamilnadu. Glad that they are extending their service to the neighboring states.
One good thing is that they serve good veg cuisine near the public transport facilities of major cities like Koyambedu,Chennai/Shanti nagar, Bangalore/Ghandipuram, Coimbatore and now in Mysore. Deserves an appreciation as they make fellow people less worried about food when they are about to leave for travel. Kudos to the management:)
I've been here many times as it is in close proximity to the Mysore railway station. There is no compromise on the quality. There's no specific comments about food as the food is always a top notch. My personal favourites being rava dosai, ghee sweets, kothu poratta.
Ambiance a bit on the lower side. Quick service. I mean its self-service, but the food is delivered quickly. Thumbs up!

I have tasted food at numerous branches of Adyar ananda bhavan across various places including chennai, bangalore, Salem, ulundurpet and vilupuram, but this branch near the Mysore junction is one of the best.
I took parcel of idly and pongal while I was travelling back from Mysore to Chennai. The packaging was done neatly. They initially were reluctant to provide puthina chutney but I insisted them to give me a packet of it after which they relented.
The idlies were so soft even after it lost its warmth. Pongal was heavenly with generous use of ghee which gave a terrific flavour to it. The rice in the pongal was very well cooked to the consistency that was just appropriate for an ideal pongal. The sambar was awesome while the coconut chutney was very fresh made with generous amount of coconut and very little roasted bengal gram. Puthina chutney was also so good. And all these items were easy on the stomach and was ideal while travelling. It costed me Rs 85 which I thought was good value for money.
Nice restaurant. South Indian dishes are great. Not sure about the north indian. Service is quick. Though some of the dishes are unavailable all the time so better check before. Had Kurma parotta and veg thali. Both were very good in taste.
