Being a regular customer to this place for at least a year, one of the very few places where food quality is not compromised in terms of health and taste of authentic meals .The cafe provides their hospitality at best for what they can provide . As long as I am in Mysore this is the place I resort to really good food also spreading the word to everyone I know in Mysore for its authenticity.
Nice and cozy place. The food verities are good and plenty of options to choose from. Dont miss those sandwiches and the Power Smoothies. Best place and relax and enjoy the food.
Was feeling a bit sick but was craving white sauce pasta.. have been meaning to try out cafe roots since quite some time so thought to give it a shot. Have to say, wasn't really disappointed.! Zomato delivered the pasta while it was still hot. The pasta was well prepared. Was expecting it to be creamier and may be with some good veggies (this one just had olives!). On Any other day, I would have issues with the less veggies and bland taste but since it was delivered hot and was well packed, it made a good dinner :)
The place is very short on seating. Hardly 10 people can sit there at a one time. But this doesn't take away anything from the mouth-watering food they have to offer. I have been there quite sometimes and occasionally have the food delivered home. Quality of food is to notch with chicken steaks being the highlight of this cafe. Never miss it if by chance you get a chance to visit this place. Heads up: Prices on the menu are highly reasonable. Recommended.

Lively n lovely place. Lots of new things to try out. Healthy food options. My personal favorite - pancakes! And I loved the pasta too. A very clean presentation of food and quick service. Must visit for cafe lovers. Do visit! ✌️
Food was great! Though initially it seemed that it was over-priced, the food was tasty and seemed worth it. The only issue we had was the wait time. It took over an hour for the food to be prepared.

Tasty food. We ordered Peri Peri Chicken and it was amazing 😋 The staff is very polite. The ambiance is cozy and music is good too. The prices are reasonable. It's a good place to hangout and chill.
We came here for a birthday celebration and we had so much fun here..The owner was very sweet and even gave the birthday girl a free brownie when we made her ask him for one on a dare.I would definitely recommend this place to other people

Wonderful and peaceful place to hangout with your friends specially when you wants to have some serious discussions. The quality of food served is fresh, good. Though sometimes you have to wait longer for your order but it's worth the wait. As the food is very fresh and pleasing to your taste buds.
I had a pancake with banana and chocolate syrup and one cappuccino both were fresh and yummy.

I have had the best pastas in town here....the mexican pasta and the bolognese pasta was very tasty.....we had brownie with ice crean also which was with the right temperature and texture

Lovely place run by lovely people. With a new look, the ambience is even better now. Coming to the menu... I've never experienced a bad food from them. From Appam and stew to burgers to fish and chips to paddu... Everything is the best. Herbal Tea and banana cake are a must try. You gotta be lucky, the banana cake gets over quick! ;)
A very unique fast food place , with amazing burger and juices. I think it's one of the finest cafe's in Mysore. They also have vegan food detox juices so a good place for health freaks.

Foss was delicious and fresh. served in a timely manner and they were even so kind as to to give me a complimentary digestive drink (not in the picture. If there was one thing that could make it better it would be a few more fries with the meal. I will definitely be back again to try the vegan options.

This is the one close to heart place for us in Mysore .We visit them since they have started the place.And the reason for the frequent visits was the simply superb delicious food they provide. My Personal favourite is Chicken steak.And now they have started grilled fish in butter sauce .It's too yum.They have a variety of dishes starting from millet dosa,salads,chats,smoothies,burgers,steaks and mouth watering brownies!!!Our hang out place forever in Mysore.Last but not the least the hosts,,they are so firendly and helping..

Some great juices and smoothies. Dosa and egg breakfast were good. Millets special lunch was a highlight here, that is highly recommended. Good service.

Cafe Roots is a small natural bistro cafe on contour road in Gokulam, Mysore. The place is that one of the hole in the wall setups in the city.
I recently visited this place in the evening for dinner and the place is small and serene but quite lively too. I somehow liked the colour of the walls (probably coz it went well with the name Roots).
Nothing much about the ambiance, but they have a few very good real pics hung on the walls. They have few tables with 2-3 seaters. English music is played in the background (most of them being the latest tracks) and they have a small collection of novels too.
The service is pretty fast to be honest and coming to the food we had the cream of tomato (tasted more like shorba, but it tastes good so I will give it to them for serving a decent tomato based soup) and then we had the veg Mexican pasta and appam with veg stew.
The garlic bread was yummy !!! Finally some good garlic bread in town.
The pasta was tasty too. It was a tomato based tangy pasta with lots of veggies and sauce - creamy just the way I like my pasta.
The appam was not great (review of a chennaiyan) appam supposed to be soft and should absorb all the stew when poured over it, which this appam did not so giving it an ok review but the veg stew was good enough and again with loads of veggies.
All in all a good place and they have omelettes and pancakes on their menu too so definitely going back to Cafe Roots to try out their other pastas and breakfast and of course when ever I feel having some good tomato soup.
