It was not very easy to find this restaurant. There was a signboard telling you that this was "Funnel" but it doesn't look like a big restaurant. It is adjacent to an apartment. And parking was a bit difficult as it is roadside parking..
Coming to the food, as the other reviews tell you, the manager there does help you choose something keeping your taste palate in mind.. The menu card is really very lengthy and even the staff do realize this.. They give you all the time to choose but we can ask for help from them..
Taste-wise, pretty good.. Cost-wise fine.. Ambience is okay.. There was a power outage when we went there and we kind of had a torch light lunch where nothing was visible..
We went on a Saturday noon planning for a buffet, but we were told that buffet is available only on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays for lunch..
Nice place for a dining out. Loved the cutlery used. Service is really nice and the ambiance is also great.
Taste and quality of food is consistent. Do not miss Spicy Mushroom Manchurian here. Other food items were also good.
Inside ambience with lot of funnels around was not so pleasing for me. If you have troublesome kids, you can ask them to keep counting those funnels and enjoy your dinner:)
The buffet is good here. They serve around 4 non vegetarian dishes and a decent varieties of vegetarian dishes. The salads was ok. The desserts was also good. The only down side I felt was that the Kebabs was undercooked. Overall its a treat for the price you pay. The ambience was ok. But the lighting there is not that good.
1. Ambience: Really good. Kinda romantic!! Go with your crush alone or in group....u will love the experience.
2. Food variety: not all the items on menu are available. For vegetarians, there are not many options.
3. Food quality: pretty good. Biryani is must eat. Mocktails are good.
4. Staff: fine only.
Had a team party at this restaurant. A nice place to hangout with your team. Occupancy for 100 people. Good for small team party and birthday party. Food taste was really good with lot of options. The buffet place is well organized and served by thr restaurants. Tried the vegeterian and the food was tasty with lot of menu options. Definitely recommend this restaurant..
A good restaurant with wide variety of choices. Usually they provide buffet for lunch time only at around 400 rs per plate.
We went for dinner and requested for buffet they agreed buy instead of usual way they served it on our place.
If you visit this place for celebrating someone's birthday they also offer you a birthday cake for free and they will play happy birthday song for you also.
All in all a good experience.
Centrally located in Gokulam with adequate parking, this new restaurant (March 2016) offers an interesting and varied buffet (veg and non-veg) as well as à la carte. It is air conditioned with comfortable modern décor, good food and attentive staff.
I have been to many places in India and visited many restaurants, but this is the first place where as a gesture they presented us Papad .
Tears of happiness were about to come because of such a good will gesture.
And the staff here very well behaved.
I had been here for the buffet lunch...the menu was really worth for the price range(costs 400₹/person)with great quality food..
Ambient place with courteous staff.
Had a great experience...
Hi Google users,
I had visited "The Funnel" on 20-May with my family for lunch. The ambience was good.
We took some time to order since there were many options. We ordered Cheese Corn balls. They were very tasty. We also ordered the Vegetable Platter. One word of caution is that their portions are huge so please order carefully. The Vegetable Platter had all types of Grilled vegetables including Potatoes, Onions, Paneer, mushrooms and Naans.
For main course we ordered Vegetable Noodles, Schezwan noodles and Peas Pulav. The highlight was the Peas Pulav as it was very yummy and wholesome. We finished the meal with refreshing fresh lime sodas.
The only improvement required was their table service as we had to be ask for being served on many occasions.
Overall a good place and a place worth visiting for lunch if you are in and around Mysore.
Regards,
Deepak Holla.
Foodies paradise. Great place, ambience, courteous, polite well trained-groomed staff.
Veg platter is a must on everyone's pallete. Everything is very subtle, healthier as well all economical at same time. A must visit place.
Good ambience. Space is slightly small though.
Funnel spl kabab and mutton dish was good.
Soup and fried rice average. Little extra spicy.
Staff were very friendly. Ambience is good but could have been better for the price. Food was delicious but for vegetarians the menu was short.
